Kp is at 8 – This is a severe geostorm alert.

I suggest to avoid driving right now, as reaction times may be affected.

As well, I feel from personal experience it is best to avoid doing anything rash or physically hazardous. A good night’s sleep is the best option.

I have tried it in this Solar Maximum, but it has not worked so far; so let’s see what will happen today.

Dear Ones,

I guess all my readers can tell we are in a geostorm with reverb effects and with protonfall near the speed of Light.. It looks to me from today’s SpaceWeather.com archive page … https://www.spaceweather.com/archive.php?view=1&day=27&month=02&year=2023 … that the Kp index has reached 7 last night, since the new, refined Kp index system shows 6.67 right now. I say that because it look like NOAA is still rounding up to the next higher figure … that would be 7 right now … in order to classify the strength of a geostorm.

As you can see here … https://www.spaceweather.com/glossary/g3.jpg … that would mean we are at G3 geostorm level. That would be classified as a ‘strong’ storm.
