Alice to Readers: So just a minute ago three young men were coming back down from the higher mountain. And on the psychic plane I asked if they’d seen any Mountain Lions … always a concern … and they said only at higher elevation. They thought they heard one hiss, but they couldn’t see it. So that’s the second warning I’ve gotten today about the mountains … the Big Cats … the Mountain Lions.

[CAPTION: Likely the hikers were telepathically referring to the steep, rugged Los Pinetos Trail that goes to Wilson Canyon Saddle.]

Alice to Readers (continuing): One over this way, as the road goes up the mountain. And the other one back there on the trail. I started to go off trail and a Mountain Lion itself cast two visual images …

Alice to Readers (continuing):… of itself to ward me off, so I left; I turned around.

[CAPTION: Just behind this point on Canyon Trail in Placerita Canyon Natural Area is a rough trail that goes up the rise seen on the right of this photo. That is the spot where a Mountain Lion cast me two clair images to warn me to stay away.]

[CAPTION: See the steep, rocky cliff at the top left of this photo? Always be cautious and aware when approaching cliffs like this. I think these cliffs may be favored hangouts of Mountain Lions.]
