INTRODUCTION
Dear Ones,
Starring in this video are one cranky Nanday hubby and one beguiling Nanday missus.
Do Nandays have the right not to be persecuted in America? I vote yes for Nandays! Be kind to all beings on Earth, say I!
There is an edited Summary after the video …

SUMMARY OF THE VIDEO
Just back there, on the road to the street, I heard a Nanday. So I opened the window and said: Nanday!
Then I saw, over on this side, four Vultures circling in the sky. Then, like the Ravens do, I said to the Nanday: Vulture! Vulture! Vulture! Vulture! [assuming that the Nandays, like the Ravens, count by repetition rather then by using number words]
And the Nanday said, in that very loud, very assertive voice that they have: Hey, guys! I just found out! Those birds are called the Vulture! [Alice laughs.]
Alice to Readers: So they do learn. They pick up those names for other animals from the humans. They are learning English, you know, because they probably already have their own language.
. . . . .
I am going back down the driveway and I am listening for the Nanday … I am not hearing anything. Then I hear a Nanday.
Alice to Nanday: Nanday!
First Nanday to Alice: GET OUT of my city!
Alice to Nanday: Here! Nanday!
Second Nanday to Alice: My husband meant ‘NAN-day city’!
First Nanday to Alice: Yes he DID mean to say that!
Alice to Nandays: Aw! Get out of my CI-ty? Did I hear THAT? Huh!
First Nanday to Alice: Yep! You did.
Alice: Awww!
First Nanday to Alice: It’s NAN-day city!
Alice to Nanday: Nanday! Nanday!
Second Nanday: Yes! That IS what it is.
First Nanday: Yes, NAN-day city! … NAN-day city! … It’s NAN-day NA-A-AN-day city!
First Nanday: YES, it is … YES, it is … AND YES, it is.
Alice to Nandays : Nanday! I love YOU!? Good GOOD Nanday.
First Nanday [brusquely]: THANK you. Thank you!
Alice to Readers: At least I got a ‘thank you’. Yeah! That’s what he’s saying.
Second Nanday: —, Why did you say that to her?
First Nanday [making up for lost time]: GET OUT OF MY GODDAMNED CITY! [Gosh, how rude!]
Alice: O-kay.
Second Nanday is laughing. First Nanday: My GODDAMNED CITY! THANK you!
Alice to Readers: Okay. Nanday says that he loves Nanday, and then talked to the other Nandays ….
Second Nanday is laughing.
First Nanday: Yep. GODDAMN it! (and etc.)
Alice to Readers: … and they said ‘Get out!’ … and so he is explaining that.
Alice to Nanday: Okay. I’m leaving. I love YOU!
First Nanday to Alice: GET OUT!
Alice to Nanday: GOOD Nanday. GOOD Nanday.
First Nanday to Alice: God-DAMN-it! DAMN-it! Get . out . [and etc etc.]
Alice to Readers: They are just trying to protect themselves because people are really mean to the Nandays out here. The Nandays are very, very intelligent. But people think that they are not native birds, and so they think they have the right to kill them.
It doesn’t seem right. It doesn’t seem right that we should be killing beings that are sentient … Don’t you feel it? I mean, they are so bright! And they are so sweet to their families! And they have such a long child-rearing process! They have so many points in common with human beings!
I don’t know how we could justify killing them just because they are not native beings. You know? I mean, how native are we? We Caucasians don’t belong here! We don’t go round killing Caucasians, do we … (Well, now that I think of it, I guess some people do.)
That kind of justification could lead to killing of all the Caucasians. It’s just not right. It is a global community now. For all the beings it is a global community.
I could see where, if something is destroying our agricultural crops, we might need to kill that pest. That I could see. I mean, there is no saying that we are better than others, but all the species try to protect themselves. You know? And it makes sense to try to protect our agricultural crops, even if that means we have to kill certain beings that are feasting on them. Or else we must drive them away somehow,
But what are the Nandays doing? They are just hanging out, having a wonderful time, and trying to protect themselves from the Hawks and Lord knows what all. I am pro Nanday. I am in favor of, within reason, letting them just be here with us. Don’t you feel that? Why must they be so frightened of us and so standoffish?
. . . . .
Alice to Readers: Gee, things are happening to me all day with regard to animal communication. I use up a pile of film and batteries trying to get all of them it. It ought to be a good idea, but, my glory! …
I am heading back towards the entrance, …
[There is a Nanday family grouping here … a Mother Nanday, a Father Nanday, and one or more Baby Nandays. Sometimes father and baby are speaking simultaneously, or father answers the mother instead of the baby answering, so transcribing the conversation is a challenge.]
Baby Nanday, cooing sweetly [seeing my car approach]: Wow, PEO-ple! PEO-ple!
Mother Nanday to Baby Nanday [laughing]: CUT that OUT!
Alice to Readers: … and I am hoping to hear something from the Nandays. Let’s see what happens …
Mother Nanday, cooing a sweet whistle to Father Nanday: Sweetheart, be REAL-ly CRU-el to her, or she will try to eat us up.
Father Nanday [laughing gruffly]: ALL right.
Mother Nanday to Father Nanday [whispering prompt for it to swear]: JE-sus Christ, it is …]
Baby Nanday, all atwitter [picking up on the prompt]: It is that LA-dy! GOD DAMN IT! Lady is BACK again!
Alice to Nanday: Nanday?
First Nanday: I can’t STAND her. I can’t STAND it!
Alice to Nanday: I love YOU-u! Love, love, love! Love NAN-day. Good GOOD Nanday.
First Nanday: That lady has no right to …
Alice to Nanday: See you later! Bye, bye, bye!
First Nanday to Alice: STOP it! Nanday … STOP it!
Alice to Nanday: Nanday!
First Nanday to Alice: THANK you! LADY!
First Nanday: GET OUT and never come BACK again again! LA-DY!
Alice to First Nanday: Alice Clagett does not love Daddy, yes?
First Nanday to Alice: Yep!
Alice to First Nanday: That’s RI-ght?
First Nanday to Alice: Yep! Yep!
Alice to First Nanday: Oh … We’re not scared! Okay.
First Nanday to Alice: Yep!
Alice to First Nanday: Oh … very courageous! Courageous flier!
First Nanday to Alice: Yep!
Alice to First Nanday: Free! Strong! GOOD Nanday.
Second Nanday (sotto voce): Jesus Christ, she is trying to sweeten us up!
First Nanday: Right! DAMN right!
Second Nanday: Do BET-ter! NAN-day strength!
First Nanday (trying to be as mean as can be): Damn Right!
Second Nanday: Do BET-ter!
Second Nanday (prompting}: Yeah! THANK you.
Alice to First Nanday: Brave . Brave . Yes, free!
First Nanday: DAMN RIGHT! DAMN YOU-U!
Alice to Nandays: Thank you . Thank you .
Second Nanday (cooing, quietly prompting): ‘Thank you very much.’ SWEET-ly …
First Nanday: ALL right!
Second Nanday: That wasn’t really a very good ‘Thank you’.
Alice to Readers: You know, I would like to channel some more …
First Nanday (subdued): Yes it was! …
Alice to Readers: … extraterrestrial beings. They are a lot of fun. They are so much fun, and so unexpectable! Maybe it will happen! Maybe it will happen soon. What do you think?
Nanday to Alice [really loud – perfect rendition, per prior prompts from its peers]: GOD . DAMN . IT!
Alice to Nanday: Huh? Goddamnit? What? What did I DO?
CONCLUSION
God bless you all,
And keep you safe,
And be with you
Through all your days.
In love, light and joy
