Dear Ones,
INTRODUCTION
Jerusalem oak goosefoot … also known as Dysphania botrys, Chenopodium botrys, sticky goosefoot, and feathered geranium … is a fragrant wild herb that grows in waste places from California to Canada, in the Eastern United States, in Central Europe, and in Tibet. I found the plant shown in the video in the San Gabriel Mountains of California.
Intuition tells me this plant may be useful to clear the mind and the lungs, as is purported to be the case with these Santa Monica Mountains plants: white, purple, and black sage, wooly blue curls, and sagebrush. Further research is needed on the medicinal value of these plants, perhaps for use as essential oils?
There is an edited Summary after the video. After that is a new section …

… which I have encountered before, is Dysphania botrys, a strongly fragrant herb that, I read online, is sometimes used to flavor foods. Intuitively, I feel that the scent of Dysphania botrys clears the mind and the lungs. If this is so, then its essential oil might be helpful in herbal healing. …

Grief, Sorrow and Sadness
Maybe Dysphania botrys would be useful for grief, sorrow, and sadness, which are often stored in the lungs. The mind is a little less clear when emotions are stored in the body, so this might account for the feeling I have that this herb clears the mind as well as the lungs.
………
EMOTIONS STORED IN THE LUNGS
I feel the reason that sad emotions are stored in the lungs may be that, when we feel the emotions, we may hunch our shoulders a little … This is an instinctive reaction to protect the heart as it experiences sadness. This slight posture change constricts the lungs, making the space available for intake of air smaller and less efficient.
CORRECTING POSTURAL IMPERFECTIONS RESOLVES SOUL WOUNDING
Where there are postural imperfections, there our Soul wounding incidents are stored. Why is this? Maybe the perfectly healthy body naturally resolves and transmutes Soul wounding and the negative emotions involved. This theory, that perfection of posture can result in spiritual transformation is the basis of the Rolfing healing technique, for example.
From my own experience with bodywork, I have found that correcting posture, working with physical education, including stretching as well as toning workouts, getting shiatsu treatments, and so on, are very effective in clearing negative emotions stored in slight postural misalignments.
PERFECTING PHYSICAL BALANCE ALSO PERFECTS MENTAL AND EMOTIONAL BALANCE
Then for balance, there are physical exercises such as standing on first one foot, then the other. In addition, working with the breath, first from one nostril, then from the other, assists in balancing the body energies. This work with the physical body affects the body’s energy fields, including the mind and the emotions.
In love, light and joy,
