Dear Ones,
This is about a leadup of early arriving Light that I thought might presage the arrival of an Earth-directed dark coronal mass ejection (a CME).
[8/28/2023 — It looks to me that the dark CME missed Earth. Maybe the Light I saw had to do with the near miss; if not, I cannot put a peg to it. –AC]
The contrast of Light to shadow on the viewfinder of my camcorder was much more startling, time after time, than those conveyed by the images I present in the video.
I hesitated to alter the camcorder images, although the camcorder itself had apparently adjusted for the glare. So I have presented to you in the video the images as automatically altered by the camcorder.
Nevertheless, I made one revised image which I have effected for more realistic depiction of the contrast between Light and shadow that I saw in the camcorder that day. Here it is …

Yesterday there was a dark CME that lifted off the Sun. It was quite large … very impressive … and it looks to me as if it is directly Earty-directed. It should arrive in two or three days.
