As rain loves the Earth,
and the small roots between the trees;
and tickles Oceans’ Titans’ foam-flecked feet,
and sends the Devas whirling, Sufi-style,
and blesses the conception of each child,
and bathes the borning World in ecstasy,
so is my love for thee, my own dear child.
