Dear Ones.
It appears to me from national and California coronavirus statistics since mid-January 2022 that the new Omicron variant BA.2, which appears to have been introduced in the United States in January, may be more lethal but somewhat less infectious than the original Omicron virus.
I say that because the COVID infection rate, both in California and in the United States as a whole, has slowed dramatically since mid-January, but the death rate from COVID has risen somewhat since then.
I feel it is also possible that the current robust COVID death rate may have to do with misstatement or misinterpretation of the nationally available pandemic statistics …
It could be, I feel, that non-coronavirus deaths are being misstated to be coronavirus death. This might simply be mistaken writing down of cause of death because of the prominence of COVID news in the national media, and because the disease is uppermost in the mind of our people.
I am sure there is an undercurrent of ideas amongst the people that the statistics may have been jimmied about, either on the upside or on the downside, so as to support political or public health agendas. To what extent this might be so, I cannot say. I can say that short-term political or public health agendas … such as the notion that people must be prevented from getting together for Thanksgiving or Christmas … if supported by jimmied up statistics … might be expected to be re-adjusted for accuracy after the holidays.
The above two are expectable sources of data skew, but there is another that is more worrisome. Along with many other people, I sense an undercurrent of social unrest in America today. There can be no doubt but what the economic and emotive stressors of the COVID pandemic have spiked up this undercurrent of social unrest.
It is possible economic and emotive stressors have fashioned crime techniques where criminals are faking COVID deaths from which they feel they may profit. The youth of today is under particular stress, as they have been losing the mature wisdom of parents and parental authority figures through coronavirus deaths and through distance learning. It seems to me possible that some of our youth may be acting out ‘anti-superhero’ games … a la recent movies that have come out … so as to fake COVID deaths in cases of burglary in the United States. They might, for instance, be wearing ninja or superhero outfits, and working with youthful friends, in these ‘fatal games’ akin to the ‘Fatal Dungeons and Dragons’ game I logged onto during the last solar maximum …

During the current solar maximum, I have been hearing about a ‘Fake COVID Death House Flip’ scheme here in the San Fernando Valley. For instance, I saw a big, handwritten sign on a street corner a week in the Valley or so ago … It said ‘House Flip’ and then a phone number. I saw a young man in a Ninja outfit exit the Chatsworth Nature Preserve, next to the house where I live, He seemed to be putting the Ninja mask on to avoid being recognized by me.
I spoke with local law enforcement about it; they felt it was most likely just a fashion statement. They are by far more ‘in the know’ about such things than I, so I gather there was no harm in it. But the two events … the ‘House Flip’ sign and the unexpected appearance of a young person in a ninja outfit … got me thinking that there might be a ‘House Flip’ scheme afoot … as an expression of social unrest and of the economic and emotive stressors of the pandemic … to the effect that youth or other groups might be induced by other people … or else perhaps self-motivated … to attempt home invasion and to fake COVID deaths through suffocation (say, with a pillow), with a plan to ‘flip’ the house through fake ‘sale by owner’. I wonder … could this possibly be so, that attempts have been made along these lines, here in Los Angeles?
My hunch is that something or other may be up, along the lines of profiting from faked COVID deaths, but I cannot say what. It might be a number of things. Because of the more robust coronavirus death statistics in the United States since mid-January, and because crime may be a factor, my suggestion to the law enforcement and to coroners here in America is that every presumed COVID death … from here on out … be investigated as a possible homicide.
