SUMMARY OF THE AUDIO

On Mental and Astral Stories

I thought I would talk a little about mental stories … the stories that we tell ourselves in our minds.

Sometimes, you know, because I am a telepath, I run across people who have astral stories themed with an emotional theme, usually. It is the emotional key to their lives.

Astral Stories of Lament

Some people seem to tell stories all the time that have to do with the minor key … You know, like in music? … Singing songs of lament to themselves, and stories of lament, all day long. If you wake them up in the middle of the night, they are doing the same thing, you know!

Astral Stories about Food Addiction

And so, that is one kind of mental story. And another kind is like an addiction … can have an addiction, say, to food. So a person might be thinking all the time: Oh, boy! Chocolate Sundae coming up! … You know? … A delicious steak dinner! … Right? Thinking a lot of stories about the food they are going to be eating during the day.

Astral and Mental Stories or Daydreams about the Act of Sex

And then there are other people who spend a lot of time … hours at a time … thinking about the act of sex. And so, the story will go on and on, and build up and up, and come to no particular conclusions, because it is just a mental story. It is rather unsatisfying. And so that is another way that we sometimes spend our time with mental stories.

Astral Story about Telepathic Attack

And my mental story, I will tell you, this morning I realized that, at the moment, I had a mental story about persecution by psychics … fellow telepaths.

And I could hear all kinds of stories coming in that were violent, and sad, and the opposite of the way that I usually am. And it felt a little like I was being attacked, you know?

And I wanted to talk just a little about other kinds of stories. Let’s see if I can get it together here.

Dreamtime Stories or Skits That Feel Like Reality

There is a story that we tell ourselves in dreamtime … Many different stories. Every dream is a different story.

Maybe two nights ago, or three nights ago, I just fell asleep and I was dreaming. And a telepath woke me up. And the moment I woke up … just at that instant … I could see the dream dissolving. It was like there was a whole dream skit going on … with people in it, and a story developing … and then I heard this telepathic word … and the whole thing disappeared in the wink of an eye.

It was eerie. It was as if I had convinced myself that some whole story was true, and it was not true at all, you know? Not in the least! It was just a dream.

And I got to thinking that our lives here … all the mental stories that we tell ourselves … are another untrue realm. Completely untrue.

The Stories We Tell Ourselves About Our Lives

The story that we tell to other people about ourselves is even less true, most likely. And the true story of our lives … The story of our birth and death, our entrance and exit from the world, and all that happens in between … That is not a true story either, any more than that dream I had was.

It is just a little skit that we are putting on, to learn something that the Divine is hoping that we will learn. Either we learn it, or we do not learn it. But we will have another chance to learn it.

So, I think that is all I have on that. I would be interested in your thoughts on it.

Conclusion

I wish you a life without stories. A life in which the truth of reality comes through … the ever-changing reality of existence. And not snagged by any kind of by-line or tag. Just, unfolding instantaneously and miraculously in the Now. [waves goodbye]
