INTRODUCTION

Dear Ones,

Here is an avian-human interspecies communication sequel. I get a sharp warning from a Songbird, which says there is a Snake on the footpath I just turned onto. I turn back to the fireroad right away, and our avian-human conversation continues.

Hello, Dear Ones. It’s Alice. I Am of the Stars.

I turn right down a footpath and a Songbird warns me sharply that a Snake is there. So I turn back to the fireroad, which is much wider. I figure it will be easier to see snakes there.

Alice to Songbird: Snake!

Songbird: Yep! Snake!

Alice to Songbird: Yep, Snake?

Songbirds talking softly to each other: Thank you very much! Ok, then!

Alice to Songbirds: Oh my! Thank you! Thank you very much indeed! Snake? I’ll go this way. Oh, no!

Songbirds talking softly to each other: Thank you very much! She’s speaking very softly! Yep!
