“Ruminations on La Tuna Canyon Mountain Lions”
By Alice B. Clagett

[See if you can hear the voices of the wild animals.
The voices of the Mountain Lions sound like the wind.
It is easy to mistake them for meaningless background sounds.]

[American painted lady butterfly]

Hello, Dear Ones. It’s Alice. I Am of the Stars.

I’m out here today pretty early in the morning at the La Tuna Canyon Trail overlooking the Great Pacific. And unless I’m mistaken, there are still quite a few Mountain Lions out this way.

So, the Mountain Lions are gone from Malibu Creek State Park. Yay. And pretty much gone from Paramount Ranch. But here in Tuna Canyon, there are still quite a few Mountain Lions … small ones. Large ones are over in the far range there, but they’re teaching the young ones over here. So, I would exercise normal caution.

Can you hear that? There’s an animal over there. It’s a predator. It’s a male predator. And it’s saying, “I am not a Mountain Lion. I am a Coyote.”

Who is to know? Because predators generally don’t tell the truth.

Can you hear this conversation? A human male, an alpha human male is talking to that voice, that predator voice. Can you hear it?

And it has ascertained that that’s a female Mountain Lion that pretends to be a Coyote because her children are very impressed with the Coyotes.

And the alpha male asked the female Mountain Lion, “Why is that?”

And she said, “Because they snap up everything around here.”

You see, you cannot trust the predators. They seldom tell the truth, especially those Coyotes and Foxes, and looks like Mountain Lions, too.

And it takes an alpha male human to get them to be truthful. And so, you need to ask one of those if you’re not an alpha male. Ask them to talk to them. Now you know,

You know, the female Mountain Lion didn’t say it exactly like that. I don’t know if I can say it like she did, but I’ll try.

She said, “I am a female Mountain Lion. But I say that I’m a Coyote because my children, …” What did she say? … “My children think they’re great.”

She didn’t say that, but that was the intonation she used: “I am a female Mountain Lion, but I say that I’m a Coyote because my children like that.” Something like that.

Alice to Songbird (who is voicing the concern of a Coyote): Don’t say anything, right? [i.e., about the Mountain Lions]

[Coyote: They (the Mountain Lions) may try to hurt you if you do anything like that.]

Alice to Songbird: Do they really do that or do they just think about it?

Alice (repeating what the Songbird says): Same thing.

Oh my. I’m so sorry. I won’t do that again. I promise. I promise I won’t. Okay. Sorry. Sorry. Sorry. Sorry. Sorry. Sorry. Sorry. Is that okay? Thank you for telling me. Thank you very much. You’re the greatest. Who are you?

There you are again. Thank you for talking with me. I’m deeply honored that you’re speaking to me. Thank you so much. Thank you. See you later then. I’m going down this way. See you. Bye. Bye.

[Can you hear what the Mountain Lion is saying each time I step? Can you hear him laughing?]

Alice to Readers: This is a spot right here in the trail that’s worth concern because there’s a lip of land right here over which a predator might course and downward towards a hiker on the road who then might quickly be hauled down over the side here and deep down into the ravine right there very quickly. So I say, “Look out there!” Yeah.

I think it’s Bobcats there though … right there … unless I am mistaken. But you know, Bobcats kind of think that they are [whispering] Mountain Lions. [In a regular voice:} Yeah, they really do. There’s a mix up there.

Oh, one just said, “We are their smaller cousins.”

I’m heading back at a steady pace. And just a little bit farther back along the trail, there’s another spot where I think Deer might come up from the lowlands and [then go] back down again. And I think that might be an ambush point as well.

I heard earlier from the Songbirds that the predators here mainly ambush Deer, but once they caught a [human] child, a pretty big child, they said, not small, but he was acting funny. So, I guess maybe he was drunk or maybe had had some marijuana and was off [on a hike] by himself. [I guess that] was the problem. Too bad, huh? Too bad.

So, I’m going to show you the spot that I think might be a danger point for the Deer and for children who are intoxicated.

Now, you see, I just came up this hill from down there in the ambush place for humans with the lip of land above it and the deep ravine on the other side. There’s someone hiking up that way from down by the ocean right now.

And here is a marker. It used to be a signpost or … no, it’s a pipe, right? It’s a pipe that ran alongside the road. Maybe an irrigation pipe.

And on the other side of that, you’ll notice just an awful lot of …

I think they might be …. Let’s see. No, these are just …

See, there’s turds here.

And I think these are turds, too. And I thought maybe they were Deer turds. What do you think?

[Apparently these are Deer scats, which are oval, rather than Rabbit scats, which are spherical.]

And so if the Deer are coming up this way all along here, they might be coming up from this ravine right here. And that might be a place where predators would haul them back down into that deep gorge there … If you get me.

See, it’s big enough to haul down a small Deer, but not a person. You’d have to haul them in just a particular way. I think more likely this is a Deer traverse point to get up to the road and across to other pastures without showing your head to the predators.

See? [There are] people coming up.

You know, there must be something that those Deer like to eat here on the high pasture,  because look here … There’s just turds everywhere. They must love it here.

Is that … I wonder if that’s giant Rabbits or if it’s Deer. What do you think?

Look here.

See, what do you think? Maybe it’s Rabbits.

So, on the psychic plane, I heard a man’s voice say, “There’s four or five Mountain Lions in that area.”

And then I heard … on the psychic plane, I heard these two lady hikers that were coming up, one of them said, “No, there’s no Mountain Lions here.”

But I think if by any chance there’s a lot of Rabbits or a lot of Deer up here, as indicated by these feces here, that there might be a good reason for Mountain Lions to come up here on La Tuna Canyon [Fire] Road out into the wastelands to the right of the trail, the great fire road there. What do you think?

I’m going just a little farther into the wastelands and then I’ll come back. If I don’t come back, you’ll know why.

So, there’s a female Mountain Lion and a male Mountain Lion … maybe a pair … that say that they haven’t been up this way in the wastelands for a while because the Deer haven’t been up this way for a while. And the male says, “We’re hanging out down by the ocean right now.”

I heard one of the Songbirds say, if you try to go down by the ocean … There’s a road that leads down from the water tower to the housing development on the cliff overlooking the ocean. And I heard a Songbird say that if you go down that way they were likely to attack a human being … I guess because so many people come up that way to the lookout at the water tower … young people trying to get away from their parents, I think, maybe after school and before dinner time.

So, I was wondering about the male and the female [Mountain Lions] on the road that goes from the water tower down to the housing development overlooking the ocean, as compared to what I had heard earlier about Mountain Lions in the far slopes on the right hand side of the road as you descend.

And so I asked over here … [at] the high mountains on the righthand side of the road. I asked over there and the gruff voice of an older male Mountain Lion said …

I asked whether the older Mountain Lions are on the high places like that. See? … up above there. I don’t know if you can see there’s another ridge up there?

And he said, “Yes,” in a gruff voice … a little bit phlegmy … that the older Mountain Lions are on the high places and that all the young ones are down in the low places.

Alice to Alpha Mountain Lion: Well, if I may ask, why are the young ones in the low places?

[Alpha Mountain Lion is responding. His voice is very faint and far away.]

Alice to Readers: Well, I don’t know if you could hear that [response] because it was whispered telepathically. That was a male Mountain Lion over this way on the other side, the left hand side of the fire trail as you descend to a canyon.

And it said, “They [the humans] catch them and kill them in the low places. But they don’t …

[Mountain Lion is replying. Can you hear it?]

… catch anything in these high-lying areas where my ancient people live.”

[Alpha Male Mountain Lion to Alice, laughing: D-mn right! They don’t!]

I guess they’re the top of the pile over there. The sorted out most severely alpha [Mountain] Lions of the group get the highest places.

And that other voice that I heard on the lefthand side of the road as you descend to a canyon … it was over this way, over that way, but farther than that. That voice came from a few miles farther on.

You see, the ocean is down there and other mountain ridges are over that way. And over here is the very famous Eucalyptus Grove where people go and sit. So now you have your bearings.

SUMMARY OF THE VIDEO

“Mountain Lion Kills at Solstice Canyon and Other Outrageous Coverups”
By Alice B. Clagett

Hello, Dear Ones. It’s Alice. I Am of the Stars. I’m here at Solstice Canyon off Corral Canyon Road, which is off of Pacific Coast Highway next to the [Pacific] Ocean. And I have some disconcerting news here from the telepathic plane.

First off, I went to join a group, but it looks like the main walk to the architect’s house is closed today because of work ongoing. There were four work vehicles next to the restrooms and a tape, a construction tape that said you couldn’t go any farther. So, the walk was off.

And in addition, I heard telepathically, maybe from one of the workers, that there had been three deaths there. I said, “What ages?” They said, “Three children, ages four, six, and eight.” And so consequently, the park was off limits to children unaccompanied by adults. Now, I’m assuming they’re talking about Mountain Lion kills. Something had eaten [the children].

Like I say, it’s telepathic, so there’s a 50/50 chance it might not be true. But telepathic corroboration from myself has to do with the road that goes past the one-way bridge to the parking lot, right?

Right about the place of the one-way bridge, as I was heading towards the parking lot, on the right-hand side of the road, I heard a [voice] … It was almost like a Bobcat that had laryngitis. It had a cruel cutting edge to its voice like its throat was sore and it said, “I’m waiting for you.”

Which doesn’t bode well, of course, for stopping on the one-way bridge, I’d say. And it also provides corroboration for this story about the kills of the children, which were purported to take place over by the architect’s house, you know, the famous walk to the architect’s house and the pool.

So, I have a theory that there’s a coverup going on. This is a telepathically supported theory that has to do with things that are taking place in the local Santa Monica Mountains. One of them, I think, is deaths because of Mountain Lions. I think there have been quite a few of them that are covered up.

Another has to do with robbing and looting and maiming and killing by rough sorts in and around the Santa Monica Mountains … both on the trails and on the roads that go through [the mountains].

In addition, I think it possible that the restrooms and trails in the parks may be being used as trysts or meeting places for single men, maybe gay men … and also by straight couples of all ages … and that because of that, it would be best to keep children away from those areas because they might be enticed or lured or raped in those areas.

I think that because some of the park signs say such-and-such a ‘tail’ instead of such-and-such a ‘trail’. [That was at the Yucca Trailhead at Stunt Road and at the western trailhead off of Liberty Canyon Road]. I’ve reported this to the police, but there’s been no change in those.

So that’s a telltale sign, as it were, that there may be illicit sexual activity … maybe for pay … taking place in the mountain areas, especially around the trailheads, the beginnings of the trails.

So, you’ll want your children to be aware of that. And if you’re a woman hiking alone, you need to be very aware so as not to be approached by some unsavory character who has not your best interests in mind.

And another one has to do with selling the right to kill Sea Lions and Seals at Point Dume. I think that’s taking place.

And I think all these what you might call corrupt or coverup policies need to be uncovered by the local news people here in the Los Angeles area and brought to light if they’re true.

I think there’s no place for deep dark secrets in the Santa Monica Mountains. It’s a wonderful place for everybody here, and we need to know what dangers are taking place and what dangers await us, okay? We need to be prepared.

Meantime, until we know for sure, please take good care of your children in the mountains and don’t hike alone. Hike with somebody else who’s trailwise. God bless you all, keep you safe, and be with you through all your days.

In love, Light and joy, this is Alice B. Clagett. I Am of the Stars … and so are you! Come and visit me at “Awakening with Planet Earth” … https://awakeningwithplanetearth.com ..

INTRODUCTION

Dear Ones,

This video features a long talk with some dogs, along with desultory conversations with many other wild animals in Paramount Park. The wild animals there are all proficient in English, putting me as a Human Being in a special category of ineptness at their own languages.

A few of the topics brought up by this video are paranormal battery drain; the process of Ascension for all beings on Earth (not just Humans); remote viewing by predators such as Mountain Lions; the inadvisability of bad people in the Santa Monica Mountains attempting to align with the Mountain Lions; and the ability of Native Americans to live in harmony with wild animals.

SUMMARY OF THE VIDEO

“On a Ramble: A Talk with Dogs, Towhees, Coyotes, Mountain Lions, Groundhogs, Ravens, and Nandays”
By Alice B. Clagett

Alice to Dog: Hey, Good Dog over there. What’s up?
Raven says, then Dog repeats: Nothing at all.

Alice to Dog: Nothing at all?

Dog to Alice: COVID-stricken stuff is what we’re worried about right now. COVID-striken.

Alice (repeating Dog): COVID-stricken is what we’re worried about right now. COVID-stricken.
Alice to Dog: Me too.
Dog to Alice: Hawk is attacking me.

Alice to Dog: Yeah. COVID-stricken.
Dog to Alice: I don’t know what to do.
Alice to Dog: You have to hide your eyes. If a Hawk comes around, you have to …

… lie down and hide your eyes with your paws or run under the house. Okay?
Dog to Alice: All right.
Alice to Dog: … far from the Hawk, …

… because the Hawk is biting people’s eyes right now. Do you understand? Go and hide. Don’t bark.

Go and hide if the Hawk comes around. Okay? All the Dogs in my neighborhood, they know …

… this now. Go hide if the Hawk comes around. Okay? Don’t bark.
Dog agrees emphatically.
Alice to Dog: If you can’t hide, put your …

… paws on your eyes. Okay? So it bites your paws and not your eyes.
Dog agrees emphatically.
Alice to Dog: Okay, don’t forget now. Okay.

Dog to Alice: D-mn right! Don’t let that Hawk peck MY eyes out!

Dog to Alice: D-mn right!

Alice to Dog: Right.
Dog to Alice: Ok. All right.
Alice to Dog: Well, we’re working to figure out what to …

… do about that …
Dog to Alice: Let’s work out what that Hawk is up to … what the heck that Hawk is flying …
Alice to Dog: … about that COVID-stricken thing.
It’s not me. Of course not. It’s not me.

[Alice to Readers: In this section I am videotaping the Dogs and they are saying, over and over again, “No cameras!”
Near the end of this clip the Songbirds| start saying this too.
So I just put the audio into this video, along with a disguised image of the Dogs …
Then I thought maybe they felt so emphatically about this that they broke my camcorder, as you are about to see.
That is an Ascension drawback termed paranormal battery drain, keeping in mind that
Ascension is for all beings on Earth, including animals and not just Human Beings.]

Alice to Dog: No, I wouldn’t do that.
Dog to Alice: Let’s work out what that Hawk is up to.

Alice to Dog: Are you there still? I don’t see you anymore. Oh, God!

Alice to herself: Okay.

Alice to Readers: Well, what do you know? That Dog did not break my camera.

It [the camcorder] just needed another battery. It just needed a battery! Of course that’s it.
Dog to Alice: I BROKE that CAMERA! Good G-d, I BROKE that #@$% CAMERA!

Alice to Readers: Yes. I should know. I should know. The Dog would not do that. The Dog doesn’t

… like me to take pictures, but the Dog would not break the camera.
Dog to Alice: Dog WOULD break the camera!
Alice to Dog: Right. It’s a Good Dog. Smart …

… Dog. Big Dog. Big Dog now. Great Big Dog. Well, thank you very much for not breaking my camera.
Dog to Alice: That horrible Dog DID break your G-d d-mned camera!

Alice to another Dog: Your friend would break my camera?
Alice to first Dog: You would?
First Dog to Alice: Ok, I won’t.
Alice to First Dog: Please don’t break my camera! Please!

………………..
Sidebar: Thoughts on Playoffs Between Bad Men and Mountain Lions in the Santa Monica Mountains

I heard later … and this makes perfect sense to me … that some folks feel that the Mountain Lions can see through the camera or camcorder when a person taking pictures.

Mountain Lions (and likely all predators) are VERY visually gifted. This includes the gift of clairvoyance (aka clair vision, clair seeing, remote viewing, psychic sight, or mind seeing).

So it might be best not to take images of potential prey when Mountain Lions are within, say, 5 miles.

I know there is a scattering of bad human beings … human beings who are predators … in the Santa Monica Mountains who are aligning themselves with the Mountain Lions and harming or murdering good, innocent people there.

If you are one of those bad people, and if you hope to take advantage of a camera or camcorder to summon the Mountain Lions to prey upon people whom you hope will fall victim to them … and to you … then consider this:

If you summon the Mountain Lions to your potential victim by filming them, then you yourself may fall victim to the Mountain Lions.

Mountain Lions don’t make friends with humans. Here in the Santa Monica Mountains
they consider Humans to be a poor but necessary dietary substitute for Deer.

You are not immune. Don’t play both ends against the middle.

Play it straight. Play it right down the middle.

If you don’t, you’ll end up as an hors d’oeuvre or as dessert for a hungry horde of Mountain Lions.

What a boring playoff would THAT be?!

………………..

Alice to First Dog: Thank you. Thank you very much.
First Dog to Alice: Welcome!
Alice to First Dog: I guess you heard about the Hawk, right? Okay. So, …

… you know all about the Hawk, right? And the Hawk in my neighborhood. Okay. I heard that paws don’t …

[Just above, Dog said to Alice: I’ve broken your camera six times. I don’t want you to take any more photos! I HATE cameras!]

… work so well. You need to get under something solid so that it can’t dive onto it.

. . . . .

[TURN YOUR AUDIO UP TO ITS HIGHEST VOLUME SO YOU CAN HEAR THE CALIFORNIA TOWHEE.]

They can walk right up though, on the ground, and get to a Dog[house] … Maybe deep under a house [would be better?].
California Towhee [quiet, squeaky, emphatic voice] is begging me, over and over again, not to talk about anything like that.
Then Raven says to Alice: Stop! Stop! Stop!

Alice to Readers: Yeah, that’s what happened with the Mother Raven. The Hawk dived and then landed and …

… then grabbed the Mother Raven. That was two years ago. Hawk was angry about something.
California Towhee: Please don’t TALK about it! Please STOP TALKING about it! Please STOP TALKING about it! STOP it!
Lady Coyote [dolorously]: Dharm Dee, You don’t know what you’re DOING!

Alice to Readers: She didn’t have enough food for her babies.

California Towhee 1 [loudly]: THANK YOU!
California Towhee 2 [softly]: Thank you very much! Thank you very much!

Alice to California Towhee: California Towhee?
Coyote: Coyotes say, Don’t have any relationship with the Mountain Lions.
Coyote to Alice: Dharm Dee, Don’t be talking to the Mountain Lions at all. Listen to my Beautiful Wife.

Alice: Well, uh …
Beautiful Coyote Wife to Alice: Ok, ok, Don’t talk to that Mountain Lion at all.

Alice to Readers: … I think that Mountain Lion’s coming
down this way over the edge of the hills over there?

Alice to Readers: Usually I don’t go back right away, but I thought I [had] better go back right soon.
Coyotes and Bobcats: Oh, no! He is HERE right NOW! He is HERE right NOW!

Alice to Wild Animals: Who is that talking there? You know? …
Mountain Lion [very low, jocular voice – very hard to hear]: I am not going to eat you right now.

Alice to Wild Animals: Whose is that woman’s voice?

Female Mountain Lion [melodious voice] to Alice: That’s the Female Mountain Lion.
Female Mountain Lion to Male Mountain Lion: Will you back it up?
Male Mountain Lion [gruff, deep voice] to Female Mountain Lion: No, I WILL NOT! SPEAK for yourself!
Songbird: Hear, hear!
Another Songbird: Hear, hear!
Alice to Readers: Oh, that’s a Female Mountain Lion.
So, What happened was this …

I said, “Um, I think the Mountain Lion’s coming over this way.” And then the Male …

… Mountain Lion over there, it said, “Yes, it is.” And then I heard a female voice, …

… a mammalian female voice. It said, “Yes, it is. Yes, I think that’s what is …

… happening.” And so I asked who that was, and she said, “That’s the Female Mountain Lion.”

I just [have] to go quickly back now. It’s been an eventful day, …

… hasn’t it?
First Dog to Alice: Yes.
Alice to First Dog: Who’s that?
First Dog: Bad Dog!
Alice to First Dog: Hi. Hi. Hi, Dog. Dog. Dog. Hi, Dog.

Hi, Dog!

Alice to Readers: Not a very talkative Dog.
First Dog to Alice: Nope!
Alice to First Dog: Yes, it is? No!
First Dog to Alice: No, it isn’t! Nope!

Alice to First Dog: I won’t take a picture of the Dog. I said I wouldn’t. Would I do that? Ah, Would I do that?
First Dog to Alice: Ok!

Alice to First Dog: Never!

Alice to Readers: Now I’m going to be very quiet and I’ll see what the animals have to say … Bye!
California Towhee to Alice: THANK you!
Dog to Alice: THANK you very much! … Ok, then.

Raven to First Dog: COVID-stricken said goodbye!
First Dog to Raven: I am not that way! [or else (sarcastically), “Thank you very much.”]

Alice to Readers: I … Well who was that? Raven said, “COVID-stricken said goodbye,” and Dog said, “I am not COVID-stricken.”

Alice to First Dog: That’s true. You’re not. You’re a Good Dog … Strong Dog with a deep voice. Right?

Alice to Raven: I heard that!
Raven (faint and far away) to Alice: Ok, so you heard that!
California Towhee exclaims in surprise.

Alice to Raven: Won’t you try to help that Dog be courageous. He has to fight the Hawk, you know …

… like you, right?
Raven to Alice: I don’t care about that Dog!
Alice to California Towhee: Hey, California Towhee! I’m thinking about you.

Alice to Readers: I’m being quiet here. I’m listening.
Raven to Alice: NOT THAT QUIET, ALICE CLAGETT!
[Alice chuckles.]

Alice to Readers: Raven just said, “Not that quiet, Alice Clagett.”
[Alice chuckles.]
Did you hear that? Raven says my name. I don’t know why.

Alice to Readers: Ahah! Raven says first person to talk to us was Alice Clagett. That’s not entirely so,  …

… but right out here it might be true.
Raven to Alice: That is NOT NOT NOT RIGHT!

Story About Native Americans

Alice to Wild Animals: On the Native American reservations where the First Peoples dwell …

… The First Peoples who lived here dwell there … They know how to speak with the animals.
Raven to Alice: I want Dharm Dar to stop talking right now, right now, right now!
Mountain Lion to California Towhee: This is the Mountain Lion, and I say this horrible woman
should not talk to those people in the mountains at all.
California Towhee to Raven: Would you PLEASE let her speak?
Raven to Alice: Dharm Dar Not Talk!
Alice to Wild Animals: This big mountain range right here, it goes to a place … it goes to a …

… place where some Native Americans are, and they can talk to you.
California Towhee to Alice: What will they be saying to me?

Alice to California Towhee: And there’s another place. Where is that? In Malibu Creek State Park over there. No, in …

… Gillette Ranch, sometimes the Native American people,  …

… go over there to talk to the people, too. But there’s a lot of people there, …

… Human Being people … so you might not get a chance to talk before or after.

Male Mountain Lion to Alice: Are there Mountain Lions there? … No?! … Then I will go over there and make myself at home with the Native People.

[Alice to Readers: Things are getting wildly off track here. I meant California Towhee, not Mountain Lion.

Today’s seminal discovery: I gather Mountain Lions are good at remote voice projection as well as clairaudience and remote viewing (also known as clairvoyance).]

Alice to California Towhee: Did you hear that? They’re very quiet people.
Alice [listening]: That was a Native American person.

California Towhee to Mountain Lion: She says, Don’t do that! She says, Will you please not do that!
Alice to California Towhee: He says before or after the people are there, he can talk to them. Yes!

He’s a good person. He won’t hurt you, I don’t think.
California Towhee to Mountain Lion: She says, Will you please stay HERE?!
Duck to California Towhee: Got that!

Alice to California Towhee: Did you hear that? He said he absolutely will not hurt them. Over at King Gillette Ranch …
Groundhog to California Towhee: Where is it?
California Towhee to Groundhog: It’s right over there!

Groundhogs: It is right over there!
California Towhee to Groundhogs: You can go there!
Alice to Wild Animals … sometimes … You can ask when it is …
Ask the Nandays. They know everything. First Peoples!
California Towhee to Alice: I’ll admit they DO know everything!

Alice to Wild Animals: Native Americans exhibits!
California Towhee: Right over there!
Alice to Wild Animals: And there are Native Americans there that can talk to you.

California Towhee: They’re right over there!

Female Mountain Lion Cub: Beyond the mountains over there.
California Towhee: That is right; you can FLY!
Male Mountain Lion to himself: Native Americans! Those Native American people don’t want me around their property at ALL!
California Towhee: That is the way that they feel!
Nanday: Ex-ACT-ly!

Alice to Nandays: That’s right. The first Native American people!
Alice to Readers: That’s the Nandays. They got it!
Nanday to Alice: Yeah! WE got it! We GOT that!

Alice to Nandays: Yes, That’s right. They …
Nanday to Alice: Yep!
Alice to Nanday:Yes, that’s right. And far, far away,
in the same mountains, …

… there’s another group that can talk to you. Other places too.
Nanday to Alice: We GOT it!
Nandays to Alice: We GOT it! [spoken over and over again, with an expletive or two thrown in]

Alice to Nandays: That’s right. Native Americans.
Nanday to Alice: That’s IT!
Alice to Nandays:That’s it. Native Americans.
Nanday: Native American! THAT’S IT!
Alice to Readers: The Nandays just said that.

Alice to herself: Oh, my my!

Attempting the Wrap

Alice to Readers: God bless you all, and keep you safe, and be with you through all your days. In love, …
Mountain Lion (with a light and lively sense of humor): I AM getting CLOSER!

Alice to Readers … Light and joy, …
California Towhee to Mountain Lion: Let Alice speak!
Nanday to California Towhee: Not THAT Woman!
Alice to Readers: … this is Alice B. Clagett.
California Towhee to Nanday: Why not let her?
Alice to Readers: I Am of the Stars.
Raven to California Towhee: She’s not that good!

California Towhee: Yes, She is that good!
Alice to Readers: And so are you!
Nanday (dissing): An a-MAZ-ing thing!
Another Nanday: Yep, yep!

Blue Avian Star Species Fizzle

Alice to Nandays: They say the Blue Avian Star Species are overlighting you.
Nanday to Alice: DID NOT!

Alice to Nandays and to California Towhee: They look like the color of the sky at night.
California Towhee to Nanday: She says they did.
Nanday to California Towhee: DID NOT!

Alice to Nandays and to California Towhee: I like them too. They’re so sweet! Yeah they are! They’re so sweet!
California Towhee to Nanday: She loves them too!
Nanday 1 to California Towhee: They don’t have any WINGS!
Nanday 2 to Nanday 1: Yes, They HAVE them.

Nanday 1 to Alice: They’re not SWEET!
Nanday 2 to Nanday 1: They ARE that way!
Nanday 1 to Nanday 2: No they’re NOT!
Nanday 2 to Nanday 1: Yes, They ARE!
Nanday 1 to Alice: They are not that SWEET! They just LOOK sweet!

Alice to Nandays and to California Towhee: They just help. That’s all. They’re not you.
Nanday 1: They don’t HELP us!
Nanday 2: Why not?
Nanday 1: They don’t mind them EATING us!
[It looks to me like the Nandays have gotten the Blue Avian Star Beings mixed up with Human Beings?]
Alice to Nandays and to California Towhee: They just help us. Why do they help us?

Alice to Nandays and to California Towhee: Because of the Hawks and the Mountain Lions and all the bad things. You know?
Nanday 1: Really bad people! They’re bad people, Dharm Dee!
[I think Nanday 1 is referring to skirmishes over rights to human food crops. I will admit this is n issue that needs to be resolved.]

Alice to Nandays and to California Towhee: We need help. I need help. You guys are strong. You don’t need help.
Nanday 2: Bad, bad people!
Nanday 1: Right! Bad, bad people!

Dear Ones,

This video has surprising Songbird intel about the diet of Mountain Lions at Paramount Ranch. I found out later that the Songbirds may not distinguish between Mountain Lions and Bobcats, and that in this instance they may be referring to Bobcats. Go figure!

“The Mountain Lions (or Is It Bobcats?) Are Eating Snakes?”
By Alice B. Clagett

[IF YOU TURN YOUR AUDIO TO HIGH you can hear the Birds talking.]

Oh, I just heard the most incredible thing from the amassing young Mountain Lions over there. [Could this be Bobcats, I wonder?]

I said, “What are you eating?”
They said, “Rabbits and Snakes and things like that.” And I said, “You eat Snakes?”
And they said, “Yes.” I said, “How do you do that?”

They said  … I know you’re not going to believe this. I find it relatively unbelievable, too … they said, “We pick up a rock and throw it at them.”

I said, “How do you pick up a rock?” And they cast me a clairvoyant image … as they’re all too good at doing … showing how they had a rock, a sizable rock, in their mouth. ‘

And I guess they’re just going to throw that rock at the …
[Alice to Songbird:] is it a Rattlesnake?
[Hummingbird to Alice: It’s a Gopher Snake.]

[Songbird to Alice: Yep! It’s a GO-pher Snake and not a RAT-TLE-snake.]

Alice to Readers: They go for Snakes that are not poisonous.
[Alice to Mountain Lions:] “Do you ever kill it?”
Alice to Readers: No, they don’t. And now it’s beginning to sound more interesting and more possible.
[Hummingbird to Alice: I get that too.]

INTRODUCTION

Dear Ones,

I got up the nerve to stop by Paramount Ranch in the Santa Monica Mountains of California to see if the Mountain Lion danger had abated. Here is what I found out.

There is a Summary after the video …

SUMMARY OF THE VIDEO

“Where Are Mountain Lions at Paramount Ranch Right Now?’
By Alice B. Clagett

Yes, I’ve been talking to everybody today. I talked to the Nandays. I talked to the Turkey Vulture. He didn’t have much to say. I talked to the Hawk. They both had beautiful flights, but not much to say. And I talked to a lot of Ravens.

The Ravens are sounding real rough and tough … like Superman mean guys … just as they are at my place right now. I asked them where the Mountain Lions are right now because I’m at Paramount Ranch, you know? And from way over there … I’ll show you … There’s Paramount Ranch.

And from way over there [slightly east of Southeast], the Ravens said: “They’re over here now.”

And I said: “Reagan Ranch?”

And they said, “Yes, Reagan Ranch.”

Then later … later they amended that. They said: “Around there” … ‘Around there’ might be Malibu Creek State Park too and it might be Gillette Ranch, but I don’t think so.

Then I asked them … since I’m on the road for Paramount Ranch … I asked them how far I could walk (right?) and they’ve been guiding me.

Priorly I couldn’t do this, but now they say I can walk all the way up to the entrance road here …. right there … but no farther. Then I have to come back. So, I’m going to walk that far up. Before, that was off limits. I asked them a time or two, not just once, and they agreed on this … to walk this far.

As you see, down this way where the truck is … right there … I asked them if I could walk that far. And [I asked] the Coyote Man way down here, an older Coyote, a grown Coyote guy … I said: “Why?” And it said: “Because they’re amassing down here. Who ever knew that a grown Coyote Man could know the word ‘amassing’. That’s a dangerous word, and a really advanced human word, in a way. Well, so now I know: Amassing.

So what I’m going to do is walk back and forth from the Ranger Station to the road for a time or two. That should be safe.

You can see over here by the creek … this [shows plant]. I think you’ll find that might be Hemlock. Hemlock’s extremely poisonous and Socrates was forced to commit suicide by drinking a cup of poison Hemlock because the local people didn’t agree with his theories about philosophy. Luckily, such is not true in modern day Los Angeles.

I went back towards the Ranger center. And, hesitantly, a House Finch from over in the riparian zone asked me very, very quietly … you would never hear it on tape … It asked me: “What does ‘amass’ mean?” ‘Amass’. And I explained that ‘amass’ means ‘gather together in a group’. Might be four or five; it might be two or three. ‘Amass’ … make a mass of beings.

Nanday says that’s right. ‘Amass’ means ‘get together’.

And so from the Ranger Station, … Alice to Nandays: “Nanday, Nanday!”

Alice to Readers: “Three Nandays.”

Alice to Nandays: “Beautiful big Nandays!”

Alice to Readers: “Tough Nandays. Really tough Nandays.”

Alice to Nandays: “What’s up?”

Alice to Readers: Huh! A voice from over [at] the Ranger Station wanted to know where they [the amassed Mountain Lions] were. So, I said it was over by the parked truck over there.

And then I had a hunch I should ask how old they were. And someone over that way, the Coyote Lady, that was it … the wife of Coyote Man the Apex Coyote, said: “Not too big, but they’ve amassed together.”

So I asked the person in the Ranger Station … on the telepathic plane, I asked: “How big do you think they are? Are they a year old, or like that?”

And that person, [who] sounded like a man, said: “Six months.”

I opined at that point that the weather conditions, the Super El Nino coming up this year, might make it possible for those small young Mountain Lions to survive. [On the telepathic plane, I felt he said the people at the Ranger Station thought so too.] So I guess we’ll see what happens.

. . . . .

COMMENT: Later on that day I found out that the ‘amassing’ individuals might be Bobcat kittens … ‘Bobkittens’ … and not Mountain Lions at all.

MORE INFORMATION: WHY WAS SOCRATES CONDEMNED TO DEATH?

Dear Readers: Why do you think Socrates was condemned to death? Do you figure, as do I, that his death was an act of scapegoating after Athenian politicians’ loss of face in a brutal, long lasting war?

I asked Google AI: Why was Socrates condemned to death?

Google AI said: Socrates was executed in 399 BCE because he was found guilty by an Athenian court of “impiety” (asebeia) and “corrupting the youth”…

While the official charges focused on religious and moral grounds, his execution was heavily motivated by underlying political factors:

  • Religious Impiety (asebeia): He was accused of failing to acknowledge the state’s recognized gods and introducing new, unauthorized spiritual practices…
  • Corrupting the Youth: His relentless questioning and philosophical method forced young aristocrats to critically examine—and often publicly mock—their elders and societal traditions…
  • Anti-Democratic Ties: Athens had recently emerged from a brutal civil war following the reign of the “Thirty Tyrants”—a short-lived oligarchy. Several of these tyrannical leaders were former students or close associates of Socrates. Many Athenians viewed his teachings as politically subversive and a threat to their newly restored democracy…
  • Aggravating the Court: During the trial, Socrates showed no contrition and famously refused to compromise. Instead of offering a standard plea for leniency or accepting exile, he proposed that he should be rewarded by the state for his services to philosophy, which ultimately provoked the jury to hand down the death penalty…

You can explore primary accounts of the trial and the philosophical debates surrounding his death in texts like Plato’s Apology … https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trial_of_Socrates ..

I asked Google AI: What students were these?

Google AI said: The three main students and close associates whose actions directly fueled the public rage against Socrates were Critias, Alcibiades, and Charmides …

While Socrates taught many loyal citizens—including the philosopher Plato—the Athenian public focused heavily on these wealthy aristocrats who turned against the democracy: …

Critias: He was Socrates’ most infamous student and the brutal, de facto leader of the Thirty Tyrants. During their brief eight-month reign of terror in 404 BCE, Critias ordered the execution of roughly 1,500 democratic citizens, confiscated massive amounts of private property, and exiled thousands more …

Alcibiades: A brilliant, charismatic, and wealthy young general who was widely considered Socrates’ favorite companion. During the Peloponnesian War, he defected from Athens to their bitter enemy, Sparta, providing them with military secrets that ultimately crippled the Athenian war effort. He later defected to Persia before briefly returning to Athens, leaving a legacy of profound political betrayal …

Charmides: Plato’s uncle and another devoted member of Socrates’ inner circle. He was appointed by the Thirty Tyrants to help govern the Piraeus (the harbor area of Athens) and actively participated in the regime’s violent suppression of democratic factions until he was killed fighting them …

The Public Perception

Because of the general political amnesty passed in 403 BCE after the democracy was restored, prosecutors could not legally execute Socrates for past political crimes. Instead, they used the vague charge of “corrupting the youth” as a proxy. To the average Athenian juror, Critias and Alcibiades were the ultimate proof that Socratic teachings produced treacherous, anti-democratic elitists …

If you want to investigate how contemporaries viewed this connection, you can read the historical accounts written by his other famous student, Xenophon, in the Memorabilia …

Would you like to know more about how Socrates interacted with the Thirty Tyrants while they were in power, or how Plato defended his teacher’s reputation after the execution?

I asked: And what has this to do with the Peleponnesian war?

Google AI said: The Peloponnesian War directly caused the political paranoia that cost Socrates his life.

The catastrophic 27-year war between Athens and Sparta ended in a humiliating Athenian defeat in 404 BCE—just five years before Socrates’ trial. The Athenian public blamed the disaster entirely on the treasonous actions of Socrates’ closest students, creating a climate of bitter resentment.

  1. Alcibiades Destroyed the Athenian War Effort

Socrates’ favorite student, Alcibiades, fundamentally altered the course of the Peloponnesian War through ultimate betrayal.

  • The Sicilian Disaster: In 415 BCE, Alcibiades convinced Athens to launch a massive, expensive invasion of Sicily.
  • Defection to Sparta: Right before the campaign began, political enemies in Athens accused him of religious sacrilege. To avoid trial, Alcibiades defected to Sparta.
  • Treasonous Advice: He gave the Spartans critical military advice, telling them to fortify Decelea (cutting off Athens’ primary food supplies) and to send a general to help Sicily.
  • The Result: The Athenian army in Sicily was completely annihilated, losing thousands of men and ships. It was a crippling blow from which Athens never fully recovered.
  1. Sparta Imposed the “Thirty Tyrants”

When Athens finally surrendered in 404 BCE, the victorious Spartans abolished the Athenian democracy.

  • The Puppet Regime: Sparta installed a brutal, 30-man oligarchy to rule the defeated city, known as the Thirty Tyrants.
  • Socratic Leadership: As noted, this bloodthirsty regime was led by Critias and Charmides—both prominent students of Socrates.
  • The Terror: The Tyrants stripped citizens of their rights and executed roughly 1,500 democrats to cement their power, leaving the city deeply traumatized.
  1. Socratic Teachings Were Blamed for the Loss

To the devastated people of Athens, losing the Peloponnesian War was not just a military failure; it was a moral and divine punishment.

  • They believed that Socrates’ skepticism had undermined traditional civic duty, patriotism, and respect for the gods.
  • The fact that the man who crippled their military (Alcibiades) and the men who terrorized their citizens after the surrender (Critias and Charmides) were all educated by Socrates was seen as undeniable proof that Socratic philosophy was a danger to the state.

When the democracy was restored in 403 BCE, the citizens were desperate to prevent another coup or war. Because a legal amnesty prevented them from punishing people for war-time political treason, they targeted Socrates using the trial as a way to cleanse the city of the perceived “root cause” of their wartime ruin.

You can read more about the military history and social devastation of this conflict in Thucydides’ classic text, the History of the Peloponnesian War.

I asked Google AI: How was the 30-man oligarchy overthrown?

Google AI said: The 30-man oligarchy that ruled Athens (known as the Thirty Tyrants … https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thirty_Tyrants …) was overthrown in 403 BCE through an armed rebellion led by the exiled Athenian general Thrasybulus …

The regime was toppled by a sequence of precise tactical and political moves:

  • Securing a Foothold (Spring 403 BCE): Backed by democratic supporters and mercenaries from neighboring Thebes, Thrasybulus’ exiled forces captured the heavily fortified border fortress of Phyle [ … https://www.academia.edu/figures/12453500/figure-3-phyle-fortress-ground-plan-wreebe-pl … ]
  • Capturing the Port (Spring 403 BCE): The rebels successfully marched on and occupied the strategic port city of Piraeus …
  • The Decisive Battle: The oligarchs’ forces, led by their extremist leader Critias, attacked the democrats but were driven back. Critias was killed in the fighting, which threw the Thirty into total disarray …
  • Deposal by the Oligarchs: Following Critias’ death, the moderate hoplites within the remaining 3,000 oligarchic citizens deposed the surviving members of the Thirty and replaced them with a new 10-man ruling committee …
  • Spartan Withdrawal: The isolated oligarchs formally appealed to their Spartan benefactors for help. However, the Spartan King ultimately rejected intervening, effectively abandoning the ruling clique …

Peace and Reconciliation: After a subsequent skirmish, a peaceful settlement was negotiated that led to the complete restoration of Athenian democracy later that year, alongside an amnesty agreement to prevent further bloodshed.

Google AI asked: Would you like to explore how Socrates himself acted during the Peloponnesian War as an Athenian soldier, or how Plato reacted to the fall of the democracy?

AI can make mistakes, so double-check responses.

I said: How did Socrates act during the war?

Google AI said: During the Peloponnesian War, Socrates acted as a highly courageous, resilient, and fiercely loyal Athenian combat soldier …

Far from being a detached intellectual who avoided danger, he served as a hoplite—a heavily armored infantryman fighting on the front lines in several major, brutal campaigns. According to records by Plato and Xenophon, his conduct on the battlefield earned him a reputation as a literal war hero …

  1. Exceptional Physical Endurance …

Even into his 40s, Socrates astonished his fellow soldiers with his intense physical and psychological toughness: …

  • Immunity to Hardship: During the grueling, multi-year winter siege of the Battle of Potidaea, he marched barefoot over ice and wore only his standard light cloak while other soldiers wrapped themselves in heavy furs …
  • Unbothered by Scarcity: When army supply lines failed, he went days without food or water without complaining, seemingly impervious to hunger …
  • Deep Focus: Soldiers reported that he would occasionally stand perfectly still in one spot from dawn until the next morning, completely locked in deep, meditative philosophical thought while the war raged around him ..
  1. Battlefield Heroism

Socrates fought in three major campaigns—Potidaea (432 BCE), Delium (424 BCE), and Amphipolis (422 BCE)—consistently demonstrating extraordinary bravery: …

  • Saving Alcibiades: At Potidaea, when his young and wealthy student Alcibiades was wounded in battle, Socrates stepped in, defended him against a crowd of enemies, and carried him to safety. Though nominated for the state’s highest award for valor, Socrates insisted that the prize be given to Alcibiades instead …
  • Calm Under Fire: At the Battle of Delium, the Athenian army suffered a catastrophic defeat and panicked. While others fled in terror, Socrates walked away with a steady, fearless stride, glare-shielding the retreating troops. General Laches later remarked that if every Athenian had behaved like Socrates, the battle would never have been lost.

…

  1. Political Courage at Home

Socrates’ wartime duty extended to his civic responsibilities in the city, where he proved he would not back down to any regime: …

  • Defying the Democracy: In 406 BCE, he was randomly selected to serve in the Athenian assembly. When the public, gripped by wartime hysteria, demanded a mass, illegal execution of eight naval generals who failed to rescue drowning sailors, Socrates was the lone member to vote against it, refusing to violate the law for a mob …
  • Defying the Tyrants: When the Thirty Tyrants took over at the war’s end, they ordered Socrates and four others to arrest an innocent democratic citizen named Leon of Salamis to execute him. Socrates simply refused, ignored the order, and walked home, risking his life to avoid committing an unjust act …

The Irony of His Trial

During his trial in 399 BCE, Socrates explicitly cited his military record to the jury. He argued that just as he had loyally stood his ground on the battlefields of Potidaea, Delium, and Amphipolis under the orders of his generals, he could not now desert the philosophical post given to him by the gods …

If you are interested, I can detail how the primary sources (Plato vs. Xenophon) differ in how they depict his bravery, or explain the specific philosophical arguments Socrates used to justify obeying his military commanders.
