INTRODUCTION

Dear Ones,

This is the fifth and last video in the Steckel Park Aviary video series. I’ll let the Lovebirds speak for themselves. They will have it no other way!

Hint: Hear that staccato way they have of speaking? They call it their ‘rat-a-tat voice’. They say they are using it so the Humans won’t know what they quite naughtily say … unless they want us to.

Incredible personalities here! Some are sweet as sweet potato pie. Others could scald the hide off a Bull Gator with their swift and witty repartees.

SUMMARY OF THE VIDEO

“Steckel Park Aviary 5: Lovebirds”
By Alice B. Clagett

[Introduction]

Hello, Dear Ones. It’s Alice. I Am of the Stars.

This is the last clip from Steckel Park Aviary in Santa Paula, California. The stars of this clip are the Lovebirds. They’re linguistically genius. Total genius.

They always have one up on me. And the very first thing they said was, “You don’t talk at all! WE will talk to you!” So I was listening. And they’re just so gifted. They’re incredibly gifted.

First they averred that they speak pretty good English, and then they said that they speak Spanish. And then they said that they speak German! And I don’t even speak German! And I was so tongue-tied I had a hard time coming up with any Spanish at all.

And when they respond, they use a mixture of languages. They start in, say, Spanish and then they move to English; or they start in German, and then move to English.

It’s mind-boggling. Truly mind-boggling. I just … I just don’t know what to say. See what you think!

[At Steckel Park Aviary … Lovebirds]

Who is this over here? Who could that be?

Who IS that? Who IS that over there?
Who ARE all these beings?

Oh, my G-d! It’s a Lovebird!

Okay. Okay. Don’t speak to the Birds?

Okay. You speak better!

Wow!

I could sing you a song instead if you like. Ready?
“I’ve been working on the railroad all the live long day! …”

Thank you. It’s very sweet of you. Thank you.

Thank you. Thank you. You’re welcome. Welcome, welcome, welcome! Okay. Bye.

You’re natives of the Americas!
didn’t know you were natives of the Americas.

Natives of the Americas?

Alice: You speak pretty good English. Do you speak Chinese? … What? … I don’t speak any?
[Lovebirds: Yes, we do, but you don’t understand it
so we can’t speak it to you. We don’t think you understand it!
We might say ‘Ninhao’ and you might think it means something else.]
Alice: I speak Spanish? … Quien habla Espanol? Quien es?
[Lovebird: I hablo Espanol!]

Alice to Readers: What do you think, guys? Pretty cool, huh? Wow. Lovebirds.
They don’t want me to speak to them.

They don’t want me to speak to them.
They speak pretty  good English. They’re natives
of the Americas, as you have heard.
Right? What did I forget?

Alice to Lovebirds: Speak Spanish! You speak Spanish?

[Lovebirds: We certainly DO speak Spanish!
It’s our native language. We come from west of Honduras.]

Alice to Lovebirds: Que quiero hablar? Que?

Alice to Lovebirds: Ok.

Alice to Lovebirds: Anything else I say to you?
[Lovebird to Alice: You could say ‘Buen dia!’
Then see if we would respond.]

Alice to Lovebird: Buen dia! Thank you very much!
[Lovebird: You might also say, “Que tal?” and see what we will say to you after that.]
Alice to Lovebird: Que tal?

[Lovebird to Alice: We’re doing really supercalifragilistic good!]
Alice to Livebird: Real good!

[Lovebird (collapsing in laughter) to Alice: We’re doing really supercalifragilistic good!]
Alice to Livebird: Real good! You do?!

Alice to Lovebird: You do?!
[Lovebird says a swear word, collapes in laughter, then says to Alice: ‘Real good’ isn’t really what we said!]
Alice to Lovebird: But the other one sounds better!
[Lovebird to Alice: We hear the WEiRD things that people say, and that’s why sometime say that!]

[Lovebird to Alice: And the owner says we can’t speak
anything like that ever again.]
Alice to Lovebird: I GOT that!
[Gosh, What a predicament!]

[Lovebird to Alice: Sprechen sie deutsch? Try that one.]
Alice to Lovebirds: You speak German too?
[Lovebird to Alice: Tee hee hee! Yes, we do!]

Alice to Lovebirds: What else do you speak?
[Lovebird to Alice: We speak 17 or 18 languages.]

Alice to Lovebirds: So that’s it? German (Deutsch),
Spanish (Espanol), English.
[Lovebirds: We say we speak 17 or 18 languages
and she says we don’t speak that many languages.]

Alice to Lovebirds: I’m very, very honored to meet you. Very honored to meet everybody.

You guys are so well educated. I don’t know what to say. I’m so pleased
to meet you. Yeah, I am. So long! Hasta luego!

Thank you for speaking with me. Thank you. Hasta luego!

Oh, Thank you. Oh, gracias. So long! So long!

Bye. Bye. Bye bye bye. So long. So long.
Bye. Bye, everybody. Bye.

Alice to Readers: Dudes! I was just linguistically bested by the Lovebirds … who speak German and Spanish and English!

I might as well give up. Yeah! They’re so talented, aren’t they? Thumbs up.

Dear Ones,

This is the fourth of five documentary videos taken at Steckel Park Aviary in Santa Paula, California. Here are two Chickens and some Pigeons of various colors. They are not talking overly much, as you will see. Here is a chance to learn the difference between White King pigeons and Peace Doves. Maybe. Could be these are older Peace Doves. That is what the Lovebird says.

SUMMARY OF THE VIDEO

“Steckel Park Aviary 4: Chickens and Pigeons”
By Alice B. Clagett

[Introduction]

Hello, Dear Ones. It’s Alice. I Am of the Stars.

This next clip is Pigeons [Well, ok, and a few Chickens] as opposed  to Peace Doves. It’s at Steckel Park in Santa Paula, California. Pigeons are larger birds. And you’ll see here also some White Kings; [at least, that is] what I think they are. White Kings look a lot like Peace Doves, but they’re bigger. Considerably bigger.

So to tell the truth, the Pigeons weren’t saying very much that day. But nevertheless, this will give you a chance to compare White King Pigeons and distinguish them from Peace Doves.

[At Steckel Park Aviary … Chickens and Pigeons]

Who’s this here? Oh, Chicken … Rooster. Rooster and Hen! [Oops! Lovebird says they are both Hens.]

Okay. What do we have here?

Regular Pigeons! You guys are ‘Pigeon Pigeons’, right?

You lived in a house one time? Who is that that lived in a house? You! Nice to meet you!

Nice to meet you. You guys look like White Kings, not Peace Doves. And did I get that wrong? {Lovebird says they are too Peace Doves.]

Who’s that over there?

Who’s that talking?

I used to raise the Pigeons. I had White Kings when I was a very young child. I raised regular Racing Pigeons and White King Pigeons. I had 100 Pigeons. Isn’t that cool? Lot of Pigeons. They were the nicest birds anywhere. Very nice birds.

[Lovebird [baiting Pigeons] to Alice: My Friend, did you EAT some Pigeons?]

[Pigeon to Lovebird: PLE-E-EASE don’t say that to the Lady. She might eat US TOO!]

That’s a Courting Dance right there. The one on the right, it’s the male. The one on the left, it’s not sure about all that quite yet.

It’s just a baby bird still. Not ready yet. Not ready yet. Have to wait.

INTRODUCTION

Dear Ones,

This is the third of five documentary videos taken at Steckel Park Aviary in Santa Paula, California. There is quite a story to do with the Peace Doves. It indicates they have advanced decision-making abilities and a strong community cohesion, to the extent that they may have the flexibility of mental thought and social strength to overcome their instinctual urges …

SUMMARY OF THE VIDEO

“Steckel Park Aviary 3: Peace Doves”
By Alice B. Clagett

[Introduction]

Hello, Dear Ones. It’s Alice. I Am of the Stars.

Well, so the very next thing that I ran into at Steckel Park was Peace Doves. There were so many Peace Doves! And on the astral plane … I don’t know if it’s true or not, but I got a story that the people at the Park allow the babies to be raised to the point where they have a nest together and then they have babies. And after they have babies, that following year, they take the older birds and they give them to a place where they are hunted. And then they keep the younger generation and the younger generation then has babies and the same thing happens all over again.

And this would not do it all for Hermes the Peace Dove because I don’t want him to be hunted, you know. I can see the predicament that Steckel Park Aviary [may have] found itself in is that the Peace Doves have so many children, and they don’t have very much space, and they don’t know how else to deal with it. So that’s what they [may] do. So, I guess the Birds live about two years.

I was just talking on the telepathic plane about this, and maybe I was repeating a little out loud, and it goes to show you how very intelligent Peace Doves are because they figured it out, and they realized that if they make love together and they have nests and babies, then they’ll be shot. And they all convinced each other not to make love anymore and that way they can stay alive.

It’s almost impossible to believe that this happened. I didn’t know that animals in the wild had the ability to come to these kinds of decisions. It’s amazing, really.

So see if you can figure that out [that is, figure out what the Peace Doves are saying]. It’s not till the very end of this video clip that they come to the decision and they start talking to each other [like this]: “Let’s not have any more romance. No more romance amongst us because we don’t want to be shot. We don’t want to be killed.”

Amazing! Truly an amazing video clip.

[At Steckel Park Aviary … Peace Doves]

What have we? … Peacock!

Who are these guys? Oh my G-d!

Peace Doves. Lot of …  lot of Peace Doves. Peace Doves.

Peace Dove, I have a Peace Dove. Maybe he would like it here. Would you guys … would you guys let my Peace Dove in here?

It’s a very nice Peace Dove. What do you think?

It’s lonely. It wants to be with other Peace Doves. That’s the only thing.

Baby Peace Doves!

Oh, they say … I was talking to the people. They said they have to call them every year. The oldest ones, they sell them to the hunt club.

So, that won’t work out for Hermes. His name is Hermes. That means ‘Messenger of the Gods’. And his Mother named him that because his Father was named Hermes too. And his Mother is still alive, and she talks to him sometimes.

Hermes’ owner put him outside and threw him up in the air, but he couldn’t find his way home. And eventually he ended up at my house. And the Ravens almost pecked his wing off. And so I had to take him inside and keep him safe so he could get better. Yeah. Now Hermes can fly just like you guys. Beautifully well. You fly beautifully well. I’m really glad you’re such happy Birds.

Okay … okay.

So, okay. I’m so pleased to know you’re here. Hermes would like to fly with you; [that’s] the thing. But I guess they won’t let him.

[inaudible]

He’s met everybody.

So long, you guys. Okay.

Beautiful Peace Doves. Beautiful.
Yeah. Beautiful Peace Doves.

It’s very beautiful.

Beautiful.

[inaudible]

See you later. Bye. Have fun. Maybe Hermes can come visit you sometime, [and] say hi! from a distance. What are you guys doing down there? Looking around for something to eat? Find something good!

SUMMARY OF THE VIDEO

“Steckel Park Aviary 2: Ducks, Peacock and Pheasant”
By Alice B. Clagett

[Introduction]

This next video at Steckel Park in Santa Paula, California, has to do with a Pheasant. [Well, ok, Ducks and a Peacock first say hi!]

The Pheasant is scratching around and trying to find things to eat on the ground. And I’m asking it if it will say anything to me. And the Peace [not Mourning] Doves are cooing that it it says things but not very often.

And then it sounds like there’s a Songbird that comes in and says, “Not while eating. Not while eating.” And then at the very end of this video clip, it sounds like the Pheasant itself is talking and it avers the same thing: “Not while eating.”

So, I guess Pheasants are very quiet birds, and don’t talk much. See what you think.

[At Steckel Park Aviary … Ducks, Peacock and Pheasant]

Hey, Ducks. Pleased to meet you. Wow. Over
there. Over there, there’s quite a bit going on.

Oh! A Peacock, right? Peacock. Peacock. Peacock.

Who is that? Who is that? A Pheasant. Pheasant.

Pheasant. Do you ever say anything?

Songbird: Yep. Yep.

Alice: How are you? Okay?

Okay. Not while you’re reading. See you later. See you later.

PROLOGUE

Dear Ones,

There is bedlam at Steckel Park Aviary in this video series. So many voices! Voices so very different from our own, are they not? How are we to understand what is being said by the beings in these videos? Impossible, right?

No, not impossible. Did Antonio Banderas, as the character Ahmad ibn Fadlan, an exiled Muslim poet and courtier, have a textbook or a tutor when he learned the language of the Vikings round a campfire? …

Video: “The 13th Warrior: ‘Learning the Language’,” by Joshua Lankton, 18 June 2012 … https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aVVURiaVgG8 ..

Ahmad ibn Fadlan had what is termed total language immersion … as, for example, when we go to a foreign country in which our own language is not spoken, and attempt to learn ‘by hook or by crook’. There’s strong incentive to learn quickly, because we need to find food to eat and a place to sleep, for instance. We need to avoid fist fights over what we may say by mistake. And so on.

This video series is a language immersion experience. It’s a chance to accomplist what Ahmad ibn Fadlan accomplished. It’s a chance to be like King Solomon, who (according to Islam and Judaism) could understand the languages of all animals, and who could speak with them.

If King Solomon could speak with Eagles, Parrots, Hawks, and Peacocks, you can understand and speak with the birds at Steckel Park Aviary!

The language of the Birds in these videos is no more different from your own than is Old Norse from the three languages that Ahmad ibn Fadlan already knew, which were Arabic, Greek, and Latin.

In fact, understanding the languages of the Birds in this video series is easier to do than the translating job that Ahmad ibn Fadlan faced.

Why so? Because the Birds at Steckel Ranch Aviary have already done the heavy lifting. They speak English! It is just their inflections, their vocal ranges, and their cultural differences that make it impossible for you to understand them. Those, and the obstinate belief of many human beings that they can speak English, that they have special mental abilities, and that other beings on Earth do not have these … when, in fact, they do.

A few nights ago, I was hitting my mind up against a long-time ‘snag thought’ … one of those thoughts I hear in the noosphere, floating into my home from other people’s minds, and which I disbelief to just as great an extent as they believe the very same thought.

I thought: Will there be no end to this? Then someone else’s thought came in. This man said, telepathically: Expand your mind beyond that thought!

So I envisioned the thought in the air outside my head. And I envisioned the energy of my Higher Mental Body, growing bigger and bigger, till it completely engulfed that thought. And then the energy of my Higher Mental Body kept on growing!

Silence! Finally, I was free of the ‘snag thought’ that had plagued me for years.

You can do this too! When you have the thought: “Animals cannot speak English” … which is patently untrue, but stubbornly rooted in our human culture, and exceedingly difficult to overcome … just Expand your mind beyond that thought! Get yourself free!

Know that you can talk with all the beings on Earth. Start today! Listen immersively to the many voices on the videos in this series, just as Ahmad ibn Fadlan listened to the Vikings round the campfire and then learned Old Norse.

Antonio Banderas played a character who learned Norse without having any teacher. YOU, Gentle Reader, can learn to speak with Cockatiels, Parakeets, Ducks, Peacocks, Pheasants, Peace Doves, Pigeons, and Lovebirds without having any teacher!

Now is the time! Bonne chance to each of you!

Dear Ones,

This is the first of five documentary videos taken at Steckel Park Aviary in Santa Paula, California. The stars of this video are three fine looking but ill-starred Parakeets who are in the mood for love. SUMMARY OF THE VIDEO

“Steckel Park Aviary 1: Cockatiels and Parakeets”
By Alice B. Clagett

[Introduction]

Hello, Dear Ones. It’s Alice. I Am of the Stars. This video was taken at Steckel Park Aviary in Santa Paula, California. The stars are Cockatiels and Parakeets. And the very first voice that you hear in the video is most likely Lovebirds.

The action has to do with Parakeets. There are three Parakeets. Two are sort of the same color, yellowish green, and one is bluish. The bluish one states that it’s in the mood for love. I think you’ll hear that.

And the other two, the two green ones, one of them is trying to convince the other that they’re mates, but it turns out they’re both males. And the one that’s not convinced keeps trying to explain to the other one that they’re both males and they can’t be a couple.

And then the blue one steps up and first tries one and asks it if it would would like to make love. Then it tries the other one and asks it if it would like to make love. And it turns out that all three of them are males. And so there’s just quite a commotion going on.

See if you can distinguish what they’re saying to each other, okay?

[At Steckel Park Aviary … Cockatiels and Parakeets]

Alice: Who could THAT be?

Aw, Parakeets! Parakeets!

I love you. I do. I love you.

I see everything. Is that ok? … Very good? … How delightful?!

Alice [repeating what Birds say: Won’t hurt anyone! … You **@#% won’t?!

He’s so beautiful and so handsome. He is really a beautiful bird.

See you guys later. Bye. See you later. Byebye. Byebye. See you.
