INTRODUCTION

Dear Ones,

This video is about two Ravens. They are saying goodbye to the Sun as it gets lower in the sky. The word they use is: “Walk! Walk! Walk!” … as in: “Goodbye, Mr. Sun. We see you walking away. We cheer you on as you westward journey. Though you disappear from our ken, yet we send our happy good wishes with you!”

I let the Ravens know that a geostorm will arrive any minute. I tell them not to worry about it. It seems there was no need to speak of this. The Ravens don’t seem at all fazed by the news.

In general, Ravens feel that emotions such as worry are less than useless. If there are ever a people who believe in living in the moment, the Raven clan are that people!

Next in the video there appear what seem to be two Raven shapes. in the sky during a geostorm. One of the Raven sky shapes is gray and made of clouds; the other is white and made of a clearing through which the Sun peeks amongst the clouds ..Rave reviews from the Songbirds! – Listen to what they have to say …

Raven: Walk!

Alice to Ravens: Let me get the both of you [in the picture]. Wow, look at the two of you!

Raven: Walk!

Alice to Raven : Wow!

Raven: Walk!

Alice to Raven : Wow!

Raven: Walk! Walk! … Walk! [and etc.]

Alice to Raven: I’ve got to tell you something. There’s going to be a geostorm any minute. So don’t worry about anything. It will only be for a little while. Ok?

Songbird (repeating): There’s a Raven in the sky. Look!

Alice to Ravens: Hey, check this out. There’s a cloud in the sky that looks like a Raven flying. Can you see it?

Songbird (interested): There’s a very big Raven … It looks like a Raven in the sky.

Alice to Ravens (simultaneously): Well, It did a minute ago, anyway.

Songbird (continuing): Yes! It is a very big image of a Raven.

Alice to Ravens (simultaneously): Looks like a Raven flying.

Songbird (chiming in): Yep. It does. A big one. Big one.

Alice to Ravens: Here we are. The geostorm has arrived, they say.

Songbird: Right! It’s a GEO-storm.

Alice to Ravens: I can hardly see the Sun.

Songbird 1 (excited): I SEE it. I see two Ravens in the sky.

Alice to Ravens: It’s right there.

Songbird 1 (excitedly): I REALLY see the Ravens.

Alice to Ravens: I’m just not seeing it.

Songbird 1 (simultaneously): Yep, yep, yep. There it is.

Right there! There is a very big Raven in the sky.

Alice to Ravens (simultaneously): Kind of looks like a [second] Raven flying too, right there.

Songbird 2: WHAT?

Songbird 1 (excitedly): LOOK! Look at that great big Raven over there!

Songbird (excitedly): There’s a Raven there.

CONCLUSION

Bird Culture Includes an Understanding of Representational (Figurative) Art and Ritual Dance

The interesting thing about this video is that Songbird 1 sees the Raven shapes in the sky before I do. I didn’t know that Birds could see representative images. I had thought they could only see concrete images.

Seeing representative images is a great step forward in the evolution of a species, I feel. The species moves from simply seeing the physical world to the realm of art and culture.

I have seen further corroboration of the advancement of Bird culture to the realm of art and ritual in the Raven Sweetwater Courtship dance …

I note that I didn’t explain the word ‘geostorm’ well enough and Songbird 1 may have naturally leaped to the conclusion that the odd, curdled clouds in the sky were what I termed ‘geostorm’.
