Meditation on the Deep Inner Heart to Create an Auric Shield . by Alice B. Clagett

Published on 18 March 2014; revised and republished on 3 February 2018

Dear Ones,

I have been on a hunt for the Hridaya Chakra, the deepest and most sacred energy of the heart chakra. As with many things in the spiritual realm, there’s disagreement about it’s location.

Some folks feel that Hridaya is a name for a minor portion of the Anahata, the heart chakra in the center of the chest.

Some texts mention a point in the physical heart, to the left of the main heart chakra, and within the physical heart … They term this the Spiritual Heart or the Hridaya. I recall that Bill Ballard has succeeded in attaining this point of Awareness, and that he has found it to be a pretty spectacular spot on which to place the Awareness. (1)

I have my own ideas about this … I felt that the Hridaya might be a point deep within the Anahata … not a minor point, but the most important point in the human electromagnetic (EMF) array. On that supposition, I recently I tried meditating at heart level, at a point between the center of my chest and my back at heart level. To avoid confusion, I will call this the Deep Inner Heart.

What happened next was amazing … The world became very still, as if that physical point were ‘ground zero’ … the center of the Universe, and all the sensory array … what I saw and heard and so on … were flowing forth from this zero point energy. What a feeling! (2)

I was struck by the shape of the energy I felt … it was like the shield we often see behind the statues of the Buddha. It was behind my back, just touching the back of my body, and connected to it through that physical point I was concentrating on.

Here is a picture of the Buddha with a shield very like what I felt …

Image: Gilt Bronze Shakyamuni Buddha Statue, with a shield of energy behind the Buddha … https://www.npm.gov.tw/att/exbit/04000459/b_08009736.jpg ..

Intuition told me that I would begin to feel the energy of my Deep Inner Heart, the ‘shield’ energy … more and more in my physical body if I continued to practice this meditation. I also got the feeling that the shape of the shield was just a ‘first contact’ shape. That my Deep Inner Heart energy was, in fact, much more huge, and that I would experience it in different ways as time goes on.

Further, I got a warning feeling not to move farther behind the front of my body at heart level, in my Awareness … not to concentrate my attention just outside and behind my body at the level of the heart. I tried it anyway, being the curious sort … The alarm bells started ringing in my bodily sensations, and the visual field started to turn black. I stuck with it for a minute, but there was nothing behind my backbone worth exploring.

The whole experience, I gather, lies in the connection between the Deep Inner Heart and the physical body … in other words, bringing the energetic shield, the protective energy of the Deep Inner Heart, into the physical body.

In love, light and joy,
I Am of the Stars

Ascension Guide – Body of Light – Soul Field . by Alice B. Clagett

Written and published on 21 March 2014; revised and republished on 7 January 2018

Dear Ones,

I took an online class from Daniella Breen … https://daniellambreen.com/ … recently. Gosh, was it terrific! During the class she introduced me to my guardian angel and my Ascension guide … I mean, she actually did … I cannot imagine how … introduce me to these two beings, and now I am able to call back their energy into my presence any time. This is so very out there for me that I have been struggling to find words for the experience.

My guardian angel is such a sweet, feminine, angelic presence, such a comfort to me.

My Ascension guide is quite different … a being of Light, who has been through many incarnations. He asked me to relate to him as he was in a specific incarnation … as a masculine presence in a paternal role. His energy of that incarnation and his ‘being of Light’ energy have joined mine in my pranic core (aka the pranic tube, pranic column, central vertical power current, kundalini, antahkarana, silver cord, or silver thread) … the tube of energy that runs vertically through the middle of my body. I sensed immediately that his energy completed my own, and would help me clear the distortions of my Light body … what are sometimes known as samskaras or karmic miasmic distortions.

As I have mentioned in an earlier blog, last time I meditated, I called my guardian angel, and she touched my right hand!

So then I called my Ascension guide, and could very clearly feel his blending presence in and above my auric field. Gosh, I thought, this Ascension guide must be resplendently large. How nice that he wants to hang out with me here on the physical plane! I was reminded of the pictures of the Buddha sitting under the bodhi tree … as if the Buddha represented my physical body, and the bodhi tree this wonderful being of Light that has been hanging out with me, helping me clear, and guiding me.

Image: Buddha sitting under the Bodhi tree, with blue background …  http://data.whicdn.com/images/58843423/15080_630082873675118_1648347003_n_large.jpg ..

Lots of times the Buddha is depicted under the bodhi tree, but the pictures usually leave out the top of the tree, like this …

Image: Buddha sitting under the Bodhi tree, not showing the top of the tree …  https://iamofthestars.files.wordpress.com/2018/01/e1313-buda.jpg ..

This is an interesting thing … we tend to relate only to the energy all around our body, like the trunk of the tree is to the left and right of the Buddha in the picture. But what if our energy … the energy of our Higher Self, to which my Ascension guide is helping me connect … is far higher … and maybe far lower … than that?

What if it is a whole starry sky of energy that belongs in our Soul field? Or the entire Light grid of Earth? Or a ‘tree trunk’ of Light that extends upward to the very Source of All? Point is, our body of Light and our Soul field may be lots bigger than we envision … At least as tall as a sapling tree, for starters. That is pretty easy to envision.

I am with Lord Buddha, and my Ascension guide on this! I love the beauty and grandeur of my own tree of life.

In love, light and joy,
I Am of the Stars

Dear Ones,

I got this kriya (yoga set) from the Buddha in June of 2012 while Paul Nugent and the Aetherius Society were chanting “Om mani padme hum” at The Onion in North Hills. Believe it or not! Do the first hand position for 22 minutes, and the last hand position for only 3 minutes at the end. (But if you do not feel like meditating for that long, it is quite all right to do the meditation for just a few minutes.)

I published this kriya a while back on youtube. In the last few days I have had the feeling it might be good to put it on the blog, that it might be needed right now. So here it is. There is a Summary after the video …

SUMMARY OF THE VIDEO

This is the mudra for vast compassion and immutable peace. The mantra is “Om mani padme hum.” Hands are in gyan mudra. It goes like this: [speaks the mantra].

Here are photos of the mudras in the video. For most of the chant this is the mudra …

Dear Ones,

Wesak celebrates Gautama Buddha’s birthday, his enlightenment and his passing away.

It is the energy of the Buddha and the Christ into which Earth is passing during the Great Awakening. We children of Earth are ascending in vibration and emanation, along with our mother Earth, into this beautiful state of consciousness.

In love, light and joy,
and with a special Wesak blessing for each of you,

Dear Ones,

THE FUTURE ROLE OF MEN

I see it can be very hard for men in these days of the great change. In aeons past, they have been the great Protectors, the Wise Shepherds of this World.

In future, what shall their role be?

Image: “Christ in Majesty,” ceiling mural, National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception … http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3003/2740495458_26ecc8c3f0.jpg ..

MEN AND SEXUALITY

I had an interesting experience the night before last. My EMF (electromagnetic field) was huge, gigantic really. Joined to me in an etheric act of sex was a man.

Though he felt he was the only man, I sensed many men there too, each with a different woman.

Though each man felt he was the man performing this act, and each woman felt she was the woman performing this act, yet I sensed each was my own Soul, performing this act with my own physical body.

In one sense, we cause the act of sexual delight, each with another partner.

In another sense, we are the Cause, and we are the Partner.

In another sense, there is no Cause and no Partner, and yet, there is that Experience of Supreme Joy.

I had a vision once, in the early 2000’s. I was meditating in an Indian-style temple. It was during a long evening meditations, interspersed with some beautiful kirtan.

There was a courtyard outside. Both day and night it sparkled with blue white light, not just down near the ground, where people walked, but high up into the sky.

In my vision, Lord Krishna sat in the courtyard. His etheric essence filled the courtyard, shimmering out into the temple and the parking lot, and higher still. He held his hand out in front of him, at heart level, cupped.

In his hand sat a person playing kirtan, completely immersed in Divine love. The picture above reminds me a little of my vision.

MEN AND DESIRE

The fire of desire may seem uncontrollable. But Divine Masculine is its master!

The Shift occurs on realizing that the object of desire lies not outside us, but within us.

Desire begins to be felt, not by our body toward another person, but by our Soul toward our Human Form.

So Desire becomes manifestation of the Divine in this physical form. Fulfilled ceaselessly, in Highest Joy, as an act of creation, in the Now. (2)

Rather, to me it seems this is a picture of the One God, at one with His Creation.

So then, as a man identifying with Godness, how can he look down on woman, who is one with him?

Is it not true that a woman bore us?
Who then is higher? Who lower?
If we are That, is She not the Source of That?

Guru Nanak wrote a beautiful prayer about this. See Link: “Raag Aasaa Mehala 1,” by Guru Nanak, Page 473 … http://www.srigurugranth.org/0473.html … Search the term: From woman … and then read the following text.

Why do we sometimes see demons and devils? How can we send them off to God? Here is a video by me, followed by an edited Summary of the video. The Postlude features the music of Chris Zabriskie and images of sunset.

VIDEO BY ALICE

SUMMARY OF THE VIDEO

Hello, Dear Ones, It’s Alice.

I have a gesture that you can use, in case you feel that you’re seeing or sensing or hearing demons. You know, the Buddhists are very conversant with the Demon World, and they spent a lot of time, in the sacred texts, writing about the state of mind that we need in order to avoid demons.

And the problem with demons is, that they cause leaks in our energy field, so that the true magnificence of our Souls cannot shine forth as well as it is intended to do. So, as we proceed on the path of enlightenment and self-realization and awareness, what frequently … in fact, probably most of the time … happens is that our LIght … the Light of our Souls … becomes much brighter than the Light of people around us.

And in the fourth dimension, it attracts the attention of Demons. Not that they are not all around, everywhere, anyway … but when you really start practicing, the Demons really start noticing.

So that is why the sacred texts of many religions explain what to do; because people on the Spiritual Path need to know this thing.

  • This includes Christian texts, and the power of Prayer, and Selfless Service, and Recollection, and Contemplation, and Meditation, for instance, in the Christian way.
  • And in the Hindu way, it includes the power of devotional singing and chanting, the way of bhakti … and other ways, too. They have a whole science about it. Bhakti is a very pleasant way to avoid demons, because that Sound … that Sacred Sound … is always going in the back of our heads.
  • Then in the Buddhist texts, I was reading, the other day, about the way that we can cultivate our minds, so as to have a mind that is so clear … so devoid of snags and hooks and attachments and desires, and all that, that demons cannot get a toehold.

So there are all these teachings out there to help us: Prayer … prayer is immensely important. And lifting ourselves up to the notion of the Divine, because where the Divine is … where Christ is, where Buddha is, where the notion of Brahma becomes a true thing in our lives, where we walk the path of the Dharma, where we feel the presence of Lord Krishna … Those are not spaces, in any Dimension, where any Demon can be.

But nobody is perfect. And, on the Spiritual Path, people do run into Demons, Devils, stuff like that, every once in a while. So I was very pleased to find out about this very eloquent and very simple gesture that a person can do.

Gesture of Warding: Offering Demons Up to God

The complete gesture of warding is this: The person is standing up. The hands are cupped, palms up, in front of the body at the level of the navel point. Then the arms are slowly and gracefully spread wide in a sweeping arc, and find their way together above the bowed head, with the cupped hands raised like a chalice just over the bowed forehead, as the right foot is placed forward and some weight is placed on the right foot. You will notice that the hands are cupped, as if you are holding water in your hands. But what is really happening there is that you take the demon energy and you offer it up to God. Then the right foot is placed back near the left foot as the hands once more arc wide away from the body, and are lowered to a resting position by the sides.

I think it is a Buddhist gesture to offer the energy of the Demons and of the Demon world, up to God. So I will just step back and show it to you. You will notice that the hands are cupped, as if you are holding water in your hands. But what is really happening there is that you take the demon energy and you offer it up to God …

DESCRIPTION: In this, the third part of the gesture, the person is standing, feet shoulders’ width apart. Hands are relaxedly cupped, palms up, arms spread out from the sides of the head at the level of the crown chakra …

COMMENT: I think this is a Buddhist gesture to offer the energy of the Demons and of the Demon world, up to God.

3-Minute Meditation to Tranquilize the Mind . by Yogi Bhajan . referral with comments by Alice B. Clagett *

Written and published on 7 October 2014

  • THREE-MINUTE MEDITATION TO TRANQUILIZE THE MIND
  • THE KUNDALINI RESEARCH INSTITUTE “CRISIS KIT”

Dear Ones,

THREE-MINUTE MEDITATION TO TRANQUILIZE THE MIND

Here is a Meditation to Tranquilize the Mind, from the teachings of Yogi Bhajan. It takes only 3 minutes, and works very well for feelings of anxiety occasioned by sensitivity to solar events. It is useful as an adjunct to traditional medicine …

Link: “Meditation to Tranquilize the Mind,” originally taught by Yogi Bhajan on 28 February 1979, at Healthy, Happy Holy Organization … https://www.3ho.org/3ho-lifestyle/health-and-healing/meditation-tranquilize-mind ..

This is one of the most effective meditations I know of to tranquilize the mind. I used to use it while teaching beginner kundalini yoga classes many years ago. Nearly instant peace of mind, wow!

Take care to place the fingers in position exactly as described.

The link mentions chanting a mantra. A mantra is a word or word phrase used to regulate one’s own mind. The words of each mantra have a particular quality, rhythm, and effect. In the case of this meditation, since the mantra is to be repeated 11-21 times, all on the same breath, I always used to pick a pretty short mantra. Here are a few possibilities:

“Allah”
“Jehovah”
“Sat Naam” (meaning ‘truth is my name’ or ‘truth is where it’s at’)
“Om” (a name for God immanent and transcendent)
“Amen” (meaning ‘so be it’)

Of course you can use a longer mantra, too. A few examples:

“Jesus Christ, Lord of the Universe” or
“Jesus, Light of My Life” or
“Mother Mary, pray for me” or
“God, please guide me”

But if you use a longer mantra, you will want to repeat it less than 11 times … just keep within your comfort zone.

Keeping within the comfort zone is important for everyone, and especially so for young people and for expectant mothers. I figure, I cannot expect to feel my heart and live my life from love if I cannot allow myself always to be in my comfort zone.

THE KUNDALINI RESEARCH INSTITUTE “CRISIS KIT”

Here is a wonderful yogic resource for psychological self-help in times of crisis, when no psychologist or psychiatrist, and no psychopharmacologic medications may be available …

Link: “Crisis Kit,” by Kundalini Research Institute … http://www.harisingh.com/KRI_Crisis_Kit.pdf ... good for both men and women, I feel.

I note these sections in the “Crisis Kit” …

  • Kriya to Throw Off Stress
  • Withstand the Pressure of Time [or maybe ‘of the Times’ ?]
  • Meditation for Absolutely Powerful Energy
  • Meditation to Fight Brain Fatigue and Live Your Excellence

  • Meditation to Tranquilize the Mind

Nature Spirits Part 3: Faeries and Animals . by Alice B. Clagett

  • SUMMARY OF THE VIDEO

Dear Ones,

Here is the third of five videos on the nature spirits, the faeries, and the Devic Realm.

This video is about the relationship of faeries to animals and insects. There is also a little about visits by the Buddha, Shri Neem Karoli Baba Maharaj ji (2), and the angelic realm to a Krishna Das concert (3) held at Tara Mandala Retreat Center (4) in the outskirts of Pagosa Hot Springs, Colorado. There is a lightly edited Summary after the video.

There’s a typo in one of the captions for this video: It says “na Das:  http://www.krishnadas.com/ ” and it ought to say “Krishna das: http://krishnadas.com/

By the way, if you only have time to see ONE video on Faeries, skip to this blog …

SUMMARY OF THE VIDEO

I was heading off to a Krishna Das Concert (3) out at the Buddhist Retreat Center near here (4), and I was travelling with a couple of friends. And the nature spirits were talking to each other. The couple were completely absorbed in talking with each other, so the nature spirits started up, right? And when it came time to … I do not know if I should tell you this …

But see, the nature spirits are friends with all the animals and insects, and like that. And they like to play with them. They love them very much … even bears. I have talked with them about bears. I am not totally partial to bears, but they say that bears are their friends, and bears are just wonderful, and they just love bears. And so, I am revising my opinions about all animals, because they love them so much.

And so, we were sitting in the car … to avoid the mosquitoes … eating our dinner. And outside was this beautiful scene at the Buddhist Retreat Center, of flowers and wilderness and like that. And the faeries were talking to me. They were so happy to be there! And the people there saw what is known as a ‘hummingbird moth’ by one of the flowers. And they loved it so much! … The faeries brought in about six of them, all at once … The place was just full of hummingbird moths. It was great!

And so anyway, I want to come back to today, ok? … because the concert was great; it was terrific. There were all kinds of beings of Light and Love there. And the people were all so enthralled with higher consciousness, it was really wonderful.

But however, there was quite a lot of clairaudient chatter for me the whole time. And with different entities … with humans …

The nature spirits were standing far off from the building. They said: We don’t go where people go!

And so, I have to agree, it is just not the kind of thing for them. You know?

So then, going back to the concert, let’s see, who was carrying on there? There were people [on the astral plane]. Some ascended masters stopped in … Maharaj Ji, briefly (2) … I do not know if you know him. He is one of Krishna Das’s favorites. The Buddha blessed us with a little rocket shower of golden light, three times, right before the concert began. And angels came in; the angels were wonderful.  It was a very high evening.

After the concert, as I came back to the place where I stayed tonight, there was some discordant clairaudient chatter … [continued at …]
