Dear Ones,

This is about my childhood home, childhood memories, and trepidation and exhilaration as we step into our new home on New Earth. There are an Outline and an edited Summary after the video …

OUTLINE OF THE VIDEO

  • A place near a Colorado country church where a family once lived in their trailer, which is now gone too. But on a concrete step we can still see their handprints.
  • Memory of my two younger sisters and me placing our handprints in concrete at my childhood home. I remember thinking how large my handprint looked compared to those of my younger sisters, back then.
  • Something was lost when my childhood home was lost, and something is leaving Earth right now, as we move into our new home on New Earth.
  • We human beings used to have small handprints, like those my sisters and I cast in concrete. In our new home on New Earth, we will have bigger handprints, a bigger point of view. And there will be less judgments about whose handprint is bigger. There will be lots of people in our new home … lots of nationalities, all the plants and animals on Earth, and her lands and waters. All this will come into our consideration.

SUMMARY OF THE VIDEO

Hello, Dear Ones, It’s Alice.

I am over here at the site of the tiny little church, near where I live. It is near sunset. I was walking by, just to stretch my legs, and I noticed something where the dirt is bare over here … See this long strip of bare dirt? [Shows dirt.] … That was the site of a single-wide trailer in which a family was living a while back. They were on the church property. And then they moved out.

I was looking for a place to sit and talk to you all for a minute or two. I came across this concrete step. It was a step that went up to the stairs that went up to the door to get into the single-wide, if you can visualize that.

Along the sides of the front step were these handprints, you see? [Shows 5 handprints in a row, imprinted in the concrete on each side of the step] … Some were larger, and some were smaller. I guess the whole family got together, and made this front door stoop, and then everybody pressed their palm into it. Maybe some people pressed theirs a couple of time? It is hard to say, because it looks like they are all one-hand prints. It might have been quite a few people that lived here.

I got to thinking about my own family, and my own house. Let me sit down, and we will talk for a minute.

I do not know how much light we have left, because the Sun is going down in a blaze of glory. I ought to show you the Sun. Just a minute …

[shows video of sunset] Here is the sunset; I got a good picture. Can you see the little rays coming up? Well, maybe not. Did you hear the cow lowing? Maybe they got out again. They are longhorn cows, and that is pretty scary! … Beautiful sunset. Wow!

Stories by Alice: Small Handprints in Concrete

I got to thinking about my own home, where I grew up, with my parents and my siblings. I remember that we did something very similar to what the family that used to live in the trailer here did … We were making a step, or something, with concrete. At the time, there were only three children: It was I, and my two sisters, and my parents.

And my father had each one of us put our handprint in the concrete. Mine was relatively large … I was the eldest child, and my baby sister at the time, who eventually became my middle sibling, had a tiny little handprint. And my middle sister had a medium-sized handprint. It was great!

We kept those handprints and that concrete, all down through the time, while my father passed on, my sister passed on, and finally my mother passed on, and the house was sold. And at the time when the house was sold, those handprints were still there. Whenever I saw them, in that tiny piece of concrete that was there at the far end of the porch near the kitchen door, I used to think back to the time when I was just a small child, and I felt like my handprint was really large … larger than my sisters’  [laughs] … And how those handprints were forever lost when we sold the family home. You know?

Humankind’s New Handprint

I got to thinking that it is a lot like how it is now, with Earth. It is kind of like we had a home on Earth, you know? We were used to having a small handprint, and we were used to having a childish point of view.

And now we are getting a new home. We are going to be living on New Earth, and our point of view is going to change a lot. It is going to include a lot more than it used to include. And there will be a lot less judgments about whose handprint is bigger than someone else’s handprint.

We will be thinking more about other people … not just our families, but lots of people. And lots of nationalities. And all the animals and plants on Earth … the beautiful waters of Earth … All this will come into our consideration.

And it will be like our new handprint … You know what I mean? … for the Universe. [sighs] … So there is a certain amount of nostalgia in looking at something like the handprints. The single-wide trailer is gone; and the family is gone.

Long after the family was gone, a family of stray cats lived underneath the trailer; I could hear them playing around under there. Now the cats are off someplace; and the family has gone on. Everything has changed, you know? There is a little bit of sadness there, when you think about everything changing. Is it not? But it is pretty cool, in a way, too. I mean, there is a little trepidation, but there are some great possibilities in the offing.

That is it for tonight. Looks like the Sun is going down, so we are ending this video just in time. Love everybody very much, and I wish you not too much trepidation in these times of change, and a chance to look forward to a wonderful future.

In love, light and joy,
Alice B. Clagett
