SUMMARY OF THE VIDEO

[Shows a flock of ravens in a California sycamore tree.] I think they call this kind of gathering … if it were crows, instead of ravens, they would call it a Caucus of Crows. If it were larks, they would call it an Exultation of Larks. But since it is ravens, they call it an Unkindness of Ravens.

I have to guess that these ravens might be attracted to the sound of… [raucus cawing] … Hi, dudes! Hello, hello, hello! … [the ravens fly off … I laugh] … They have great disdain for adult human beings, but they like exuberant little children … [Zooms to road maintenance machine making a loud motor noise.] … They will always take a look, and exclaim, and carry on about little children, wondering what they will do next.

I had a feeling that maybe these particular ravens were attracted to the road maintenance that is being done up here. Hear that sound? For some reason, they were fascinated by that sound.

And now, here we go … [shows ravens once more landing on the tree] … 1, 2, … Almost everybody is gone. I cannot explain it … 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14,15 …

Well, so, I will say goodbye. It has been quite an encounter here … [All the ravens fly off.] … Bye, bye; see you later!
