Call to Action: Can Viruses Be Cured with Perfect Pitch? . by Alice B. Clagett *

Written and published on 3 April 2018

Dear Ones,

As you may know, with mini-clairaudient skills we can tune in to the speech of microbes. I do not do that often, but a month or so ago I was listening to the voice of … could you believe it? … a virus. And it sounded ‘stickery’ or ‘scratchy’ and off-key.

Would anyone be willing to test and find out whether perfect pitch audio bytes can cure viruses (or, as we Ascensioneers say, ‘transform them to the Light’) ? I noticed these perfect pitch videos on youtube (no doubt there are others) …

Link: Perfect Pitch videos by the youtube channel “Music in Space”  … https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCHhMu16bh8b35Rr31ByfHFQ/videos?shelf_id=3&view=0&sort=p ..

If I had a cold, for instance, I might search around for one of these that suddenly and inexplicably relieved my cold symptoms, then play it for a while … Just a wild guess here …

Or maybe the Solfeggio frequencies might transform a virus to the Light? Here is one video clip that might be good for a test run?  (There are quite a few more on youtube) …

Other possible viral infections to test: flu, bronchitis, pneumonia, hepatitis, measles, rubella, chickenpox, rabies, herpes, HPV (the cause of warts), HIV (AIDS), and so on …

Dear Ones,

I have been looking into hepatitis and HIV, which I feel are currently under-tested and underdiagnosed, both among our transient community and among our community at large, including newborns, preschoolers, and elementary school children.

HEALTH INSURANCE: HEPATITIS AND HIV

It looks like Medicare and Medicaid may or may not cover the needed tests and treatments, depending on what coverages you have, and what state you live in.

It looks like undocumented immigrants aren’t covered …  See https://www.medicaid.gov/medicaid/outreach-and-enrollment/downloads/overview-of-eligibility-for-non-citizens-in-medicaid-and-chip.pdf   …

Insurance Testing Costs

I recently had an annual blood test done, and it came back from the testing laboratory (which is the major supplier of test results in the Los Angeles area) with a $980 price tag, apparently because it had not passed through my typical health insurance hurtles. Surely we must find a more reasonably priced source of laboratory testing than this.

There was also an unexpected, but much more reasonable, charge from my doctor’s office for treatment.

Henceforth I will ask about the cost before getting tests or treatments at a doctor’s office, so as not to be taken by surprise after the fact.

HEPATITIS

Vaccines

It looks like hepatitis A and B vaccines are available, and recommended.

I read that there is no vaccine for hepatitis C, but testing is recommended for people born between 1945 and 1965, and there is a treatment. See http://www.immunize.org/catg.d/p4075.pdf

Testing

Blood tests are available.

Treatments

For hepatitis A, treatment consists of bed rest, abstinence from alcohol, and medications for symptomatic relief.

Drugs are used to treat hepatitis B and C. If there is liver failure, then liver transplants are suggested, so I expect early detection and treatment might be important.

HIV / AIDS

Vaccines

Apparently, currently no vaccine has been proven effective against HIV: See Link: “HIV Vaccine” in Wikipedia, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HIV_vaccine ..

Testing

It looks like annual tests for HIV are recommended. It may be difficult to convince your doctor’s office to test you for HIV, if they feel you are not at high risk, according to the criteria provided to them.

I recently had the experience of summoning up the courage to ask my doctor’s office to test me for HIV; then the doctor’s office said they had done so. I later called, and the office said I had negative test results … meaning I had not been exposed to HIV.

Then I got the test results from the lab, sent to me as a separate bill by mistake, and it looked like I had not been tested for HIV after all.

Then I called the doctor’s office, and they reversed their position; the new answer was that I had not been tested after all.

My thought on this is that doctors may be dealing with the social stigma of HIV / AIDS testing, just as are the rest of us. In this case, it could be that my doctor decided I didn’t need the test, and that a little white lie would suffice.

California Laws about Doctors Reporting HIV Incidence and AIDS Patients’ Names

I’ve read, in a 2003 document, that California doctors were being required to report positive HIV diagnoses to the California Department of Health (but not the name of the positive person). I also read that, at that time, doctors with patients diagnosed with AIDS were required to report their patients’ names to the California Department of Health. (1)

I feel this law about reporting a patient’s name to the California Department of Health had to do with social stigma about AIDS being a disease of M2M men, intravenous drug users, and sex workers. That incidence among youth and women is low, may have to do with their being overlooked in testing because of risk factor indicators. The military may also be more at risk than it was previously thought to be.

That social attitudes towards this illness are becoming more understanding is evidenced by a new California law to go into effect 1 January 2018, reducing the offense of a HIV-positive person having sex with someone without telling them from a felony to a misdemeanor.

If the name reporting law is still true, it may be one reason why doctors are slow to test for HIV or AIDS at their patients’ request.

Home Testing

If testing is not covered by your insurance, or if you aren’t able to convince your doctor to test you, then reasonably priced test kits may be bought at Rite Aid or CVS.

The saliva test, I’ve read, is only 90% effective, and one must wait a month after possible exposure before testing. However, if you pay for it in cash, out of concern for the social stigma of so much as taking such a test, and if you pick a pharmacy far from your home, or get someone else to purchase it for you, then you may be at less risk of exposure to social stigma through loss of anonymity.

The blood test is more expensive and said to be more accurate; it must be sent off to a lab for the results, and so, unless you send the test under someone else’s name to the lab, there woiuld be greater risk of loss of anonymity.

Treatments

For those diagnosed with HIV, I have read that ongoing traditional medical treatments, even while asymptomatic, increases life expectancy. (2)  The difficulty is, these treatments may or may not be covered by your health insurance.

Prognosis for Infants and Young Children. Further, the prognosis for infants and young children who contract HIV apparently is less optimistic than that for adults who contract it. Despite this, I feel that we must do all that we can to preserve the good health of our children who have had the misfortune of being exposed to the HIV virus.

Importance of Keeping Young Children Alive, in Case Some Have Genes That Are More Immune

I’ve read that, here and there in the world recently, there have been suggestions, or even policies, of euthanizing AIDS babies. This type of policy must surely be based on the short-term goal of cost cutting, more than on the welfare of these children, who, I feel, deserve to live out their lives, no matter how short. That human life is very precious is one of my core beliefs.

On Development of Disease Resistance in a Population During the Course of a Pandemic.

From the standpoint of humankind as a whole, and looking to our future: There are bound to be some AIDS babies who are immune, as with any pandemic, and these children will be our hope for the future, if they are not euthanized, but instead provided with the best possible health care. (3)

During the influenza epidemic of the early 1900s, for instance, many Americans of all ages died of the flu, but those who survived had greater immunity. Thus today, very few people, except for the very young and the very old, are likely to die of the flu.

In the same way, in future days, we will no doubt be a nation with far greater immunity to hepatitis A, B, and C, and to HIV / AIDS.

Suggestion to Establish AIDS Babies Foster Care Programs

Sometimes moms of AIDS babies are unable or unwilling to care for them. In that case, I wonder if maybe a few children could be placed with foster parents … maybe even HIV positive foster parents? … who might receive a financial supplement for their care.

If there are states or counties that are unable or unwilling to set up foster care programs for these children, then I wonder if other states or counties might be willing to undertake their care. Perhaps a non-profit such as the Red Cross might be willing to set up such an interstate care program, for these very vulnerable children?

In love, light and joy,
I Am of the Stars

Hepatitis and HIV / AIDS Stigma: Shaking Off Fears and Planning for Our Well-Being . by Alice B. Clagett

Published on 9 October 2017

Dear Ones,

One of the most difficult things about hepatitis and HIV / AIDS is social stigma; concern about what others may think can be paralyzing in a way.

I feel there are lots of folks in the same boat on this, but everyone feels isolated from everyone else, either because they’re afraid they might get hepatitis or HIV, or because they or someone they love has one of these diseases.

It looks like the key is to realize these are community health issues, and not ‘point the finger’ issues, you know? The more we talk together about our concerns as a community, I feel, the better off we will be.

Fortunately there are some new publications available that point the way to getting around this difficulty about social stigma …

Community Health: Our Children and Crime in the Cities . by Alice B. Clagett

Published on 2 February 2016

Dear Ones,

I would like to propose a possible solution to crime in our large cities. I see a trend for young people to be overly dependent on electronics … as others have observed, to live life ‘virtually’ instead of relating to their peers, family, and community as physical people, face to face.

This has led them to devalue interpersonal relationships, to feel that their interactions with people on the physical plane are just ‘a computer game’, as it were.

Their lives are like a dream of physical reality. It is this dreaming that leads them to drug use as early as preschool. Clairly, one can see the hovering about of drug peddlers near elementary schools. They are there, waiting for the children to get out of school for the day … waiting to sell them drugs from the seat of their car parked at the curb.

They are hiring third graders to sell drugs to first and second graders in playgrounds and parks.

Why do the children buy these drugs? I think it may be because of the electronics … the handhelds and so on … that cause them to live a ‘virtual’ existence … a dreamy existence half way between 3D (the physical world) and 4D (the astral realm). It’s but a small step from a handheld to drug use. Drugs are just a deeper kind of dreaminess.

So now, in the large cities of Earth, the first and second graders are becoming addicted to drugs. How will they pay for them? By robbing their parents, or by breaking into cars after school, or as they get older, by ‘graduating to the bigtime’ and robbing homes.

Also they pay with the only coin that they have, and that is the use of their own bodies by the drug dealers. And so, our children are in danger, in this way or else through intravenous drugs use, of getting STDs, even HIV or hepatitis.

When cars and homes are robbed by the young, they are looking for the thing they hold dear, the cause of their virtual explorations, and that is electronics. And also, jewelry and cash.

We of the older generations are concerned that the young have ‘gone virtual’. Yet we do not know what to do about it. Here is my thought on this …

What if we were to cease to use electronics? If we did, we could set an example of family life for the young. We could become more interactive with our children, our grandchildren, and community. And in addition, there would be nothing in our homes or cars to steal (provided we do not keep electronics, cash or jewelry there).

If there is nothing to steal, then the children will not be able to buy drugs. If we get involved with their lives and do activities with them, instead of just watching TV, then that will also help the situation.

Also, I feel, it would be good for those with very young children to offer them advice about the risks of drug use, and about STDs. Preschool would not be too early an age, I feel.

I welcome your thoughts on this topic.

HEPATITIS C AND THE OPIOID EPIDEMIC IN THE UNITED STATES

Here is good info on Hepatitis C (HCV); apparently only 1% of cases are diagnosed. HCV incidence is increasing because of the expanding opioid epidemic in the US. HCV can lead to death; but if it is treated with antiviral meds, it can be cured in 90% of cases. The trick is to test for it in time …

Also, among injection drug users (IDUs), many have both HIV and HCV …

Hepatitis C is considered to be a health problem throughout the globe. Worldwide, there are 71 million carriers. Every year, there are 1.75 million new cases. For more on this, see …

FIVE TYPES OF HEPATITIS AND THEIR PREVENTION OR TREATMENT

There are five types of hepatitis; they are contracted in various ways. Hepatitis A and B can be prevented with vaccines; the United States is not at risk for these, but travelers to other countries are.

HOW TEENS WHO USE INJECTION DRUGS CAN GET HIV AND HCV BECAUSE CLEAN SYRINGES CANNOT BE OBTAINED

Teenagers can avoid pregnancy by using contraceptives. Using condoms helps them avoid STDs. Injection drug users who use clean syringes can avoid hepatitis and HIV transmission. But injection drug users often cannot obtain clean syringes, either because laws prevent it, or syringe sellers, will not sell to them, even though it is legal. And so, teens may share syringes without a thought to safety. Or they may use bleach to clean them for reuse, and the cleaning may be insufficient. Or they may pay much more than is necessary to buy syringes on the black market. Or they may ask acquaintances who are diabetic to provide them with syringes.

The highest prevalence is in south Africa; Russia is next highest. Some of the lowest incidences are in southeast Asia. Most of South America, and all of Central America, Canada, and Australia are in the moderately low range. The United States, including Alaska, is in the mid range.

WHO feels strongly that a good approach to HIV prevention and treatment is to work toward reduction of harm. WHO has come up with suggestions for needle and syringe programs. They also suggest opioid substitution therapy.

VIDEO BY ALICE

SUMMARY OF THE VIDEO

Hello, Dear Ones, It’s Alice.

I thought I would talk a little about a topic I have been hearing for years now on the psychic plane. I do not have any personal experience of it, but I think it might be helpful for some readers to hear my thoughts on the topic; which, I think, are only part of a large number of points of view on this topic.

As I said in the last blog: What am I here for, on Earth, but to plant my feet on the ground; to be myself, and express myself? … Especially here in America, where freedom of speech is the basis of this nation. So I feel comfortable to talk to you, and I understand completely that you may have a very different point of view.

Life Expectancy of Those Infected with HIV

The topic in this blog has to do with HIV, and being at risk for HIV. Because I keep hearing on the internet about this, I was doing some research with the Centers for Disease Control on the topic of HIV and longevity.

Adults Who Become Infected. I found out that people who have that virus … if they are treated for it with the most modern medical techniques, ongoing, that they have a life expectancy well into their seventies. See …

Link: “HIV life expectancy ‘near normal’ thanks to new drugs,” by

This applies to people who contract HIV in adulthood rather than childhood, as I understand it.

Children with HIV. Life expectancy for children born with HIV is much less. For one thing, treatment options for HIV-positive children are limited, because antiretroviral doses that are safe for children have not yet been established. As well, only about half of children who have HIV are receiving antiretroviral treatment (ART).

For children who acquire HIV from their HIV-positive mothers in utero or in infancy, here is the life expectancy for those not on ART: Two-thirds survive their first year. Half survive their second year. One-fifth of HIV-positive children survive their fifth year of life.

Link: “About Paedeatric HIV,” by DNDi (Drugs for Neglected Diseases Initiative) … https://www.dndi.org/diseases-projects/paediatric-hiv/2017 data

Here are data on the number of children worldwide infected with AIDS …

Link: “UN AIDS Data 2018” … http://www.unaids.org/sites/default/files/media_asset/unaids-data-2018_en.pdf ..

Babies Born of HIV-Positive Women. It is possible for a woman with HIV to have a baby not infected with HIV. Apparently there is at least a 50-50 chance of this, even without treatment during pregnancy. However, there are precautions to be observed after the child is born. See …

Link: “Pregnancy and Birth” at “NAM AIDS Map” … http://www.aidsmap.com/Pregnancy-and-birth/page/1550310/ ..

The point that they made about this, at the CDC, is that treatment has advanced to such an extent, with regard to that virus, that people who pursue the recommended medical regimen carefully can expect to live very fruitful lives. And that is a good thing, as I see it, especially since I was alive back in the 1980s when things were very difficult for people who contracted that virus. I remember those days, and the terrible tragedies of those times.

Polyamorous Lifestyle, and Also Frequenting Sex Workers, Are Risk Factors for HIV

But anyway, I thought I would talk a little about HIV. You can look up the CDC … http://www.cdc.gov … to find out the risk factors for getting HIV. Most likely, if you pursue a polyamorous lifestyle … that means that you make love to many different sexual partners, or a number of them, or employ the services of sex workers … then that is one factor that places you at some risk for getting the HIV virus. And of course, there are other risk factors.

The Difficulties Faced by Sex Workers Who Have HIV

This section is based on astral stories; hence, fictional until the research is available …

Decreased Income. I just wanted to point out what seems to be … from the stories on the astral plane … a difficulty for people that are sex workers; if that is their career, they are at risk, I think, of getting HIV. And so the financial value of their services decreases dramatically … as I understand it from the astral plane stories … when they contract the HIV virus, if they let that be known to their potential customers.

So there is that economic factor with regard to sex workers revealing the possibility of their clients contracting this virus.

Peril to Life and Limb. Then in addition, the situation in which sex workers find themselves, it seems, at least from the astral stories, quite often is one of drug use … quite frequently alcohol use … where the customer’s desire body is more active, and their logical thought processes are dumbed down, you might say, or anesthetized to the point where:

  • if the customer’s desire is aroused by the sex worker’s presence,
  • and if they ask the sex worker if he or she has the HIV virus,
  • if the sex worker were to say: Yes, I do, then their life might be threatened because of the inebriated condition of the potential customer.

So there are two very strong incentives for a sex worker not to admit that they have contracted HIV (or hepatitis, or any number of other sexually transmitted diseases) when asked by a customer: The first is economic, and the second is the threat to their own life.

The Need for Expensive Medicines. I can only imagine the difficulties here. And there are probably many other difficulties, such as the need for constant medical treatment for the sex worker, and so there might be a desperate need for money … although it could be that Obamacare would help with that; I don’t know.

The Legal Onus on the Sex Worker to Reveal HIV Status. According to the astral stories, there is a situation where people who don’t have HIV engage in at-risk life activities, such as soliciting from sex workers, and like that, and then ask this question, and then unreasonably expect to get a straight answer about it. And yet, if the sex worker doesn’t answer clearly, then I think the legal issue is squarely on the side of the customer.

Doctors Who Untruthfully Indicate a Clean Sex Worker Bill of Health. Now in this environment … at least from what I hear on the astral plane … there are doctors who understand the situation, or perhaps even are in the situation of being at risk for HIV in their own life practices, and who will issue a clean bill of health to sex workers. And it seems to me quite likely that sex workers would know who these doctors are, through word of mouth with others who are in the same occupation.

Spread of HIV in the United States

I just wanted to offer you all my take on what is happening with the spread of HIV; I think, 1.8 million more cases every year globally, as of 2017 …

… and the prospects for longevity, and to help everyone to understand why it is that,

Possibility that the United States Might Develop Resistance to HIV, Similar to Hepatitis Resistance of South American Population

You know, in South America, where, as I understand it, there is not a lot of Western medical care, I think almost everyone has hepatitis in one form or another; there are 5 forms of hepatitis, and hepatitis is just as life-threatening as AIDS to people that haven’t built up an immunity to it as a culture.

I think in South America, because there is not that much treatment, the people who have survived getting it are more resistant to dying from it than the people in the United States (that is just a guess). If this is so, it might be a flag for the advancement of HIV in the United States: Perhaps, as with hepatitis in South America, our population will gradually become resistant to both HIV and hepatitis.

On Getting the Word Out to the Community

Getting the word out to the community is a very complex issue, partly because soliciting the favors of the sex worker are socially censured, and partly because the onus of the legal issue falls on the sex worker. It seems that the potential customer always seems to get off scot-free, you know? And yet, everyone should know that this behavior is risky. It is risky in the world today.

So I am just putting out a special plea for young people who may not know about this, who may not understand all this; and for young mothers; for pregnant women especially, who find themselves with a husband who sometimes prefers men and sometimes prefers women … a person of bisexual lifestyle … to understand the extent to which your children’s futures will be affected by your risk-taking behavior today … even if a sex worker tells you that they have a clean bill of health.

It is a community issue. It is an epidemic-mitigation issue, I think. And it is especially an issue for young people who may not have at hand all the biological facts; the facts about detection and medical treatment.

On My Meditative Lifestyle, and My Hopes for the World

This blog and the next one, the blog on the article by Drs. Leonard Apt and Kevin M. Miller years ago … these blogs do not really affect me, because I have been living a chaste lifestyle … a meditative, what you might call ‘nunnish’ lifestyle for several decades now; not by choice, but just through life circumstances. The funny thing about living a very meditative life … almost a Zen-like life of service to others, and introspection, and spiritual reading, and learning from spiritual counseling … that kind of lifestyle points out, in very bold relief, the suffering of other people; particularly people around me in my own community.

And so I thought it would be a good idea to do what I could to ameliorate that suffering, and to lift people up, through what I have found out,  on the astral plane, to be people’s concerns. That is my intention: To uplift and heal humanity, especially spiritually, but also, of course, physically.

Who can deeply study the spiritual path, or deeply pursue it, unless their basic needs on Earth are met? People need to have plenty to eat; they need to have shelter, a good livelihood at work that they love, and physical health. These are all very important. They are the foundation that must be in place before anyone can pursue a spiritual life, I feel.

So my hope is for greater community health, for the happiness of everyone in my community, and throughout the world. God bless you all!

In love, light and joy,
I Am of the Stars

HEPATITIS INCIDENCE

Hepatitis is a worldwide health concern. Hardest hit are Africa, eastern Europe, South America, and Asia, except for Japan. Incidence is as follows:

Hepatitis A

  • new cases in the United States are about 150,000 yearly
  • around the world, there are about 10,000,000 new cases a year
  • there are about 100 United States deaths every year

Hepatitis B

  • new cases in the United States are about 140,000 yearly
  • around the world, there are about 300,000,000 chronic cases
  • there are about 1,000 United States deaths yearly from liver cancer related to HBV

Hepatitis C

  • new cases in the United States are about 35,000 yearly
  • in the United States, about 3.2 million people are chronically infected
  • there are about 9,000 United States deaths yearly from liver disease related to HCV a year in United States from HCV-related liver disease

For chronic hepatitis, the highest rates are among Latinos and African Americans. This is especially likely in cities because health care facility access may be limited. Also factors in city life are crowded housing and use of intravenous drugs.
