  • ALCOHOLICS AND HARD DRUG USERS
  • THOSE WITH HIV OR AIDS
  • SEX WORKERS, PORN INDUSTRY WORKERS, AND CLIENTS OF SEX WORKERS

Dear Ones,

I took a look at the Centers for Disease Control’s proposed rollout for the COVID-19 vaccines … https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/vaccines/recommendations.html … and saw that their Tier 2 for Phase 1c is …

“People aged 16—64 years with underlying medical conditions which increase the risk of serious, life-threatening complications from COVID-19.”

Then I searched out who is eligible for the COVID-19 vaccines in Los Angeles County, California … http://www.publichealth.lacounty.gov/media/coronavirus/vaccine/index.htm … and saw a roughly equivalent Tier 1b including people with serious medical conditions for whom vaccines are now available …  http://publichealth.lacounty.gov/acd/ncorona2019/vaccine/hcwsignup/?level_1=step-1-eligibility&level_2=elig-health-conditions

From the latter webpage, I see that starting 15 March 2021, COVID-19 vaccinations are available in Los Angeles County for those who are 16 to 64 years of age and who have high risk health conditions and disabilities such as …

  • Cancer, current with weakened immune system
  • Chronic kidney disease, stage 4 or above
  • Chronic pulmonary disease, oxygen dependent
  • Down syndrome
  • Solid organ transplant, leading to a weakened immune system
  • Pregnancy
  • Sickle cell disease
  • Heart conditions, such as heart failure, coronary artery disease, or cardiomyopathies (but not hypertension)
  • Severe obesity (Body Mass Index of 40 or greater, CDC BMI Calculator)
  • Type 2 diabetes mellitus with hemoglobin A1c level greater than 7.5%
  • People who, as a result of a developmental or other significant high-risk disability, meet one or more of the following criteria:
    • A COVID-19 infection is likely to result in severe life-threatening illness or death; OR
    • Acquiring COVID-19 will limit the individual’s ability to receive ongoing care or services vital to their well-being and survival; OR
    • Providing adequate and timely COVID care will be particularly challenging as a result of the individual’s disability.
    • The three criteria above include people with a range of physical and behavioral disabilities including
      • Individuals with severe behavioral health issues and substance use disorders …”

ALCOHOLICS AND HARD DRUG USERS

At the bottom of the list, I have bolded the directive that people with substance use disorders are able to get the vaccine now. That might include alcoholics and people who have a habit of using hard drugs, but that information might not yet be widely available as it is not bolded in the list. I feel it might be good to give it more emphasis on the Los Angeles County web page.

THOSE WITH HIV OR AIDS

Below that on the Los Angeles County list I see that enrolled customers of Medi-Cal HIV/AIDS Waiver can get the vaccines. As I read the description of the waiver, that would include a sector of people severely ill with HIV/AIDS, which would be good to include among those for whom the vaccine is available, of course, since HIV/AIDS infection lowers the immune response.

  • I feel it would also be good to include all those over 15 years of age who have HIV or AIDS in the bolded list of health conditions and disabilities.

SEX WORKERS, PORN INDUSTRY WORKERS, AND CLIENTS OF SEX WORKERS

I see this list of Phase 1b occupations now eligible for COVID-19 vaccination in Los Angeles County …

  • Education and Childcare
  • Emergency Services
  • Food and Agriculture
  • People with Serious Health Conditions/Disabilities
  • People Who Live or Work in Congregate Living Spaces
  • Janitorial, Custodial, and Maintenance Services
  • Transportation and Logistics

It seems to me that since sex workers’ income depends on coming into close physical contact with clients, it is likely that sex work might be a nexus for COVID-19 transmission.

I read online that making pornographic films is legal in California (and also in New Hampshire). It seems to me likely that this is among the occupations that could be bulleted in the above list of eligible occupations. Possibly it might fall under the category “People Who Live or Work in Congregate Living Spaces,” but it seems to me documentation might be lacking because of concern for social opprobrium, especially for those engaged in that industry as a sideline to more mainstream occupations.

Thus I feel it would be good to include sex workers and porn industry workers in the list of high risk occupations.

It might also be good if the health news websites were to publish the health measures they feel would help prevent infection for regular clients of sex workers.

In love, light and joy,
I Am of the Stars

Dear Ones,

PHYSICAL AND SEXUAL ABUSE OF CHILDREN DOMESTICALLY DURING THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC

Last month the major United States news agencies came out with articles on the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department shutting down four major crime units as a result of the Defund the Police movement …

Link: “The County Continues to Defund Law Enforcement,” by Sheriff Alex Villanueva, 1 October 2020 … https://lasd.org/county-continues-to-defund-law-enforcement/ ..

One of the units to be shut down has to do with sexual abuse, including sexual and physical abuse of children. I gather that the COVID-19 pandemic may have something to do with this, as, from a pragmatic point of view, COVID restrictions prevent child abusers from seeking sexual relief amongst the children of families other than their own.

Rather, I feel it must be true that the ‘safer at home’ regulation may have caused an increase of sexual and physical abuse of children within the home. It must be that the function of society with regard to domestic violence is less one of criminal trial and more one of counseling, the intent being to keep the family together. Thus it may be difficult for law enforcement to take a firm line with regard to physical and sexual abuse of children while the children are ‘safe at home’ during the COVID-19 pandemic.

TAKEN TOGETHER, COVID-19 AND AIDS ARE RESULTING IN INCREASED MORTALITY FOR BOTH ADULTS AND CHILDREN

The COVID-19 pandemic is resulting in mortality mainly amongst adults, especially seniors and those with serious medical conditions. It seems that young children are much less likely to die of COVID.

On the other hand, the concomitant AIDS epidemic results in greater mortality amongst the young. Adults with AIDS who are on Western medications are said to be able to live till their 70s, albeit they are unlikely to parent children who are born AIDS-free.

It seems to me that the gravity of the AIDS infected parent’s immune system impairment may be making it more difficult for them to survive AIDS infection. In addition, I feel it may be life-threatening for AIDS infected mothers to bear children to term. Thus the situation of preserving the life of AIDS infected parents is of concern.

HOW IS A LIGHTWORKER TO HOLD THE TRIBULATIONS THAT MANIFEST ON EARTH?

We Lightworkers are very opposed to savage treatment of children. We believe in human rights, and in human kindness, one to another. We feel that to walk in Christ’s footsteps is to bring the Light of Christ Consciousness to our planet, and that this spiritual practice will help uplift our Earth.

Yet so many people here on Earth are enmired in Darkness, in the very social ills that the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department until now has helped to prevent, it can be a challenge to maintain a positive outlook despite the way things appear to be, from a 3D and 4D perspective.

In addition, as a Lightworker and a medical editor, I have found it a challenge to reconcile my understanding of the grave effects of these two pandemics with my understanding of Christ’s consciousness and the Ascension process here on Earth.

This is, I feel, on the one hand a time of Great Tribulation. On the other hand, we may envision this time as the Second Coming, and of the upliftment of the world to New Life on New Earth. Yet how may we hold these great sorrows visited upon humankind … these two pandemics, the one laying low, as it does, the sick and the elderly; and the other laying low our hope of tomorrow, the cherished children of our bosom?

HOW THE AIDS PANDEMIC MAY AFFECT SOCIAL VALUES ON NEW EARTH

It came to me this evening that the AIDS pandemic may be held by those of faith in a way quite different from the norm. In a certain Light, it may be discerned to be a gift from God to humankind, which will select for the survival of the New Human on New Earth. The New Humans, I feel, will respect their children and never sexually molest them. There will be no child trafficking. Young people will be chaste, and likely remain faithful to one partner, selected at puberty, for life.

Many of the social issues currently plaguing humankind will vanish from Earth because those who practice sexual molestation of or incest with their children will see the death of their children before child-bearing age. Thus their family lines will end, and the family lines that remain will be those that sexually respect their children.

As children become more scarce, parents will most likely be keeping a careful eye on their children … even more so than they do today … to prevent their children from being snatched up by child traffickers, in whose hands they will surely die of AIDS before childbearing age.

For post-pubertic youth with multiple sexual partners there will be a great number of schools with 100% AIDS children. As I understand it, AIDS is a disease so serious that it poses too great a risk for a woman to have a child. That the child would most likely have AIDS at birth, and then only live a few years, or at most only till just before puberty, means that teens with AIDS will not have children.

The same would apply to young women and men with AIDS and who are sex workers.

That is why I feel the New Human will have cultural values of respect for their children, strict prevention of child trafficking, chastity in teens, absence of sex work, and fidelity to one lifelong spouse. It is the childbearing ability and family lines of those who have different cultural values will be cut off, and their genes eliminated from the human gene pool.

AIDS AND AND CHANGING SOCIAL VALUES IN GEOGRAPHICALLY ISOLATED CULTURES AROUND THE GLOBE

I feel there will be geographically isolated cultures that may continue these social practices for some while because AIDS infection does not reach those areas. After the time lag caused by their geographical isolation, in a matter of a generation or so, the chance HIV infection will occur, and the more isolated regions will, I feel, begin to undergo the process of social value change outlined above.

That would be, in a way, similar to the course of COVID-19 infection in the United States, where we saw much more incidence in large urban areas nationwide, and what seemed to be the less populated states in the north central part of the United States were spared severe infection till the winter of 2020. But with AIDS, I feel, for very isolated cultures, the time lag might be as much as 20 or 25 years.

INVASIVE WESTERN MEDICAL PRACTICES MAY FALL OUT OF FAVOR AS PATIENTS SEEK TO AVOID INFECTION BY AIDS-BEARING SURGEONS

As well, I feel that there will be a turning away from invasive Western medical practices, to holistic and alternative medicine as a means to prevent transmission of AIDS from doctor to patient.

As more and more Western medical practitioners are infected with AIDS, I feel it likely patients will intuitively begin to avoid potential blood mingling Western medical practices such as inoculation by needle and surgery, as the possibility of their getting AIDS from the Western medical practitioners will begin to be perceived. Thus I feel it possible that, for the next 100 years, much progress will be made in noninvasive, holistic, alternative medical applications as alternatives to invasive Western medical practices.

THE OUTLOOK FOR AIDS RESILIENCE BY THE YEAR 2120

I hope that, in the long run, humankind may become more able to be healthy, sexually reproductive, and long-lived despite infection with AIDS. That may take perhaps a century, I feel.

In the meantime, as noted above, there may be a global shift to more compassionate and heart-centered sexual practices, and less invasive medical practices, in the interests of survival of family groups during the four or five childbearing generations that must likely take place before humankind adapts to AIDS as a virus easily tolerated by those of us in good health.

LIGHTWORKERS AND HEALERS CAN HOLD THE AIDS PANDEMIC IN A NEW LIGHT OF COMPASSION AND FAITH

We have before us a Soul learning experience of unprecedented magnitude. For those that are teachers of humankind, let us embrace this experience wholeheartedly. Let us offer solace as we may to those who are suffering, but stand in our own neutral, healing Light, knowing that, despite the suffering all around us, in a deeper sense, all is well.

God is love, is He not? How can it be that He offers us aught but what will uplift and inspire us, were we to see the passing show with His eyes, feel it with His heart, and know it with His wisdom?

For the Lightworker, for instance, this is a wonderful opportunity to rise beyond the aggressor-victim paradigm so oft enacted in 3D and 4D, and to begin to welcome the thought that God does all … even that which we perceive as Tribulation … for the benefit of our own Soul Wisdom.

When we feel dismay, let us say with confidence to ourselves: I will let God take care of everything! God will take care of everything!

In love, light and joy,
I Am of the Stars

Richmond Attacker . a drawing by Alice B. Clagett

Imaged and published on 23 October 2020

Dear Ones,

Here is a drawing I made of a man in a nightmare I had on a Sunday afternoon a few weeks ago. I have described the nightmare in the caption.

Later I thought I must have seen a full-head Halloween mask, maybe even one on a man of another race … maybe even a Caucasian of similar build and with, say, very similar Soul wounding. I have not had found such a full-head Halloween mask for sale online yet; have not had time to take a look.

If such an event had actually occurred, I could see where a full-head mask might be very misleading.

In addition, in the vision, the white ‘slaver’ looked put-on, like a paste of confectioner’s sugar powder with a little water added, for instance …

Image: “Richmond Attacker, Sunday, 11 October 2020,” by Alice B. Clagett, 23 October 2020, CC BY-SA 4.0 … DESCRIPTION: I am not completely sure I got the date right. I know it was on a Sunday afternoon, most likely 11 October 2020, that I had this nightmare. A man approached from behind a woman walking on a street in Richmond, Virginia. Moving quickly, he stuck a poisoned prison ‘shiv’ into the outside of her right upper arm. She looked at her arm and saw a piece of metal stuck into it. She could only see the outside of the metal; that was circular and looked about as big as the end of a bullet about 9/16 inch in diameter; there was no marking on it. The end of the weapon pressed the skin around it in a little; there was just a tiny circlet of dark blood outlining the edge of the weapon where it pierced the skin. I intuited that the weapon was thin and hand-shaped, tapering to a very sharp point inside the arm. The woman said: “Oh, look what M— D— did,” and tried to get the weapon out. She said: “I can’t get it out.” Then she fell down face up at the edge of a median curb in the street. Another woman walked quickly up and exclaimed: “I told you to wait right there till I came back. What have you done?” and leaned down to try to help her. The injured woman struggled to breathe; her breaths came faintly. On the psychic plane I said: “Make sure her chin is up to clear the airway.” The second woman did that, then said: “Now it is better.” Then she used her cell phone to dial 9-1-1. When she dialed that number I had the vision of the attacker, which I attempted to portray in this image. There was thick white ‘slaver’ coming out of his mouth. The ‘slaver’ obscured his lower lip. His skin was black; blue-black beneath the eyes, which looked oriental. His face was expressionless.

Don’t Be Roast ‘Pigeon’ for a Crime Gang!

Dear Ones,

Here is a law enforcement ‘what if’ for grassroots neighborhood watch nationwide, and also for law enforcement in our towns and cities …

Let’s say a crime gang … such as one of the United States ‘mobs’ or mafias, or a street gang, or an outlaw gang, or a flimflam group of confidence men … were to be in the habit of cultivating patsies (fat ‘pigeons’ they could pluck).

You may have heard of ‘keeping double books’? This next move is a little like that, but instead they might keep ‘double organizations’.

Here would be the move: They might put up a socially suave ‘yuppie’ front, named ‘such-and-such’. This would be a respect-worthy non-profit organization, a 501(c), and lure the mark into the front organization.

At the same time they might put up a ‘back’ corporation by the same name. The advantage of the ‘back’ corporation might be that it would be harder to track who has the money. For instance, the members of the ‘back’ organization, might be corporate entities rather than people, and so the ‘back’ corporation might represent a tax ‘maze’ for the IRS. Thus it might be a money laundering vehicle, I feel. The idea might be to grab some of the mark’s money as a ‘donation’ to a nonprofit, then launder it through the ‘shell’ corporations which operate a little like the famous flimflam ‘shell games’. That way they might avoid taxation by the IRS.

Then the crime gang spends time gaining the confidence of their ‘pigeon’.

Let’s say the gang has a favored ‘take-down’, that has been working like clockwork for years. For instance, they might have on tap …

  • a consigliere (a mob lawyer),
  • a medical doctor, a medical therapist ‘angel of death’, a psychiatrist and a psychologist,
  • and a law enforcement officer,
  • all working under a mob boss posing as or having ‘under his finger’ a financial advisor.

The MO might be to first to capture the pigeon’s finances through the financial adviser, then misdiagnose the pigeon with a terminal physical illness or a mental illness, then when the pigeon is in a health care facility, to send in the medical therapist ‘angel of death’ for the kill.

Put yourself in the shoes of the ‘pigeon’: A take-down has just been attempted. By God’s grace (and His alone) you have escaped unscathed. The mob has your number, and they know you know their game.

What will they do, you wonder? They will pursue you and kill you, so as to prevent knowledge of their crime gang and their MO from leaking out to law enforcement and the AARP Bulletin’s crime prevention column. They will do what it takes to silence you for good.

Recognizing the deck is stacked and the odds are not in your favor, you the ‘pigeon’ make a run for it back to your home town.

But they know where you live! Through their carefully picked false authorities, and through weight of numbers and collusionary agreement amongst themselves, they present a fraudulent report to your local law enforcement agency to the effect that you have committed the very crimes that are the bread-and-butter of their own crime gang.

An example might be like this: The mob consigliere or his local law enforcement ‘bird in the hand’ tips your local law enforcement precinct that you are a drug trafficker with a drug habit and a street walker.

So your local law enforcement, at considerable expense, stakes out your home to discern your activities. Weeks go by. Your own precinct figures it must have gotten a false lead, and puts a mental question mark by the name of the consigliere or sheriff who provided the false lead.

But they still have a question mark by your own name. So when you go down to your precinct to explain about the crime gang, and offer what you can in the way of names and photos, they decline to accept what you have to offer.

Let’s say your precinct suggests you the ‘pigeon’ go to the FBI. That would make sense for a multi-state crime gang. Our local law enforcement agencies, I feel, are set up to preserve law and order in our local communities, not fight crime nationwide.

I note that the FBI has an online form to report crime tips. Let’s say you go online and make a lengthy report about the crime family … names and addresses, photos, whatever you may have.

Weeks go by. You begin to wonder … Maybe the FBI is swamped with crime reports. Maybe they are understaffed, and can only work on the most ‘in your face’ instances of crime nationwide. Or maybe they just do not believe you. Let’s say … whatever the cause … you the ‘pigeon on the run’ do not hear back from the FBI. And you notice there is no way to contact them personally about it, what with COVID and all.

The crime gang is still hot on the tail of you, their mark who escaped the take-down. You have exhausted the usual crime prevention resources. What to do?

To preserve one’s own life is, I feel, a noteworthy accomplishment when the odds are this stacked. Here is my suggestion: Why not ‘Yelp’ what you have? Put it online, send copies to family, friends, and your Neighborhood Watch, and to any interested lawyers, free of charge. Make sure the crime family knows you have broadcast this information.

The more people who know what you know, the less important it will be to the crime family to end your life.

It seems to me possible that the low-down on crime gangs nationwide is at hand, and just under our noses. We the people of the United States can help mitigate the damage done by crime gangs in America.

Even if our local law enforcement’s hands are tied, even if the FBI does not respond to our plea, we can act on our own behalf, and for the sake of crime prevention in our local communities.

The means at hand, I feel, is grassroots communication. After all, knowledge is power. The pen is mightier than the sword. Let us take up our handhelds and provide that knowledge of the nefarious endeavors of crime mobs to everyone with an ear to hear it.

God bless each of you with courage to soldier on in these stressful times. May we stand together, in communities large and small, against crime and for peaceful, prosperous endeavor.

In love, light and joy,
I Am of the Stars

Dear Ones,

I wrote up these notes in April 2018, with a hope that I would soon finish them off. More than a year later, I have to figure I may never get round to that. I apologize to my reader that they are presented here in outline form …

THOUGHTS ON PROVIDING STAGE ONE WORK FOR THE CALIFORNIA HOMELESS AT LESS THAN MINIMUM WAGE, IN EXCHANGE FOR SOCIAL SERVICES

I have a thought that Stage One work might be provided the California homeless at less than minimum wage, in exchange for social services such as State One housing, necessary medical treatment, food, and temporary housing.

I note we have precedents in paying less than the minimum wage, here in America: Commission sales work, work on small farms, and newspaper delivery, for instance …

Link: “When Must Employers Pay the Minimum Wage?, updated by Sachi Barreiro, Attorney, at NOLO … https://www.nolo.com/legal-encyclopedia/employers-pay-minimum-wage-law-29600.html ..

Prison Work Programs for Less Than a Dollar an Hour

Then there is the special instance of prison labor, where inmates have the voluntary option to work, for less than $1 an hour …

Link: “How Much Do Incarcerated People Earn in Each State?” by Wendy Sawyer, 10 April 2017, in Prison Policy Initiative … https://www.prisonpolicy.org/blog/2017/04/10/wages/ ..

Thus we have a precedent, in the exceptional circumstance of incarceration, for offering work at a great deal less than the minimum wage. Could we build upon this precedent by offering work training to our felons or released felons or homeless, at far less than minimum wage?

If the precedent might be stretched in this way, then we might have the setting for an economic bounce-back, here in California, as greater numbers of the currently unemployed are able to find employment.

Prison Release Work Camps. I am thinking that something like this might be good if, for lack of funds, we have to release the prison population. For those who are ‘unregenerate’ … to use an old-time term … work camps might be set up or ‘rough and tumble’ work might be provided as an alternative to imprisonment, at greatly less than the minimum wage. This topic I discussed in a little more detail here …

Link: “Ought the United States, like North Korea, Have Forced Labor?” by Alice B. Clagett, published on 21 May 2019 … https://wp.me/p2Rkym-cQw ..

A Stage One Consideration in Employing California’s Homeless at Less Than the Minimum Wage

Here is a Stage One consideration: Let’s try to figure out some way to get around the minimum wage, for people who are unhomed, and who are receiving extra social services, in the event the United States government is not able to participate, here in California, in ameliorating the situation, and easing the social unrest.

For instance, could we offer something more akin to prison labor … voluntary labor, and a very small wage, in exchange for housing and food and medical care? Could we offer that, in camps especially set up for that?

What would be the long-term situation with regard to those that California cannot now find work for at minimum wage, and who must find work? If employment at less than minimum wage in exchange for social services were to be offered as a temporary, short-term Phase One, then what would be Phases Two and Three?

THOUGHTS ON SLOWING THE SPREAD OF HIV AND AIDS IN PRISONS

On Isolating HIV-Positive Prison Populations in Cell Blocks, Together with HIV-Positive Prison Guards

In United States prisons, HIV tests might be used to separate the HIV-positive prison populations … and the HIV-positive prison guards … physically, from those prisoners and guards who are HIV-negative. These tests need to be performed every 6 months, as I understand it, and also one month after possible exposure to the virus. HIV tests might be made routine in prison medical facilities, not only for the safety of prisoners and guards, but also for the sake of the infectable law-abiding populations upon whom prisoners might prey, either as prostitutes or as sexual predators, after their release.

Conjugal Visits

I think that, to prevent the spread of HIV and AIDS amongst United States prison populations, we ought to consider allowing conjugal or significant other visits in our federal prisons, and in those state prisons that currently do not do so.

Conjugal visits might lead to less intercourse amongst inmates, and less intercourse between inmates and prison guards, so that HIV might spread more slowly amongst the prison population. I feel that conjugal visits might also lead to less violence amongst prisoners.

Such a policy also might help prisoners who have been in long-time-paired relationships to preserve those relationships while imprisoned. It might help families stay together through the financial hardship of imprisonment of a parent, and that might positively affect community life.

HUMAN TRAFFICKING OF IMMIGRANTS TO THE UNITED STATES, COMPARED TO THAT IN CHINA

I have been perusing the “CIA World Factbook” online …

Link: “World Factbook,” by the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) … https://www.cia.gov/library/publications/the-world-factbook/ ..

… and have found it full of information pertinent to forestalling social unrest in California. For instance, from my reading, it seems to me that the human trafficking of immigrants to China from North Korea in our lifetime is, in some ways, analogous to the human trafficking of immigrants to the United States from Mexico.

How China Deals with an Influx of Minimally Employable People from North Korea

Apparently, there are masses of people in North Korea, whom the government forces into forced labor in China …

“… North Korea does not fully comply with minimum standards for the elimination of [human] trafficking and is not making significant efforts to do so; the government continued to participate in human trafficking through its use of domestic forced labor camps and the provision of forced labor to foreign governments through bilateral contracts; officials did not demonstrate any efforts to address human trafficking through prosecution, protection, or prevention measures; no known investigations, prosecutions, or convictions of trafficking offenders or officials complicit in trafficking-related offenses were conducted; the government also made no efforts to identify or protect trafficking victims and did not permit NGOs to assist victims (2015) …” –from Link: “CIA World Factbook, North Korea,” in the section: Transnational Issues … Subheading: Trafficking in personshttps://www.cia.gov/library/publications/resources/the-world-factbook/geos/kn.html … public domain

Korean people also may flee to China of their own free will so as to escape starvation …

“… risking arrest, imprisonment, and deportation, tens of thousands of North Koreans cross into China to escape famine, economic privation, and political oppression … –from Link: “CIA World Factbook, North Korea,” in the section: Transnational Issues … subheading: Disputes – International https://www.cia.gov/library/publications/resources/the-world-factbook/geos/kn.html … public domain

Those types of labor available to trafficked peoples sometimes may be beneath the level of misery that is acceptable here in the United States …

Link: “Trafficking in Persons Report June 2017,” by United States of America Department of State … https://www.hsdl.org/?view&did=801874This is a pdf download.

It might be prostitution. It might be illegal activities such as theft. It might be begging. They might be held by gangs that are ‘beneath the law’ and forced to be members of those gangs. This, to me, is unacceptable.

How the United States Deals with an Influx of Minimally Employable People from Mexico

The situation with immigrants from North Korean to China is analogous, in some regards, to the situation with immigrants from Mexico to the United States. Immigrants from Mexico are not forced by the United States government into inhumane kinds of labor, but they may find themselves in those kinds of situations … living In dug-out caves in the Earth, for instance. And doing seasonal, migrant labor. Or young women or children may find themselves forced into lives of prostitution by pimps.

One thing we might look at, going forward, is how job training might be offered new immigrants, here in the United States, so as to broaden the scope of job opportunities for which they are eligible. This type of job training is doubly beneficial: It helps raise the living standard of immigrants; and it helps lessen the spiritual burden of human trafficking in the United States and uplift our nation through good works in our community.

The philanthropy we offer those caught in the throes of human trafficking is a kindness we offer our children as well, for they will look forward to a better educated community through whose informed choices may be sculpted a brighter tomorrow for all America.

CONCLUSION

In conclusion, I feel that Los Angeles in particular, due to such stressors as homelessness and released felons, faces the spectre of social unrest at present. What to do? I feel we must look at what other countries do when faced with these stressors. We must not turn away from innovative solutions simply because we feel they are beneath us, as Americans.

I feel it is because we feel this: that the lesser good we are able to provide the homeless and released felons is beneath us, and unworthy of them, that we have found ourselves for ten years to be in stalemate as a city.

We are unable to provide the level of benefits and care that has been, with hopeful optimism, voted into California law. Massive problems lie before us, and have done so for 10 years now. California is a Sanctuary State for those fleeing from downright extermination in the crueler states of our great Union.

Though we are that to many, we have not the funds to help those seeking sanctuary in the manner afforded the homeless, the helpless, those seeking shelter, food, and work in days of old.

Here in Los Angeles we must make bold to provide what we may to those who have nothing at all. Though it be against the laws of our nation, and against those of our State, we must do what we can. We must offer what we may. We must open our hearts, still our doubts, and come up with sensible, novel solutions to the new problems that lie before us.

I Am of the Stars

Dear Ones,

Here is a poem for you, about a tragic story part 3D and part 4D, that unfolded in Durango, Colorado, four years ago. Sometimes there is no way to redress the wrongs of the world except through story-telling, poetry, art, or song …

“The Gatorade Kid”
A Poem by Alice B. Clagett
25 October 2019
Soundtrack and Words

There was a kid
who lived outside
He lived right behind
The Iron Horse Inn

When the snows came
He would beg those within
for a chance to stay warm
from dusk to dawn.

The rent he paid was
a goofy grin
and if they required it –
a night’s love-in

One day I heard
a car drive by
I heard, offhand:
Would you like a ride?

and the kid said: Sure!

They stopped just offroad
in an evergreen aisle.
The man at the wheel
said with a smile:

Kid, wanna go the mile?
I can make it worth your while!

and the kid said: Sure!

Then I saw the boy’s face
contorted in pain
Oh! Why does it feel so strange?

He fell down bleeding by a back tire
On the ground down snow
‘Twixt the car and the lane

Two men guffawed
and drove away

The next day I walked out
my motel door
hoping to see
the boy’s face once more

I saw his Gatorade lying there
in a snowdrift
by a new guest’s door

It was tipped sideways.
It was half full –
the liquid bright blue
on the shoveled snow

Next day I walked out
with a flutter of hope
like a blue bird tangled
up in my heart

I saw the Gatorade
sunk in the snow
and my heart checked out
of the Iron Horse Inn.

. . . . .

In love, light and joy,
I Am of the Stars

Dear Ones, Here are a soundtrack and Summary to do with the issue of violence against transgender and crossdressing sex workers …

SOUNDTRACK BY ALICE B. CLAGETT

SUMMARY OF THE SOUNDTRACK

Hello, Dear Ones, It’s Alice. I Am of the Stars.

I have been trying, for a long time, to get to the bottom of this issue of violence against transgender people and crossdressing people. I came across something today, just very briefly, about that. I think that the issue that involves danger and violence against transgender and crossdressing men has to do with sexual preference.

There is a big movement, in the world today, to allow people to have their own choice in sex partners. Kind of a feeling of: I love this person … or … I love that person … or … I prefer this or that type of person. And I think that is a very healthy and good movement: That people should be able to choose what they want in a sex partner.

However … and this is just a guess … It could be that this issue of violence against transgender and crossdressing men has to do with sex work. It could be that men who pay sex workers that they think are women because of transgender changes or crossdressing changes, and then find, at the last moment, that they are relating to someone who is not their own sexual preference, become very angry … especially if they are drunk. And then violence occurs.

So in the one case, if this is true, in the one case there is the issue … which I support … of choosing your own sexual preference, whether it be …

  • the traditional male-female relationship,
  • or what they call male-to-male or M2M,
  • or F2F … female-to-female,
  • or a love triangle involving three people,
  • or polygamy, having more than one husband or wife,
  • or polyamory, romantically loving more than one person at a time,

Whatever your preference is, then if you feel  joy in your heart, through it, then that is fine.

But if one person tries to trick another person into not fulfilling their preference with regard to sexual relationships, then that is not good.

  • One case is: Seeking out and finding your joy in sexuality and sexual fulfillment.
  • And the other is: Tricking a person into not getting that joy.

That is my thought on that for today.

In love, light and joy,
I Am of the Stars
