Dear Ones,

PORTALS AND RIVER ROCKS
A Prose Poem by Alice B. Clagett
5 February 2013

A portal is a way for the Divine
to experience itself as ’other.’

Like when a river is flowing along – all one.
And then it comes to a big rock,
right in the middle.

Half the river goes one way around the rock.
Half the river goes the other.

On the far side of the rock,
the two parts of the river join up again,
like long lost friends.

But the truth is, it always was,
and always will be,
one river.

The same goes for a portal,
only the design is a little more sophisticated.

A river rock only divides a river
as long as the river flows in one direction.
But a portal is self-sustaining –

the directional flow is toroidal –
or, some say, double toroidal –

In the case of man.
Powered by the Divine,
which touches the toroid right in the center.

As everyone knows,
the tiniest feather touch of the Divine
could power 100,000 universes
for as long as it takes for a universe
to run down –

which is quite some time.

. . . . .

In love, light and joy,
I Am of the Stars
