Dear Ones,

Here is a poem in three parts that was inspired by walks in the Santa Monica Mountains …

JOY SPRINGS FORTH:
A POEM IN THREE PARTS
by Alice B. Clagett
About the Santa Monica Mountains
18 December 2004

Springtime in the mountains,
. . . . and my heart
. . . . charts a fragrant course
. . . . through Ceanothus seas.

The afternoon sun
. . . . sings soft green dreams,
. . . . and mountain slumbers.

Grey ghost
. . . . of yesterday’s white fire,
. . . . yucca exclaims upon the mountain
. . . . “I am I!”

. . . . .

In love, light and joy
I Am of the Stars

“Tom o’ the Forest”
A Poem by Alice B. Clagett
Soundtrack and Words
4 January 2018

Ah, Tom! Tom o’ the Forest!
Would that I had been there
with you, my own dear love,
as our child grew in strength
. . . and beauty

Would, if I could,
. . . have stopped the flow
. . . . . . of my life blood
. . . . . . . . . such loss
. . . . . . . . . such pallor
. . . . . . . . . . . . out onto the brown leaves
. . . . . . . . . . . . by the woodland pool
. . . . . . . . . . . . where we once bathed

Dearest my love
Such a long and weary while
. . . Stood I by your own side,
. . . . . . sighing

The blade that longing
. . . lent your throat
. . . . . . sliced mine
. . . . . . . . . as well

Tom of my life
Tom of my seried lives’ yearning
Blest be the day
when our twained paths
once more marry

. . . . .

In love, light and joy,
I Am of the Stars

Every day, in the late afternoon
even in the winter
in Southern California

It’s just like this

The red gold of the setting sun
Striking fire
to the sandstone cliffs

like a golden lute meeting
the deft hands
of an angel

Leave all your worries / far behind
Blessed by your mother / dear and kind.
Wake to her bright heart / don’t be blue
Wake to her light heart / loving you.

As you go / about your day
Hearts come and hearts go / it’s all ok.
Om om om om / Om om om
Om om om om / Om om om.

As you close your / sleepy eyes
Divine Ma is / by your side.
Divine Mother / Divine Ma,
Divine Mother / Divine Ma.

“Ganderland”
A Poem by Alice B. Clagett
On the way to Lake Isabella, California
27 June 2003

Sometimes I feel like a DC-3,
intent upon a trans-Atlantic flight,
touched down, most disconcertingly,
on wind-swept Ganderland
to have its engine tweaked

Only to find
wild poppies
dancing in a sea of green,
wafting their scent
across these idle wings.

“How to Handle a 9 to 5”
A Prose Poem by Alice B. Clagett
2015

For a bus driver, the journey
is where it’s at.
For the rest of us, the journey
is an inconvenient hiccup
on the way to work.

It depends on the driver, too,
how they hold the trip.
Some will barrel pell-mell
past a frantically waving would-be rider.
Others call out the names of the streets
like they’re playing a part
in the biggest movie of all time.

Dear Ones,

I went for a drive from Los Angeles to Grass Valley in the spring of 2001, and on the way home, this poem was born. It is about true love … not the kind we read about in novels, but the love from which we sprang, and to which each of us longs to return.

Here is the spoken poem. There is a Summary after the video …

SUMMARY OF THE VIDEO

Hello, Dear Ones, It’s Alice.

This is the last in my current series of poems that I wrote myself a while back. This one is called “Song for a Summer Day.” I wrote it on the drive from Los Angeles to Grass Valley, in California. It was a beautiful drive.

“Song for a Summer Day”
A Poem by Alice B. Clagett
Soundtrack and Words
May 2001

These sun-drenched California hills
. . . . knead me like dough,
. . . . bake me in the noonday sun,
. . . . and eat me for lunch.

Not a bad way to go …

I’d like to live on a road
. . . . with a sign at the entrance:
. . . . NO THROUGH STREET.

Let it have rolling hills
. . . . live oaks marking a fence line
. . . . horses grazing the wild oats
. . . . . . . . riding the backs of the meadows
. . . . . . . . tawnily
. . . . . . . . like a lion’s sleek fur

Let it have bird call
. . . . and response
. . . . . . . . cricket chirp
. . . . and a cricket answering
. . . . . . . . heart song
. . . . as the wind loves to touch
. . . . the leaves of the oak tree
. . . . . . . . love’s song
. . . . like the brook that whispers to the passing shore:
. . . . “Drink, drink! Freely I give to thee.”

Love does not forget the other,
. . . . the different one, loved for its difference
. . . . the dry one, loved for a chance to bring it water
. . . . the green one, loved for its greenness
. . . . the formless one, loved for its touch alone
. . . . and all those who long for another,
. . . . . . . . loved for their longing

Love is, and what is not
. . . . are this tree,
. . . . this golden field,
. . . . the rolling warble of a summer day
. . . . . . . . in California

The length and breadth and depth of life
. . . . are not here,
. . . . but hidden away, like a summer day
. . . . . . . . on a forgotten country road
. . . . nourished by a stream that never runs dry,
. . . . . . . . not even in summer.

SUMMARY OF THE VIDEO

Hello, Dear Ones, It’s Alice.

It is getting on towards fall, is it not? … And it is also getting on towards sunset right now. Today I thought I would read you a poem of my own. It is called “That One.” It is a poem about the mystical experience. The first part of it is an explanation. It says: This poem is about love at first sight. Here goes …

“That One: A Poem on Walking with God”
by Alice B. Clagett
Soundtrack and Words
1981

That One Who, ages past, lit these stars
. . . in a dark sky

And Who, in time to come,
. . . shall snuff them out again

Who moved those mountains there
. . . up from the cold earth

And stirs, like blue light, across the faces
. . . of the holy congregation

Who shines in sunlight on the morning grass

Whispers to cicadas on the breeze

Runs with the horses in the field

And Who, Vast as He is, and Wonderful,
. . . flows, like a river,
. . . . . . through this warp of time and space

That One
. . . dwells in my heart,
. . . speaks to my soul with every breath I breathe

Day’s light, walks by my side …

Night’s guide, enfolds me.

SUMMARY OF THE VIDEO

Some years ago I wrote a rollicking love song. I thought I would read that for you today. The subtitle is “Why Bother to Say ‘I Love You’?”

“Love’s a Wet Ride: Why Bother to Say ‘I Love You’?”
A Poem by Alice B. Clagett
Soundtrack and Words
October 2001

Love’s a wet ride on a stormy day
And no matter what, it will have its way,
And it’s “Whoa, that chick is outta sight,”
And it’s “Rock me, momma, on your lap tonight.”

Love’s a rock in this world of woe,
And it’s “Kiss me under the mistletoe!”
Love’s the one, and love’s the many,
Love’s “Don’t knock here — I ain’t got any!”

You might get lucky, but you might lose,
So why risk a run-in with Old Man Blues?
It’s not really such a riddle —
If love’s the tune, then we’re the fiddle.

Love’s the ocean and we’re the sand,
When the tide rolls in, this sand feels grand.
Love’s a wet ride on a stormy day,
And no matter what, it will have its way.

OTHER PEOPLE’S THOUGHTS
A Poem by Alice B. Clagett
4 January 2012

I used to think that other people’s thoughts–
dark thoughts, or sad, thoughts laden with desire,
gyres of the world as it used to be–
had power over me.

But now I think they’re like air, like wind,
which, when it grows too strong, what do I do?
Seek shelter in a quiet place.

FOUR FRIENDS FROM HIGH SCHOOL
A Poem by Alice B. Clagett
2016

This account is entirely fictional.

1.  Her dad owned all
. . .of Northern Virginia
. . .race horses
. . .meadowland
. . .down to the river

. . .His child
. . .first up
. . .teach asked
. . .first term
. . .What
. . .does your father do?

. . .Answers
. . .like ice
. . .like steel
. . .like winter sun
. . .spilled
. . .piled
. . .tumbled
. . .down the hall

. . .On a chill November day
. . .our grey haired
. . .spry eyed headmistress
. . .called us together
. . .and pronounced this
. . .doom:

. . .Our president
. . .was shot and killed today.

. . .I remember
. . .the stunned looks
. . .the sudden tears
. . .her similar
. . .expression

. . .. . . . .

2.  A down-to-earth laugh
. . .a penchant
. . .for science
. . .physical derring-do

. . .In senior year
. . .she planted a wild
. . .vegetable garden
. . .green. So green.
. . .hope filled twining
. . .near the brick building

. . .She married
. . .moved out West

. . .Retired
. . .left him for
. . .her personal trainer
. . .left him for
. . .her husband

. . .Now she’s leading
. . .oldster expeditions
. . .to the high mountains
. . .deep lakes
. . .swift running streams
. . .of that Fiery Land

. . . . . . . .

3.  Her dad owned a chain
. . .of senior care homes in
. . .our nation’s
. . .capital

. . .One day
. . .she didn’t come to class

. . .Whispers
. . .. . .like air
. . .. . .from an open window

. . .Hearts
. . .. . .caught tight
. . .. . .. . .caged
. . .. . .trembling

. . .Might it be me?
. . .Could it happen to me?

. . .Some months later
. . .she reappeared

. . .It wasn’t so bad, she said.
. . .He wasn’t there.
. . .It was quiet.
. . .It was nice.

. . .Then she popped up
. . .in San Francisco
. . .married to
. . .. . .a head monk
. . .two-year-old toting
. . .. . .eyes like blue oceans

. . .Looking deep into
. . .almost beyond you
. . .she’d say with a laugh:
. . .No! I’m no longer crazy.

. . .. . . . .

4.  Her mom
. . .knew how to cook
. . .artichokes

. . .Her dad was mostly
. . .elsewhere
. . .This was the only
. . .elsewhere dad
. . .I’d ever un-encountered

. . .After college
. . .so the story went
. . .she bared her breasts
. . .on film
. . .at Woodstock
. . .then

. . .She joined a cult
. . .that believed sex was evil
. . .changed her name
. . .became the head nun
. . .had her records expunged
. . .at our high school

. . .As it turned out
. . .her dad was prestigious
. . .He could do
. . .that kind of thing
. . .for his beautiful daughter

Tiny Anthologies: Wild West Poems . by Alice B. Clagett *

Published on 4 February 2020

Dear Ones,

Here is a Tiny Anthology of Wild West Poems, in alphabetical order by title. For the poems that have soundtracks, I suggest listening to the recording while reading the words of the poem. That way the flavor of the poem may the better be conveyed …

………………………………….
THE CLINK OF A REPTILE’S TOES        top
A Fanciful Poem by Alice B. Clagett
Soundtrack and Words
11 February 2018

Soundtrack:

There was a fellow in Desperadoville
Who loved to kill for a sexual thrill

A wise guy stopped by who said, “My gosh …
You make your kills with swashbuckling panache!

“I have one request … ‘Cause
These kills make such messes …
Once monthly, finesse this  …

“Then say goodbye
To the townspeople’s sighs,
To their nightmares and cries …
Go and give it a try!”

So he tried this advice,
And at first it seemed nice

But the beat of his heart
Did a Humphrey Bogart
When he practiced that art

And, quick as Jack Robinson,
He ditched that lesson

Day after day, began
Once more rampagin’

One night, drinking liquor,
This hard hitter figured:
“The trouble’s your ticker!

“It’s too fast a racer
I’ll put a pacemaker
Inside it. Then killin’
Won’t be so thrillin’

“Cause when I think ‘hatchets’
My heart just won’t ratchet
Up, due to this gadget.”

So he found a doctor
To make up an order
To purchase the gizmo
To KO his MO

A life of crime
Don’t stop on a dime
It worked for a time

Then the day arrived
When he contrived

A vast panorama …
A homicide drama …

That went off as expected
For he fled, undetected
And savored the deed with espresso

This is far from the norm
He surmised, all forlorn …
My heart didn’t vet the crescendo

He moped for a while
Though it wasn’t his style …

“I’ll have to make hay
In a cold-blooded way,”
He declared: “Easy come, easy go!”

A Poem by Alice B. Clagett
27 November 2019

Would you like some counterfeit?
We have tons and tons of it.

If you say yes, and Fort Knox knocks,
They will have what you have not …
The stuff that dreams are made of.

Who can guess with what duress
The Feds will put you to the test?
Confess! … unless  you’d like a drubbing.

So I say: At the end of the day
It’s better to have what you make,
Than fake … albeit merely pennies.

Then, should the Feds express distress
You can show what you were paid …
And so allay budding dismay
On the part of every party.

I do presume to sing this tune
Of happiness without much stress
By being quite the opposite
Of those who profess to be lawless.

Heartache creeps in
When the heart takes a spin
To the land of the heartachy hard case …

Perhaps not the gallows
Yet prison will swallow
The years of our youth
Amongst the uncouth
Who did not know real bread
From playdough

THE GATORADE KID
        top

A Poem by Alice B. Clagett
Soundtrack and Words
25 October 2019

There was a kid
who lived outside
He lived right behind
The Iron Horse Inn

When the snows came
He would beg those within
for a chance to stay warm
from dusk to dawn.

The rent he paid was
a goofy grin
and if they required it –
a night’s love-in

One day I heard
a car drive by
I heard, offhand:
Would you like a ride?

and the kid said: Sure!

They stopped just offroad
in an evergreen aisle.
The man at the wheel
said with a smile:

Kid, wanna go the mile?
I can make it worth your while!

and the kid said: Sure!

Then I saw the boy’s face
contorted in pain
Oh! Why does it feel so strange?

He fell down bleeding by a back tire
On the ground down snow
‘Twixt the car and the lane

Two men guffawed
and drove away

The next day I walked out
my motel door
hoping to see
the boy’s face once more

I saw his Gatorade lying there
in a snowdrift
by a new guest’s door

It was tipped sideways.
It was half full –
the liquid bright blue
on the shoveled snow

Next day I walked out
with a flutter of hope
like a blue bird tangled
up in my heart

I saw the Gatorade
sunk in the snow
and my heart checked out
of the Iron Horse Inn.

The hateful heart needs no consoling
As it’s always patrolling …
Looking for someone to love it,
Though it has no love to give. It
Prowls Earth like velociraptor,
Looking for love ‘ever after’.
When it finds it, it will eat it!
Then, looking for another sweet, it
Moans and groans,
Until it owns:
There is no love,
Unless you feed it!

There once was a vet
Who began to feel that
He had too many cows on his docket

I have it! He stated
Since cash flow’s abated
I’ll try out a new line of profit

And so he ablated
That work he hated.
In favor of work that . . . The hospit-

-al blues …
Mercy me! Made the news

That vet had a profit
That couldn’t be crop-ped

Stop it! … Awe but!
Them that knows it, just drops it!

The dickens, you say!
I could bellow all day
‘Bout the vet who transformed his meal ticket

Yup. The hospit-
-al blues were front page news
For the vet with moolah to deposit

ICE
        top

A Poem by Alice B. Clagett
Soundtrack and Words
19 September 2019

This is a fictional, narrative poem.

I said, I’m a charity trust trustee
Ought I stay on the board or leave it?

He said, Why live with clutter?

Out of the corner of my eye
I looked round at his office

No papers, no books, no cabinets
Just a laptop and a printer

Ok, I said. I agree

As he handed me the paper to sign
his eyes cut like a razor

.   .  .

He said, Here are your POA forms
One is for power over health
the other for just about everything else

If you want
my wife and I
can provide that service for you

His eyes looked clear, like river ice
early on, in the winter

Ok, I said. I will sign them

.   .  .

His eyes turned blue like the midday sky
as he handed me the papers

Here’s a form, he said,
that I always advise
it’s important for your children

After 3 days they pull the plug
it saves them from commotion

I said, I don’t like that form at all!
Look at me – I’m the picture of perfect health
and then, I have no children

His eyes glinted like sun on snow
He said, My advice is to sign it.

.   .  .

He opened the door to show me out
Then stopped for half a second

My wife, he said, does health massage

I said, May I have her number?

.   .  .
.   .  .

She said, I can’t see you at my job
They’re fixing the floor in my office.
I’ll do the massage at our home instead

Her voice was like raspberry jam on toast
Why did that concern me?

What day? I asked
with a frog in my throat

She said, I’ll get back to you

Two weeks later, I found the door
of the place where she and her husband lived

Here, she said, is my new massage table

Her hand touched the cloth
in the way that a priest
offers the Sunday Eucharist

.   .  .

I don’t disrobe for massage, I said
I hope you can work around that

Her lips froze
Her eyes assessed
Her hip touched the edge of the table gently

Would that be ok? I asked

Ok, she said. Lie down here.

.   .  .

This is a new technique, she said
You’ll be the first to try it
and she explained cerebrally
the ins and outs of the method

Then out of the blue, it seemed to me,
she said, Do you know Catherine?
I have known her for years, she said
and I really like her

My eyes froze, then relaxed. O yeah.
It’s Catherine that’s working back in town
next door to this young lady

A hunch formed in the back of my mind
Then disappeared
before I could see
more than a claw
or the look on the face of it

.   .  .

A man in a hat
that concealed his face
walked in from the yard

As he cleared the lintel I saw
the door was still half open

His shadow lay
like a long black line
on the floor at the foot of the table

Who’s that? I asked

O, she said,
He’s just a gawker from next door
You don’t mind, do you?

I said, Yes I do!

The stranger stopped inching towards us

He turned round in the cool dim room
felt for the door with his left hand
and stumbled into the sunlight

.   .  .

My blood turned hot.
My hands got cold
My heart got a speeding ticket

I sat up.

My gosh, I have to go!
Here, let me pay you

IS THERE A HOTEL HILTON IN HELL?

OK, THEN, HOW ABOUT A SKI LIFT IN PURGATORY?        top
A Poem by Alice B. Clagett
11 February 2018

When we get to the afterlife
There is no social din or strife

No ritz, no hoi polloi-ing there
No pas de trois, no gamesterware

The agent of that shift’s quite clair …
The Mind of God is in the air

God will sit there on His Throne
And every pecadillo’s known

No boodle tendered to His cause
Can make the Hand of Wisdom pause

We can’t hop on that ‘so long’ bus
or ride the rails to dodge the fuss

God speaks our truth,
And then, forsooth,

It’s we that must the piper pay
When we face God on Judgment Day

ODE TO A SCARLET VARLET
        top
A Story by Alice B. Clagett
24 February 2018

You know, some people say that, when a criminal pays,
by going to jail, and then gets out again,
that they’ve paid their debt to society,
and so they deserve a second chance, right?
And so, but …
There are certain criminals that don’t want a second chance!
So I’ve composed this ode in honor of those sorts of criminals.
And it goes like this:
I have paid my debt to society
and I pay it again each week
Die, Sucker, Die!
And a makeover artist says:
If they shine their shoes, and buff up their lats
Nobody will know about their past!
And those guys say:
Die, Haberdasher, Die!
And the ladies say:
Whoo-eee! It’s a lot of fun
Fooling around with the reformed ones!
And those guys say:
Die, Pollyanna, die!
And humanitarians say:
Oh, these guys had such rough childhoods
Maybe we can help them with their livelihood
And those guys say:
Die, Goody Two-Shoes, die!
So, every Friday or Saturday night
They give the citizens quite a fright …
You will pay for the miserable way
You’ve treated us! It’s Judgement Day|
Die, Citizen, Die!
Well, I have to say,
I’m just put out by the situation
I’m daunted …
I’m just not wantin’
this reptilian lingo
to linger
any longer
You already know that story!
But what I hear, on a Friday night, Is
Die, Citizen, Die!

THE VOICE OF A CHILD        top
A Poem by Alice B. Clagett
Soundtrack and Words
3 March 2018

This account is entirely fictional.

Not long ago, in a country town
chilled to the bone, a troubled child
waited almost an hour for the bus to arrive

A woman, seeming mighty grand
pulled up in an old sedan
Leaned across the passenger seat
opened the door and said, hop in!

For almost a month on the astral plane
Night after night I heard his screams

God, oh God! God, oh God!
When will my father come find me?

Mr MD, What have you done
clipping the eyelids from that man’s son?
Did you think that would awaken him?

The heresy of physical form
makes a man think that a woman is born
when the jewels of his youth are shorn
and then, his mother’s fine clothes are worn

What shows up is an angry man
trapped in a form that he can’t stand
What will he do for a sexual thrill
but find a child at a bus stop to kill?

For over a month on the astral plane
I heard his screams, I felt his pain
And then one day, a man stepped in
and severed the child from his agony

Then for a month or more I heard
a sweet small voice from the wild clair world

I love you, I love you, Mr MD
for ending that nightmare pain in me
I love you, I love you, Mr MD …
Thank you for liberating me

Oh God, if there be a God, please spare
this child, please find him there
Bless him and bring him home again
to the Father who hears when he calls for help

Bless his parents. Heal that place
and by the way, as to Dorian Gray
ask the MD to read it please

Form’s good, but it’s not the only thing
It’s feelings that make our hearts sing

In my heart I still hear
month in, month out,
the voice of a child
and how he called out

See the face of a woman
who was not all there
and the glint of a knife
as it arced through the air

I remember how great
was the grief of that town
and how we kept hoping
the child would be found

What’ll we do with this James Dean Christian
Shall we declare him officially missin’ ?
What an amazing life he has led
From altar boy to dread Mordred

Shaper of altar cloths into a dress
For his mom who because of her faith misses
Beautiful clothes, as her beautiful boys
Need bottles and Bibles and breakfasts and toys

Murderer of pastor who under duress
Feared to reprove the dad who did worse
Than he ought – having been taught
Forgiveness for condom use cannot be bought

Black Mass provider for them that believe
Our church to be landed, while homeless folks grieve
Our church to be well fed while hungred cry out
And woeful from wealful are wryly pried out

Cozener of pride, crafter of wrong
Among those we depend on to keep our church strong
Fingerer of foothold in fondness or lust
In one who espouses felonious trust

Finder of failings in mighty and true
men who care not for hoodoo –
Anchor of angels to dark angel lands
Forcer of lightworkers, binder of hands
Maker, upstaker of daft demon bands

Speak we of ‘antichrist’, yet there are many
who speak in the plural, and say there are plenty
More than a handful of james Dean Christians
Who are quick to promote their own Dark visions

End Times can be tough, as such often prevail
In hostile takeovers – harrowing tale –
Church after church goes down in the dust
Of the man who makes millions and owns not a crust

Come hell or high water he grabs us and takes us
Down to the place where the hell fire bakes us
Tossing kith, dissing kin, foxed by rosy cloud cover
We abandon our lives for this demon lover

Say, what will we do with this James Dean Christian?
When all’s said and done, it is we that are missin’
the point, for the old must be left for the New
Each Christian must weather the Satan crew

How can we counter his trickster word?
What can we grasp but the cross and the sword?
Who then can save us but Christ who strides
Diffusing bright grace through the light’ning skies?

Today is the day to bid Satan adieu
And rise with the risen Christ anew
And bless the hour that we were born
Along with the child that the Magi adorn

Good Christmas to all and a wondrous New Year
And may Satan’s works fall flat on their ear
As Christians worldwide arise to the call
Of Christ and his works that hold Darkness in thrall –
Of God and His purpose held highest of all.

Dear Ones,

INTRODUCTION: SCRIMMAGES WITH A LOS ANGELES ‘BRUJO CULT’

This blog speaks to my experience in countering and overcoming psychic attacks by a Caucasian mind control cult here in the Los Angeles area.

On the astral plane I heard just Monday that the Latin American peoples of this valley where I live term these sorts of groups ‘brujo cults’ [sorcerer cults]. They say, on the astral plane, that there are ways of knowing which these are, so that a person will not be sideswiped by them on the astral plane …

Link: “Brujeria,” in Wikipedia … https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brujer%C3%ADa ..

This is very hopeful news, should it prove true, as the Caucasian peoples here in Los Angeles have lost what knowledge they once had of forestalling attempts at sorcery (or so it seems to me). It is possible there may be a priceless fund of information south of the border, and it may be that there is a way to discover it one day soon.

Meanwhile I offer my own experience with regard to a horrific psychic war a group of psychics undertook against me here in Los Angeles … a war that has lasted for more than 20 years. In retrospect it occurs to me that Darkworkers such as they perceive Lightworkers such as me to be vying with them for dominion over Earth … much as is erroneously conveyed in the movie “Good Omens” …

Link: “Good Omens,” at IMDb … https://www.imdb.com/title/tt1869454/ ..

I say ‘erroneously’ because, from the perspective of the fifth dimension, life on Earth is all One, and the purpose of all beings here is to act on their own free will, and to learn to align their hearts and minds and will with the great Heart, the great Mind, and the great Will of God.

Life on Earth is not a battleground between good and evil, I feel, but rather a cinematographic adventure designed by our Ascension Teams to help us know God, and to learn the ways of the many paths of Light, love, and joy.

But for now, let us turn back to this tale of woe, this story of the efforts of a lone Christian woman to counter the psychic attacks of what seemed to be the ravening psychic horde … of her encounter and subsequent rough and tumbles with one of the greatest ‘brujo cults’ of the modern world. Here is one strand of that multifarious tale of psychic scrimmage …

ALICE’S PERILOUS TALES: THE WHIRLING ‘CROWN OF THORNS’

On Appraising Miracles and Psychic Powers

I remember once, long years ago, I meditated with a group where ‘miracles’ and psychic powers were often conferred. At the same place I felt, for the first time in my life, a great deal of psychic turmoil near my energy field and coursing through the energy fields of other people; this turmoil I experienced as incursions of Dark, intelligent life forms. To put a blunt point upon it, demons seemed to dance over the heads of those upon whom psychic powers were conferred.

This was confusing to me, as I had understood, at my grandmother’s knee, while studying Christianity in early childhood, that miracles are conferred by God. In poring over the texts of the group where these paranormal events seemed to be transpiring … in hopes of an answer to my ponderings … I came across a statement by the group’s leader that psychic ‘visions’ are sometimes true and sometimes false, and that the serious spiritual student must needs exercise the utmost discretion in evaluating such psychic experiences.

Dark Attack: The Lightning Bolt That Pierced My Third-Eye Point in a Non-Christian Chapel

As the years wore on, my perplexity at what seemed to be ever more frequent … ‘Dark Attacks’ deepened.

I recall the first such incident had occurred, during a daytime group meditation in a non-Christian chapel. I had been sitting a few rows back from the front of the altar, with a head-and-shoulders painting of the group’s teacher, who was revered as a Neo-Hindu saint, above me on the center of the wall above the altar.

That day, my ability to meditate seemed vastly deeper than it ever had before … although I had enjoyed some years of meditation in decades past. Everyone else who was meditating there that day seemed to be experiencing the same deep inner peace as well. That must … I then thought … be a good thing?

I recall that a beautiful young woman, with long dark wavy hair, walked up the aisle to my right, then to the step just before the painting, and threw herself on the floor face first, in a display of the most abject adoration.

Then, out of the blue, a searing bolt of psychic energy flew forth, seemingly, from the eyes of the painting of the teacher that hung above the altar. This lightning bolt pierced straight through my third-eye point, and then kept going, into and through the heart chakra of a male devotee who was sitting about three rows behind me …

On the floor in front of the altar lies a woman, face down, arms outstretched on the floor beyond her head; this woman is labeled ‘female devotee prostrating herself at the altar’. On the left are rows of seats in a chapel; these are labeled ‘seats’. Seated second from the leftmost seat, nearer the back of the chapel, is a man; this man is labeled ‘male devotee’. Standing at the second seat from front is a woman facing the altar; this woman is labeled ‘me’. From the eyes of the saint in the picture above the altar is drawn a thick line that pierces the third-eye point of the standing woman, and ends in the heart chakra of the seated man. This line is labeled ‘lightning bolt’.

On the psychic plane, I recently heard someone say that the people in the non-Christian chapel where this psychic phenomenon occurred believed the ‘lightning bolt’ hit the sexual chakra of the male devotee in the drawing. While that was not so in my experience, it may be so in their timelines, so I have drawn the ‘lightning bolt’ in that way as well …

From the eyes of the saint in the picture above the altar is drawn a thick line that pierces the third-eye point of the standing woman, and ends in the sexual chakra of the seated man. This line is labeled ‘lightning bolt’ … COMMENT: My experience of the above-drawn psychic event was that the lightning bolt ended in the male devotee’s heart chakra. On the psychic plane I heard that some people believed the bolt ended in the man’s sexual chakra. As that may be their truth, I have drawn it that way in this image.

Drawing: “Lightning Bolt of Psychic Energy in Non-Christian Chapel: Bolt Ends in Man’s Sexual Chakra,” by Alice B. Clagett, 20 May 2020, CC BY-SA 4.0 …

DESCRIPTION: On the right, at the front of the chapel, is a raised platform with a table on it; the table is labeled ‘Altar’. On the table is a vase of flowers. On the wall above the altar is a head-and-shoulders picture of a saint; this picture is labeled ‘Guru’.

From the eyes of the saint in the picture above the altar is drawn a thick line that pierces the third-eye point of the standing woman, and ends in the sexual chakra of the seated man. This line is labeled ‘lightning bolt’.

COMMENT: My experience of the above-drawn psychic event was that the lightning bolt ended in the male devotee’s heart chakra. On the psychic plane I heard that some people believed the bolt ended in the man’s sexual chakra. As that may be their truth, I have drawn it that way in this image.

I was shocked. I turned to see who had gotten scorched. It was a young man, a stranger to me, who looked to be saintly, sitting behind me. He had risen up halfway out of his chair just then, with a look of mild shock on his face. As I looked, he slowly sat back down.

Behind him, at the roped off back of the meditation area, sat a pretty young woman meditator whom I later found was the young man’s fiancée. Standing in the aisle between the roped off seats and the main seats of the meditation room was a buxom middle-aged woman dressed in stately, modest dark-hued clothes; it seemed to me she felt hostile toward me, although we had never met.

Sidebar: Unwelcome Psychic Events I Experienced While Meditating with Neo-Hindu Groups

For a set of drawings to do with an untoward event that occurred time after time in another neo-Hindu meditation group, see …

Link: “Schadenfreude and the ‘Bow Down to Me’ 3-Part Football Play,” by Alice B. Clagett, published on 13 November 2013; revised … https://wp.me/p2Rkym-7ia ..

I class these as black magic or thuggee types of events to do with psychic powers exerted through spiritual adepts, black magicians, or sorcerers by disembodied entities.

The two events I experienced occurred in a Neo-Hindu setting. I feel it likely that such events may happen in any spiritual setting, and do not necessarily represent the teachings of a spiritual group as a whole; they may be just disparate, chance events.

………………..

Subsequent Visions on Days Commemorating the Group’s Saints

That then was the first vision I had while meditating with that group. But as the years wore on, I became aware that, during meditations on days when each of the group’s saints were commemorated, there would invariably be a psychic vision of the saint in the last few minutes of the meditation. This vision, it seemed to me, might have been experienced by all the meditating people.

It was the predictability of this vision that led me to a theory that these might be the ‘false visions’ of which their teacher spoke. Perhaps, I thought, they might even be a psychic lure or temptation offered by the Demonic realm to induce people to join the group.

Could this be so? Having no experience in the psychic realms, I had no idea. Possibly, I thought, there might be an ‘inner sanctum’ of psychics in this group, who were creating the visions as a sort of mass hallucination?

Other Teachers’ Advice About a Dark, Whirling Psychic ‘Crown of Thorns’

Given the continuing presence of what seemed to be demons circling round my head in tiny batches of six … like a Dark, whirling ‘crown of thorns’ at the level of my third-eye point … I had to wonder what was up.

I was attending a different meditation group in West Los Angeles and in Durango, Colorado, in the summers during that time. I recall asking the group leader (during a class in which the circling ‘batches of six’ were especially annoying) who those whirling people were? I recall he said, at the time, with a disparaging look, that they were not people; they were not anything living.

I recalled another spiritual teacher told me he felt that anything within my energy field was mine to transform. If these were not living beings, then surely it would be ok to transform them to the Light?

Transformation of One Thorn to the Light

I recall driving down Route 160 one day, on the way from Durango to Bayfield, Colorado. The ‘crown of thorns’ was whirling around; to my dismay, it seemed to be accompanied by psychic howling.

The Incoming Light was particularly splendid that day, and that led me to concentrate my Awareness on my third-eye point, in hopes that it might be purified and transformed by the  Light.

To my utter consternation, I heard a great screeching and screaming from one of the circling ‘non-beings’, and in a poof of Light, it disappeared. Now there were only five in my ‘crown of thorns’.

But what in Heaven’s name had just happened? I had to stop the car at the next turnout and try to figure it out. Turnouts are relatively scarce on that stretch of road, but I found one. Then I asked my Ascension Team what had happened. My Team, in a descent of Light, allowed me to feel it was all for the good.

Another Person’s Causal ‘Take’ on Transformation Through the Light

But at the same time, in the causal realm, I heard from the young psychic man whose heart had been pierced in the original ‘vision’ that a psychic woman whom he respected as a mother figure had just then had a heart attack, or maybe a stroke, and that … he felt … I was the cause of this injury to her person.

There is always a question, with psychic phenomena: Are they true or false? Clearly the causal realm … which is confined to the third (physical) and fourth (astral) dimensions … is relatively false, compared to the fifth dimension (the Kingdom of God). From that stance, any causal statement is relatively false.

Further, what I heard might have been, not the thought forms of another person, but rather my own misgivings, set forth in my own mind as if they were the thoughts of another person.

Or they might have been accurate representations of the beliefs of the person I thought I heard; yet the question might arise whether these beliefs were accurate.

Faith in God: The Only Cure to Black Magic and Sorcerers’ Spells

For all I know, the injurious physical event had not happened. But what if it had? If it had, then the meditation teacher who thought the ‘crown of thorns’ was composed of ‘non-beings’ would have been mistaken. For if transformation of one of these to the Light resulted in injury to a psychic woman, then that dot of circling Light must have been the very woman, or perhaps some enspelled or enspelling aspect of her beingness.

What manner of spell this might have been, I may never know. I am no adept of the Dark, nor had I knowledge of Black Magic, when what seemed to be my utmost peril befell me, and persisted round me for nigh on 20 years.

Yet I can say that, through faith in God, through aligning with His awesome Will and Heart and Mind, any temptation … any seeming manifestation of the Dark … may, in time, be overcome. For I found that, year after weary year, the nebulous, fearful grip of the Dark with great reluctance loosened, and the tenebrity of the astral air lightened and brightened around me.

This I may say about psychic powers: They are a great test of faith. They can be of the utmost detriment to our Soul evolution if we take pride in them, and if in arrogance and self-righteousness we use them to injure other people for the sake of our own selves or our own sect.

The only sanctuary for those tempted in this way is alignment of our will and heart and mind with those of God … visualizing in every instant His saving grace, which He may choose to manifest through our frail form, and despite our many failings, or which He may chose to manifest otherly. With that attitude we may strive towards Soul evolution despite the many trials our hearts must needs endure in this Earthly life.

Tinsel Head: To Be or Not to Be?
A Poem by Alice B. Clagett
18 December 2019

I shall wear tinsel on my head
And then by demons will be lead
Then by no one shalt be said
That my head is full of lead …
instead
They’ll bow down to me

FOOL’S GOLD
A Poem by Alice B. Clagett
27 November 2019

Would you like some counterfeit?
We have tons and tons of it.

If you say yes, and Fort Knox knocks,
They will have what you have not …
The stuff that dreams are made of.

Who can guess with what duress
The Feds will put you to the test?
Confess! … unless  you’d like a drubbing.

So I say: At the end of the day
It’s better to have what you make,
Than fake … albeit merely pennies.

Then, should the Feds express distress
You can show what you were paid …
And so allay budding dismay
On the part of every party.

I do presume to sing this tune
Of happiness without much stress
By being quite the opposite
Of those who profess to be lawless.

Heartache creeps in
When the heart takes a spin
To the land of the heartachy hard case …

Perhaps not the gallows
Yet prison will swallow
The years of our youth
Amongst the uncouth
Who did not know real bread
From playdough

I Am of the Stars

“The Gatorade Kid”
A Poem by Alice B. Clagett
25 October 2019
Soundtrack and Words

There was a kid
who lived outside
He lived right behind
The Iron Horse Inn

When the snows came
He would beg those within
for a chance to stay warm
from dusk to dawn.

The rent he paid was
a goofy grin
and if they required it –
a night’s love-in

One day I heard
a car drive by
I heard, offhand:
Would you like a ride?

and the kid said: Sure!

They stopped just offroad
in an evergreen aisle.
The man at the wheel
said with a smile:

Kid, wanna go the mile?
I can make it worth your while!

and the kid said: Sure!

Then I saw the boy’s face
contorted in pain
Oh! Why does it feel so strange?

He fell down bleeding by a back tire
On the ground down snow
‘Twixt the car and the lane

Two men guffawed
and drove away

The next day I walked out
my motel door
hoping to see
the boy’s face once more

I saw his Gatorade lying there
in a snowdrift
by a new guest’s door

It was tipped sideways.
It was half full –
the liquid bright blue
on the shoveled snow

Next day I walked out
with a flutter of hope
like a blue bird tangled
up in my heart

I saw the Gatorade
sunk in the snow
and my heart checked out
of the Iron Horse Inn.

Dear Ones, It’s Alice. I Am of the Stars.

This is a poem called “Ice” …

. . . . .

“Ice”
A Poem by Alice B. Clagett
Soundtrack and Words
19 September 2019

This is a fictional, narrative poem.

I said, I’m a charity trust trustee
Ought I stay on the board or leave it?

He said, Why live with clutter?

Out of the corner of my eye
I looked round at his office

No papers, no books, no cabinets
Just a laptop and a printer

Ok, I said. I agree

As he handed me the paper to sign
his eyes cut like a razor

.   .  .

He said, Here are your POA forms
One is for power over health
the other for just about everything else

If you want
my wife and I
can provide that service for you

His eyes looked clear, like river ice
early on, in the winter

Ok, I said. I will sign them

.   .  .

His eyes turned blue like the midday sky
as he handed me the papers

Here’s a form, he said,
that I always advise
it’s important for your children

After 3 days they pull the plug
it saves them from commotion

I said, I don’t like that form at all!
Look at me – I’m the picture of perfect health
and then, I have no children

His eyes glinted like sun on snow
He said, My advice is to sign it.

.   .  .

He opened the door to show me out
Then stopped for half a second

My wife, he said, does health massage

I said, May I have her number?

.   .  .
.   .  .

She said, I can’t see you at my job
They’re fixing the floor in my office.
I’ll do the massage at our home instead

Her voice was like raspberry jam on toast
Why did that concern me?

What day? I asked
with a frog in my throat

She said, I’ll get back to you

Two weeks later, I found the door
of the place where she and her husband lived

Here, she said, is my new massage table

Her hand touched the cloth
in the way that a priest
offers the Sunday Eucharist

.   .  .

I don’t disrobe for massage, I said
I hope you can work around that

Her lips froze
Her eyes assessed
Her hip touched the edge of the table gently

Would that be ok? I asked

Ok, she said. Lie down here.

.   .  .

This is a new technique, she said
You’ll be the first to try it
and she explained cerebrally
the ins and outs of the method

Then out of the blue, it seemed to me,
she said, Do you know Catherine?
I have known her for years, she said
and I really like her

My eyes froze, then relaxed. O yeah.
It’s Catherine that’s working back in town
next door to this young lady

A hunch formed in the back of my mind
Then disappeared
before I could see
more than a claw
or the look on the face of it

.   .  .

A man in a hat
that concealed his face
walked in from the yard

As he cleared the lintel I saw
the door was still half open

His shadow lay
like a long black line
on the floor at the foot of the table

Who’s that? I asked

O, she said,
He’s just a gawker from next door
You don’t mind, do you?

I said, Yes I do!

The stranger stopped inching towards us

He turned round in the cool dim room
felt for the door with his left hand
and stumbled into the sunlight

.   .  .

My blood turned hot.
My hands got cold
My heart got a speeding ticket

I sat up.

My gosh, I have to go!
Here, let me pay you

. . . . .

In love, light and joy,
I Am of the Stars

A POEM FOR THE MAN WITH THE TREMBLING PINKIE
by Alice B. Clagett
9 August 2019

His balderdash
Off he will cast
And you’ll be (past
tense) corned beef hash.

To get wise to this sort of MO, it might be good to view the British 2-part drama “Secret Smile,” which stars Kate Ashfield and David Tennant … Link: “Secret Smile” … https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Secret_Smile ..

I do not advise ‘getting even’ or ‘giving someone what they deserve’ like the heroine, though. The thing to do is to ask local law enforcement for help, I feel.

In love, light and joy,
I Am of the Stars

AFTERTHOUGHT: DO PERSEID METEOR SHOWERS SPARK SERIAL KILLER AND SERIAL RAPIST ENERGIES?

I wonder if this trouble that comes up every once in a while has something to do with the annual Perseid meteor shower (associated with the comet Swift-Tuttle), which is taking place just now?

Last night it felt like big menacing dark things were zooming by … a crowd of them, almost like hostile thought forms zooming through my head.

Could there be an association between the energy of the annual Perseid meteor shower and that of undercover serial killers and serial rapists? … a ‘spark-off’ that turns them from mild mannered Dr. Jekylls to evil Mr. Hydes this time of year? …

Dear Ones,

Here is a poem written during the monthly creative writing class I attended at the beginning of May. The stance of the poem I feel to be good for me as a neutral observer of humankind.

Elsewhere in my blogs I express the stance I would take were I a transvestite (a crossdresser) or transgender person dealing with the Ascension clearing process through the Incoming Light. That process also involves neutral witnessing, I feel, but of a different sort: In that field ‘beyond right and wrong’ (to quote the great mystical poet Rumi) each of us stands alone with God, and assesses the what and wherefore of our human condition, the causal incidents of our Soul wounding, and that ruthlessly truthful Awareness that leads to an ever brighter Body of Light.

SUMMARY OF THE VIDEO

Hello, Dear Ones, It’s Alice. I Am of the Stars.

At writing class last month, we had an assignment to write a story that included certain words. Each person in the class contributed one word at that moment; and the words were: candle, crutch, soar, sadness, transvestite, and excitement.

My gift to the class was a poem that included all those words. Here is that poem for you; the title is “Hold a Candle” ….

“Hold a Candle”
A Poem by Alice B. Clagett
Soundtrack and Words
5 May 2019

Hold a candle
Find a light
Hold it high
Against the night

What’s a hindrance?
What’s a crutch?
Find the surest
Healing touch!

Soar in laughter
Sink in pain
Sense the level
Strong terrain

Sadness catches
One and all
Then allows us
To recall

How excitement
May sustain —
Double, triple
Each small gain

Trust that
Each transvestite’s fear
May find comfort
Somewhere

Hear their yearning
Sense their call:
I’m God’s child
As are we all.

SHEETS OF LIGHT

Light came down in sheets and folds
. . like cake mix falling into a cake pan
. . like clothes-pinned billows of wet sheets
. . . . .that fold and snap in a wild breeze
. . like Heaven slaloming
. . . . . through the streets.

Now, now is the time.

Dearest of the dear
Nearer than the breath of life
Faster than silver-footed thought

More sure than mother’s love
More curious than cats
More glorious than sunlight
. . caroming past Palm Sunday

Oh my Soul, remember!

SUMMARY OF THE VIDEO

Iambic Tetrameter Sayings to Soothe Astral Rape Gangs

Hello, Dear Ones, It’s Alice. I Am of the Stars.

I have been dealing with the issue of misogyny … hatred of women … on the astral plane through last night. A lot of other people have joined in. I have come to some startling, interim conclusions that I feel may help abate the energy of misogyny on the astral plane.

There is a type of rhythm that you can use, and words that you can use, that to me are reminiscent of a mother’s heartbeat. I think that the issue of the motherly love, and the mother’s heartbeat, are very important, in cases of misogyny (hatred of women). I will give you just a few examples.

When men are misogynists, on the astral plane they cluster together in astral rape gangs, and descend upon women in groups of six to nine or 12. While they are resting, or sleeping, or unconscious in some way, these astral rape gangs descend upon women and begin a chant that involves astral rape.

This has to do with a few with a few things: It has to do with arrogance … you could say … or a lack of relationship to the Mother, which results in lack of empathy, and increased male bonding, not counterbalanced by the feelings of empathy and love such as a mother would have.

So the astral rape gangs suddenly descend! I know some of you are hearing this clairaudiently, or have experienced this feeling of astral rape, or astral ‘gangbang’. (Some use other words for it.)

And so, when they descend, what you say is (and paying attention to the soft tone of the voice, and the smooth, slow rhythm of the voice) …

I am irresponsive to your plea. I am irresponsive to your plea.

The next bit of banter may have something to do with a kind of a very mild taunt by one of the men in the astral rape gang; and it goes like this …

“I Thought You Loved Me More Than Anything”

I thought you loved me more than anything! (Seeming sincere, right?) And this is as far as I have gotten as to the response to this; you will notice it has the same tone and rhythm as the last response  … and it goes like this …

“That Dandelion Thing Is Not for Me”
by Alice B. Clagett
Soundtrack and Words
1 January 2019

That dandelion thing is not for me. That dandelion thing is not for me.

Alternatively, you could say: That hootenanny thing is not for me. That hootenanny thing is not for me.

That somehow diffuses the energy of misogyny (hatred of women) on the astral plane. I think that it will be sufficient, even though it is incomplete; it will be sufficient to allow you to phrase your own concepts, your own responses, in your own terms, if you will use the same soothing tone, and the same rhythm … the same syllable and the same accents … like in poetry.

All right, everyone … very good luck with this. I hope this works, because the turning of the Atlantean age, which is just taking place right now … back to an era of balance between the Divine Masculine and Feminine … requires us to find a pacific counter to the energies of misogyny that have arisen to a crescendo in 2012, and are now beginning to abate.

Postscript

Iambic Tetrameter: The Mother’s Heartbeat. I just did some research on the rhythm and the accents of the two examples that I gave, and I found out they are both examples of Iambic Tetrameter … That is, more or less, sets of an unstressed syllable, followed by a stressed syllable … that is the Iamb … it is the rhythm of the heartbeat; and Tetrameter means that there are four such sets of syllables in the line.

A good example of Iambic Tetrameter is Joyce Kilmer’s poem called “The Tree” … which everybody knows. The rhythm goes like this: da-Daah, da-Daah, da-Daah, da-Daah … one unstressed syllable, followed by a stressed syllable … and four sets of these.

As you can tell, it is the feeling of a steady heartbeat, the loving heartbeat of the mother; the very first rhythm that a child ever knows. While still unborn, it feels that rhythm; so it is a very reassuring, calming rhythm. And it helps in cases of anger or upset or rage, or even of unbridled sexual attraction. It helps calm a person’s heart, I feel.

Iambic Pentameter: The Slow Gallop. It is worth noting that there are other examples of the iambic poetry; for example, the one that I always loved: Iambic Pentameter, which is five sets of Iambic syllables. To me that feels kind of like a horse in a slow gallop across a beautiful, summer meadow.

There are examples of Iambic Pentameter in the writing of William Shakespeare, John Donne, and Geoffrey Chaucer. I think that Iambic Pentameter gained popularity because, in those days, people often rode horseback; and that galloping feeling … that slow, galloping feeling … was something that allowed them to compose poetry while on the hunt, for example, or going to war, or just riding a horse for the fun of it. And reciting that poetry probably reminded them of all those adventures that they had on horseback, in their lives.

SUMMARY OF THE VIDEO

Hello, Dear Ones, It’s Alice. I Am of the Stars.

I have come across a warding thought to prevent codependency in the case of addiction, and in the case of people who are trying to cling to you, who are addicts. They say things in their subconscious minds like: Why does she not love me more than anything? Why does she not love me more than anything? … or … God, I love you. God, I love you. God, I love you. Like that, over and over again, right?

But what they want is for the other person to feel sympathetic to them. They want a feeling of sympathy, right? … to support themselves in their addiction.

So the thing is to say this, or something like this, at the speed of your own heartbeat … It goes like this: Oh poor, poor me. Won’t you have pity on me? Oh poor, poor me. Don’t you feel sorry for me?

This works almost immediately, but I would keep up for a little time, and then go on to your own mantra, like: I am I. I am One. I love me. And like that, just to cure any feeling of excess empathy. Right? To gain a strong sense of self-esteem, and so forth.

What bookish notion schools a bairn
rapt, like a crayfish by a languid bourne?

What did that crawdad ever learn,
that it knew not on finding form?

How, in fact, shall I take in
all the beings that I am?

How frisk the veil of by and by
where tens on tens of folks be I ?

— one just borning and the next full grown
— one soft cocooning, in carnation’s womb
—
one swift careening through an astral gloom
turning, hand outstretched, to angelic lumen

Now regal male decked rough, reared up full wild
Now just past childhood mother cradling her own child

Guerrero here, there carpenter or nun
Pagan, Christian, wondering One
Trying, falling, free, then bound
yearning, spurning, missing, found!

How may we reckon age or race or wealth?
How learn the weight of wisdom of our Self?

How find a mooring in this place, that time
when placeless timeless Hearts toward God incline?

He is the flower of the Soul
His the enthralling, star-spanned role
His is the basket that all lives enspline
He is the teacher, He the rhyme

SUMMARY OF THE VIDEO

Ode to a Scarlet Varlet
A Story by Alice B. Clagett
Soundtrack and Words
24 February 2018

You know, some people say that, when a criminal pays,
by going to jail, and then gets out again,
that they’ve paid their debt to society,
and so they deserve a second chance, right?

And so, but …
There are certain criminals that don’t want a second chance!
So I’ve composed this ode in honor of those sorts of criminals.
And it goes like this:

I have paid my debt to society
and I pay it again each week
Die, Sucker, Die!

And a makeover artist says:
If they shine their shoes, and buff up their lats
Nobody will know about their past!

And those guys say:
Die, Haberdasher, Die!

And the ladies say:
Whoo-eee! It’s a lot of fun
Fooling around with the reformed ones!

And those guys say:
Die, Pollyanna, die!

And humanitarians say:
Oh, these guys had such rough childhoods
Maybe we can help them with their livelihood

And those guys say:
Die, Goody Two-Shoes, die!

So, every Friday or Saturday night
They give the citizens quite a fright …

You will pay for the miserable way
You’ve treated us! It’s Judgement Day|
Die, Citizen, Die!

Well, I have to say,
I’m just put out by the situation
I’m daunted …
I’m just not wantin’
this reptilian lingo
to linger
any longer

You already know that story!
But what I hear, on a Friday night, Is
Die, Citizen, Die!

GOD’s GARDEN
A Poem by Alice B. Clagett
17 March 2018

I remember those times
when I lived at the edge
of the canyon

And saw
the wild dogs

coursing
like dun-colored
streams

through the depths
of the canyon
floors

of an evening

I remember
step
by careful
step

threading my way
down the steep
slopes

There I saw
in the fading

green
of mild
spring days

cucumbers
tomatoes
watermelons

strike up
from straggly
vines

strewn forth
by garden seeds
washed

down … down …
into the
canyon

I remember
thinking
God’s garden is here!

None but God
to sow these seeds

None but God
to reap these fruits

Who
draws
the pattern
of the days?

Who conducts
the symphony
of winter rains
and summer
thirst?

Who guides
the padded feet

that strike their will
both deep and sure

into

the unsuspecting
heart
of this lost

city?

  • “The Voice of a Child,” a Poem by Alice B. Clagett, Soundtrack and Words, 3 March 2018

Dear Ones,

Here is a poem I wrote earlier this month …

Although this account is entirely fictional, the inspiration for it was the murder of the child Dylan Redwine in Bayfield, Colorado, after he went missing on 18 November 2012.

As I recall, posters were put up around town regarding a 19-year-old Ute child, possibly from the nearby town of Ignacio, Colorado, who went missing a month later, but I cannot find anything on that child online; perhaps he went back home.

I also recall a couple of instances of foreign exchange students at Fort Lewis College in Durango, Colorado, being posted as missing while out running in the mountains … if memory serves? Was it in the summertime, between 2013 and 2015? As well, I could not find information on them online; perhaps they came safely back to school.

“The Voice of a Child”
A Poem by Alice B. Clagett
Soundtrack and Words
3 March 2018

This account is entirely fictional.

Not long ago, in a country town
chilled to the bone, a troubled child
waited almost an hour for the bus to arrive

A woman, seeming mighty grand
pulled up in an old sedan
Leaned across the passenger seat
opened the door and said, hop in!

For almost a month on the astral plane
Night after night I heard his screams

God, oh God! God, oh God!
When will my father come find me?

Mr MD, What have you done
clipping the eyelids from that man’s son?
Did you think that would awaken him?

The heresy of physical form
makes a man think that a woman is born
when the jewels of his youth are shorn
and then, his mother’s fine clothes are worn

What shows up is an angry man
trapped in a form that he can’t stand
What will he do for a sexual thrill
but find a child at a bus stop to kill?

For over a month on the astral plane
I heard his screams, I felt his pain
And then one day, a man stepped in
and severed the child from his agony

Then for a month or more I heard
a sweet small voice from the wild clair world

I love you, I love you, Mr MD
for ending that nightmare pain in me
I love you, I love you, Mr MD …
Thank you for liberating me

Oh God, if there be a God, please spare
this child, please find him there
Bless him and bring him home again
to the Father who hears when he calls for help

Bless his parents. Heal that place
and by the way, as to Dorian Gray
ask the MD to read it please

Form’s good, but it’s not the only thing
It’s feelings that make our hearts sing

In my heart I still hear
month in, month out,
the voice of a child
and how he called out

See the face of a woman
who was not all there
and the glint of a knife
as it arced through the air

I remember how great
was the grief of that town
and how we kept hoping
the child would be found

There once was a vet
Who began to feel that

Since cash flow’s abated
I’ll try out a new line of profit

And so he ablated
That work he hated.
In favor of work that . . . The hospit-

-al blues …
Mercy me! Made the news

That vet had a profit
That couldn’t be crop-ped

Stop it! … Awe but!
Them that knows it, just drops it!

The dickens, you say!
I could bellow all day
‘Bout the vet who transformed his meal ticket

Yup. The hospit-

For the vet with moolah to deposit

SUMMARY OF THE VIDEO

Dear Ones,

Story by Alice: My High School Latin Teacher

When I woke up this morning, suddenly popped into my mind a poem that I learned when I was young … I remember my Latin teacher in high school. I remember her very well, because she carried a little stick, or wand, with her. She would swish it through the air, when we said something that she did not like. And she would rap it on the desk, if she really did not like it. She always made me think: Maybe she’ll hit me too! … although that was probably against the school rules. [laughs]

One of the things she did, besides teaching us Latin, was to teach us this particular poem. She felt it was so important to us, that she made us memorize it, and then recite it, every time we came to class.

These days I do not totally remember it, but I do remember how important it is. It is a poem by William Wordsworth … a very short poem … and it is about how we can get caught up in the day to day … the everyday routine of our lives … and what we want to get, and what we want to have … and what we want to do. And how these activities … like mental activities … like kind of a cage we get ourselves into … can prevent us from seeing the immense beauty of the natural world.

I am not so good I can recite it by memory, so I am going to read it off the internet. Maybe you can read it in my eyeglasses too [laughs], because it is reflected there. It has some big words in it … for those of you that are younger. So here goes …

“The World Is Too Much With Us”
by William Wordsworth

“The world is too much with us; late and soon,
“Getting and spending, we lay waste our powers;—
“Little we see in Nature that is ours;
“We have given our hearts away, a sordid boon!
“This Sea that bares her bosom to the moon;
“The winds that will be howling at all hours,
“And are up-gathered now like sleeping flowers;
“For this, for everything, we are out of tune;
“It moves us not. Great God! I’d rather be
“A Pagan suckled in a creed outworn;
“So might I, standing on this pleasant lea,
“Have glimpses that would make me less forlorn;
“Have sight of Proteus rising from the sea;
“Or hear old Triton blow his wreathèd horn.”

. . . . .

In love, light and joy,
I Am of the Stars

Is There a Hotel Hilton in Hell? Ok, Then, How About a Ski Lift in Purgatory? . a poem by Alice B. Clagett

Dear Ones,

This poem is about the Afterlife …

. . . . .

IS THERE A HOTEL HILTON IN HELL?
OK, THEN, HOW ABOUT A SKI LIFT IN PURGATORY?
A Poem by Alice B. Clagett
11 February 2018

When we get to the afterlife
There is no social din or strife

No ritz, no hoi polloi-ing there
No pas de trois, no gamesterware

The agent of that shift’s quite clair …
The Mind of God is in the air

God will sit there on His Throne
And every pecadillo’s known

No boodle tendered to His cause
Can make the Hand of Wisdom pause

We can’t hop on that ‘so long’ bus
or ride the rails to dodge the fuss

God speaks our truth,
And then, forsooth,

It’s we that must the piper pay
When we face God on Judgment Day

“THE CLINK OF A REPTILE’S TOES”
A Poem by Alice B. Clagett
Soundtrack and Words
11 February 2018

There was a fellow in Desperadoville
Who loved to kill for a sexual thrill

A wise guy stopped by who said, “My gosh …
You make your kills with swashbuckling panache!

“I have one request … ‘Cause
These kills make such messes …
Once monthly, finesse this  …

“Then say goodbye
To the townspeople’s sighs,
To their nightmares and cries …
Go and give it a try!”

So he tried this advice,
And at first it seemed nice

But the beat of his heart
Did a Humphrey Bogart
When he practiced that art

And, quick as Jack Robinson,
He ditched that lesson

Day after day, began
Once more rampagin’

One night, drinking liquor,
This hard hitter figured:
“The trouble’s your ticker!

“It’s too fast a racer
I’ll put a pacemaker
Inside it. Then killin’
Won’t be so thrillin’

“Cause when I think ‘hatchets’
My heart just won’t ratchet
Up, due to this gadget.”

So he found a doctor
To make up an order
To purchase the gizmo
To KO his MO

A life of crime
Don’t stop on a dime
It worked for a time

Then the day arrived
When he contrived

A vast panorama …
A homicide drama …

That went off as expected
For he fled, undetected
And savored the deed with espresso

This is far from the norm
He surmised, all forlorn …
My heart didn’t vet the crescendo

He moped for a while
Though it wasn’t his style …

“I’ll have to make hay
In a cold-blooded way,”
He declared: “Easy come, easy go!”

Stonegate II . an image poem by Alice B. Clagett

Filmed on 16 April 2017; published on 29 January 2018

Dear Ones,

In the below poem, the images are important to the presentation of the poem, rather than being simply decorative.  I term it an ‘Image Poem’ as it takes its inspiration from images … in this case, photographs of a Santa Paula, California scene that lay before me after an odd experience that befell me that same day in Ojai, California.

This variant on the traditional Image Poem is a little like the old-fashioned children’s picture-book with rhyme (although in this case the poem describes a mystic vision of Creation and of the immortal Soul) …

Before time was, I am.
Before all that is
was but a whisper in the wind,
I was the wind.

Before those stones
rose up there
that made that mountain high and wide …

where Light was not
I brought the Light.
I brought the days.

And now,
In this haze of Dark and Light
I bring the Light again
to humankind
That we may know
the Spirit on the water,
the wind behind Creation.

And that we may bring
that glory back to Earth
that once was hers

INTRODUCTION

Dear Ones,

Here is a reading from Shakespeare’s play “Hamlet,” the speech “To Be or Not to Be” … and comments about the Ascension process during the lead-up to Spring Equinox 2015, including …

  • the importance of avoiding ‘acting out’,
  • timeline significance of vengeance, blame, forgiveness. The end of the play “Hamlet” is a good hint about this.
  • Ascension process during the afterlife
  • grounding: fear versus appreciation and gratitude
  • grounding: shifting timelines and dimensions

There is an edited Summary after the video …

VIDEO BY ALICE

SUMMARY OF THE VIDEO

Hello, Dear Ones, It’s Alice.

It is early in the morning here. The birds are singing, the sun is out, and the leaf blower is making a lot of noise down the hill. [laughs] I hope you cannot hear that part, anyway.

“Hamlet” and the Ascension Process

I have been looking here, for a few days … actually for a week or so … at a speech by Hamlet, in Shakespeare’s play “Hamlet.” It is a pretty famous speech that I learned when I was young,

First I thought: It hardly applies in the context of Ascension. Then this morning, I thought: Maybe it does! Maybe there is something to be looked at here, in the context of Ascension … what Christians call the Second Coming of Christ, or Christ consciousness … which is the process that is underway right now.

The Free Will Decision to Prepare for Multidimensional Majesty

Actually … and this is kind of hard to ‘grok’ … the process … as I understand it … has already taken place. But large masses of humanity have made the Free Will decision to continue with the third dimensional hologram for the time being, as they purify their Light Bodies, and prepare for the fullness of their multidimensional majesty.

Hamlet and the Unwanted Effect of Taking Revenge

Now, what do I mean by multidimensional? That is the question that I am going to discuss after I read to you this poem. Just for a little for those that do not know about Hamlet: The poor guy! His uncle had just murdered his father. And apparently married, or was about to marry, his mother. And this was an action that he considered, should be revenged.

The problem is, when you go around avenging yourself, sometimes the consequences are that you yourself get killed! You know? You get drawn into the action. This is something I have referred to recently … to those that are undergoing amplification of change of the electromagnetic field … as the tendency to act out.

Prime Caveat: Do Not Act Out!

And what I have always said is: Do not act out! Do not act unusual. Continue with your ordinary way of acting, or ratchet down to a vacation time. Something like that. A little break, to go for a walk in the park?

But do not act out in an unusual way that will upset society … such as killing someone, or killing yourself, or getting into a car accident, or any of the things that I would consider to be kind of serious acting out. Ok?

Spring Equinox 2015: Celestial Energies Will Be Ramping Up for the Next Few Weeks

So that is the thing we want to avoid right now, because the energies are ratcheting up. And will be, apparently, through a window of activity that includes several weeks, around the time of the Equinox in March 2015. And I could say that for me, recently, the electromagnetic field activity has been more than intense.

Setting the Stage for Hamlet’s Soliloquy

So there is that acting out thing. I kind of let the cat out of the bag a little bit, but let’s get on to “Hamlet” … He is all by himself right now, although I think there may be people hanging around, trying to evesdrop. And his potential future wife Ophelia is about to walk in and talk to him.

As you may know, if you have read the story, after his potential future wife walks in, he kind of goes ‘over the edge’, and becomes, very inappropriately, involved in an argument with her, when she is just hoping that he will be ok, and will not act out.

But so, here is his soliloquy (that means a speech to yourself; thinking things over in your mind, and saying your thoughts out loud. Here is a soliloquy that took place just before Ophelia came on the scene …

Hamlet’s Soliloquy: “To Be or Not to Be”

“To be, or not to be, that is the question—
Whether ’tis Nobler in the mind to suffer
The Slings and Arrows of outrageous Fortune,
Or to take Arms against a Sea of troubles,
And by opposing, end them? To die, to sleep—
No more; and by a sleep, to say we end
The Heart-ache, and the thousand Natural shocks
That Flesh is heir to? ‘Tis a consummation
Devoutly to be wished. To die, to sleep,
To sleep, perchance to Dream; Aye, there’s the rub,
For in that sleep of death, what dreams may come,
When we have shuffled off this mortal coil,
Must give us pause. There’s the respect
That makes Calamity of so long life:
For who would bear the Whips and Scorns of time,
The Oppressor’s wrong, the proud man’s Contumely,
The pangs of despised Love, the Law’s delay,
The insolence of Office, and the Spurns
That patient merit of the unworthy takes,
When he himself might his Quietus make
With a bare Bodkin? Who would these Fardels bear,
To grunt and sweat under a weary life,
But that the dread of something after death,
The undiscovered Country, from whose bourn
No Traveller returns, Puzzles the will,
And makes us rather bear those ills we have,
Than fly to others that we know not of.
Thus Conscience does make Cowards of us all,
And thus the Native hue of Resolution
Is sicklied o’er, with the pale cast of Thought,
And enterprises of great pitch and moment,
With this regard their Currents turn awry,
And lose the name of Action. Soft you now,
The fair Ophelia. Nymph, in thy Orisons
Be all my sins remembered.”

On Viewing Hamlet’s Soliloquy through the Lens of Ascension on Earth

This soliloquy is a favorite of a lot of people, and it is very, very famous. I know that everyone who has read this poem and enjoyed this poem, has their opinion about it. And here I am, about to come up with a totally contrary notion about it!

So for those of you with set opinions, and determined opinions, about what is going on here, I offer my abject apologies. You might want to stop reading right here, so as not to be worried about being aggravated by what I say … For those of you that are into the Ascension process, these comments that I have may apply.

Revenge: The Threat to One’s Own Life and Limb

We have talked a little about acting out, and Hamlet’s dilemma right then, and how, according to the code of his moral conduct, it is important to him to avenge his father’s death. And then, in the soliloquy, he goes on about how dangerous it would be to try something like that …

Here I am a Prince of Denmark, and all … I could lose everything! I could go down into who knows where … a realm of shades? And find myself in a much worse predicament, if I try avenging my father’s death, because somebody might kill me. And as I recall, that is sort of what happened; he lost his life at the end of the story.

Revenge: How it Creates a Karmic Timeline Loop, as Does Every Instance of ‘Acting Out’ Our Soul Wounding

So what he did was, he decided to act out. And in the context of Ascension, a lot of people are acting out vengeance and revenge. And I would just like to say about that, something that I found out about timelines and revenge, is that when some suitable revenge-worthy thing happens to us, then if we do not dwell on that revengeful thing, then as to timelines what happens is we temporally cycle back, in the fourth dimension, to that emotional state that we were in when we discovered that revenge-worthy thing.

How Karmic Timeline Loops Prevent Us From Experiencing the Majesty of Our Multidimensionality

So, every time we think of something that really irks us like that, and feel that we should act out, we move back on our timeline … in the fourth dimension … to the time and place where the original Soul wounding occurred. So there are no multidimensional possibilities there, because we are stuck on one timeline.

We cannot move forward on our own timeline, because we keep cycling back to the old thing.

We cannot switch to a different timeline, because our minds are completely set on the need for an ‘acting-out’ action in the current timeline. We cannot switch to a different dimension either: We are stuck in the current dimension.

Hamlet’s Mind: The Time-and-Space Trap

So our minds are trapping us … as Hamlet’s mind was trapped … in a time-and-space trap. So that is the big argument against vengeance, is that in order to be free … in order to recognize our multidimensional majesty … we have to set aside vengeance. We have to set aside blame. And instead, to forgive. We have to forgive, no matter what.

How the Act of Forgiveness on Our Part Frees Up Our Multidimensional Majesty

No matter how outrageous the thing that has been done to us, we have to forgive. And what that forgiveness does is, it frees up our own majesty. It is not a question of being nice to somebody else; it is a question of healing our own heart, and allowing ourselves to step into that majesty.

What Happens If We ‘Act Out’ and Lose Our Bodies in the Process?

So now, on to that second question here. The question that Hamlet brings up is: What if I do decide to act out, and then the consequences are that I myself … my own body is lost in the process. Who knows what horrible things might happen to me? he says. if I have lost my body. I just do not know.

Well, I am here to tell you … I would tell Hamlet if he were here today … that what will happen is that your Divine Awareness, your truth of reality … that part of you which is the spark of Divinity … will be freed from this dimension, and proceed into the fourth dimension.

Ascension Process Continues to Take Place for Souls in the Fourth Dimension

And there, in the fourth dimension, the astral plane it is all happening too. The Ascension process is happening to all the Souls in the fourth dimension, and all the Souls in the third dimension (and all the other dimensions too).

The Karmic Reboot into the Third Dimension

Very soon after your death … if you are with the vast majority of people … you will be booted back out into the third dimension, if that is your choice. Most people choose that.

The Importance to Humankind of Our Doing Our Best to Retain Physical Form

I know there is a lot of acting out these days, and there is a lot of concern about retaining physical form, and rightly so. Because by keeping ourselves anchored on Earth, keeping our boots on the Earth, keeping our feet on the ground, and feeling our hearts, and living our loves in joy and harmony with all that is, we can help Earth to fulfill her destiny. And many people do choose that.

On Setting Aside Our Fears and Placing Awareness on Our Hearts

But even if something catastrophic happens, even if we act out; even if we ‘drop form’, as they say, the potential still exists to participate in the Ascension process.

So the main thing, right now, is to set aside our fears about death and killing and so forth. and instead set our minds, our Awareness, on our hearts. To feel appreciation and gratitude every day for something.

On Turning from Fear and Learning to Shift Timelines and Dimensions

Every minute that fear comes up, we can turn from fear. And in fact, you have the tools right now, to shift timelines whenever a fearful thing comes up, or to shift dimensions. Just understand that you are not trapped in your mind.

Language of Light Tools to Attain ‘Cosmic Mind’ and Repair Our DNA

Your mind is just one tiny aspect of you … the tiniest … the one that is trapped in time and space … until you download ‘cosmic mind’ … or begin your DNA repair process. You can go to Judy Satori’s website … that is www.judysatori.com … She is terrific. But I have to warn you that her activations of Light are extremely powerful. So if you decide to undertake them, set aside some free time for yourself: A long weekend, you know?

Then, I suggest, you might want to explore these activations of Light by Judy Satori: mind power expansionalpha centauri … and DNA repair

On Being Kind to Ourselves from Moment to Moment

Time to just relax and enjoy life.  Sit in the sun. Get plenty of rest. And drink lots of water. And then it will go very smoothly for you.

So, no acting out! Do not worry if a friend of yours actually tries the “Hamlet” routine, you know? That person will be ok. That Soul will be all right.

And for the rest of you, hang in there! This is a wonderful time you have chosen to be alive. So hang in there. You are doing great. Love to everybody.

For those of you that love “Hamlet,” please excuse my lack of elocution.

Getting Out of Karmic Timeline Loops: Activations of Light to Shift Timelines and Optimize Dimensional Awareness

So here are the tools for shifting timelines and optimizing dimensional Awareness. These activations of Light will get you out of karmic ‘timeline ‘loops’. In case you have not read about it yet, there are two activations of Light for this purpose

Activation of Light to Optimize Timelines. Here is the first one, to optimize timelines … You say:

Spirit to Team!
Optimize timelines!
For the All, through Free Will!

Activation of Light to Optimize Dimensional Awareness. And here is the second one. This is to optimize your dimensional Awareness; you say …

Spirit to Team!
Optimize dimensional awareness!
For the All, through Free Will!

So now you know!

In love, light and joy,
I Am of the Stars

My Designer . a poem by Alice B. Clagett

Published on 9 October 2017

Dear Ones,

Here is a mystical poem I wrote some years ago …

MY DESIGNER

The light of a thousand thousand suns cannot describe
that home from which I come
and to which I go,

from which this worldly house is but
one night’s lodging.

He who designed that home fashioned as well
the call of the sparrow,
the keen of the hawk,
the wind on which they ride

dewdrops, raindrops, rivers and seas

joy in the morning,
that sweet pain at the setting of the sun

rocks, and those which dwell therein,
amethysts, rubies, emeralds and pearls

all the green and growing things,
blood, bones, and the sparkling stream of thought
that moves them

And the very Designer who made all these
has made me so very rich, indeed

That all there was, and all there is,
and all there ever shall be

Abides right here, beneath my palm
in the very heart of hearts
of me.

SUMMARY OF THE VIDEO

Hello, Dear Ones, It’s Alice.

I had a poem to read for you, called “If–“, by Rudyard Kipling. And I had a quick story to tell you about it before I speak the poem …

Alice’s High School Story

When I was in high school, I was in a Latin class, and the teacher there used to make us memorize a portion of this poem. And when things got rough in class, she would take her ruler, and she would wave it in the air, and she would recite part of the poem “If–“, by Rudyard Kipling. [laughs]

She was a pretty cool lady. She taught me a lot of Latin. And right before she was going on a trip to Italy, she taught us all Italian for a couple of weeks, just to get ready. [laughs] We didn’t learn much Italian, but we learned a lot of Latin.

And with that in mind, here’s the poem:

“IF–“
by Rudyard Kipling … public domain (1)

“If you can keep your head when all about you
Are losing theirs and blaming it on you,
If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you,
But make allowance for their doubting too;
If you can wait and not be tired by waiting,
Or being lied about, don’t deal in lies,
Or being hated, don’t give way to hating,
And yet don’t look too good, nor talk too wise:

“If you can dream—and not make dreams your master;
If you can think—and not make thoughts your aim;
If you can meet with Triumph and Disaster
And treat those two impostors just the same;
If you can bear to hear the truth you’ve spoken
Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools,
Or watch the things you gave your life to, broken,
And stoop and build ’em up with worn-out tools:

“If you can make one heap of all your winnings
And risk it on one turn of pitch-and-toss,
And lose, and start again at your beginnings
And never breathe a word about your loss;
If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew
To serve your turn long after they are gone,
And so hold on when there is nothing in you
Except the Will which says to them: ‘Hold on!’

“If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue,
Or walk with Kings—nor lose the common touch,
If neither foes nor loving friends can hurt you,
If all men count with you, but none too much;
If you can fill the unforgiving minute
With sixty seconds’ worth of distance run,
Yours is the Earth and everything that’s in it,
And—which is more—you’ll be a Man, my son!”

In love, light and joy,
I Am of the Stars

The Rage the Body Feels
A Poem by Alice B. Clagett
7 November 2014

All day long
the mind of the world
buggy-whips
the wild stallions
of the emotions
of humanity…

Apparently
in hopes that they will
morph into
carriage mares.

You’re too fat!
you’re too thin!
you’re too old!
you’re too young!

You’re too cranky!
you’re too lusty!
you’re too shy!
you’re too holy!

You don’t suit
the true me
in the nariest,
not in the least…

And so…

wheeling and kicking
my human feelings learn
that they can be
much
much
meaner

Each little tiff
surlies down
into my body cells …
fit to rape and maim
fit to kill

Fit to be untied
fit to be free
fit to be loved
as they love me

Purely, simply, right on,
in my face, deep down, bone deep
is the love of my cells
my deeply feeling body cells
for me.

….

In love, light and joy,
I Am of the Stars

"Come, Said My Soul" . a poem by Walt Whitman . referral by Alice B. Clagett

Referred on 11 November 2013; revised

Dear Ones,

Here are words of a kindred Soul …

“Come, said my Soul
Such verses for my Body let us write, (for we are one,)
That should I after death invisibly return,
Or, long, long hence, in other spheres,
There to some group of mates the chants resuming,
(Tallying Earth’s soil, trees, winds, tumultuous waves,)
Ever with pleas’d smiles I may keep on,
Ever and ever yet the verses owning — as, first, I here and now,
Signing for Soul and Body, set to them my name, …”

Hello, Dear Ones, It’s Alice. I Am of the Stars.

Here is a short rhyme about the hateful heart …

“The Hateful Heart”
A Poem by Alice B. Clagett
Soundtrack and Words
24 November 2016

The hateful heart needs no consoling
As it’s always patrolling …
Looking for someone to love it,
Though it has no love to give. It
Prowls Earth like velociraptor,
Looking for love ‘ever after’.
When it finds it, it will eat it!
Then, looking for another sweet, it
Moans and groans,
Until it owns:
There is no love,
Unless you feed it!

….

In love, light and joy,
I Am of the Stars

Dear Ones,

This video is about the drowning of a child in the Pacific Ocean a while ago, about death, reincarnation, and God’s plan. There is an edited Summary after the video …

VIDEO BY ALICE

SUMMARY OF THE VIDEO

Hello, Dear Ones, It’s Alice. I Am of the Stars.

I hope you can hear me over the din of the tide here … the great Pacific Ocean. I have a short story for you. It happened today …

. . . . .

On the Drowning of a Child
A Poem by Alice B. Clagett
20 July 2016

A little girl died at the beach today.
It was surf camp.
The tide came in
and the children went out
and she got caught
in the undertow.

The paramedics and the ambulances
and the helicopters came.
They found the body.

The tide came in
and the tide went out.
This is what life is all about.

When things like this happen
folks tend to say:

It was the fault of the surfing school.
It was the fault of the mother and father.
It was the fault of the sand and the ocean.
It was the fault of something!

But the truth of the matter is
When the call comes
the call comes
and there’s always something wonderful
waiting in the wings

Here on earth
sitting on the sand on the beach
waiting for the tide to come in
and the tide to go out

We don’t know
what the great Plan is
But the tide that goes out
will come back in.

Blessings!
Blessings of love and Light to this child’s Soul,
and to her family, and to those who ran the surf school,
and to those who came to help, and did their best.

. . . . .

[Then there is a short videoclip of a raven walking along the beach, and flying off]

In love, light and joy,
I Am of the Stars

HIROSHIMA
A Poem by Alice B. Clagett
17 July 2016

This poem is entirely fictional.

There’s a man I’ve known
for over 30 years

His wife died recently
and he’s a great healer

so I went for a healing session

He ended quickly,
and shooed me away
because of the many
strands of darkness
wafting round
nearby

He loved me all these years
… of course, not like his wife …
but like the great yogi that I was
and because of the greatness of
his yearning
to know God

Push came to shove
and he surveyed the scene

Said, I want a woman with more up here!
and he found one

. . . .

Shi
is a Japanese word
oft avoided as
the sound shi
has two meanings …

し  four  . . . .  死  death

On those islands
people say yon instead
like the Hindu word yoni
woman part
not shi

. . . .

I heard of a couple:
She’s Caucasian, he’s Chinese-Japanese

He’s a Hiroshima survivor

It was morning.
Mr Sun was begging him
to open up his sleepy little eyes
but he wouldn’t

He was four years old
four miles from ground zero

His mom was napping too
although he didn’t know it
her clothing all awry in the hot, wet
August air

He pulled the covers up
over his head
Goodbye, Sun!

After the flash
his mother came to pick him up
touching his flailing heart
to her own

She lived four more days

For a time
that seemed endless
no one came to rescue him

After a while
he began to eat
little parts of her

Why? someone said
why did you do that?

Because, he said,
I was hungry

When he was found
covered with ash
pale with the sort of terror
few feel
they tried to wash him

The water
he says
felt like fire

Since then
every time he bathes
he remembers the bomb
and the loss of her
and how he had to eat her

He came to the States because
he supposed
no one would bomb him there

He married a woman
too good for him, he felt
and her family felt that too

No one likes mongrels,
he says,
in the place that he came from

This woman of his
is just about perfect
except down there, so

When his neighbor’s wife
goes for her afternoon swim
He places a camera
on the wall
that divides
their properties

And records her derrière

Then he takes it
off the wall, and goes inside
and blows the picture up
and tapes it on his wife right there

and they make love.

. . . . .

Here on Earth
men are settled
with the parts business

for lack of the jingle
to captcha

that awesome auto
sold downtown

. . . . .

Yet
we women are, altogether
otherly

We are those
who tempt their Souls
to show up here
in the first place, yes?

gizmo by gizmo
preassembled

all the necessary
parts included

and

we bear them
to their Souls as well

clutching their wailing hearts
to our own

in the rose evenings
of this stone city

. . . . .

Hello, Dear Ones, It’s Alice. I Am of the Stars.

I am here at Four Corners … I do not know which of the four states I am sitting in right now. I had a very short poem for you that I wrote the other day. It goes like this …

“I Am That Am”
A Poem by Alice B. Clagett
Soundtrack and Words
6 April 2016

I Am That Am,
I Am All that is,
I Am that Eternal Bliss …

I find the best time to do this prayer is just before getting up in the morning, and to just concentrate Awareness on the heart while feeling or stating or imagining this prayer over and over again.

BLESSINGS OF THE NOONTIME SUN
A Vision by Alice B. Clagett
10 March 2016

Blessings of the noontime sun
To the tribes of earthbound ones.

Bless, thou legions of the light,
Bless the armies of the night.

Blessings of love,
Blessings of light,
Blessings of joy to the earthbound ones.

Greetings of hearts open wide
To those whose great delight is pride.

Greetings of deepest joy
To those of skillful ploy.

Oh my dearest sons of man,
Let us greet that other band
with hope, and faith, and love of God …
Tho their feet be oddly shod.

Blessings of the noontime sun
To the tribes of earthbound ones.

Greetings to Michael of the Earth,
Remembering his noble birth,
Soon soon free to find his place
Among that Archangelic race.

Dear Ones,

THE TOWHEE
A Poem by Alice B. Clagett
18 February 2012

What would it be like
to tuck my head into my wing
as the sun furled in?

I, with no glimmer of the coming dawn,
and not one care.

DEFINING MOMENTS

Link: “Leap … and Let the Miracles Begin,” by Ashana, September 2011 … https://www.soundofashana.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/06/Ashana_Leap_Say_Yes_Sept_2011_Evolving.pdf ..

ON FAITH

Henry David Thoreau

“How vigilant we are! determined not to live by faith if we can avoid it; all the day long on the alert, at night we unwillingly say our prayers and commit ourselves to uncertainties. So thoroughly and sincerely are we compelled to live, reverencing our life, and denying the possibility of change. This is the only way, we say; but there are as many ways as there can be drawn radii from one centre. All change is a miracle to contemplate; but it is a miracle which is taking place every instant.” –From Citation: “Walden,” by Henry David Thoreau, public domain

Edward Teller

Here is Edward Teller’s quote on faith … http://www.quotesvalley.com/images/66/when-you-get-to-the-end-of-all-the-light-you-know.jpg ..

ON DESPAIR AND HOPE

Sometimes it seems like the path to the new reality leads through the valley of despair. Sometimes ‘letting go’ takes this form — despair. What is needed to carry us through this creative act of despair? Hope. Faith. Gratitude. Forgiveness. These are the only companions we will need. As King David wrote long ago …

Psalm 23 (KJV, public domain)

23 “The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.

2 “He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.

3 “He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.

4 “Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.

5 “Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.

6 “Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.”

In love, light and joy,
I Am of the Stars

SUMMARY OF THE VIDEO

Hello, Dear Ones, It’s Alice. I Am of the Stars.

I have a short story …

The use of the word ‘opium’ herein
is allegorical rather than literal …

Opium Dreams and Sunlit Lakes
A Poem by Alice B. Clagett
from her early works

“I know a place
Where opium oozes down a mountainside
Into a little lake,
And turns the sparkling waters
To a leaden sleep.
And then when daylight sends
The bloom of dawn to all the Earth,
That lake sleeps on, and never knows
The joy of sunlit happiness.

“I know another lake
Tucked into the mountains
Of a far off land,
Where sunlight
Ambles down the mountainsides
And dips its brilliant light
Into the tiny waves.

“And all night long,
When people are asleep,
That lake limns
The farther stars
Into their dreamtime hearts.

“So the question is:
Which lake will I pick
To sit by today?”

EVIL
a poem by Alice B. Clagett

Like the shadow of the buckwheat flower,
laid black across that granite boulder there,
Evil only seems to be
some THING.
Truth to tell,
it is only
a little less sunlight.

SUMMARY OF THE VIDEO

Dear Ones,

Hello, Dear Ones, It’s Alice.

I would like to talk a little about the energy of the human heart. I was just sitting here thinking about it. I will try to repeat what I was thinking …

The Human Heart
A poem by Alice B. Clagett
9 May 2015

The human heart,
it’s not like in the pictures …

It’s more like the wind.

It’s like when the sun rises, and the sun sets.
Or the moon rises, and the moon sets …
and sometimes waxes, and sometimes wanes.

It’s like birth …
and death and rebirth …
and death and rebirth …
and death.

It’s like that.

It moves in and out
and as it moves in and out,
as we feel it moving in and out,

it organizes
and crystallizes
the energy of all the other chakras….

The action of the mind,
which ceaselessly divides,
and labels and classifies,
and judges,
and criticizes …

like a tide of water in a bay,
it rolls over all that,
smoothes it out,
makes it just one small part
of all that we are

and as the heart’s energy
rolls outward in every direction
it smoothes out all the energy
of the vital body

leaving us with
that tide
that pull
that glad return
that joyous surge
of being

Dear Ones,

I feel that Lilith may be an archetypal image of the deep subconscious mind of humankind. Here are some interesting images and a referral to a poem about this …

Lady Lilith is an oil painting by Dante Gabriel Rossetti first painted in 1866–68 using his mistress Fanny Cornforth as the model, then altered in 1872–73 to show the face of Alexa Wilding. The subject is Lilith, who was, according to ancient Judaic myth, ‘the first wife of Adam’ and is associated with the seduction of men and the murder of children. She is shown as a ‘powerful and evil temptress’ and as ‘an iconic, Amazon-like female with long, flowing hair.’ –from Link: “Lady Lilith,” in English Wikipedia … http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lady_Lilith … CC-BY-SA 3.0

Dear Ones,

EARTH IS PASSING INTO THE FEELING WORLD (THE FOURTH DIMENSION, THE ASTRAL PLANE)

As you may know, Earth is now passing into 4D, the astral plane, sometimes called ‘the feeling world.’ Actually, it is not that we are passing into this dimension … rather that our 3D physical reality is expanding to include 4D as well.

To put it in human terms, before the 2012 Shift, sometimes termed Ascension or the Great Awakening, most humans (except for those with the ‘second sense’) experienced physical life on Earth in terms of the input of the five senses … seeing, hearing, tasting, sniffing, and touch.

EXPECTATIONS OF EARTH’S GREAT RELIGIONS REGARDING THE LAST JUDGMENT

Christianity. Now for Christianity, the expectation is that after life on Earth, our Souls experience one of two (Protestantism) or three (Catholicism) states: hell, purgatory or heaven. These are states that exist in the feeling world … 4D, the astral plane.

Judaism. For traditional Judaism, there is expectation of a judgment day, the resurrection of the dead, and the assignment of Souls to one of three categories: heaven, permanent hell, or temporary hell (1).

Islam. Muslims also hold the expectation that there is life after death, and that the Soul will eventually be judged, along with all humankind, and will then experience either heaven or hell. Until that time, deceased Souls, while in the grave, will experience a foretaste of that. (2)

Buddhism and Hinduism. For the Buddhists and the Hindus, the expectation is that, after we passed on, and before our next incarnation, our Souls spend quite an interlude on the astral plane, in school, as it were, for the education of our Souls. Could be 1,000 years of schooling. Then, on to a new incarnation, a new body, and a whole new set of lessons to learn … Earth school.

So for many folks around the world, there is an understanding that the astral plane exists, separate from the physical plane. And also, that it is a state experienced after death.

WE CAN NOW EXPERIENCE THE PHYSICAL WORLD AND THE ASTRAL PLANE SIMULTANEOUSLY

The Shift that happened in 2012 made it possible for humans to experience both 3D and 4D at the same time…. To use the ‘parlance’, the Shift allowed folks to bilocate between these two dimensions. This is a first step in developing our multidimensionality skills.

OUR NEW CLAIR SKILLS

What happens when we bilocate in this way? In addition to our five physical senses, we begin to develop the clair (astral) senses:

  • clairvoyance (astral vision),
  • clairaudience (astral hearing),
  • clairsentience (astral ‘feeling’),
  • clairscent (astral smelling),
  • clairtangency (psychometrics),
  • clairgustance (astral tasting),
  • clairempathy (feeling the emotions of others),
  • channeling (conveying information from the astral realm or a higher dimension), (3) and
  • clairhealing (fractal patterning)
  • clair electromagnetic sensitivity, and many others

So 3D-4D bilocation involves getting used to a whole new set of senses, a whole new way of perceiving reality.

ON ACCEPTING AND INTEGRATING OUR REPRESSED EMOTIONS (OUR ‘DARK BODY’, THE ‘SHADOW OF OUR PERSONALITY’)

In addition, when we bilocate we must integrate our feeling world with our mental world. This involves getting in touch with our repressed emotions. Specifically, the moment we step into 4D awareness, we will encounter the ‘shadow of our personality’ … the ‘Dark Body’ within our Body of Light. Which is to say, the things we have done that we want to forget about … our Soul wounding experiences in this lifetime and in other incarnations, and our emotions that do not meet societal expectations. Here is more on all that:

VIDEO BY ALICE

SUMMARY OF THE VIDEO

Many Women Have Moved into the Fourth Dimension

It seems to me that what has been happening on the astral plane in the last few years in the feeling world … for the emotional bodies of humankind … is that women, in particular, are becoming increasingly sentient on the emotional plane … the fourth dimension.

Many Men, Because of Cultural Expectations Regarding Expressing Their Feelings, Are Just Now Stepping into Awareness of the Fourth Dimension

I can hear men talking in the fourth dimension, but it just seems to me that it is possible that they are existing in that dimension, like women, but not as aware of that dimension, because of societal expectations. So it has been hard for them, because many men are taught that feelings are not masculine. And that is the dimension into which we are expanding right now.

So it is very peculiar for me, hearing all men talking. I can even talk to men, on the astral plane, and they do not even know that it is happening. They are not even aware. And I can talk to women, and some women actually do know that I am talking to them.

And what I find is that, when men wake up to these emotions that they have … maybe when a woman tells them what she hears, or when they start listening and they start hearing, and integrating the fourth dimension into their realms of awareness … then they become just like the women were two years ago: They become very shocked about the whole thing.

When We First Step into the Fourth Dimension, We Encounter Our Deepest, Darkest Secrets

Because what happens is, all of the repressed emotions … all of the things that society does not expect of us … are the things that are jammed down and compressed in the fourth dimension, in the emotional world. And so, as the Light comes in, what is happening is that all of these compressions are getting the old zingo! and coming to Light.

And all of the deepest, darkest secrets of humankind are also coming to the Light. So the one thing that we did wrong in our life … that carries great social opprobrium … that thing is the thing that immediately comes up. And it makes a lot of people say: Oh my gosh! I don’t want to be in this dimension at all!

On Having Faith that Our Faults Will Be Forgiven

Yet that is what we are traveling through right now. It is really where Earth is right now. And so, we are all going to have to notice the things, and let those things go that are totally Dark and secret. We are going to have to let them go.

And we are going to have to have the faith that society will forgive us for our faults … Just as they laud the great, good things that we do for society, they will forgive us all our faults and peccadilloes. As we forgive them. As it says in the Lord’s Prayer: We’re sincerely hoping that God will forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those that trespass against us.

So that is one place we can go for sure; because God will do it! And we can do it, because God does it. And then we can have that stance; it is like that karate stance called ‘horse stance’:

Image: Young girl in ‘horse stance’ … http://visihow.com/images/a/a6/Darla-horse-stance–large-msg-114428266624-2.jpg ..

It is both feet flat on the ground, knees slightly bent, feeling down into Mother Earth. We can have that feeling that we are who we are, and it does not matter about societal expectations.

God loves us. We forgive ourselves. And all is well.

LEVIATHAN
A poem by Alice B. Clagett
22 January 2012

O, we are all deep sea divers
and at night we ride the whale,
who churns and turns our dream-time hearts
with the strength of his mighty tale.

When morning comes, we stretch and yawn,
and walk to the window sill,
with nary a thought of those deep sea dreams
or the whale that we’re riding still.

All the sad, bad tales of our childhood woes
sink down into the deep,
and the length and breadth of our grown-up lives
are the size of the secrets we keep.

. . . . .

In love, light and joy,
I Am of the Stars

VIDEO BY ALICE

SUMMARY OF THE VIDEO

This is Alice, Dear Ones.

I have another poem for you, that I wrote years ago for my father, who was in World War II, and saw some difficult action on D-Day, on the beach of Normandy.

Years ago, I was driving to work every day, through the Veterans Administration grounds in Los Angeles, because there were so many beautiful trees, and so much green grass there. No stoplights. It was great. So, one day I stopped, while driving to work, and I wrote this poem about the VA Grounds, and the veterans there. It is a poem for my father …

“For Our Fathers”
A Poem on War by Alice B. Clagett
Soundtrack and Words
May 2004

At first light, on the laid-back VA grounds —
. . . . . a land of not so well clipped lawns,
. . . . . and blooming jacaranda trees
. . . . . and blousy buildings, sprouted long before
. . . . . . . . . . the first computer cast its eerie glow
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . upon the shadow that had been our history —

Old men wait for the bus, unmoored
. . . . . from the stale sameness of the working day, and
. . . . . all adrift in that sour sea we call ‘retirement’.

These are the once-sung heroes
. . . . . of the ancient wars,
. . . . . who fought for freedom on unfriendly shores

. . . . . and who, returning, found
. . . . . . . . . . no peace of mind
. . . . . . . . . . in a far too civil union,

. . . . . who wake, each night,
. . . . . . . . . . dreaming atrocities
. . . . . . . . . . dreaming the sloe-eyed death
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . of their personal dreams
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . on the altar of our nation.

Now here they sit,
. . . . . this one nearly blind,
. . . . . and that one racked by gout,
. . . . . another, legless,
. . . . . . . . . . wielding his wheelchair like a Grand Prix pro

Each offering his friends the sweetest gift —
. . . . . a cheerful countenance
. . . . . to brave the gathering storm —

. . . . . and hoping, in his heart, that he may be
. . . . . . . . . . finally on his way home
. . . . . . . . . . to a land of perfect freedom.

SUMMARY OF THE VIDEO

Hello, Dear Ones, It’s Alice.

I have another poem for you, from years ago. It is called “Deliverance.” I wrote this poem on Santa Monica Beach. It was close to sunset, and I was watching a sailboat, far off on the horizon, going off towards the setting sun. Here is the poem …

“Deliverance”
A Poem by Alice B. Clagett
Soundtrack and Words
June 2003

On a grey day by a grey sea
As the tide flees this steady shore,

Two children —
altogether mindless of Monday
and the grim anguish of their parents,
Greet white-capped waves with ecstasy

And far away, a three-sailed bark,
Poised on the edge of sky and sea
Slips silent into mystery.

Who stands before the mast?
Is it the shadow of the man?
Or does this brim-full heart,
holding his hand,
Chart a sure course by some forgotten star
To bring him home again?

Dear Ones,

These days, what with the Incoming Light and the M-class solar flares, there is a lot of subconscious cleansing and Soul clearing going on here on Earth. Also clearing from the noosphere, and from the collective consciousness of humankind, are deep cellular memories, including memories of instinctual primate behavior (a topic well worth a thoughtful glance at this moment) …

This can lead to troubled sleep, even nightmares sometimes, as the clearing process can quite naturally increase our physical, mental and emotional stress, often without our even noticing it, and give rise to a low-level feeling of anxiety.

At least, I have found that to be so. I thought I would offer you a poem I wrote some time ago, on the topic of dreaming, and how conscious awareness of our dreams can help in the clearing process.

Here is a poem I wrote recently about the dream world. The Postlude features the music of Chris Zabriskie and scenes from Pastorius Reservoir in Colorado.

After the video is a Summary.

SUMMARY OF THE VIDEO

Hello, It’s Alice. I have another poem for you, one that I wrote a few years back, called “Leviathan.” ‘Leviathan’ is a term that is rarely used these days …

[Looks to the right.] Those are the wild ducks. They are flying to wherever they fly in the fall; they are heading off.

‘Leviathan’ is a term that means a couple of things; one is ‘whale’, and the other, that I know of, is ‘sea monster’. “Leviathan” … That is the title. It goes like this …

Hello, Dear Ones, It’s Alice.

I thought I would read Shakespeare’s Sonnet 116 today. It is very famous. The first line is “Let me not to the marriage of true minds.” And it has to do with constancy in love, beyond appearances, and into the depths of truth in relationships. I have always liked this one very much …

“Sonnet 116,” by William Shakespeare

“Let me not to the marriage of true minds
Admit impediments. Love is not love
Which alters when it alteration finds,
Or bends with the remover to remove.
O no! it is an ever-fixed mark
That looks on tempests and is never shaken;
It is the star to every wand’ring bark,
Whose worth’s unknown, although his height be taken.
Love’s not Time’s fool, though rosy lips and cheeks
Within his bending sickle’s compass come;
Love alters not with his brief hours and weeks,
But bears it out even to the edge of doom.
If this be error and upon me prov’d,
I never writ, nor no man ever lov’d.”

Commentary: Shakespeare, the Man and Not the Myth

What is this poem about, really? What gave rise to this poem? I have my own ideas, naturally; and I thought I would share them with you.

The first two lines say: “Let me not to the marriage of true minds / Admit impediments.” The speaker, which may be the author, or might be someone that he wrote this poem for, is not the person who is married. He is saying, he does not want to get in the way of marriage of true minds.

So this person … probably Shakespeare, who wrote the poem … has made advances to a lady, who holds her marriage in very high esteem. And this letter that he is writing … this beautiful sonnet … is his way of apologizing for what he has done.

Speaking from her point of view now, he says: “Love is not love / Which alters when it alteration finds, / Or bends with the remover to remove.” Now, so, he may have chanced upon a lady whose husband loved her once, but whose looks are not as fresh as they were when they were first married. And he is now speaking about that husband. He is saying: If her husband does not love her now, because her looks have changed, then his love is not true.

So I gather from this that this sonnet first apologizes, then attempts to ingratiate, I would say, by holding this husband of this lady who remains constant, up to some standard of improvement.

I do not know if you will ever find anybody else who agrees with this explanation, but I like it very much. Now, as to the term “… Or bends with the remover to remove.” … Could it be that this husband has removed himself from the wife, and she refuses to remove herself from that vow that she took?

And then he goes on. He says: O no! it [this love] is an ever-fixed mark / That looks on tempests and is never shaken; …” And this is a nautical term, at least according to one of the references I have read. (1)

It could be a reference to the polestar that navigators of those times used when crossing the oceans, so as to know where they were. (1) … The polestar, for navigators in the Northern Hemisphere, never changes position.

They had an instrument, a sextant, used to determine latitude by measuring the angle between the horizon and either the polestar (that is, the North Star) or the Sun at noon. They could use that instrument to measure and judge where they were.

And that thought is carried out by the next two lines, which have a double meaning; there is a double entendre there. And these lines are: It [love] is the star to every wand’ring bark, [a barque is a boat; the homonym bark may be a playful reference to the poet’s voice]Whose worth’s unknown, although his height be taken.”

So there is your polestar, and the boat (the barque) is wandering on the ocean, and the mariner takes the height (thus judging the angle) of the polestar with his instrument, but never knows what the polestar truly is. So there is your navigational reference.

But there is another meaning here: “every wandering bark” … Let’s say this is Shakespeare. He did write quite a few love poems, did he not? Maybe he had a wandering eye. Maybe he was a man about town … as much so as possible; insofar as possible. So he is the wandering bark, and he is the wandering barque, “Whose worth’s unknown, although his height be taken.”

Well … he might have been a tall man, do you not think? OR ‘his height’ may mean ‘his lofty stature’, his fame far and wide as a great poet and playwright. And it could be that this behavior of his … this wandering eye that he had … is something that he does not think is such a good thing. Or maybe the lady does not think it is such a good thing.

And maybe these two lines are just his attempt to speak lowly of himself, to hold himself in lower esteem, so that she will think more highly of him. Maybe this poem is a second attempt.

So now, let’s say, he may be thinking he might step in there where the husband is failing. So he says:Love’s not Time’s fool, though rosy lips and cheeks / Within his bending sickle’s compass come; …” So, maybe she doesn’t look quite as fresh. But love is not like that, not given to superficial values; so maybe he is the man to provide it?

In the next few lines, Love alters not with his brief hours and weeks, / But bears it out even to the edge of doom….” he attempts to draw her feeling about how love should be constant into his own understanding of how love might be. Now this might not be his understanding, but he is still trying to row with the lady in the same direction.

These two lines are like when two horses are running in the field, in slightly different directions, and then they turn, or ‘wheel’ together, and begin to run side by side in the same direction. That is the intention of these two verses. They are what you might call an attempt to turn the lady of his affection to the true marriage of the minds that he has in mind; of course, it is quite likely it is not minds he is thinking about!

The last two lines,If this be error and upon me prov’d, / I never writ, nor no man ever lov’d.” also have a double meaning.

The first phrase “If this be error and upon me prov’d,…” might mean Shakespeare feels he is too cunning, too quick with his wit to be proven wrong. Or it might be a double seal on the statement that his love is definitely true.

The next few words, “I never writ,” give the reader pause, considering today’s controversy over the authorship of the sonnets.

And the last few words, “…nor no man ever lov’d.” might refer to true love or perhaps to physical desire.

In love, light and joy,
I Am of the Stars

Dear Ones,

Here I have read a lovely poem, “She Walks in Beauty,” by the great Romantic poet George Gordon, Lord Byron. I like that it associates feminine beauty with good character.

There are also some nature photos, mostly taken around sunset, and the beautiful instrumental song “Cylinder Four” from the album “Cylinders” by Chris Zabriskie, CC BY 4.0

SUMMARY OF THE VIDEO

“She Walks in Beauty”
A poem by George Gordon, Lord Byron
Tead by Alice B. Clagett on 17 September 2014

“She walks in beauty, like the night
Of cloudless climes and starry skies;
And all that’s best of dark and bright
Meet in her aspect and her eyes:
Thus mellow’d to that tender light
Which heaven to gaudy day denies.

“One shade the more, one ray the less,
Had half impair’d the nameless grace
Which waves in every raven tress,
Or softly lightens o’er her face;
Where thoughts serenely sweet express
How pure, how dear their dwelling-place.

“And on that cheek, and o’er that brow,
So soft, so calm, yet eloquent,
The smiles that win, the tints that glow,
But tell of days in goodness spent,
A mind at peace with all below,
A heart whose love is innocent.” –public domain

Dear Ones,

INTRODUCTION

I just woke up thinking about a Mystical Poetry Celebration I facilitated at The Onion … http://sepulvedauu.org/ … in North Hills, Los Angeles, California, a few years ago. It somehow seemed relevant today, so here it is.

In love, light and joy,
I Am of the Stars

Image: Seagulls landing on a bridge in the blue sky, with white clouds … https://s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com/736x/33/7d/4e/337d4ee83193a115c3b57fcb31228d16.jpg  ..

What is Mysticism?

Mysticism is immediate consciousness of the transcendent or ultimate reality.

WAYS TO EXPERIENCE MYSTICISM

Slowing the Mind

  • Meditation
  • Repeating a mantra (a sacred sound or word)
  • Gazing at a mandala (sacred art that induces a meditative state)

Concentrating on the Body Instead of the Mind

  • Dance, such as: Sufi whirling and Dances of Universal Peace (1)
  • Walking in a maze or labyrinth
  • Walking in a circle

Extraordinary Sensory and Emotional Experiences

  • Extreme pain, such as mortification of the flesh
  • White tantric yoga (kundalini risen, which I feel to be a good choice for many healthy, spiritual people)
  • Black tantric yoga (reverse kundalini, which I strongly advise against)
  • Red tantric yoga (sexual union in a sacred context)
  • Use of such psychoactive substances … LSD, peyote, etc (Caveat: This can cause ‘bad trips’ and contact with negative astral entities.)
  • Neurophysiologic disturbances … profound depression, schizophrenia, or stroke
  • Near-death-experience

Bringing Up the Emotions of Gratitude, Appreciation, or Divine Love

  • Affirmations of gratitude or appreciation – giving thanks
  • Heartfelt prayer, spirit-filled religious services,
  • Devotional chanting (bhakti yoga)
  • Spiritual music, hymns
  • Reading mystical poetry

EVERY MAJOR RELIGION HAS ITS MYSTICS

These are just a few examples:

  • Christianity and Sufism … “God Is Love”
  • Kabbalah … Judaism … “… To love the LORD your God, to walk in all his ways, and to cleave unto him …” –Deuteronomy 11: 22 (KJV, public domain) … This is devekut, or communion with God
  • Hinduism … “Atman is Brahman” (i.e., the individual Soul is the cosmic Soul)
  • American Sikhism, quote by Yogi Bhajan on the oneness of a person with God:
Link: “God and Me, Me and God Are One,” mantra, downloads, and CDs, at SpiritVoyage,  https://www.spiritvoyage.com/mantra/god-and-me,-me-and-god,-are-one/man-000041.aspx ..
This concept is sometimes termed advaita, nonduality, or ‘God indwelling’ or ‘God immanent
  • Zen … haiku (short poems that can bring one to experience of the present moment) and koan (riddles that baffle the mind)

WHY IS MYSTICISM SO ALL-PERVADING?

The Mystical Mind

In 1999, Eugene d’Aquili and Andrew Newberg wrote a book in which they demonstrated that God is generated by and generates the brain (2,3) …

Citation: “The Mystical Mind: Probing the Biology of Religious Experience,” by Eugene d’Aquili and Andrew Newberg, 1999

If this is true, then it follows that the mystical experience is inherent in brain chemistry.

Now, the doubter in us might propose that any experience based on brain chemistry is suspect, might he not? But on what basis might he make that assumption? On the basis of sense perceptions?

Sense perceptions are also based on brain chemistry, and so, our doubter must posit, they are also suspect. More suspect, I might suppose, than the mystical experience, since many subjective interpretations may be put upon sense perceptions, and all mystical experiences are remarkably similar.

A person determined to experience ‘things as they are’ will find sense perceptions often mislead … they severely limit the data that come to us from the universe. What about the mystical experience? Could it be an experience of reality at the quantum physics level? At the level of the most basic subatomic particles?

If, in fact, the mystical experience holds greater scientific validity than sense perceptions, then the question becomes, how to have this mystical experience, how to experience reality as it is, and not through the filter of the senses.

Mental Intelligence versus Universal Intelligence

In autumn, starlings flock and dance together at nightfall in the skies above England and Scotland. These dancing clouds of starlings are called murmurations and their complex dance patterns, performed, as it seems, of ‘one mind’ are like aerial ballet in their precision.

In the video clip below, the starlings are the tiny black specks in the sky …

Video: “Murmuration” by Sophie Windsor Clive and Liberty Smith, Facebook: Islands and Rivers … https://vimeo.com/31158841 ..

Why do they do it? How do they do it? It is not like they have been having practice sessions together. It is not like they are all that intelligent. Why do they not bump into each other in mid-air?

There is a theory that we have been looking at the starlings for intelligence, and we have been looking in the wrong place … intelligence is all around us … in the air …

Video: “Intelligent Air,” by conferencereport, 24 April 2009 … http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GoIIUB3irys ..

… or so the theory goes. We (birds, people) are the end-receptors, so to speak, of universal intelligence. (4)

All we have to do is open ourselves to it and let it in. What if we do not? Well, then we will be stuck with the limited intelligence stored in our personal minds. We will not get to stand in the doorway to unlimited intelligence, the doorway to All That Is. The key to that door is found through the practice of mysticism.

SWARM BEHAVIOR

Scientists call what the starlings do ‘swarm behavior’. Two-dimensional computer simulations have been made showing this behavior.

The second and last video clip is just such a computer simulation. As you watch this video, imagine that you yourself exist as points of light … in quantum physical terms, as a ‘swarm’ consisting of tiny bundles of subatomic energy. Imagine that the edges of the screen represent time and space …

Video: “Swarm Simulation,” by flight404 … https://vimeo.com/11704967 ..

What would happen if there were no edges on the screen of our minds? What would happen to the points of Light that represent our awareness?

Could These Notions Be True?

  • God is generated by and generates the brain.
  • The mystical experience is more valid than sense perceptions.
  • Unlimited intelligence pours into our limited human form from the air, from water, and some say, from the solar winds, from the Universe. As the song goes, “Love is in the air!” All we have to do is perceive it.
  • And finally: We exist as points of Light. Our awareness is compressed by our concept of time and space into a four-dimensional reality (length, width, breadth, and time). This time-and-space limitation is a mental concept only; not reality. What is reality, then?

PRAYER FOR MYSTIC INSPIRATION
by Alice B. Clagett

May the love that the great mystics felt
touch the hearts of each of us.
May each of us know the wisdom that they knew.
As we go about our lives, may that love and wisdom
touch and transform the hearts of all we meet.prayer

William Blake on Following the Heart with Regard to Romantic Love . with comments by Alice B. Clagett

Dear Ones,

I have some historical information on William Blake, as well as a painting and a poem of his that are relevant. There is also a brief discussion of his stance at the end of the blog:

THE 19TH CENTURY ‘FREE LOVE’ MOVEMENT

“[William] Blake was critical of the marriage laws of his day, and generally railed against traditional Christian notions of chastity as a virtue.[73] At a time of tremendous strain in his marriage, in part due to Catherine’s apparent inability to bear children, he directly advocated bringing a second wife into the house.[74] His poetry suggests that external demands for marital fidelity reduce love to mere duty rather than authentic affection, and decries jealousy and egotism as a motive for marriage laws. Poems such as “Why should I be bound to thee, O my lovely Myrtle-tree?” and ‘Earth’s Answer’ seem to advocate multiple sexual partners. In his poem ‘London‘ he speaks of ‘the Marriage-Hearse’ plagued by ‘the youthful Harlot’s curse’, the result alternately of false Prudence and/or Harlotry. Visions of the Daughters of Albion is widely (though not universally) read as a tribute to free love since the relationship between Bromion and Oothoon is held together only by laws and not by love. For Blake, law and love are opposed, and he castigates the ‘frozen marriage-bed’.”

“EARTH’S ANSWER”: A POEM BY WILLIAM BLAKE

“Earth raised up her head
From the darkness dread and drear,
Her light fled,
Stony, dread,
And her locks covered with grey despair.

“Prisoned on watery shore,
Starry jealousy does keep my den
Cold and hoar;
Weeping o’er,
I hear the father of the ancient men.

“Selfish father of men!
Cruel, jealous, selfish fear!
Can delight,
Chained in night,
The virgins of youth and morning bear.

“Does spring hide its joy,
When buds and blossoms grow?
Does the sower
Sow by night,
Or the ploughman in darkness plough?

“Break this heavy chain,
That does freeze my bones around!
Selfish, vain,
Eternal bane,
That free love with bondage bound.”

PRACTICAL POLYAMORY VERSUS FREE LOVE: COMMENTS BY ALICE B. CLAGETT

I note that the Free Love movement has brought with it many social ills as well as community health issues; thus there is no easy answer for the question of feeling the heart and following the heart with regard to romantic love.

I note also that Blake’s stepping into the notion of polyamory may have had to do with the issue of child bearing, which was much more important, from a social perspective, in his day than it is now.  Thus his stance might be termed ‘pragmatic polyamory’ rather than free love as it is perceived in today’s context.

Dear Ones,

In the video, I read the poem “The Brook” by Alfred, Lord Tennyson. A Summary follows the video …

SUMMARY OF THE VIDEO

Hello, Dear Ones, It’s Alice.

I’m sitting here on a nice bench. [shows weeds growing by a narrow, fast-flowing river, and trees on the other bank] … I think this river here is called the Los Pinos River, in Colorado. You can hear a little bit of noise from the river, I hope.

Memories of Grandmother Berry

Before I came here, I went to the Library, and I got a copy of a poem by Alfred, Lord Tennyson, which my grandmother used to read to me when I was tiny. And I was just reminded, while I was re-reading this poem, of her voice. And her voice sounded … no matter whether she was laughing … whenever she was talking, it sounded a little bit like tiny, tinkling bells. I never forgot it.

And so, I thought I would dedicate this reading to my Grandmother Berry (my mother’s mother), who passed away many long years ago … And lived a very happy life, and taught a lot of young children how to read poetry.

So this is a poem by Alfred, Lord Tennyson, called “The Brook.” You have to imagine, while I am reading it, that you have an English accent, ok? Here goes …

“I come from haunts of coot and hern,
I make a sudden sally
And sparkle out among the fern,
To bicker down a valley.

“By thirty hills I hurry down,
Or slip between the ridges,
By twenty thorpes, a little town,
And half a hundred bridges.

“Till last by Philip’s farm I flow
To join the brimming river,
For men may come and men may go,
But I go on for ever.

“I chatter over stony ways,
In little sharps and trebles,
I bubble into eddying bays,
I babble on the pebbles.

“With many a curve my banks I fret
By many a field and fallow,
And many a fairy foreland set
With willow-weed and mallow.

“I chatter, chatter, as I flow
To join the brimming river,
For men may come and men may go,
But I go on for ever.

“I wind about, and in and out,
With here a blossom sailing,
And here and there a lusty trout,
And here and there a grayling,

“And here and there a foamy flake
Upon me, as I travel
With many a silvery waterbreak
Above the golden gravel,

“And draw them all along, and flow
To join the brimming river
For men may come and men may go,
But I go on for ever.

“I steal by lawns and grassy plots,
I slide by hazel covers;
I move the sweet forget-me-nots
That grow for happy lovers.

“I slip, I slide, I gloom, I glance,
Among my skimming swallows;
I make the netted sunbeam dance
Against my sandy shallows.

“I murmur under moon and stars
In brambly wildernesses;
I linger by my shingly bars;
I loiter round my cresses;

“And out again I curve and flow
To join the brimming river,
For men may come and men may go,
But I go on for ever.”

. . . . .

Conclusion

Well, that is it, Dear Ones. I am wishing your Soul a chance to go on forever, in joy and love and Light.

That is all I have for you today. Talk to you later.

Dear Ones,

Here is a video of a tree. There is an edited Summary of the video …

SUMMARY OF THE VIDEO

[There are no spoken words in the video. The video starts with the grass beneath the tree, and pans up the tree trunk to the sky above. You can hear a bird singing.]

So, where does the tree stop being a tree? And, what do you hear while watching the video?

What does a tree do, anyway? Does it really anchor Earth to sky? And what is that round blob on the tree limb? Could that be mistletoe?

ON FREEDOM
by Alice B. Clagett
26 April 2013

What gives us freedom? …
Freedom to leave the subconscious scenarios.
Freedom to let go our fixed ideas.
Freedom to feel joy.
Freedom to travel time and space.
Freedom to co-create tomorrow…

The human heart.
Not the mind, mind you.
Just the heart.

In love, light and joy,
I Am of the Stars

Dear Ones,

LOVE BY THE OUNCE
a poem by Alice B. Clagett

We sell our selves down the river by the ounce, not by the pound,
As politicians sell the common good to special interest groups.
Little by little. Principle by principle. Love by tiny hopeful love.
Like a baby crying for its mother
Like a viola longing for a bow
Like the self, fabricating other
As the still stream dreams the raging torrent
As Earth longs for the presence of her children
Like grace, never ending, never known

Dear Ones,

Today’s topic is An End to War …

SHALL WE MAKE WAR ON WAR?
A poem by Alice B. Clagett, 2011

Shall we make war on war?
Or shall we apply the unguent of peace?
A peaceful thought, a peaceful prayer, a peaceful life,
These simple acts,
Like pebbles dropped into a pond,
Spread peaceful ripples everywhere.

LAO-TZU ON AWAKENING HUMANITY

“If you want to awaken all of humanity,
then awaken all of yourself.
If you want to eliminate the suffering in the world,
then eliminate all that is dark and negative in yourself.
Truly, the greatest gift you have to give
is that of your own transformation.” –Lao-Tzu, public domain (1)

I find it ever so easy to forget Lao-Tzu’s excellent advice to concentrate on my own awakening. Then I segue back into the drama of me versus the world.

KRISHNA DAS: THE HEART AS THE EYES OF THE WORLD

Life is so much easier when I just place my awareness on my own heart, come what may. It reminds me of a song by Krishna Das, to the effect that the state of our own heart is our only merit in the world. There is no turning away from the truth of this. He sings about it in his beautiful song:
