The man who fixes the surveillance cameras
Was there at her house.
Near the end of the day
He got a call from Nancy.

Nancy said: Can I fix you a salad for dinner, dear?
And he said: That would be ok.

I got to thinking about someone named Nancy …

She was a ‘number 10’, if you know what I mean.
She got out of the ‘pen’ [penitentiary]
And she needed to slip by the border guards in Arizona.

Things went along in a logical way,
So that her profile would no longer match what they say.
That was Nancy.

And I got to thinking …

Wasn’t it she who followed me
Back to LA … back in the day?

If I were her, what would I do
If I wanted to
Fricassee
Someone like me?

Oh my gosh!

So I paid him [the surveillance camera man] the cash.
He’s a pretty good technician, I thought.
But Nancy is one persuasive individual.

So I checked [online] and I saw
He was a funeral director too.
And then I noticed
He had a casket business.

Then I thought some more, and
I decided to say goodbye that day
To my surveillance camera technician.
