Tips on Imaging the Sun

I have a tip for you, if [in case you] are out taking pictures of the Sun today: I find that it is much easier to get good pictures if the Sun is partially obscured by the foliage of trees. For instance, right now there is a tree partly cutting down on the Light coming from the Sun, and I am getting better images from my camcorder.

And it also works if there is a circular opening in tree leaves, so that the Sun is peering through that opening. That also helps.

Are Trees Artists?

You know, trees are pretty good artists. You may have noticed the work that they do to memorialize their non-tree friends in their [tree] trunks that I’ve put online before. [See references at end of this video.]

And it seems to me possible that they are also altering the portrait of the Light that I am taking with the camcorder so as to make it more understandable to us humans. [It is] as if they were translators of the Sun for us. It’s a thought!
