Giants so rarely are sighted these days. The location is quite close to the Santa Susana Field Laboratory in the Simi Hills, California. SSFL is noted for the Rocketdyne partial nuclear meltdown (July 1959) and for contamination of bedrock and ground water by a toxic rocket cleaning solvent trichloroethylene.
