INTRODUCTION

Dear Ones,

I heard about a new word today: Sidelining.

WHAT DOES SIDELINING MEAN?

I asked Google AI: What does sidelining mean?

Google AI said: “Sidelining means to exclude someone or something from an important activity, making them feel unimportant or preventing them from participating, like a sidelined athlete who can’t play or a worker whose key tasks are removed. It can also refer to a secondary job (a ‘sideline’) or, in film, musicians appearing on camera. Essentially, it’s about putting something/someone to the side, away from the main action or importance.

In general/social contexts:

  • Exclusion: To push someone out of a group, decision-making, or activity.
  • Marginalization: Making someone feel less significant or relevant in a project or situation.
  • Example: A manager sidelining an employee after a disagreement, giving them less important work.

In sports:

  • Benched: A player kept from playing due to injury, poor performance, or team decision, often watching from the sidelines.

In business/jobs:

  • Secondary income: A job or business done in addition to one’s main occupation (e.g., photography on weekends).
  • Film/Music: ‘Sideline musicians’ are hired to appear on camera (miming) in movies, distinct from recording.

Other meanings:

  • Physical: A line marking the side of a playing field.
  • Railways: A short track alongside a main one (a siding).

In most modern usage, `sidelining` implies a deliberate act of removal from the central action or importance, often negatively.”

HOW ARE PEOPLE SIDELINED?

I asked Google AI: How are people sidelined?

Google AI said: “People are sidelined through subtle exclusion, like being left out of meetings/emails, having roles reduced, or input ignored, often masked as ‘normal’ workplace dynamics, leading to less influence, fewer opportunities, and feelings of invisibility or being demoted, affecting careers and mental well-being, with underlying biases often playing a role in marginalizing diverse perspectives.

Workplace Sidelining (Common Methods)

  • Exclusion: Not invited to key meetings/emails, left out of informal chats, or group activities.
  • Reduced Influence: Your ideas are dismissed, credit is stolen, or you’re micromanaged; input isn’t sought.
  • Stagnant Growth: Consistently passed over for promotions, training, or challenging tasks; moved to less vital projects/teams.
  • Communication Breakdown: Less frequent or direct communication; withheld information.
  • Undermining: Receiving excessive negative feedback, being held to different standards, or having your ‘style’ criticized.
  • Invisible Labor: Being expected to do menial tasks (like making coffee) while others discuss projects.

Beyond Work (Social/Systemic)

  • Social Exclusion: Being ignored, ostracized, or made to feel like an ‘other’ due to cultural differences or `otherness`.
  • Systemic Barriers: Lack of access to resources, opportunities, or basic services due to socio-economic, cultural, or political factors.
  • Bias & Stereotypes: Being sidelined because of your background, gender, or perceived personality (e.g., ‘too direct’).

What it Feels Like/Results

  • Demoralization, lack of motivation, and low confidence.
  • Anxiety, depression, or emotional distress (especially in sports/career shifts).
  • Feeling unheard, untrusted, or that your contributions don’t matter.

What to Do (General Advice)

  • Document: Keep track of instances.
  • Communicate: Have direct, respectful conversations.
  • Advocate: Speak up for yourself and your inclusion.
  • Seek Allies: Build relationships with supportive colleagues.
  • Evaluate: If things don’t improve, consider moving roles or organizations where you’ll be valued.”

Alice’s Analysis: I see from this that I have been sidelines about a zillion times in my life without actually grokking in its entirety what was happening to me. If I had known I might have said, ‘Say, I feel I’m being sidelined. Can we talk about it?’ … or something like that.

WHAT TO DO IF I AM SIDELINED IN MY PERSONAL LIFE OR IN MY CAREER?

I asked Google AI: What to do if I am sidelined in my personal life or in my career?

Google AI said: “When sidelined in life or career, focus on self-compassion, regain control by setting small goals, and proactively communicate to understand why (career) or reconnect with others (personal); then, either strategize for growth within the current situation (upskilling, networking) or plan an exit if the environment is toxic, using this time for healing and discovering new interests.

In Your Career

  1. Seek Clarity: Talk to your manager to understand why you’re being sidelined (visibility, performance, politics) and what’s needed for inclusion or promotion.
  2. Increase Visibility: Ask for specific responsibilities, volunteer for key projects, and ensure your contributions are known.
  3. Develop Skills: Use downtime to learn new things, aligning with future goals, and create a plan with your manager for advancement.
  4. Network & Explore: Connect with your professional network and explore new opportunities, maybe even finding roles valuing your strengths more.
  5. Manage Emotions: Keep resentment in check, focus on your strengths, and consider if the organization is right long-term if things don’t improve.

In Your Personal Life

  1. Practice Self-Compassion: Acknowledge the pain, allow yourself to grieve the situation, and don’t blame yourself for feeling unproductive.
  2. Take Ownership: Recognize the choices you do have in how you react and shape your future story, rather than dwelling on what you can’t control.
  3. Reconnect & Rebuild: Invest time in family and supportive friends, as they often get pushed aside during busy times.
  4. Find New Purpose: Use extra time to meditate, focus on nutrition, try new hobbies, or pursue things you’ve always wanted to do.
  5. Seek Support: Talk to a therapist or counselor to process feelings and learn coping mechanisms for emotional turmoil.

General Strategies for Both

  • Set Small Goals: Break down large objectives into tiny, achievable steps to build momentum and positivity.
  • Focus on Health: Prioritize your mind-body-soul well-being, as it’s foundational for resilience and recovery.
  • Create a Routine: Establish a daily structure with productive, positive activities to feel in control and motivated.
  • Follow Your Intuition: Don’t jump to the next trend; instead, tap into your inner guidance to find truly aligned paths forward.”

Alice’s Analysis: Google’s advice sounds quite reasonable to me. What do you think about it?

CONCLUSION

I see from the above that the word ‘sidelining’ has a game-playing connotation. If a player is kept from playing during a game (if he is ‘benched’) he is said to be sidelined.

I asked Google if sidelining is a form of Bullying; Google averred that it is. Thus I added Sidelinging to my Bullying category under the subcategory ‘Game playing’. Here is the revised Bullying subcategory …

PSYCHIC IMPRESSIONS EMBEDDED IN MUSIC

I channeled these words as I heard the great music by Daniel Massa that is in this post. I think they are psychic impressions embedded by the musician in the music. I wonder if you can hear these words too? …

“Rain is falling down.
I’m walking in the rain, and I’m wet.
I’m walking in the rain, and I got wet.
Without the rain, I would not be wet.
On the other hand,
Without the rain,

The people would be dead.
I don’t mind
Walking in the rain.

And then at the end of the music I heard:
On the other hand,
I don’t mind
If the rain would stop.”

There was another time when I heard psychic impressions embedded in music. That was in the 1990s. As I recall the album was “Woolunda: Ten Solos for Didgeridoo” (1993) by David Hudson. IN the Australian Aboriginal culture, ‘Woolunda’ is the place of life after death. Here are highlights from the “Woolunda” album …

Video: “David Hudson – Woolunda (Ten Solos For Didgeridoo),” by BLISS, 28 April 2023 … https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6q9KC-B4JGY ..

I was playing the music loudly, and sitting right on the floor of my apartment right in front of the speaker. What I heard was the whispered words ‘My People … My People … My People.” I heard these words over and over again.

I had never heard of psychic impressions overlaid on or embedded in music before. I was so amazed by what I had heard that I phoned the artist and asked if I had heard right. He laughed and said, “Well, MAY-be.” I was amazed he would speak with me at all; he was quite famous even way back then.

And then on the other hand, I feel it is good to steer clear of very famous people. That’s a sure path to a personal inferiority complex … and surely is no way to escape being sidelined. Don’t you feel it to be so?

INTRODUCTION

Dear Ones,

Today I took a look at noted psychologist Carl Yung’s work on the theory of individuation with a notion of comparing it to my own work, and to my role as Lightworker, and to its possible helpfulness to those who hope to attain expanded Awareness for enjoyment of New Life on New Earth during this time of Ascension for Earth and all the beings under her care.

To be completely truthful I had not given Yung’s work more than a cursory glance priorly on the theory that deep study of traditional psychology might stifle my hope to channel useful innovations in the world’s understanding of the Mind … and of techniques to Master the Mind.

I had hoped to find a way to transform our Awareness that might easily be accomplished by all Lightworkers and by all those now involved in the process of Ascension. The outcome of this expectation of mine is my course on how to master the mind that begins here …

Link: “Mastering the Mind and the Human EMF: 0. Introduction and Content,” by Alice B. Clagett, written and published on 16 April 2016; revised on 12 February 2019 and on 18 June 2022 through 31 October 2022; revised on 20 August 2023 … https://wp.me/p2Rkym-56Y ..

Currently that course is free for all my Readers to read or view and to undertake as a part of their own lives.

Getting back to Carl Jung’s work … As you may know, Yung had a theory called ‘individuation’ that is part of the experience that I as a Lightworker have had. Sometimes people who have not yet started on the journey to individuation sense that individuated people are different and think of them as mentally ill. I feel they may do this because they feel the social norm to be mentally sound, and people outside the norm to be mentally unsound.

Carl Yung himself, along with psychoanalyst Sigmund Freud, was, I feel, a person who had been through the process of individuation. Most people feel these two people to be leaders in their field, so Yung’s idea that individuation prepares a person for an exceptional role in the world … despite the fact that the process makes the person different from many other people … can be seen to hold some merit.

FIRST VIDEO ON CARL JUNG’S THEORIES ABOUT INDIVIDUATION

I found a video online a description of Carl Yung’s theories about individuation …

Video: “If You’ve Faced Any of These 8 Signs, You Have an Extremely Rare Personality | Carl Jung,” by Soul and Shadow, 27 July 2025 … https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I7fy3dQlrQ0 ..

It is easy listening and, I feel, a good explanation of individuation. I like that the video is upbeat and inspiring. I note there are quite a few typos in the online text, but I feel this to be a relatively minor issue.

There is a more important issue with regard to Yung, I feel. As a Lightworker, I feel his theories are overly dependent on the left brain … on analytical and logical thinking. As well, there is too much emphasis on negative thoughts and emotions.

Lightworkers emphasize positive emotions such as love, Light, joy, appreciation, and gratitude. We don’t dwell on negative emotions.

Then as to brain function, we are whole brain thinkers, not left or right brain thinkers. What we think often has to do with channeling … bringing into our own minds, energy fields, and bodies information from higher sources … for instance, from beings on our Ascension team, or even from God Himself. We do this through our Awareness, and our willingness to ‘ask up’ … to ask the Unknown within and around us questions for which our personal experience and our own minds have no answers.

Those are some of the differences between Yung’s notions about individuation and the Lightworkers’ experience of expanded Awareness, of Awakening, of Ascending to New Life on New Earth.

In comparing my work with that of Jung, I see from the above-referenced video that he looked into the topics of …

  • Empathy (per Jung video, ‘psychic permeability’)
  • Psychic abilities and paranormal events (per Jung video, ‘psychic sensitivity’),
  • Neutral mind – stillness – witnessing – compassion (per Jung video, ‘heightened conscious reflection’),
  • Pariah – outcast – shunning (per Jung video, ‘social isolation’, ‘outcast status’
  • 01 – 02 – 03 – SUBCONSCIOUS MIND – Lower Mental Body – Gut brain (per Jung video, ‘unconscious participation’),
  • Transformation – personal alchemy (per Jung video, ’emotional alchemists’),
  • Timeline jumping or surfing – multitiming (per Jung video, ‘temporal displacement’),
  • EMF sensitivity (per Jung video, ‘too sensitive’),
  • Cosmic mind  … and …  Buddhic or Christ consciousness  … and …  Soul evolution (per Jung video, ‘consciousness evolution’),
  • 10 – Monad (Awareness – Eternal Now) (per Jung video, ‘self-awareness’) … and …
  •  Transformation – personal alchemy (per Jung video, ‘personal transformation’)

ANOTHER VIDEO ON CARL JUNG’S THEORY OF INDIVIDUATION

Then there is another video about Carl Jung’s understanding of the individuation process ..

Video: “How To Become Whole (Carl Jung & The Individuation Process),” by Einzelgänger, 25 September 2019 … https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OZCyUb0RIRc ..

From this video I see that Carl Jung defined individuation as absorption of the unconscious mind into the conscious mind, as do I.

For more on my own take on the topics in this video, see my blog categories …

  • 001 – 006 – UNCONSCIOUS MIND
  • Collective Unconscious – unconscious thought cloud of the world
  • 01 – 02 – 03 – SUBCONSCIOUS MIND – Lower Mental Body – Gut brain
  • 05 – 06 – 07 – CONSCIOUS MIND – Higher Mental Body
  • Stories – myths – visions – legends
  • Archetypal images and sounds
  •  Ego – higher self
  • Mind  … and … Mastery of mind  (per second Jung video, ‘psyche’) …
  • Social mask (per second Jung video, ‘persona’) …
  • Soul wounding – Soul clearing – core star energy … and …  Savage man – primitive man … and … Transcending the Dark – courage under fire – spiritual warfare – demon wars … and … Dark Attacks … and …  Descent of the Dark (per second Jung video, somewhat similar to ‘shadow’)
  • Sacred Sexuality  … and …  Divine Feminine – Divine Mother – Mary Magdalene … and … Divine Masculine  … and … Sexual repression  … and …  Crossdressing – transvestite – transgender (per second Jung video, somewhat similar to ‘anima’ and ‘animus’ … his terms ‘toxic masculinity’ and ‘toxic femininity’ also are relevant)

USEFULNESS TO LIGHTWORKERS OF CARL JUNG’S CONCEPT OF INDIVIDUATION

It is good to keep in mind that the esoteric lore is replete with references to individuation … which that lore sometimes terms ‘individualization’. In the esoteric lore, as I recall, individualization is felt to be a state of Awareness attained by human beings, as opposed to other animals. The rationale is, as I recall, that human beings have individual Souls and that other animals have group Souls.

I myself like Yung’s concept of individuation better, as I feel many human beings prior to Earth’s Ascension lived life somewhat unconsciously, rotely even, by adhering to social norms out of fear of appearing to feel different.

I like the above-reference videos for Lightworkers who are taking some heat from folks ‘out there in the world’ who feel they are ‘mentally ill’ or ‘mentally disturbed’. If the truth be told, some folks will verbally barbecue everyone they feel to be different from themselves.

When we experience this untutored and hurtful response to Ascension teaching we can bring up that it is a form of verbal abuse. I say this because the term ‘verbal abuse’ is PC these days, and might help end the roasting thoughts that are cast our way.

On the other hand, slinging back to an unschooled person the PC term ‘verbal abuse’ is, I feel a negative response.

For close friends, one might try: That hurt me. “Please don’t use that term again.”

For antisocials or narcissists, one might try: “Every time you speak like that to me, I will walk away and absent myself from your company for 30 minutes!” … I got this idea here …

Video: “Boundaries don’t WORK with Narcissists!” by Jimmy on Relationships, 18 May 2024 … https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gtfkWR_cDLg&list=LL&index=1 ..

For psychologists and psychiatrists … especially those hired by us … one need traipse about Carl Yung’s concept of individuation warily, as it is clear many psychologists and psychiatrists are not yet on the journey toward individuation.

What they have not experienced they may not be able to recognize in us. Consequently they may … through ignorance of the individuated quantum leap of Awareness … find themselves trapped in the notion that we have fallen into mental illness. As their notions about us carry some weight in the world, it is important to exercise due diligence in deciding whether to consult them, whom to consult, and how to interact with them.

For our fellow Lightworkers and for those on the Ascension track, one might use Carl Yung’s concept of the journey toward individuation as a first step in explaining Lightworker and Ascension lore. That is my intent in the current post.

CONCLUSION

In general, I feel we might use Jung’s understanding of the process of individuation to prepare those on the Ascension path for what they will be encountering during their Ascension process.
