Subconscious Symbolism: “I’m Bilingual” . by Alice B. Clagett

Dear Ones,

The other night, I was in an unmani state … the borderline state between waking and dreaming, and site of many inspirational notions.

There I was listening to another person’s subconscious mind. He said …

One thing you should know about me: I’m bilingual.

Well, I thought I might know who this person was, and I was pretty sure he was not bilingual. So I wondered to myself: What does his subconscious mind really mean by this?

I thought about how the subconscious mind imagines translates higher mind speech into physical images, and I realized the etymology of ‘bilingual’ is ‘bi’ meaning ‘having two’ and ‘lingua’ meaning ‘tongue’.

Thus, he may have been saying …

I’m two-tongued (like a snake) … I speak with forked tongue.

What an amazing way of changing a big word into a striking visual image, coupled with a strong emotion of pride and dangerousness of person …
