Here is an introduction to the topic of that bane of the telepath’s existence … the group telepathic glom. These group telepathic gloms are legion. Whenever we join a group … whenever we attend a gathering … we sign on the dotted line and subscribe to a group telepathic glom.
The thoughts of everyone we shook hands with will be tromping round in our dreams for as long as we continue in the physical or virtual group relationship.
You may say: What is the trouble with that? The trouble is that these thoughts inevitably have to do with desire.
By desire I mean not only what is termed ‘lust of the flesh’, but desire of all kinds. It might be desire to natter on, or desire not to be spoken to. It might be desire to gossip.
It might be desire for shared folly. It might be desire to convert me to their religion or to their point of view.
It might be subconscious desire to share one’s malware or malspeak. It might be desire once more to play out one’s Soul wounding scenarios … such as, for instance, the desire to seek vengeance for a romantic breakup by substituting me for the lost beloved.
It might be desire for friendship, and that sounds fine to me. On the other hand, it might be desire to cover up one’s true feelings, which would not be my cup of tea.
It might be desire to grab a ‘scapegoat’ or ‘sin eater’ onto whom may be cast the worries and the misgivings of the group.
Worst case scenario, it might be desire to sacrifice me for the ends of a member of the group, or for the ends of the group as a whole.
The people in the group want something from us … or else they want to be rid of us.
Sometimes they all think the same desire-filled thought about us. It might be “We love you!” It might be “We hate you!” That is the sort of trouble a telepath can encounter in signing on the dotted line and joining a group. Now let’s turn to series author Alice B. Clagett for a few thoughts on this topic.

I have thought about this for a long time, and I have come up with some theories about this phenomenon. These theories are ably expounded by our narrator Matthew Nihra below.

Telepathic Interactions Between a Bonded Man and Woman. I ran across the term ‘quadrupole’ in the field of physics. It appealed to me in that I felt it might help visualize the complex electromagnetic interactions that occur in group telepathic gloms. I will explain why …
The derivation of the word ‘quadrupole’ is ‘quadri’ and ‘pole’. ‘Quadri’ means ‘four’. One might think of a ‘pole’ as a region of strongest magnetism and/or electric force.
A ‘quadrupole’ might be defined as a magnet with not one but two north poles, and with two south poles as well. Another definition of ‘quadrupole’ is that it visually represents how the electric charge and/or the magnetic force of two dipoles interact.
As you may know, nerve messages in our brains take place through movement principally of the electric force within our bodies. When a man and a woman connect through ‘magnetism’ … through the magnetic force … then we have what might be termed a ‘dipole’ … something like a magnet with a north pole and a south pole.
The electric force within a dipole … and within a well bonded human man and woman … is relatively stable. Morphing of their combined electric and magnetic fields occurs when bonding is attenuated or abruptly cut off. But in general, heterosexual bonding creates a stable ‘double’ electromagnetic field or ‘dipole’ …

This is my intuitive understanding of the energetic interaction of a bonded couple. The telepathic interaction between a bonded couple, as I have experienced it, is relatively sedate, comfortable, and easy-going. This is something that I myself have experienced, and which I am hoping to convey to my reader now, despite my skimpy knowledge of physics.

I have an intuitive understanding of the inadvisability of undertaking ‘swinging’ activities, despite the fact that in many situations it is commonplace. I will try to explain, in terms of physics and telepathy, my understanding of the inadvisability of this practice.
Say you are one of a bonded heterosexual couple. Another couple wants to bond with you sexually. Were you and your loved one to agree to this, then when sexual intercourse has taken place amongst the four of you, a ‘quadrupole’ electromagnetic field will occur.
The ‘quadrupole’ is a much less stable energy array than the dipole that you and your loved one once were. It is an ever-changing energetic array. That may be exciting at first, but it likely has its ups and downs, and I feel it is unlikely to be a long-term arrangement. In fact, it may be the trigger for breakdown of the bonding between you and your loved one.
I have found a video by HHHerrmann that depicts quadrupole transition in a hydrogen atom. I feel this video gives a general notion of the electromagnetic instability of a telepathic glom between two ‘swinging’ couples …

The video starts off with this shape: two dots, one above the other; between them are two donut shapes. Then the two donuts morph into two disc-like shapes. Then each disc attaches to the dot nearest to it. Later in the video the shapes morph to two oblong shapes with no accompanying donut shapes or discs. Later on these two oblong shapes bounce up and down; first they look like oblong shapes, then like fat blobs.
Of course, there is not a straight-line analogy between quadrupole transition in a hydrogen atom and the complexity of, say, telepathy amongst four people. But I feel the video offers a visual impression of the many possible energy configurations to such a four-way telepathic glom.
Telepathic Interactions Amongst Crowds of People. Now imagine a telepathic glom involving a group of a thousand or more people. What kind of EMF distortion would be experienced by me, the ‘one part in a thousandth’ portion of this pulsating telepathic energy field? This simply beggars belief.
Octopole. In “The New Yorker,” 13 February 2017, Adam Davidson described the magnetic field of Earth as having quadrupole and octopole (eight poles — Heaven forfend!) qualities …

Then there are the incoming geostorms and solar wind gusts, which bounce the electromagnetic field of Earth a little like a basketball in an all-Star game. To my mind, group telepathy with all the people on Earth … with what is termed the ‘noosphere’ … and with the electromagnetic field of Earth herself … approaches chaos theory, the variables are so great.
Ways to Avoid Group Telepathic Gloms
What I am leading up to is this: I find it best for a peaceful, happy life to ‘ungroup’ from group telepathic gloms. The question is: How can I go about accomplishing this? What techniques can be employed to stabilize one’s own energy field, to prevent what is termed in esoteric lore human ‘entity attachments’, and to ‘de-glom’ from group telepathic gloms?
Going Non-Virtual. Avoiding Interacting with Large Groups of People. I find it helps to get off social networks and to minimize emails. I try to arrange my day-to-day group interactions so that they will be with small rather than large groups. I try to avoid contact with folks who interact with large groups.

Grounding. I spend time every day ‘grounding’ by working in the yard or walking in the mountains. I feel that simply sitting on the ground might be helpful as well.

Sidebar: Cautions about Copper Fabric
Copper-impregnated fabric and copper fabric are widely promoted online and in stores to shield the human electromagnetic field and to protect handhelds and PCs from hacking. I feel that not enough science has gone into the results of using copper-impregnated and copper fabric as a shield for the human body to make clear what side effects there may be. I myself decided only to use these products during severe geostorms. I suggest you carefully craft your personal guidelines as well. Note also that I have no financial interest in these products.

Avoiding or Masking Motor Noises. Sometimes motor noises in the background of a living or working environment can increase the intensity of sound of group telepathic gloms. In my case, I find that the sound of HVAC, whether air conditioning or heating, the sound of the refrigerator motor or of a fan motor, the sound of a washing machine or drier, the sound of a car engine, and freeway motor noises … all these contribute to the intensity of my experience of group telepathic gloms.

By far the best way I have found to alleviate a glom induced by motor noises is to physically go to a place where there are no motor noises. If that is not possible … if I must stay in a place with dissonant motor sound in it … then I will introduce an overlay of harmonic sound, such as a CD with restful music.
One-on-One, Face-to-Face Social Interaction. I find that an excellent way to cancel out group telepathic gloms is social interaction with friends or acquaintances in the physical world rather than the virtual world …

I realize the COVID scare makes everyone a little leery of face-to-face confrontations. I myself espouse and believe in inoculation with the COVID vaccine. If you feel the same way, and if you are up to date on your COVID booster shots, I suggest socializing face-to-face with others who have gotten their booster shots. That may provide peace of mind about avoiding COVID while socializing.

So now we have some answers to the question: How can we avoid group telepathic gloms? The answers I have found are to minimize virtual social contact; to ‘ground’ and meditate; to shield myself using copper fabric, aluminum foil, or ear plugs; to avoid the dissonance of motor noises in my environment or to introduce a harmonic overlay to neutralize these motor noises; and best of all, to spend time in the physical presence of a few friends and acquaintances.
By utilizing one of these techniques I find it is possible to disengage these group telepathic gloms from my personal energy field. I hope these techniques may be useful to you as well, should you begin to experience these gloms.
In the next video I will explain how a feeling for the rhythmic motion of heavenly bodies can help a person experience a sense of telepathic peace and quiet.
