Dear Ones,

NATURE SPIRITS: BROWNIES, GNOMES, ELVES AND FAIRIES

In recent months I have been a little more in contact with the nature spirits I call brownies, gnomes, elves, and faeries, and have learned a little more about brownies and gnomes in particular.

After channeling about these tiny, winsome beings in recent days …

Link: “Brownies and Gnomes: The Series,” channeled by Alice B. Clagett, filmed mostly on 2 August 2019; published on 11 and 12 August 2019 … https://wp.me/p2Rkym-dWM ..

… I went back to unpublished work from this spring, and found videos taken ‘by mistake’ … somehow the camcorder started running while I was walking, it seems … and some of these chanced-upon videos had images in them relating to the world of brownies and elves.

THE ENERGY OF BROWNIES

In my channeling, Brownies have to do with digestion … whether digestion of food inside animal intestines; digestion of fallen leaves and sticks into the detritus and the richly fertile humus of a forest floor; or digestion of detritus that falls on the floors of Earth’s oceans, seas, lakes, rivers, and streams.

ANIMALS THAT BROWNIES BEFRIEND

I feel the brownies must befriend detritivorous animals, so I looked this topic up in Wikipedia, and found: “Typical detritivorous animals include millipedes, springtails, woodlice, dung flies, slugs, many terrestrial worms, sea stars, sea cucumbers, fiddler crabs, and some sedentary polychaetes such as worms of the family Terebellidae).

“Scavengers are not typically thought to be detritivores, as they generally eat large quantities of organic matter, but both detritivores and scavengers are the same type of cases of consumer-resource systems.” –from Link: “Detrivore,” in Wikipedia … https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Detritivore ..

From the above list, two sorts of detrivores that are very prevalent on Earth are earthworms and also springtails, which are cryptozoa that consume microbes as well as detritus. These two … earthworms and springtails … must be very well known to brownies; in fact I surmise that brownies oversee and catalyze their digestive work in the topsoils of Earth.

Most cryptozoa are little known to humans, and springtails are no exception. Wikipedia has this to say about springtails: “In sheer numbers, they are reputed to be one of the most abundant of all macroscopic animals, with estimates of 100,000 individuals per square meter of ground,  essentially everywhere on Earth where soil and related habitats (moss cushions, fallen wood, grass tufts, ant and termite nests) occur.” –from Link: “Cryptozoa,” in Wikipedia … https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cryptozoa ..

I took a look at the Wikipedia description of cryptozoa: “Cryptozoa is the collective name for small animals who live in darkness and under conditions of high relative humidity, as in the wet soil underneath rocks, decomposing tree bark etc. Examples include pseudoscorpions, … centipedes and earwigs.” –from Link: “Cryptozoa,” in Wikipedia … https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cryptozoa ..

While pseudoscorpions, centipedes and earwigs are predatory rather than detrivorous, their location in forest litter places them within the energy field of brownies.

Brownies also oversee the work of saprophytes, which continue the act of digesting forest litter after the work of detrivores is done, further breaking it down to humus. Well known saprophytes that are befriended by the brownies are bacteria and fungi. –from Link: “Decomposition,” by Terry Watkins … https://science.jrank.org/pages/1967/Decomposition.html ..

COLORS THAT BROWNIES LIKE

Brownies like dun colors, shades of brown, and darkish colors of blue and purple. In fact, it seems, they like the colors of the detrivores and the saprophytes they work with, and of the other cryptozoa and scavengers they often encounter. Also, they like the colors of detritus, whether on land or in the water, and they like the colors of humus.

NATURE SPIRITS PHOTO SERIES: BROWNIE ENERGY

Here is the first of two Brownie photo series: Brownie Energy. The second, which will appear in a subsequent blog, is Brownie Workplaces …

Crawdad City, Colorado . by Alice B. Clagett

Dear Ones,

Stalking crawdads in Colorado … An edited Summary follows the video …

VIDEO BY ALICE

SUMMARY OF THE VIDEO

Hello, Dear Ones, It’s Alice.

I am stalking crawdads today … see, there is one … [shows crawdad slipping from rocks into water] …

Oh, there he goes! [shows other crawdads in water] … Look at! Can you see them? Stick around … [shows another crawdad] … They do not like sounds. Look at that! [crawdads are edging backwards off rocks into water] … Oh, they are all going down. [One is left on a rock.] Hello, dude! Hello, hello, how are you? Yeah, they do not like me much.

[Shows hummingbird moth hovering over the water and gently touching it with its lower abdomen.] What is that, a hummingbird moth? Is it drinking the water? …

[Searches around, finds three crawdads; one is larger.] Oh, look at that one! He is hiding in the water. [Shows another crawdad nearby.] There is one. And look, they are thinking of fighting, I think …

There are four there; one is hiding … No, no fight. [pans around] …

Look at that [shows more crawdads]; there is one hiding, one not hiding. This place is incredible; it is Crawdad Condo City. Well…

What happened is that this is an irrigation conduit here. [Zooms back, to show the mostly dry irrigation conduit.] See?

Sometimes it has water in it, and sometimes [like now] it does not. But on the deep spots, there are these pools, and when the conduit dries up, all the crawdads hang out together in the pools.

That is it, from Crawdad City.
