SUMMARY OF THE VIDEO

Hello, Dear Ones, It’s Alice. I Am of the Stars.

I am sitting under a beautiful, sacred juniper tree right now. I am watching the wind go by, and tickle the little plants on the ground. The clouds are slowly meandering along. I have just been sitting here, mulling over the most recent clair intel.

I thought I would talk today about the great saints who have gone before us, and the ascended masters … especially the novice ascended masters, the apprentice ascended masters that I have discussed in other blogs: the saints, the holy ones.

Duality. Polarity, and the Shadow Bodies of People and Groups

To go back to some previous blogs: I have been talking a lot about duality and polarity lately. And I have talked about the Shadow Body of people … along with their Body of Light, there is a Shadow Body that helps create the duality and the polarity of the third and fourth dimensions.

I have also talked about the Darkness in groups, and the Light in groups … and how there is always a Shadow side of a group, because a group is composed of individuals. So the Shadows of all the individuals more or less equate to the Shadow of the Group, you know? Nevertheless, in most groups, there is quite a bit of beautiful white Light too, because the people all have their Bodies of Light, and those contribute to the Light of the Group.

… and how this is the other polarity, the Dark polarity. And then there is the Light polarity which is Buddhic (i.e., like the Buddha) and Christ consciousness … and these are very, very bright. They are the beautiful Light that is all around our Planet, now that the Planet has ascended. The things that are clearing away are the Darkness … It is lightening up, and turning into the brightness of that which we all are.

Old LIghtworker Syndrome

In a recent blog, I have talked about the Old Lightworker Syndrome (see above).

This is the notion that those of us that,  for a long time, have been in service to bring Light to Earth, and to show the way … wayshowers … and find a path for humanity … pathfinders … those of us that have concentrated very much on the light … Lightworkers … have had to have, in our Dark Bodies, a very Dark presence that balances and polarizes the Light.

Polarity and the Shadow Body as Pertaining to Saints and Ascended Masters Who Have Passed On

My discussion about saints and novice ascended masters and … who knows? … maybe ascended masters that are pretty high up too, has to do with this notion of polarity and the Shadow Body.

From what I can tell, on the clair plane, what is going on is that these very great saints with a great deal of Light, to whom humanity owes a very great deal because of the inspiration that their lives provide, if they have not reincarnated, are existing at a very high level of the astral plane positive … some say, way up in the stratosphere of Earth, very high up in the atmosphere of our astral plane.

The Ghostly Fractals of Saints and Ascended Masters. But what I found is that, in addition to their very august and inspiring presence, there are also fractals … or ghostly presences … of them in even the lowest hellworlds … very low … that are like the lost children of the Soul that I have spoken of … the little body elementals that are enclosed and encapsulated and unable to dissolve, because the thought that they embody … the feeling that they embody … is so far different from the Light of the main Body of Light of these great ones.

And so the Light, the presence, of the fractals, the ghosts of the memories of these saints and ascended masters (for instance, in Jesus Christ, the memory of his crucifixion) in the lowest astral planes can be very, very Dark indeed … Very, very Dark, to balance out their very bright presence in the highest astral planes. So that is part of the news.

I have known this for some time now. But the reason I have delayed in talking about it, is that I usually do not talk about things that I cannot think of something constructive to say about, in terms of how we should deal with it, as humanity.

Mahabharata-like Astral Commotion and the Incoming Light

Just last night there was one of Judy Satori’s broadcasts, her free Summer School broadcasts …

… was on. And those are always well attended, on the astral plane. And there tends to be quite a commotion, afterwards, on the astral plane, because the Light that is brought in and grounded to Earth during those sessions, results in kind of a chaotic ‘changing up’ and switching around, on the astral plane.

Last night was no exception. In fact, the proportions of the commotion were almost mahabharata style. [laughs] It is a good thing I have been through quite a few of these before. And so I know that when the Light changes, the ghosts, for instance … the fractals … tend to get very upset and disturbed. It is almost like a solar flare coming in.

In fact, last night the Kp (planetary K) Index did change to yellow …

I think that had to do with Judy Satori’s show, and a lot of things combined to make these changes in the Kp Index (which means the excitation of the atmosphere). In other words, it is possible that the ghosts did it; who knows?! [laughs] You can come up with your own ideas on that. But the ghosts were pretty upset last night. They were just going around, and carrying on.

On Distinguishing Between the Ghostly Fractals of Departed Saints and Ascended Masters, and Their True Selves

And so the thing to do … when, for instance we recognize that these are the injured, repressed, Soul-wounding fragments of those great saints and teachers and ascended masters … what we have to do, is not relate to them as if they were the teacher (though, indeed, they may present to us, on the astral plane, as the ghostly image of the physical form of the revered teacher) … but rather, relate to them as if they were the teacher’s little, lost children that need to find their way back.

The Afterlife. Let us not take instruction from that wounding. We have to make some distinctions, on the astral plane, that I have read about … I believe these distinctions to be true, because of my own clair experiences.

Clairly I hear things well, but I do not see things that well; but clairaudiently I can confirm that there are cases of people who have passed on and are on the astral plane … According to the School of Theosophy …

… eventually the astral form drops away, and people are left with their Mental Bodies and their Souls. And then they go into a kind of a long, deep sleep, and sleeping period … Sometimes, in the past, it used to be a thousand years, according to the School of Theosophy.

The Astral Shell, and Imposter Spirits Who Take Up Tenancy in It. The discarded astral form just sort of floats around on the astral plane. And sometimes  impish nature spirits … whose intention may be, at best, neutral with regard to humankind … will slip into these astral forms, and parade around, on the astral plane, trying to play tricks on humans.

And in the worst cases, these are malicious spirits, or demons, that are trying to harm humans by pretending to be people that they used to know. One of the worst possible instances of this is when a great saint or spiritual teacher or ascended master’s astral form lies dormant on the astral plane, and is taken up by a malicious spirit.

On Recognizing the Energy Signature of an Imposter Astral Imp. Those who are used to taking instruction from their spiritual teacher who has passed on … who have been taught for a long time by that teacher, for instance … and there are many cases like this all over the world … many, many cases where students have been in touch with their students for a long, long time … may find, right now, imposters in that role.

So what we have to do is, we have to look at the emotional tone of what is being said … that is, we must learn to distinguish ‘flavors’ of energy signatures … and decide whether this is the true thing; whether this the real McCoy, whether this is a high spiritual teaching or this is an imposter, you know?

The Importance of Stabilizing our Energy Field When there Is Commotion in the Astral Realm

At the current interval, the commotion that is happening is reaching the stratosphere right now … the very high parts of the atmosphere … when there are solar flares and so forth. And also, there are all the ghosts, who are not really sentient at all … all the fractals who are stirring about … like, you can imagine, seaweed waving in a deep, deep sea …

Our job, during these times of Light, astral bewilderment, and upset … our job is to maintain our own pranic tube energy … not to relate to anyone else, but to put ourselves in touch with our own higher selves.

How Our Ascension Process Will Free Up the Departed Saints and Ascended Masters So That They Too Can Ascend

For most of us, our Awareness is in the third and fourth dimension right now. But according to Judy Satori, who is in touch with the Galactic Council, we have 12 formed dimensions … 12 formed shapes. We have our third dimensional shape … our physical form … and our fourth dimensional shape … our astral body. After that, there are eight more higher selves, within the formed realm, that we could get to know and relate to, at these times.

So let us place our energy on our own Soul remembering. That will allow these great saints, and these great teachers, and these great ascended masters, to work with their own fractals and their own integrations … because they are still, in almost all cases, in the higher fourth dimension. And then, as they integrate all their fractals, they move into the fifth or sixth dimension, I believe. That is how it seems to me.

But they cannot do that if we are pestering them with our own fractals, because ours ratchet against theirs. So let us incorporate our own body elementals that are wounded … our own Soul wounding. Let us discover our higher selves. Let us do that work that is pertinent just to us, ok? I think that will help; it will help all of them.

They have a monumental task before them, of incorporating the very dense, highly compressed little bubbles of wounded body elementals that are shadowing about in Hades, into their extremely bright Bodies of Light. That is what I think. And also, if those ghostly presences begin to sound more and more intelligent … more and more animated … that is because that is what is happening. And when they reach a certain state, they are going to get to the point where they can resume a relationship with the main Soul, and become a unified Soul field.

All is well. All is going fine. There are just a few things to look out for.

We have talked in past about the different grades of astral matter. This is the matter of which our emotional body is composed. As the Theosophist C.W. Leadbeater says:

“First of all, then, it must be understood that the astral plane has seven subdivisions, each of which has its corresponding degree of materiality and its corresponding condition of matter. Now numbering these from the highest and least material downwards, we find that they naturally fall into three classes, divisions 1, 2 and 3 forming one such class, and 4, 5 and 6 another, while the seventh and lowest of all stands alone. The difference between the matter of one of these classes and the next would be commensurable with that between a solid and a liquid, while the difference between the matter of the subdivisions of a class would rather resemble that between two kinds of solid, such as, say, steel and sand….” –from “The Astral Plane: Its Scenery, Inhabitants, and Phenomena,” by C.W. Thus, some sorts of astral matter are fine, like water, and some are coarse, like sand. The finest grade is found in the first astral plane, and the coarsest is found in the seventh, or lowest, astral plane.

HOW DRUG USE MAKES ASTRAL MATTER COARSE

The coarseness of our astral matter, while we are in a body, depends upon the coarseness of our physical body. The latter depends on what we eat and drink; thus diet creates the inner environment of our astral body as well as our physical body. The most coarsening to these two bodies is brought about by hard alcoholic drugs such as vodka, scotch, bourbon, and hard recreational drugs such as opium, opiates, cocaine, and so on.

WHAT ASTRAL COARSENESS ATTRACTS INTO A PERSON’S LIFE

Since cocaine use coarsens a person’s mental and astral matter, this quality of coarseness creates in the person evil and selfish qualities … in the case of cocaine, specifically, insatiable lust, murder, and the desire for power over others. These thought forms draw to the cocaine user the thought forms of other cocaine users and the violence of the drug cartels.

It also attracts the attention of lower astral entities, such as the fearsome elementaries, who become the cocaine user’s constant companions, always tempting him or her to acts of sexual atrocity, such as sexual murder, acts of sadism, and violent sexual fantasies.

This may be a negative ‘body elemental’ … that is, an intelligent thought-form created by the person himself, which can leap from him to another person with whom he associates. On the positive side, surely it is possible to create good and sweet body elementals that will bless those we meet with love and joy!

There is the further crowding round of ghosts who have died in the flush of depraved passion. Here is a description adapted from “The Theosophical Writings of Annie Besant”. It is about depraved people … people with coarse astral matter … who have experienced sudden death, perhaps by suicide or accident …

“Unhappy shades, if sinful and sensual, they wander about . . . until their death-hour comes. Cut off in the full flush of earthly passions, which bind them to familiar scenes, they are enticed by opportunities which mediums afford to gratify them vicariously. SATANIC INFLUENCE: MIND CONTROL, SPELLS, CURSES

Recreational drug use, including alcohol, which is taken for granted all over the world today, is considered by some to be a contract with Satan. This contract, they say, allows Satan to work through our minds, and create evil through our actions. In my youth, I thought this could not be true, since everyone I knew was on one form of alcohol or another, and most of them were legal.

Today, I am certain that it is true. Drug use is a choice of sleep over Awareness. It binds us to Satan, and hands him a contract to take over our dream world. It gives him the say-so to manipulate us with mind control, spells, and curses. We will further fall into a world of black magic, and begin to subconsciously use mind control, spells, and curses against other people. This is because, while we are asleep, Satan is teaching our sleeping astral forms to do this by using these same black magic methods against us.

WHEN A PERSON WITH COARSE ASTRAL MATTER COMES NEAR A PERSON WITH FINE ASTRAL MATTER

The strength of the desire elemental of the person with coarse astral matter, dwelling on emotional thought forms of lust, power over, and murder, creates psychic cording to the lower triangle (lower three chakras) of the person with fine astral matter. Mixing of the matter of the two astral bodies occurs.

The person with the coarse astral matter will ratchet up into a frenzy of sexuality, desire to rape, and desire to kill. The person with the finer vehicle will then find themselves haunted by emotional thought forms of the lowest possible order.  As the Bible says, Be not deceived: evil communications corrupt good manners. –1 Corinthians 15:33 (KJV, public domain)

REGAINING LOST GROUND

What must follow for the person who wishes to re-establish fineness of astral matter, after this downgrading of astral matter has taken place, is a conscious, unwavering pursuit of the highest thoughts and emotions.

According to this passage, it is relatively easy for the person to whom coarse astral matter has been transferred to return to a state of astral purity, by ever turning to the highest and noblest thoughts and emotions.

WHAT TO DO ABOUT ASTRAL HAUNTING BY DRUG USERS

I have had this trouble of being astrally haunted by drug users (whose vibrations I find distressing because of their coarseness) for years. When I feel the desire elementals of cocaine users reaching out to me, I am trying today quiet mental repetition of the phrase: I’m married to a lumberjack. …  (This is a ‘power over’ sexual threat.) So far today, this has worked quite well. However, I have my doubts (as you may too) about the effectiveness of meeting threat with threat.

My thought is, expressing threats on the astral plane will downgrade my own astral matter. Further, this particular thought may attract into my life a person whose astral matter is not congruent with my own. So the notion of developing good thought forms and good emotions is most likely more helpful in the long run.

COCAINE AND THE LION’S GATE

As you may know, we are going through the Lion’s Gate right now. This Gate is not compatible with hard drug use. Consequently, those whose bodies are compromised by hard drug toxins are likely to experience heightened mental and emotional chaos.

During the rest of 2015, as the Incoming Light becomes stronger and stronger, greater and greater purity of the physical body will be demanded, in order for the physical vehicle to match and be comfortable with the level of Light expressed on Earth. Total nixie on recreational drugs. Think twice about prescription drugs too … Do you really need them? Stay away from the over-the-counter drug blithely named sugar. I myself am determined to get off coffee too.

Dear Ones,

Every human being has a ‘desire elemental’, which consists of ‘elemental essence’ that goes along and flows with his or her EMF (electromagnetic field). Some call this desire elemental a ‘being’, but this is an imperfect term, as its beingness is not discretely individualized like that of the human being.

Nevertheless, every human being is attended by this elemental essence, and it in fact performs a very important service to humankind, by keeping us motivated to stay on Earth, and thus to accomplish our Soul missions during this incarnation.

Dear Ones,

For some years now, I have been clair hearing folks conversing, in their astral bodies. They sound so emotional, so negative, so socially unacceptable! They identify themselves as folks I know. Yet when I call these people up, or email them, the tenor of the conversation, the quality of the thoughts and emotions, is completely different. Upbeat. Logical. Socially acceptable.

What gives? I used to think.

I tried theory after theory. Finally I came up with the notion that people quite naturally carry on conversations together in the astral plane (aka the feeling world, the world of emotions, the dreamtime realm) all day long. But, their logical minds and their physical brains do not know it.

Further, I feel, our astral bodies contain all our repressed, socially unacceptable ‘thought forms’. These are encapsulated by an energy barrier or shield (to prevent our expressing them and being socially ostracized).

They are tiny, furious thought forms that really want out of this barrier. They want to express themselves. They want to be free. And specifically, they want to be loved by their creator … our own beautiful heart. Our own vast Soul field. Barring that, they will express themselves to anyone else who is listening in on the clair plane.

So now, my human logical mind goes on to wonder, why is this happening? I came up with the theory that the astral body is somehow barred off from participating in the full life of the physical form. A more expansive energy barrier exists, separating astral matter from physical matter and mental matter. A Veil.

And that, during the Ascension process, in the last few years, the Incoming Light is creating micro wormholes through folks’ Veils, so that they begin to participate in their astral commotion. As these micro wormholes form, they begin hearing the astral conversations. Wondering, like I did, what in tarnation is all this astral commotion about?

And more importantly, the micro-encapsulated repressed energies are beginning to release and resolve into the Soul field. Not globally, necessarily, but first and foremost, unity within our own Soul field.

Yesterday, in my reading, I was very surprised to find Arthur E. Powell describing an ‘Astral Shell’, more or less in terms I had been surmising about. He further offers a direction in which humankind may be headed….

This would be one milepost in our Ascension process, the ‘knowing’ of our astral form while in grounded physical awareness. The ability to switch from physical sensation to astral awareness all in an instant, without the need for the astral body to leave the physical form (as is the case in our dreamtime astral travels).

HOW LARGE IS THE ASTRAL WORLD?

“Since our evolution is centred at present upon this globe which we call the earth, it is in connection with it only that we shall be speaking of these higher worlds, so in future when I use the term “astral world” I shall mean by it the astral part of our own globe only, and not (as heretofore) the astral part of the whole solar system. This astral part of our own world is also a globe, but of astral matter. It occupies the same place as the globe which we see, but its matter (being so much lighter) extends out into space on all sides of us further than does the atmosphere of the earth—a great deal further. It stretches to a little less than the mean distance of the moon, so that though the two physical globes, the earth and the moon, are nearly 240,000 miles apart, the astral globes of these two bodies touch one another when the moon is in perigee, but not when she is in apogee….” (1)

“The astral world extends nearly to the mean distance of the orbit of the moon; but though the whole of this realm is open to any of its inhabitants who have not permitted the redistribution of their matter, the great majority remain much nearer to the surface of the earth….” (1)

ASTRAL MATTER

“The matter of the different subdivisions of that world interpenetrates with perfect freedom, but there is on the whole a general tendency for the denser matter to settle towards the centre. The conditions are much like those which obtain in a bucket of water which contains in suspension a number of kinds of matter of different degrees of density. Since the water is kept in perpetual motion, the different kinds of matter are diffused through it; but in spite of that, the densest matter is found in greatest quantity nearest to the bottom. So that though we must not at all think of the various subdivisions of the astral world as lying above one another as do the coats of an onion, it is nevertheless true that the average arrangement of the matter of those subdivisions partakes somewhat of that general character.

“Astral matter interpenetrates physical matter precisely as though it were not there, but each subdivision of physical matter has a strong attraction for astral matter of the corresponding subdivision. Hence it arises that every physical body has its astral counterpart. If I have a glass of water standing upon a table, the glass and the table, being of physical matter in the solid state, are interpenetrated by astral matter of the lowest subdivision. The water in the glass, being liquid, is interpenetrated by what we may call astral liquid—that is, by astral matter of the sixth subdivision; whereas the air surrounding both, being physical matter in the gaseous condition, is entirely interpenetrated by astral gaseous matter—that is, astral matter of the fifth subdivision….” (1)

THE SEVEN INTERPENETRATING ‘WORLDS’

” … this globe upon which we live is not one world, but seven interpenetrating worlds, all occupying the same space, except that the finer types of matter extend further from the centre than does the denser matter.

“We have given names to these interpenetrating worlds for convenience in speaking of them.

  • No name is needed for the first, as man is not yet in direct connection with it; but when it is necessary to mention it, it may be called the divine world.
  • The second is described as the monadic, because in it exist those Sparks of the divine Life which we call the human Monads; but neither of these can be touched by the highest clairvoyant investigations at present possible for us.
  • The third sphere, whose atoms contain 2,401 bubbles, is called the spiritual world, because in it functions the highest Spirit in man as now constituted.
  • The fourth is the intuitional world, [Previously called, in School of Theosophy literature, the buddhic plane.] because from it come the highest intuitions.
  • The fifth is the mental world, because from its matter is built the mind of man.
  • The sixth is called the emotional or astral world, because the emotions of man cause undulations in its matter. (The name astral was given to it by medieval alchemists, because its matter is starry or shining as compared to that of the denser world.)
  • The seventh world, composed of the type of matter which we see all around us, is called the physical….” (1)

OCTAVES OF VIBRATION, TYPES OF MATTER; SEVEN TYPES OF MATTER PER ‘WORLD’

“The matter of which all these interpenetrating worlds are built is essentially the same matter, but differently arranged and of different degrees of density. Therefore the rates at which these various types of matter normally vibrate differ also. They may be considered as a vast gamut of undulations consisting of many octaves. The physical matter uses a certain number of the lowest of these octaves, the astral matter another group of octaves just above that, the mental matter a still further group, and so on.

“Not only has each of these worlds its own type of matter; it has also its own set of aggregations of that matter—its own substances. In each world we arrange these substances in seven classes according to the rate at which their molecules vibrate. Usually, but not invariably, the slower oscillation involves also a larger molecule—a molecule, that is, built up by a special arrangement of the smaller molecules of the next higher subdivision. The application of heat increases the size of the molecules and also quickens and amplifies their undulation, so that they cover more ground, and the object, as a whole expands, until the point is reached where the aggregation of molecules breaks up, and the latter passes from one condition to that next above it. In the matter of the physical world the seven subdivisions are represented by seven degrees of density of matter, to which, beginning from below upwards, we give the names solid, liquid, gaseous, etheric, superetheric, subatomic and atomic….” (1)

SEVEN SUBDIVISIONS OF THE ASTRAL WORLD

“To a large extent people make their own surroundings. We have already referred to the seven subdivisions of this astral world. Numbering these from the highest and least material downwards, we find that they fall naturally into three classes—

  • divisions one, two and three forming one such class, and
  • four, five and six another;
  • while the seventh and lowest of all stands alone.

“As I have said, although they all interpenetrate, their substance has a general tendency to arrange itself according to its specific gravity, so that most of the matter belonging to the higher subdivisions is found at a greater elevation above the surface of the earth than the bulk of the matter of the lower portions.

“Hence, although any person inhabiting the astral world can move into any part of it, his natural tendency is to float at the level which corresponds with the specific gravity of the heaviest matter in his astral body. The man who has not permitted the rearrangement of the matter of his astral body after death is entirely free of the whole astral world; but the majority, who do permit it, are not equally free—not because there is anything to prevent them from rising to the highest level or sinking to the lowest, but because they are able to sense clearly only a certain part of that world.

“I have described something of the fate of a man who is on the lowest level, shut in by a strong shell of coarse matter. Because of the extreme comparative density of that matter he is conscious of less outside of his own subdivision than a man at any other level. The general specific gravity of his own astral body tends to make him float below the surface of the earth. The physical matter of the earth is absolutely non-existent to his astral senses, and his natural attraction is to that least delicate form of astral matter which is the counterpart of that solid earth. A man who has confined himself to that lowest subdivision will therefore usually find himself floating in darkness and cut off to a great extent from others of the dead, whose lives have been such as to keep them on a higher level.

“Divisions four, five and six of the astral world (to which most people are attracted) have for their background the astral counterpart of the physical world in which we live, and all its familiar accessories. Life in the sixth subdivision is simply like our ordinary life on this earth minus the physical body and its necessities while as it ascends through the fifth and fourth divisions it becomes less and less material and is more and more withdrawn from our lower world and its interests.

“The first, second and third sections, though occupying the same space, yet give the impression of being much further removed from the physical, and correspondingly less material. Men who inhabit these levels lose sight of the earth and its belongings; they are usually deeply self-absorbed, and to a large extent create their own surroundings, though these are sufficiently objective to be perceptible to other men of their level, and also to clairvoyant vision.

“This region is the summerland of which we hear in spiritualistic circles—the world in which, by the exercise of their thought, the dead call into temporary existence their houses and schools and cities. These surroundings, though fanciful from our point of view, are to the dead as real as houses, temples or churches built of stone are to us, and many people live very contentedly there for a number of years in the midst of all these thought-creations.

“Some of the scenery thus produced is very beautiful; it includes lovely lakes, magnificent mountains, pleasant flower gardens, decidedly superior to anything in the physical world; though on the other hand it also contains much which to the trained clairvoyant (who has learned to see things as they are) appears ridiculous—as, for example, the endeavours of the unlearned to make a thought-form of some of the curious symbolic descriptions contained in their various scriptures. An ignorant peasant’s thought-image of a beast full of eyes within, or of a sea of glass mingled with fire, is naturally often grotesque, although to its maker it is perfectly satisfactory. This astral world is full of thought-created figures and landscapes. Men of all religions image here their deities and their respective conceptions of paradise, and enjoy themselves greatly among these dream-forms until they pass into the mental world and come into touch with something nearer to reality….” (1)

EXPERIENCES IN THE VARIOUS ASTRAL SUBDIVISIONS AFTER DEATH

“Every one after death—any ordinary person, that is, in whose case the rearrangement of the matter of the astral body has been made—has to pass through all these subdivisions in turn. It does not follow that every one is conscious in all of them. The ordinarily decent person has in his astral body but little of the matter of its lowest portion—by no means enough to construct a heavy shell. The redistribution puts on the outside of the body its densest matter; in the ordinary man this is usually matter of the sixth subdivision, mixed with a little of the seventh, and so he finds himself viewing the counterpart of the physical world.

“The ego is steadily withdrawing into himself, and as he withdraws he leaves behind him level after level of this astral matter. So the length of the man’s detention in any section of the astral world is precisely in proportion to the amount of its matter which is found in his astral body, and that in turn depends upon the life he has lived, the desires he has indulged, and the class of matter which by so doing he has attracted towards him and built into himself. Finding himself then in the sixth section, still hovering about the places and persons with which he was most closely connected while on earth, the average man, as time passes on, finds the earthly surroundings gradually growing dimmer and becoming of less and less importance to him, and he tends more and more to mould his entourage into agreement with the more persistent of his thoughts. By the time that he reaches the third level he finds that this characteristic has entirely superseded the vision of the realities of the astral world.

“The second subdivision is a shade less material than the third, for if the latter is the summerland of the spiritualists, the former is the material heaven of the more ignorantly orthodox; while the first or highest level appears to be the special home of those who during life have devoted themselves to materialistic but intellectual pursuits, following them not for the sake of benefiting their fellow men, but either from motives of selfish ambition or simply for the sake of intellectual exercise. All these people are perfectly happy. Later on they will reach a stage when they can appreciate something much higher, and when that stage comes they will find the higher ready for them….” (1)
