Previously titled: Death and the Desire Elemental
Dear Ones,
I found in one of Arthur E. Powell’s Theosophical compilations descriptions of the Soul’s progression through various subplanes of the astral realm (from coarser to more refined levels) after death …
This description seems to me to be another way of viewing the Ascension process, only during Ascension we keep physical form and also pass from the coarser astral subplanes to the more refined astral subplanes, preparatory to the fifth dimensional experience. My teachers call this process the healing of Soul wounding, resolution of karmic miasmic distortions or of morphogenetic field distortions, clearing of samskaras, and so on.
The below referenced passages, taken altogether, comprise the entirety of “The Astral Body and Other Phenomena” compiled by Arthur E. Powell, published 1927, Quest Book edition 1973, copyright The Theosophical Publishing House, London, Ltd. 1965 … “Chapter XII: Death and the Desire Elemental.” I have interspersed the citations with my own comments regarding Ascension.
To preserve the copyright I must cite the references rather than including the quotations. I hope this will not deter the reader from looking up the passages.

It is this ‘box’ of astral matter through which we are now sifting, and clarifying, though we are still grounded in physical form. This keeping of the physical form is a free-will choice that is now available on ascended Earth.

Since the Shift in 2012, my Body of Light has been clarifying. Until quite recently I have been experiencing something like the above. On the astral plane, my coarsest astral matter has logged onto other people’s coarsest astral matter, making my world of astral relationships seem dark and gloomy.
During a Solar Event a week or so ago (that was the CME or coronal mass ejection billed by https://www.spaceweather.com as being about to directly impact Earth, and later said by them to have ‘missed’ Earth … go figure!), I experienced a clarification, or ‘throwing off’, of this coarsest astral sheath. Then suddenly, my astral relationships seemed more elevated, more refined. It seemed that the people had changed, but I see now that my own astral matter clarified as a result of the Incoming Light.

Sandra Walter of Ascension Path … https://sandrawalter.com/ … has described the ‘evanescing’ of the physical world in her ‘Light Intel’ blogs. Perception of the material world as shimmering, transparent, and ever changing has been described by Indian yogis. I have also heard that learning the art of walking through material barriers such as walls is part of the Ascension process (a part I haven’t learned yet).
Quite clearly, since we are capable of rewriting history and co-creating reality, the physical world must, perforce, have these ‘evanescing’ qualities. It is only that our physical senses have a ‘coalescing’ faculty, a ‘blur feature’; that is, a way of glossing over what they truly perceive, and leaving out the inconvenient, ever-changing truth of co-creation in favor of a ‘state of permanence’ mental filter.

When we create the feeling of Oneness or Unity in our Bodies of Light, then the particles in our Body of Light disperse and homogenize. This disperses the mental filters of disease and incarnational emotional-mental wounding. The body elementals, the ‘angels within’, also disperse into the golden white light of the Body of Light, then re-emerge in perfect beauty.
In the same way, when a physical illness or emotional trauma is sensed somewhere in the body, it is good to concentrate on the more homogenized portion of the Body of Light around this dense anomaly. Generally I find that, by concentrating on lightness, dispersedness, the dense anomaly (whether physical, mental or emotional, or some combination of these) will disperse into the Body of Light. In this way the issue of physical disease and Soul wounding is resolved.

In love, light and joy,
