Hello, Dear Ones, It’s Alice. I Am of the Stars.

I found here another roadside cross. Mostly, in this area so close to the border, the roadside crosses have to do with people who are trying to get across the border into the United States … the land of opportunity … and who pass on, maybe from dehydration, maybe from being turned upon by someone waiting in the bushes to prey upon them, or even, perhaps, by their own guides to this country.

I read in the local paper, just the other day, that there are just so many people who passed on … found under a sage bush, or whatever these desert plants are, right here … just found lying there, sometimes. It must be very upsetting for those that find them.

One can only imagine from what dire circumstances they flee, to take these chances to get to a better place to live, here in America. But this particular cross, I see, says on it “United States Marine Corps.” I guess the person that passed on here was a member of the Marine Corps, which is unusual. And the story must be very different.
