INTRODUCTION

Here are photos and a video taken on Woolsey Canyon Road, two days after the Woolsey Canyon fire began there on 8 November 2018. I note the odd colors in the Light …

The first three photos show just the oddest colors of Light, from a distance, and then closer and closer up. The colors look like red, aqua, a thin line of royal blue, and violet.

Then there is a video showing sunlight filtered by leaves of a chaparral shrub that did not burn. After that, a photo of the multicolored rays of sunlight.

I thought maybe the unusual colors were caused by soot or ash in the air, so I added a final photo showing the quality of the air at that time …
