Dear Ones,

Kp is at 8 right now, and has been so for 6 hours. A severe geostorm is in progress.

I suggest to avoid driving right now, as reaction times may be affected, and also, in my personal experience, my car batteries may drain out and die just like that during a severe geostorm. More is the woe, is it not?!

As well, I feel from personal experience it is best to avoid doing anything rash or physically hazardous. I find that a good night’s sleep is the best option.

I have tried it in this Solar Maximum, but it has not worked so far; so let’s see what will happen today.

I got the Kp index information from the Space Weather alerts that can be obtained from “Space Weather” … https://spaceweather.com … The alerts are the most up-to-date information available. I got the protonfall information from the website.
