Dear Ones,
I note from Wikipedia that risk-taking is one of the essential features of antisocial personality disorder …

I feel that risk taking in the antisocial personality (the ASP) may have to do with impulsivity. It could be that the ASP impulsively engages in risk-taking behaviors. Perhaps impulsivity, which is a feature of many psychological disorders, is also a characteristic of the antisocial personality (the ASP) …

I see that impulsivity problems have to do with prospective memory (e.g., planning) …

The above article references this one …

I feel there may also be an issue with retrospective memory … with remembering the impulsive behaviors (instances of ‘acting out’) that have occurred, but I do not see any literature on this.
What I am wondering is if it is possible that antisocial personality (ASP) ‘acting out’ (for example, serial killing, serial rape) may be blotted out of the memory … an instance of ‘dissociative fugue’ (‘fugue state’) because of the impulsive nature of the act …

… what one might term a rushing forth or gushing out of thoughts and feelings, perhaps to do with a catastrophic childhood experience, that wash over and blot out the memory of the action (the instance of serial killing or serial rape) taking place in the physical world.
Though the ASP may engage in this activity time and again, he may arrive home, to be greeted by his loving wife and family, with blood on his well starched white shirt, and no memory of how it got there.
The memory of the instance of catastrophic childhood experience, I hypothesize, shall have erased his memory of the re-enactment that was the cause of the bloody hands, and shall have snapped back into a state of repressed memory in the subconscious mind.
In love, light and joy,
I Am of the Stars
