Unusual Sunlight during Direct-Hit CME Last Week … by Alice B. Clagett

I looked outside at 4:30 pm on 15 February 2018, PST, through my patio door and the screen door behind it, and saw an unusually bright, flickering light near the ground next to my lemon tree …

On closer observation, I found that the Sun was intermittently reflecting off of a blue tag on my sprinkler …

I’ve never seen this type of light reflected there before. I feel it may have to do with the Direct-Hit CME (coronal mass ejection) that was taking place at that time.

Dear Ones,

YESTERDAY’S X-FLARE: X8.2 TO X20

There has been another X flare … variously extimated as X8.2 to X20 … quite significant … at about 9 am PDT yesterday … it affected about half the solar system, which is unusual. There has been a ham radio blackout in the Americas since then; it’s now subsiding. There’s a mild radiation storm in progress. Because the flare happened as the sunspot turned away from Earth, SWPC predicts only a G2 geostorm. SWPC provides prompt alerts on space weather conditions:

SO calls it a ‘Killer X Flare’ … but fortunately it wasn’t facing Earth directly. I feel it would have been a Carrington Event, rather than a planet killer, had it been footprinted to Earth.

EFFECT OF A CORONAL MASS EJECTION ON EARTH DEPENDS ON HOW EARTH-DIRECTED THE EJECTION IS, AS WELL AS ON HOW SEVERE THE GEOSTORM IS

The more Earth-directed the CME, the stronger the Earth effects. These effects incoude:

  • ham radio blackouts
  • interference with low-frequency navigation signals, including loss of navigation signals
  • interference with spacecraft operations, including degradation of satellite navigation systems
  • GPS and internet blackouts or loss
  • radiation hazard to astronauts and people in high-flying airplanes
  • potential isolated or widespread power grid failures, either blackouts or collapse of grids
  • damage to power transformers
  • pipeline currents reaching hundreds of amps
  • auroras seen lower than usual; in the extreme case, as low as Florida and southern Texas

WAS YESTERDAY’S X-FLARE A ‘KILLER FLARE’?

However, the sunspot was departing Earth as it erupted:

On the other hand, proton radiation from the eruption flew out on all sides of the sun, including, it looks like, a proton cloud headed towards Earth:

ENLIL Spiral Model of CME’s Impact on Earth

Space Weather News has noted that the ENLIL Spiral model below shows a CME blast that is more conservative than the satellite imagery, which shows a CME affecting more than half the solar system:

On Figuring Out the  ENLIL Model

I’ve been trying to figure out the ENLIL model for a while now. I haven’t found much out there by way of explanation except this, which, by my non-techie lights is about as clear as mud:

I’ll hazard some comments anyway:

The ENLIL Key. As shown in the key at the top of the streamers, the planets are depicted as variously colored circles.

  • Earth is a yellow circle,
  • Mars is a red circle,
  • Mercury is an orange circle,
  • Venus is a green circle,
  • the squares represent two spacecraft equipped with cameras, Stereo_A (red) and Stereo_B (blue)
  • the black diamond, Osiris-REx, is a spacecraft launched to study a particular asteroid so as to help determine how the Solar system was formed and how it evolved
  • the pink square, Spitzer, may refer to the Spitzer Space Telescope spacecraft

Left Image … the Equatorial Cut Plane: It looks to me like the round image on the far left shows a model of our Solar System as viewed from above. In the moving view, CMEs can be seen sweeping out from the Sun and past the planets. This is termed the ‘equatorial cut plane’ view.

Center Image … the Meridional Cut Plane: This may be a model showing Earth (the yellow circle) and the incoming CME (the wing of yellow, red and green energy) as seen from just beyond the side of Earth on the far side of the Sun. I figure this must be the case, as the CME storm shown as a ‘C’ in the left-hand image would look like the CME wing in the center image if seen from that perspective.

Right Image … a Radial Surface: I notice that spacecraft Stereo_A (the red square), the Spitzer Space Telescope spacecraft (the pink square) and spacecraft Stereo_B (the blue square) are all lined up with Earth in this model.

From the Left Image, I note that all three spacecraft are positioned about as far from the Sun as is Earth.

The second circular line in the Left Image includes the red square, the pink square, the yellow circle (Earth) and the blue square, in the same order as the straight line in the Right Image. It must be, then, that a ‘Radial Surface’ image is a straightened out model of the second circular line in the Left Image. 

From this Right Image we might get a general idea of the composite photos of the event from the three spacecraft. This is just my uneducated guess …

Ground Level Event (GLE) on 10 September 2017

Note also that a ground level event (GLE) was observed near both the North Pole and the South Pole on 10 September 2017.

According to Space Weather, 11 September 2017 Archive … http://www.spaceweather.com/archive.php?view=1&day=12&month=09&year=2017 … what happened was that radioactive particles penetrated Earth’s protective EMF and touched Earth.

Space Weather feels this happened because of the position of the 10 September 2017 X-Flare on the Western limb of the Sun. On looking at the blue and black photo of the flare, above, you will see the X-flare erupting on right side of the image.

Were this to be a photo of Earth, the right side of the image would be the Eastern side; however, East and West are reversed on Sun images. Thus you are viewing a Western Limb flare.

Per Space Weather, Western Limb flares have a stronger impact on Earth because this area of the Sun is so strongly magnetically connected to Earth. Here’s an illustration:

To me, this seems to be another indication that the overall geoeffect of the X-flare may be somewhat greater than expected. At least, the radiation effect, due to the early X-ray influx, was strong.

Conclusion Regarding Strength of the Solar Flare

Taking all the above into consideration, while the sunspot was departing Earth when it erupted into a CME, there was an Earth-directed component to the eruption that may result in a low level geostorm today and tomorrow.

In the event the satellite imagery proves more true-to-life than the ENLIL Spiral model, then the moderate G2 geostorm prediction by Space Weather Prediction Center (SWPC) for tomorrow … http://www.swpc.noaa.gov/news/g2-watch-issued-13-september-g1-watch-issued-14-september … will likely be a little too conservative as well.

Protonfall now … is 6177, which is rather high. Both the speed and the density of protonfall are on the high side, so the CME is most likely already beginning to impact Earth’s atmosphere. 

It might be that we will see G3 geostorm conditions tomorrow, 11 September 2017 PDT, rather than G2.

I myself believe this was, at most, a Carrington Event, even had it been Earth directed, rather than a killer flare … and most likely a ‘semi-Carrington’ … My reasoning is this:

On the attached list of largest X-flares in recorded history, some of the largest … as large as yesterday’s flare … have produced CMEs that were Earth directed. While there were radio blackouts, and in one case, power grid failures in Canada  (which is farther north than the United States, and thus more at the effect of solar storms), none but the 1859 CME produced a Carrington event.

I note also having read that communication lines today are more insulated than the telegraph lines of 1859, which were so greatly affected by the 1859 event. This by way of mitigating factors.

I couldn’t find movies or archive for this. However, I have this description from Wikipedia:

“The geomagnetic storm causing this event was itself the result of a coronal mass ejection on March 9, 1989.[1] A few days before, on March 6, a very large X15-class solar flare also occurred.[2] Three and a half days later, at 2:44 am EST on March 13, a severe geomagnetic storm struck Earth.[3][4] The storm began on Earth with extremely intense auroras at the poles. The aurora could be seen as far south as Texas and Florida.[5] As this occurred during the Cold War, an unknown number of people worried that a nuclear first strike might be in progress.[5] Others incorrectly considered the intense auroras to be associated with the Space Shuttle mission STS-29, which had been launched on March 13 at 9:57:00 AM.[6] The burst caused short-wave radio interference, including the disruption of radio signals from Radio Free Europe into Russia. It was initially believed that the signals had been jammed by the Soviet government….

“The variations in the earth’s magnetic field also tripped circuit breakers on Hydro-Québec‘s power grid. The utility’s very long transmission lines and the fact that most of Quebec sits on a large rock shield prevented current flowing through the earth, finding a less resistant path along the 735 kV power lines.[8]” –from Wikipedia (2)

As you see, one was just moving out of the dark side of the sun, several were departing Earth, and one was directly facing Earth. Yet none created a Carrington Event.

I read that the series of X-flares that led to the Quebec power grid failure in March 1989 … which might be considered a ‘semi-Carrington event’ …  led the way to the power and speed of the final flare, by clearing the way through space for it.

As to the 1859 Carrington event itself, I have no figures on the strength of the CME. An astronomer at the North Pole was able to see the sunspot, which was presumably Earth facing.

I have yet to isolate the factors specific to a Carrington event.

Here are a few good rules of thumb about where to locate oneself physically during a Solar Event, so as to shelter from the noosphere and regenerate one’s personal electromagnetic field:

  1. If you get good cell phone reception where you are standing, that is not the best place to be during Solar Events.
  2. If the place where you are standing would make a good cell phone tower location … like the top of a mountain or the roof of a building … that is a very poor choice of a place to be during Solar Events.
  3. For you ARE like a cell phone tower. You ARE the lines of Light between the Sun and Earth. If the conversation gets too commotional, you may wish to find geoshelter.
  4. And so, I suggest, from now through September 2016, adjust your location during Solar Events to suit your comfort zone.

… and on the way down this hill, there is a place to stop, at the edge of the road, that is protected from the noosphere of the big city [Los Angeles] here. The only thing is, in this particular location I know from past experience there are rattlesnakes around. So you have to be careful where you sit.

This is a different kind of steeply inclined set of hills, with a valley between; and it is facing east-west, which, generally, is not as good as a north-south-facing valley …

… see, there is the afternoon sun, up there [pans upward], and down that way … [pans downward, to the east-west-facing valley] … it is pretty much not a populated area. all the way to the ocean. So, as the Earth turns from west to east, every day, the noosphere will be lagging backwards a little bit, that way [shows a westerly direction].

And then the buildup of noospheric energy will occur over here … [pans around 180 degrees, showing an easterly direction] … on the east side of the valley. But the hills here cut that energy off. So the noospheric energy will flow up in the sky [pans upward], and on down that way … [pans westerly] … towards the ocean.

So a person situated very deep down in this hollow down here …

… might be well protected from the noosphere during a solar event.

Earth’s Rotation and the Motion of Astral Matter in the Fourth Dimension: A Hypothetical

Something to keep in mind is the rotation of the Earth with regard to the Sun. Here is how I figured it out (and then I checked it online). First I imagined how the Sun rises in the East every day, and sets in the West. And then I imagined the Sun stationary … as if I were standing on the Sun. And I imagined which way the Earth would have to rotate, if I had a friend sitting on Earth when the Sun rose in the morning.

From that visualization I figured out that the Earth must rotate from west to east … the opposite of what the Sun seems to be doing. Sometimes you will find it online otherwise, but in fact that is the way it actually is: The Earth rotates from west to east.

So the noospheric buildup … This is a hypothetical theory to fit what has been my experience … will be a sort of frictional failure to move, as regards the astral matter and the noospheric energies … as the rotation of Earth from west to east occurs.

It is building up kind of like snow in front of a snow plow, on the east side of wherever you are. So that is where you need to have a range of hills … there to the east … so that the noospheric buildup skims over the top of the hills and misses your ‘mini-noosphere’ … your Lower Mental Body, your Higher Mental Body, and your Superconscious Mind.

And then there is the question of the congestion … human population in the area. And of course, that is very important. You want hills between you and wherever there is congested human population.

Standing in a Bowl of Mountains

This is Lockwood Valley here, which is north of Ojai, California. And over there, to the north, there is a range of mountains …

And over here on this side, towards the ocean …  [pans west] … there is a range of mountains, on the other side of which is the Pacific Ocean.

You cannot see it, but on the other side … [pans easterly] … there is another range of mountains …

And what we have here, in Lockwood Valley, is a place that is very sparsely populated. There are a lot of nature spirits, because of all the trees here. There has not been a forest fire here in some time. The trees are in excellent shape. And this place is pretty much surrounded by mountains.

Consequently, it is extremely quiet, noospherically. The minute you descend from the high mountains [from the Los Padres National Forest along Highway 33 between Ojai and Lockwood Valley] down to here, suddenly there is noospheric silence. So this is a good example of a place where you could go, to replenish your electromagnetic field.

Standing in a Dirt Bowl Inside a Bowl of Mountains

I noticed a very peculiar landmark feature here, which seems to me to be inaccessible because it is on private land; however, we can view it from afar. It is a very small bowl. It looks like it was created by a landslide. Can you see? …

… like a tiny caldera (volcanic crater), or a tiny meteor hit. (Of course, that is not it; it was created by something else.) And it looks like …

… it goes down farther, beneath my field of vision. If the sides of that bowl were to be stable, then sitting at the bottom of it (not too close to the far wall, which does not look too stable), but closer to this near side of it, might be a very good place to be, for electromagnetic field regeneration … especially considering that all along this stretch … [pans 180 degrees] … there are mountains all around it. And so it is a relatively low area, with a bowl inside it: Two features.

And around this way … [pans 180 degrees in the other direction] … there are more mountains; really, no houses to speak of … just a couple of ranches. So there is another type of geoshelter, a very unusual one; only, I would be very careful, here, of this ‘look’ of landslide, and sit far from it.

Conclusion

Now you know where to begin, anyway. And you can take it from there, and maybe develop some rules of your own.

Dear Ones,

Here are some observations about natural and manmade barriers where we can shelter from the noosphere of large cities during solar events. This is particularly apropos for people who, like me, have become electromagnetic hypersensitive … which is to say, their DNA is expanding and they are gaining new clair abilities.

Hello, Dear Ones, It’s Alice. I Am of the Stars.

I am here on the Ray Miller Trail hike in La Jolla Canyon, California. I am not sure if this is actually the Ray Miller Trail … I think it may be a fire road after the trail. I am heading down towards one of two overnight campgrounds in the Santa Monica Mountains. I am going to go see what it looks like right now, because there has been a huge fire around here; the other trail, over on the other side [nods left] is impassable right now. I tried, but I could not get through. Somebody else got through, but I am not sure how.

I just thought I would mention, on the heels of the recent geostorm … because geostorms cause noospheric discordant sounds in the clair chatter on the astral plane  … I just thought I would mention something about keeping the electromagnetic field steady during solar events and geostorms …

If you live in a large city, and want to escape noospheric chatter because of a solar event or geostorm, or because you are becoming increasingly electromagnetic-field-sensitive, I can suggest three kinds of natural barriers that will allow you to break away from the great noosphere of the city, and renew your own electromagnetic field to its pristine state.

North-South Valley

Two hills or mountains with a sparsely populated North-South (longitudinal) valley between. This works well because the rotation of Earth is west to east, which causes a slight latitudinal drift or drag in the astral currents that contain the thought forms of the noosphere. Thus the astral currents drift slowly over the tops of the hills or mountains, and a north-south valley is sheltered.

One is a north-south valley. Steeply inclined mountains on either side is best. And you situate yourself in the low part of the valley. The reason that this seems to work, even if the valley is very close to, or even, in the middle of a city, is that the rotation of Earth creates a movement in the astral currents of the fourth dimension. And these astral currents are what carry the noospheric thought forms.

And so really, the north-south-facing valley is at the bottom of two mountain ranges that act as barriers that keep the noospheric energy skimming over the tops of those mountains, as they create a noospheric east-west lag current. So you are safe from that, and you can recuperate there.

Bowl-Shaped Barrier

Bowl-shaped circle of mountains, meteoric depression, or dormant shell of a volcano (‘caldera’) … or a smaller version of these … provided this area is sparsely populated

Another type of barrier is a deep bowl shape … say, a circle of mountains. Or it could be a meteor-strike depression, wher you are situated at the bottom of the depression. Or it could be a volcanic depression or cone, provided the volcano is completely dormant … that kind of thing: A circle of hills, and you are at the bottom of that.

That also is protection, because of the movement of Earth; and so the thought forms are skimming over the top of your geological bowl. You are safe there.

Mountain Barrier on the Other Side of Your City

Get on the other side of a mountain barrier by your city. The other side of the mountain needs to be sparsely populated.

The last thing I can think of, if you are living in a big city, is simply to find a mountain barrier facing in any direction, on the other side of your city, and go beyond that barrier ,,. behind the mountains there. Ok? Because the thought forms in a city tend to settle down around there. They spread out kind of like smog.

If the mountain range that you are considering, to hide behind, or use as a barrier, prevents the smog from spreading, it is likely that it prevents the noospheric energy from spreading too.

For People Who Live in Flat Places: Underground or Other Shelters

For folks who live in very flat places: underground; tornado shelters, for example, or underground parking lots (to me these seem too weighty, but there are those who like this), or any quiet underpass under a wide, concrete bridge; or a drainage culvert on a quiet road. Then there are tunnels, caves, and igloos.

For people who live in very flat places, they should know that underground is a possibility. In Kansas, for instance, there are tornado shelters and so forth. The freeway tornado shelters I have seen there are above ground, but covered in thick concrete, which I feel would act as a noospheric barrier.  Although concrete is apparently a good barrier to noospheric turmoil, there are intuitives who feel that concrete floors leach energy from the human EMF; this is something to consider in terms of long range living conditions, on a personal intuitive basis.

In other locales, there are underground parking lots that may be helpful. To me they seem too weighty; but there are others who swear by that.

In rural areas, an underpass that is never well traveled is a consideration. You could pull over on the side of the underpass. If it is widely covered on top, and if it is cement, then that also will stop the noospheric chatter for a while.

So for instance, if you are driving along, and you are heading for one of these other places, and things get kind of intense, then you can pull over and rest in a place like that, on a road that is freeway access that really goes nowhere and that has not traffic on it. I think it is the weight of the cement overhead, that allows you to renew your own electromagnetic field.

Drainage culverts on little traveled country roads are also a possibility, provided, of course, that there is no chance of rain.

Then there are tunnels and caves, whether natural or manmade.

In unpopulated rural cold-climate areas, an igloo most likely would work (although I have not tried this).

Being in Nature

Being in nature: the seashore, the mountains, or the desert, for instance … and away from the city.

Being in nature, especially in a forest, or in a desert, or by the sea shore … that allows a renewal of the personal electromagnetic field.

Being in Your Own Home

Being quietly in your own home.

Just being very quietly in your own home, and not going out, is a very good idea during a geostorm.

Within the home, windows are a hindrance, as are electric or electronic devices and electric wires either with your home’s walls or lying on the floor.

Turbulent photonic light can ping through your home’s windows and seems somehow to bounce off of interior walls like billiard balls on a pool table, only three dimensionally. Artificial electrical and electronic fields in the home increase photonic light turbulence during a geostorm.

Inside the home, wooden barriers, especially hardwood 2 inches thick, are helpful, such as lumber benches or hardwood planks or closets with wooden doors.

Heavy Weight Aluminum Foil

Wearing an aluminum foil cap or using a foil tent.

People talk about using heavy weight aluminum foil as a cap on the head or a tent over the body during severe geostorms. I realize this is pretty much a joke to most people; but, I figure, any port in a (geo)storm. 

If it works for you, then I feel it will be all right in the short term to use it. But long term, I feel that aluminum foil on or near the head interferes with brain function; this is just my personal intuition about it; you may feel differently.

Conclusion

No doubt you are going to come up with a lot more ideas than I have come up with.

Of course, these things only apply if you are electromagnetic field sensitive. But a lot of people are starting to become a little more EMF-sensitive; so, if you are really bothered by a particular storm, then these are things to consider for the day, or for the afternoon, or whenever.
