CALIFORNIA EVERLASTING
A Poem by Alice B. Clagett
May 2005

I do so love the light – but still –
this dappled, elfin land
cools summer’s wrath
and few dare venture here.

One day these guardian sprites
may wax more cruel – but now –
my heart dreams
one more day
and one more patch of sun.

In love, light and joy
This is Alice B. Clagett.
I Am of the Stars … and so are you!
