Metaphors: Is 'Losing Face' Lethal?

Dear Ones,

Is this about losing face? That’s a subconscious metaphor, I guess … the type of thing that lucid dreams reveal.

Video: “NOCTURNE | Award-Winning Stop Motion Animated Short Film,” by Anne Breymann, 11 May 2026 … https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q7rOBlwj5B8 ..

I am guessing from this most excellent short film that the subconscious mind may figure losing face is life threatening. Which would explain why folks might go to otherwise inexplicable extremes to avoid losing face.

Excellent short film. Wow!

INTRODUCTION

Dear Ones,

This video demonstrates how the Songbirds rely on the Coyotes for advice about the Mountain Lions, which are the fearful enemies of both Songbirds and Coyotes.

In this video as in many other videos the Songbirds become very angry with me when I so much as mention the phrase ‘Mountain Lion’ while recording the video, To the Songbirds and to the Coyotes, mention of that phrase is taboo. They feel that the Mountain Lions will hear this talk and will come down the mountain and eat them.

From my own clair experience, I feel the Songbirds and Coyotes have good reason to avoid speaking the phrase ‘Mountain Lion’. I feel, from my clair experience, that Mountain Lions have superb hearing … far better than my own, which is extra specially good compared to that of most humans. Mountain Lion hearing is far, far better than mine.

Mountain Lions, like the fearful insect predators known to humans as Dragon Flies, have clair telescopic vision, by means of which they can chart their course over hill and dale to reach their prey quite quickly, with no trip-ups or flaws in their chase maneuvers.

On the telepathic plane, some time ago, I spoke with a Forest Ranger who said that Mountain Lions have a natural curiosity and a telepathic ability … that a person hiking in the wilderness ought never think of them or mention their name … that if a person did that, they might be in danger of reeling in the attention of Mountain Lions from far away. In that way, the Forest Ranger telepathically advised me, we hikers might, all unanticipatedly, increase the danger of being stalked and taken down by a hungry Mountain Lion.

This advice of the Forest Ranger clues me in to the importance of heeding the advice of the very ‘ticked off’ … incensed, even … Songbirds in this video.

I am a little reminded of a 2002 film titled “The Time Machine” …

It feels to me as if the joyful Songbirds have a relationship to the Mountain Lions in my video much like that of the Eloi to the Morlocks and the Uber-Morlock in that movie.

  • The innosence of the Songbirds and the Eloi stirs my heart.
  • I find the cold-hearted predation by the Mountain Lions and the Morlock revolting.
  • It is my hope the New Earth will be devoid of predation, whether by animals or by humankind.

Notices: Legal Implications of Using the Phrase “One Eye to the Sky” . by Alice B. Clagett

Notices: Legal Implications of Using the Phrase "One Eye to the Sky"

Notices

Dear Ones,

You may have noticed the phrase “One Eye to the Sky” at the top of my Geostorm Alerts recently. I first ran across this phrase in the TV movie series “Ronja the Robber’s Daughter,” the first part of which I enjoyed very much because it seemed so carefree and the animation was lovely.

I liked the phrase for Lightworker use because we are always on the lookout for what may be happening in the sky, whether that might be geostorms or almanac events or gateway events.

I wondered if the phrase was proprietary to the “Ronja” series, so I looked it up in Google AI.

I asked Google AI: “One Eye to the Sky” proverb … Here is what I found out …

Google AI said:  “The expression ‘one eye to the sky’ is not a formal proverb, but a common piece of advice to be vigilant and aware of approaching weather or other changing conditions. It cautions against being so focused on one’s immediate tasks that one misses impending danger.

The phrase is most often associated with:

  • Boating and aviation: Sailors, pilots, and other people on the water or in the air must constantly monitor the sky for changes in cloud formation, which can signal an approaching storm.
  • Farming: Farmers also traditionally watch the sky to gauge what the weather holds, as their livelihood depends on it.
  • General vigilance: More broadly, it serves as a reminder to stay alert to one’s surroundings while going about a task. For example, a person relaxing by a pool may keep ‘one eye to the sky’ during monsoon season, even while reading a book.”

Since, according to Google AI, “One eye to the sky” is a phrase in common use amongst boaters, aviators, farmers, and vigilant folks in general, then I figure it cannot be proprietary to the people who produced the TV movie series “Ronja.”

I figure they just picked up on a phrase in common use, as have I.

So therefore, what I’m getting at is this: If I use in my writings a phrase that is in common use, then that is not a topic for lawsuit.

It is as if I were to use the slang phrase “Your MOTHER!” during a confrontation. I would not be treading on anyone’s proprietary words, even if there were a movie out that was titled “Your MOTHER!”

Why? Because that phrase is in common use in street brawls. There might be a lawsuit because of an ensuing brawl, but that would not have to do with an allegation that the phrase was copyrighted.

God bless you all (especially the lawyers amongst my readers!)
And keep you safe,
And be with you
Through all your days!

In love, light and joy
