I found this video online just now, at Space Weather News … www.spaceweathernews.com … https://iswa.gsfc.nasa.gov/IswaSystemWebApp/iSWACygnetStreamer?timestamp=2038-01-23+00%3A44%3A00&window=-1&cygnetId=261 ..
It looks to me as if two coronal mass ejections are combining and impacting Earth’s atmosphere (the yellow circle) at once.
One is slower moving, and spread out, and the other is fast moving, and likely to be dense.
Here is a still from the video, showing the combined Earth impact …

The yellow-red areas are incoming coronal mass ejections, as I understand it.
