Three Diamond Mudras . channeled by Alice B. Clagett

Dear Ones,

Yesterday evening I channeled three Diamond Mudras … the Upper Diamond, the Lower Diamond, and the Central Diamond, all of which I like very much, and hope that you will find helpful as well.

With these, as with all yoga techniques, please see check with your Western medical practitioner before practicing them, to make sure they will be suitable for you to do, considering the state of your health, and any medications you may be taking.

THREE-PART CENTRAL DIAMOND MUDRA

I will begin with the three-part Central Diamond (left, right, and pranic tube) …

Benefits

This Central Diamond Mudra has many benefits …

  • It fills the pranic reserve with vital energy;
  • It strengthens the will power;
  • It clears the heart chakra of negativity, whether the emotion is personal or projected by other people;
  • Thus it can help stabilize the electromagnetic field against the waves of hatred that have been sweeping round Earth lately, as hatred clears from Earth.
  • It links the ida, pingala, and sushumna (the three channels of the central vertical power current (the kundalini);
  • It opens up the upper Pranic Tube above the heart, making it possible to develop the quality of Unmoving Mind;
  • It balances and stabilizes the kundalini energy, vital energy, heart energy, and upper pranic tube energy
  • Thus, it prevents pass-throughs and flow-throughs by others, whether human (including antisocial personalities and Controllers), Demon, Demon half-breed (‘hybrid’), Vampiric, or Big Bads.

PURPOSE: This mudra unites heart and will: Builds vital energy, and clears heart energy. This is the crystal kundalini core energy. 

Lying on your back in ‘corpse pose’, place your left hand, palm down, on your heart, and your right hand, palm down, on your navel point. Feel both palms on your body. Then include in your Awareness the outer edges of your elbows. This is the Central Diamond, the Crystal Core of your kundalini energy.

Make your breathing long, slow, and deep. You can continue for up to an hour, or for as little as a few minutes … whatever feels comfortable to you, provided your doctor advises this practice.

How I Clair Sensed This. It seems to me that this first part of the Central Diamond Mudra draws vitality globules into the Spleen Organelle (the ida point), under the leftmost, bottom rib. From there, it seems to me, these globules are stored in what yogis term the Pranic Reserve, a subtle body organelle shaped like a rounded half-dome, the top of which touches the diaphragm, which is located just under the ribs.

So the Pranic Reserve is an area of the subtle body known as the Body of Light (which is electromagnetic in nature), where vitality globules created by our Sun are stored. This Pranic Reserve nourishes both our subtle bodies and our physical body, and accounts for the relative brightness or darkness of our Body of Light.

When the Pranic Reserve is replenished with vital energy, several things happen …

  • First, the tubule of the subtle organ known as the Spleen Organelle (which looks like a funnel whose larger, open end begins at the ida point just under the leftmost side of the lowest left rib) grows wider and full of energy; any kinks in the long, winding tube of the funnel begin to unkink; and vitality globules begin to flow through the funnel, emptying into the Pranic Reserve through the opening in the small end of the funnel.
  • Next, the will power (the navel point energy) grows stronger.
  • Thirdly, the energy of the heart chakra clears and becomes positively aspected. Where there may priorly have been negative emotions such as fear or sadness or anger or hatred, there is now a pleasant feeling of love, and in clair vision, a bright Light.
  • Fourth, the pingala point just beneath the rightmost side of the lowest right rib), plumps up with Light.
  • And last, all four points of the Central Diamond light up, as the kundalini core energy begins softly to glow and pulse with crystal, white Light.

PURPOSE: Smoothes and stabilizes vital energy and heart energy for restful sleep.

Lying on your back in ‘corpse pose’, place your right hand, palm down, on your heart, and your left hand, palm down, on your navel point. Feel both palms on your body. Then include in your Awareness the outer edges of your elbows. This is the Central Diamond, the Crystal Core of your kundalini energy.

Make your breathing long, slow, and deep. You can continue for up to an hour, or for as little as a few minutes … whatever feels comfortable to you, provided your doctor advises this practice.

Opening the Upper Pranic Tube

There is a tube in the upper part of the center of the chest, the ‘trachea’, which connects the mouth and nose with the lungs. It is through the trachea that air rushes back and forth, from the lungs to the air outside us.

This tube in the center of the chest, above the level of the heart , corresponds to the subtle body organelle termed the upper Pranic Tube.

This exercise also helps clear the high heart (located at the level of the thymus gland) and the throat chakra (the fifth chakra).

Directions. After practicing both parts of the Central Diamond Mudra, and still in corpse pose, place your Awareness on your trachea.

Continue with long, slow, deep breathing. Feel your chest rising and falling. Sense the air moving back and forth through the trachea. If it feels comfortable to do so, inhale a little more, until the lungs are full of air, and exhale very thoroughly, until the lungs are empty of air.

Continue for a few minutes, until you feel the upper part of the subtle body organelle known as the pranic tube relax and open (provided your doctor advises this practice).

UPPER AND LOWER DIAMOND MUDRAS

There are two more Diamond Mudras … the Upper and the Lower. These clear the Transpersonal Chakras and the Subpersonal Chakras, respectively.

These mudras may be done, the one or the other, on their own. Or they may be done one after the other, after doing the Central Diamond Mudra.

Upper Diamond Mudra

Also feel your heart chakra. Then include in your Awareness the outer edges of your slightly bent elbows. These are the four points of the Upper Diamond.

Make your breathing long, slow, and deep. You can continue for up to an hour, or for as little as a few minutes … whatever feels comfortable to you, provided your doctor advises this practice.

Lower Diamond Mudra

PURPOSE: Lower Diamond Mudra purifies, strengthens, and stabilizes the Subpersonal Chakras. It releases negative energy from the basal and sacral (sexual) chakras, and assists in grounding to the Halls of Amenti in the center of New Earth.

Directions. Lie down on your back in ‘corpse pose’, put the soles of your feet together, and rest your knees at or near the surface on which you are lying.  Place your hands, palms down, near your sides.

Feel where the soles of your feet touch each other. Also feel your navel point (third chakra). Then include in your Awareness the outer edges of your bent knees. These are the four points of the Lower Diamond.

Make your breathing long, slow, and deep. You can continue for up to an hour, or for as little as a few minutes … whatever feels comfortable to you, provided your doctor advises this practice.

They Can Mind Control Us as We Meditate

Through mind control, they can get people to do their bidding during meditation.

What may be meant here is that they can ratchet up a person’s samskaras to a sort of whirlwind fury, as do the jinn. This is a sort of twanging of the distortions of light in a person’s EMF, which the jinn are delighted to do for fun and mischief, but which the subtle sorcerer does with great malevolence and intention to harm humankind.

What to Do About It. For the problem of counteracting the powers of subtle sorcerers to control our minds during meditation, I suggest the following …

Susceptibility to Mind Control While Meditating Depends on Level of Gaze. Meditating with eyes cast down brings in the subconscious mind (the Lower Mental Body, in School of Theosophy terms), which is the playground of the subtle sorcerer.

Meditating with the eyes gazing straight ahead brings in the conscious mind (the Higher Mental Body, in School of Theosophy terms) and the third eye-point energies. These can be obsessed during meditation if one concentrates on the front of the forehead or the place between the eyebrows.

To avoid obsession of the third eye-point during meditation, place the awareness at the level of the mid-forehead or at the level of the eyebrows … but inside the head, in the center of the brain … during meditation.

How to Untie the 8th Chakra Bow-Tie Knot. Meditating with the eyes gazing up brings in the superconscious mind (and the Transpersonal Chakras), which can also be obsessed by the Subtle Sorcerer. Search my blog category: bow-tie knot

One of the best ways to untie the ‘8th chakra bow-tie knot’ is to consciously visualize flooding the area above the head with bright white light.

If you feel an intense pressure on the top of your head (the crown chakra) during meditation, then one of these beings may be trying to interrupt the flow of your hara line (the line that runs vertically through your body, connecting it with Sun energy above and Earth energy beneath) so that you can’t contact your superconscious mind.

If you hear this astral command: “My mind to your mind” then one of these beings may be trying to take over your transpersonal chakras, and thus stop you from thinking, or from broadcasting thoughts, or take over your mind … or worse yet, may intend to take over your mind and body.

In either case, the remedy is to this, say, “Your mind to the mind of God!” Visualize the Subtle Sorcerer, a big muscular guy, full of ego, who has been hovering over you and placing his hand on top of your head. Visualize the bright Light of God flooding down from on high, through the astral form of this evil sorcerer, down through his arm and hand, into your head, and saturating your entire body.

Deepak Chopra predicts that humankind will begin to experience its connection to the quantum field through awareness. Then we will begin to experience healing through thought, telepathy and clairvoyance. He sees a re-emergence of wisdom, an escape from the prison of the senses.

The Great Void and Me

In “The Seven Spiritual Laws of Success,” Deepak Chopra describes the foundation of creation as consciousness or potentiality. He explains that, if we align with that potentiality through which all things manifest, if we understand that our true Self is that, then we step into our true power as human beings.

In “Ageless Body, Timeless Mind,” Deepak Chopra speaks of the ‘invisible intelligence’ that forms the fundament of the visible, material world. He speaks of the empty space, or Void, inside atoms as comprising this invisible intelligence.

It is this intelligence that organizes the human body and keeps it healthy. The flow of this intelligent energy is termed Prana … or ‘life force’. Through pranayam … the ancient Indian practices of prolonging or withholding or slowing the breath … we can direct this energy to heal and rejuvenate the body.

The Great Void is not just what we greet when we pass on from this physical life. Quite the contrary! The Great Void is all around every moment we’re alive. It’s the prana in air, too … the life energy that enters our lungs when we breathe, circulates through our cells, and keeps our physical body functioning.

But the physical body, which seems so solid, is almost completely made up of the same Great Void that surrounds us. So, the great saints could nourish their bodies directly with the prana in air … without breathing. According to them, all it took was recognizing that prana is available everywhere. Even at the moment of death. Especially then!

So if we notice how the Great Void is keeping us alive, sustaining our bodies and nourishing our Spirits right now, and in every moment, how are we going to be frightened of that same sustaining, uplifting and nourishing force at the moment of death? Not possible! But the trick is … how to notice it right now?

I’d like to talk to you today about Desire and the place where many of us are right now in the Awakening process.

This is about the nature and importance of Desire (which is the function of the astral body) in our current process of mastering the fourth dimension (i.e., the astral plane) and coming into our true power as human beings in the fifth dimension …

KAMA-MANAS

Over the holidays, I was reading  “The Astral Body and Other Astral Phenomena,” a book compiled by Arthur E. Powell, which, as I understand it, consists mainly of channeling of the work of the ascended master Djwhal Khul.

The part I was reading was so deep that I only read a couple of pages on the function of the astral body:

I’m sorry to say that, due to copyright restrictions, I can’t quote this passage, which I feel is a very important one. If you are able to obtain a copy of the book and take a look at the three pages cited above, I feel certain it will deepen your understanding on the topics I’ve presented below.

For me, reading the passage acted as a ‘springboard’ into a merging of the new Ascension knowledge with the older tradition of Theosophy. So you’ll find below references to the passage in Powell’s book, with my own thoughts on how Theosophical lore represents an astral-realm bridge of understanding, that may help today’s very secular-oriented society deal with the Ascension symptoms and clair abilities they’re beginning to experience.

We human beings here on Earth are passing from the merely physical and lower mental realms into a deeper understanding of the astral realms, preparatory to awakening to the fifth dimension, which, for most beings on Earth today, is unexplored territory, depending, as it does, on expansion of the human energy field beyond the causal realm.

The topics described in the above passage are of interest right now because knowing more about the astral body helps us to understand our journey at this moment. I’ll briefly glance over some of the topics presented by Powell …

The astral body has to do with Desire. Another word for Desire is the word KâmaThe notion of Kâma includes every sort of feeling, and not just thirst, or hunger, or desire to have sex. The Bible calls it ‘the lust of the flesh’ …

15 “Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.
16 “For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.
17 “And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.” — 1 John 2 (KJV – public domain)

So as we human beings are journeying into a deeper awareness of the astral plane, we are, in fact, encountering those emotions.

According to Powell, it is Kâma that binds us to the Duality Play, the world of sensory phenomena. Powell refers to the our animal nature as the ‘ape and the tiger’. The immediate context of this quote from Tennyson is:

“…Arise and fly
The reeling Faun, the sensual feast;
Move upward, working out the beast,
And let the ape and tiger die.”

So then Powell goes on to speak about how the quality of desire is knit together with the quality of mind, or Manas, in a human being. Theosophists often refer to the union of Desire and Mind as the driving force of intelligence, Kâma-Manas.

I feel that, typically in men, you’ll find a greater ratio of Manas, or mind, in this balance, and typically in women, you’ll find a greater ratio of Kâma, or Desire. The two together create the emotional awareness of human beings, without which we would never accomplish anything in the world. We could sit, and think … The Thinker, you know? … all day long, but without Desire, nothing would ever come forth into reality.

NEGATIVE EMOTIONS PREVENT CO-CREATION OF FIFTH DIMENSIONAL REALITY

Now, one definition of the fifth dimension is that we will all realize our innate ability as eternal Souls to become co-creators of reality. In the astral plane that we’re engaging in right now, and becoming aware of, that quality of co-creation exists, but because it’s only semi-aware, because the awareness is stifled by the negative kilter of the emotions … what we were talking about: lust, greed, pride or ‘conceit’, anger or rage, and attachment (the ‘five thieves’ as they say in India: kaam, lobh, ahankar, krodh, moh) (1) … these negatively tilted renditions of the basic fabric of Space and Time and Awareness, which is Love and Light and Joy … this slight negative kilter creates a kind of unawareness in us, as true awareness is of Love and Light and Joy.

So, when we engage in these emotions, we become relatively unaware, and consequently the reality that we create is an untrue, off-kilter version of what is. In the Christian aethos, in the Christian tradition, this off-kilter world expresses itself as a gradation of Light … from hellworlds, through Purgatory, on into the Light of Heaven.

CHOOSING POSITIVE EMOTIONS SO AS TO NAVIGATE TO THE HIGHER ASTRAL PLANES

Why is there this difference, this stratification of the astral plane? Because a being, as it begins to realize what it truly is, rises in vibration in the fourth dimension, from the depths of the hellworlds to the highest reaches of heaven.

How does it do this? Through the emotions. Years ago, Tom Kenyon (2), channeling the Hathors and the Hathor Archives, wrote that the emotion of gratitude, and the simple emotion of appreciation, would be what saved us through this process … what would save us from the nightmare realms of the fourth dimension. And I agree to that.

Peggy Black (3), who is his student, also mentions that gratitude is the thing that we need. That word is what gets us a discount on her courses, and that feeling is what gets us through the fourth dimension with ease and grace. And I agree completely with all of that. We can overcome the negativeness of our emotions by simply thinking about gratitude.

ON SURROUNDING THE NEGATIVE EMOTIONS WE EXPERIENCE WITH A FEELING OF PERSONAL SAFETY

One of the things that prevent us from expressing positive emotions is the feeling that we are not safe. Matt Kahn (4) has done quite an interesting video on this just recently, about how we can feel safe.

And his notion about that is, that for every unsafe emotion that we experience, including the list mentioned above … if I feel jealous, for instance, what we can say … if I understand him correctly … is, “I feel safe to be aware that I feel jealous at this moment.”

We could, as I understand it, use this same technique for every negative emotion that we feel. If I feel angry, enraged, whatever it is, what I could say is, “I feel safe to be aware that I feel angry at this moment.”

And by placing this positive tilt on the negative emotion, we can come through this with grace and ease. We can come through this well.

ON USING PRANAYAM, THE SCIENCE OF BREATH, TO OVERCOME NEGATIVE EMOTIONS

Yogi Bhajan, of 3HO, once gave a lecture on how desires arise automatically in us, and how pranayama, the science of the breath, helps us develop the personality and hone our intellect by expanding the aura, for the sake of prosperity, projection, and personality …

To get back to Matt Kahn, as I recall, he has also spoken recently about getting through this process of Awakening to the astral plane breath by breath … of slowing the breath and relaxing the body when we feel we have been attacked by others on the astral plane. So by becoming aware of our breathing, we can overcome the negative emotions, and also stop negative clairaudient chatter by not reacting as anticipated by any negative clair ‘sender’.

Keeping in mind that this sort of clair chatter often emanates from the untrained Lower Mental Bodies of those near and dear to us.

CONCLUSION

From this whole discussion, I’d like to present just two facts:

  • The Nature of Desire. One is that Desire, in itself, is not a bad thing. If you imagine that a thought is a car, then Desire is like the gasoline that allows the car to go to the place we have in mind. In the same way, if we have a thought about co-creating the new reality, Desire is the power that expresses this thought as physical reality. So Desire, in itself, is not a bad thing. It’s a necessary thing for us, as co-creators of reality.
  • Awareness of Negative Desire Is Essential to Developing Astral Plane Navigational Skills. And on the other hand, awareness of negative Desire is essential to this process that we’re going through now, because without it, we can’t rise to the fifth dimension, which is defined as a state of supreme joy, and love, and light. So in order for that to happen, we have to become aware of when we’re not feeling that way. And so, to create the true reality, we have to overcome desires that are not true.

VIDEO ON REPLENISHING THE PRANIC RESERVE, BY ALICE

This video is about replenishing the pranic reserve, which is located just beneath the rib cage, using a breathing technique (‘pranayam’). For the video thumbnail, I turned a sky picture upside down because, upside down, it reminded me of the dome-topped ‘pranic reserve’.

SUMMARY OF THE VIDEO

  • The pranic column is roughly equivalent, on the pranic energy level, to the spine. The pranic column is the bearer to the body of vital energy that we need, so as to stay alive.
  • In addition to this, there is the pranic reserve … which is, on the pranic energy level, a place located just under the bottom of the diaphragm, a muscle that lies under the rib cage, and forms an inverted U … a dome shape … when the stomach is tucked in. When the diaphragm muscle contracts, the dome shape flattens out, the chest volume increases, and the lungs inflate. When it relaxes, the opposite happens.
  • This diaphragm muscle is the top of the ‘pranic reserve’. The reserve extends from the diaphragm, down toward the stomach.
  • One way to activate and charge up the pranic reserve, is to do rapid, forceful breathing, while pumping the navel point in and out, for a few minutes. Do the breath through the nose, with the mouth closed. Then inhale completely, exhale completely, hold the air out, and draw all the internal organs up, so that they exert pressure on the diaphragm. When the held breath and the pressure become a little uncomfortable, then breathe in again.
  • While the breath is held out, you’ll feel the pranic reserve filling with energy.
  • I think that this breath also helps to purify and clean out the spleen chakra (aka splenic chakra … see below), which is located, on an energetic level, beneath the lowest left rib, and which bears vitality globules from the surrounding ethers or atmosphere into the body for distribution for health.
  • I believe that this breathing, which admittedly is difficult at first, and hard to master, has two benefits:
    • It replenishes the pranic reserve,
    • And it clears and cleans out the spleen chakra, and restores it to perfect functioning.
  • In the old days, they say, the yogis, when they had perfected the technique of storing prana in the pranic reserve, could live for hundreds of years underground, with no air whatsoever … in a state of hibernation, or suspended animation … on the energy of the pranic reserve.
  • This is a good technique to master, even if the old tales about the hibernating yogis turn out to be a little far-fetched. It’s also good if your energy has become depleted and this lack of energy threatens your health and well-being. It’s important to get that back in balance the very first thing; a top priority.
  • How the Spleen Chakra was feeling to me, when I did the pranic reserve replenishment breathing exercise last night … It felt like a tube or organelle on the astral plane, that surfaces to the left side of the body, under the lowest left rib. An organelle that has a diaphragm on it that opens and closes, apparently through will power … but for most people, probably unconscious will power. So when we do the breathing exercise to fill the pranic cavity, it naturally opens up and lets the prana (the vitality globules in.

THE LOCATION AND FUNCTION OF THE SPLEEN CHAKRA (AKA THE SPLENIC CHAKRA)

The spleen chakra, or spleen centre, is the seat of the kundalini energy. It energizes the sexual organs and heats the blood, which then heats the body. Most people mistakenly believe it’s located between the navel point and the basal chakra. In point of fact, it is above and to the left of the navel point, beneath the lowermost left rib, and deep inside the body.

In this lateral view, the spleen chakra is labeled the ‘spleen centre’, Notice how it opens up deeper inside the body than the other major chakras:

The names of the chakras in the above image are different from those generally used today. Here is a list, with today’s name first, followed by the name in the image, in parentheses:

  • Crown Chakra (Top of the Head Centre),
  • Third Eye-Point (Between the Eyebrows Centre),
  • Throat Chakra (Throat Centre),
  • Heart Chakra (Heart Centre),
  • Sacral Chakra (Spleen Centre),
  • Navel Point (Navel Centre), and
  • Basal Chakra (Base of the Spine Centre).

I’m calling the Sacral Chakra the Spleen Chakra to distinguish its location and function from that thought of, by most yogis, as the Sacral Chakra.

OTHER WAYS TO HEAL THE SPLEEN CHAKRA

I have found there are certain acupressure points associated with the Spleen Chakra. When these points are out of balance, they will cause a dull ache. You can locate them that way; and in fact, you can locate any acupressure points that need work that way.

In the case of the Spleen Chakra, there are two major points on the underside of the lowest left rib, near the center of the rib. There is a row of minor points around the side of that same rib, proceeding all the way round to the back part of the same rib, where you will find two more major acupressure points.

  • If any of these points are aching, then beginning with the point that aches most, apply gentle fingertip pressure until the ache stops.
  • Then you will feel another ache on the same line of points (under the lowermost left rib. Keeping the pressure on the first point, place another fingertip on the new acupressure point and apply gentle pressure there as well.
  • After a time the first point will cease to ache. It may be that another point on this same line of points will begin to ache. If so, then release pressure on the first acupressure point. Continue to hold gentle fingertip pressure on the second point, and at the same time apply gentle fingertip pressure to the third point. And so on.

You may need to repeat this technique for a few days, until the energy balance in this line of acupressure points re-establishes itself.

It may be necessary to go to a doctor of Western medicine, with adjunctive help from a certified acupressurist or acupuncturist, if self-help doesn’t return your body to balance.

EXTENDED SUMMARY OF THE VIDEO

WEAKNESS IN THE APANIC ENERGY FLOW, AND ITS SYMPTOMS

When the Apanic energy … the downward and outward coursing energy of the human spine … is weak, there may be the following symptoms:

  • Insomnia
  • Panic attack or generalized anxiety
  • Feelings of fear, or of being threatened
  • Being either hyperactive or tired all the time (the tiredness happens when the adrenals are worn out)
  • A feeling of ‘light-footedness’
  • Lack of grounding
  • Aches in the feet and ankles

Below is an Apanic Breathing Exercise that helps with all the above, as well as with:

  • Damage to a person’s apanic balance that occurs when rectal intercourse is performed on them
  • The black magic curse ‘May you lift your tailbone’ … which is malware installed on both men and women. This malware curse is sometimes clair heard to be a way to make people more susceptible to other astral being negative ‘downgrades’, so it’s something to look out for and transform right to the light as soon as possible.
  • The unsettled, turbulent astral air that is clair felt during Solar Events

AN APANIC BREATHING EXERCISE

For insomnia, do this breathing exercise lying down on your back. For the other instances, lying on the back is fine; standing or sitting are fine as well. Here’s the exercise:

  • Inhale a short, sharp, forceful breath.
  • Exhale sharply and forcefully, taking about twice as much time to exhale.
  • Repeat the inhale and exhale two more times (a total of three times)
  • As you do the exercise, imagine energy (ki or chi) coursing down through the top of the head, down through the body, and out the feet.

When the Pranic energy … the downward and outward coursing energy of the human spine … is weak, there may be the following symptoms:

  • Sleeping too much
  • Being either hyperactive or tired all the time (the tiredness happens when the adrenals are worn out)
  • A dull feeling in the head
  • A feeling of ‘heavy footedness’
  • A tendency to view things more as physical phenomena, without the inspiration of Spirit
  • A feeling of aggressiveness, or V— D— mental filter
  • Feelings of anger, rage, or violence
  • The desire to fight someone or to threaten them
  • The desire to perform rectal intercourse on someone

A PRANIC BREATHING EXERCISE

This breathing exercise may be done lying down on your back. standing or sitting. Here’s the exercise. It’s very simple:

  • Inhale very sharply, long and deep.
  • Exhale very gently, and more slowly, taking about twice as much time to exhale.
  • Repeat the inhale and exhale two more times (three times in all).
  • As you do the exercise, imagine energy (ki or chi) coursing up through the soles of your feet, up through the body, and out the crown of the head.

EXERCISES FOR BALANCED PRANA AND APANA

The goal of pranic-apanic breathing is to balance the flow of Prana and Apana through the nostrils. Yet most of us have a habit of breathing in more forcefully than we breathe out … or vice versa.

The breathing exercises described above are a beginning toward balanced pranic-apanic breathing. Long-term, though, a goal might be to observe the breath through the nostrils:

  • Is it flowing equally through the right and left nostril, or more through one or the other?
  • Is the inbreath equal in forcefulness and duration to the outbreath, or is one more forceful or longer?
  • Just observe; don’t try to change anything; be of neutral mind.

NATURAL BREATHING ON FALLING ASLEEP AND WAKING UP

Note that the Apanic Breathing Exercise described above is sometimes practiced naturally; that is, involuntarily or subconsciously, at the moment when we drift off to sleep.

Similarly, the Pranic Breathing Exercise described above is sometimes practiced that is, involuntarily or subconsciously,. at the moment when we wake up.

In fact, these two breaths may be the body’s Key that changes the brain waves from the waking state to the sleeping state, in the case of the Apanic Breath described above, and from the sleeping state back to the waking state, in the case of the Pranic Breath described above.

A WAY TO DO YOGA NIDRA (LUCID SLEEPING AND DREAMING)

If one wants to practice Yoga Nidra, the art of lucid sleeping and lucid dreaming, of being aware while the brain is sleeping, one may:

  • Lie down on the back
  • Starting at the top of the head, consciously relax the entire body, part by part. Then,
  • Practice the Apanic Breathing Exercise described above.
  • Then begin shallow, soft breathing, in and out.  The pace of the breath will happen naturally; because the breath is shallow, the pace tends to be relatively quick … but not very fast, and not very slow.
  • To move from the state of lucid sleeping to that of lucid dreaming, lengthen the inbreaths and outbreaths slightly. Keep the breathing shallow and soft so as not to arouse the sleeping body.
  • When ready to transition to a waking state, practice the Pranic Breathing Exercise described above. Practice it just once.
  • Stretch and take a long, deep breath, in and out, before getting up.

Dear Ones,

Here’s more on the nature and importance of desire (which is the function of the astral body) in transitioning through the fourth dimension (i.e., the astral plane) and coming into our true power as human beings in the fifth dimension.

ON PASSING INTO THE ASTRAL PLANE WHILE IN BODY

We human beings here on Earth are passing from the physical and lower mental realms into a deeper understanding of the astral realms. So, what does this mean, and what is the lesson in it for us? Knowing more about the astral body helps us understand our journey at this moment.

ON THE INTERPLAY OF DESIRE AND THOUGHT IN EARTHLY LIFE

The astral body has to do with desire. Another name for desire is the word kâma, which was used in ancient India. As stated by Annie Besant:

Kâma includes the whole group of ‘Feelings,’ and might be described as our passional and emotional nature. All animal needs, such as hunger, thirst, sexual desire, come under it; all passions, such as love (in its lower sense), hatred, envy, jealousy. It is the desire for sentient existence, for experience of material joys,– ‘the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, the pride of life.’ This Principle is the most material in our nature, it is the one that binds us fast to earthly life….

So, as we human beings are journeying into a deeper understanding and awareness of the astral plane, we are, in fact, encountering those emotions.

“United to the lower part of manas [thought] as Kâma-Manas, it becomes the normal human brain intelligence… Considered by itself, it remains the brute in us, the ‘ape and tiger’ of Tennyson, the force which most avails to keep us bound to earth and to stifle in us all higher longings by the illusions of sense….” (1)

The quality of desire is knit together with the quality of mind in a human being. Typically, in men, you’ll find a greater ratio of manas or ‘mind’ in this balance. Typically, in women, you’ll find a greater ratio of kâma, or desire. The two together create the emotional awareness of human beings, without which we would never accomplish anything in the world.

We could sit and think …

We could sit and think all day long, but without desire, nothing would ever come forth into reality.

HOW NEGATIVE EMOTIONS CAUSE OFF-KILTER CO-CREATION OF REALITY

Now, one definition of the fifth dimension is that we will all realize our innate ability, as Eternal Souls, to become co-creators of reality. In the astral plane that we’re engaging in right now and becoming aware of, that quality of co-creation exists.

But because it’s only semi-aware … because the awareness is stifled by negative kilter of the emotions: lust, rage or anger, greed, attachment to the senses, and pride or conceit … kaam, krodh, lobh, moh, ahankar, as they say in India, these negatively tilted, or skewed renditions of the basic fabric of space and time, which is Love and Light … this slight negative kilter creates a kind of unawareness in us, because true awareness is of Love and Light.

So when we engage in these emotions, we become relatively unaware, and consequently, the reality that we create is an untrue, off-kilter version of what is. This astral world expresses itself, in the Christian ethos, the Christian tradition, as a gradation of Light, from hellworlds, through purgatory, on into the light of heaven.

Why is there this difference? Because a being, as it begins to realize what it truly is, rises in vibration in the fourth dimension … from the depths of the hellworlds to the highest regions of heaven.

How does it do this? Through the emotions.

HOW POSITIVE EMOTIONS AND BREATH TECHNIQUES ALLOW US TO NAVIGATE THE ASTRAL PLANES

Tom Kenyon (2) wrote, years ago, channeling the Hathors, in the Hathor Archives, that simple emotions such as appreciation and gratitude would be what saved us through this process. What saved us from the nightmare realms of the fourth dimension. And I agree to that.

Peggy Black, (3) who is his student, also mentions this … that gratitude is the thing we need. It’s the thing that gets you a discount on her courses, and what gets you through the fourth dimension with ease and grace. And I agree completely with all of that. We can overcome the negative twist of our emotions by simply thinking about gratitude.

One of the things that prevent us from expressing positive emotions is the feeling that we are not safe. Matt Kahn has done quite an interesting video on this a while ago, (4) about how we can feel safe. His notion about that is that, for every unsafe emotion that we experience, such as jealousy for example … what we can say, if I understand him correctly, is, “I feel safe to be aware that I feel jealous at this moment.” And we could use this same technique for everything we feel. If I feel angry, enraged … whatever it is, we could say, “I feel safe to be aware that I feel angry at this moment.”

By placing this positive tilt on the negative emotion, we can come through this with grace and ease. We can come through this well.

Interestingly, there’s a song called “Desire, My Great Enemy” (5) that talks about how these emotions can bind us down to the Earth plane, and talks about how we can rise up in our tone or tenor, or the feeling of our Soul song. We can become more refined if we let desire go. And it suggests pranayam as a way of doing this. Pranayam is a technique of breathing.

To get back to Matt Kahn, he has also spoken a while back about getting through this process ‘one breath at a time’. So, by becoming aware of our breathing, we can overcome the negative emotions.

CONCLUSION

From this whole discussion, I’d like to present just two facts:

  • One is that desire, in itself, is not a bad thing. It’s a little like this: If you imagine that a thought is a car, then desire is like the gasoline that allows the car to go to the place we have in mind. In the same way, if we have a thought about co-creating the new reality, desire is the power that expresses this thought as physical reality. So desire in itself is not a bad thing. It’s a necessary thing for us as co-creators of reality.
  • And on the other hand, awareness of negative desire is essential to this process that we’re going through now, because without it, we can’t rise to the fifth dimension, which is defined as a state of supreme joy and Love and Light. In order for that emotional state to happen, we have to become aware of when we’re not feeling that way. And so, to create the true reality, we have to overcome desires that are not true.
