Last night I found a youtube video about a man who was attacked by a younger Mountain Lion cub in Colorado in the year 2019.
According to the transcript of the video, the weight of the Mountain Lion cub was 25-30 pounds (not 80-100 pounds as stated vocally in the video itself. That would make the cub about 6 months old.
The man escaped by stepping on the Mountain Lion’s neck …

Any port in a storm, as they say, but I feel this technique is more likely to work for a strong man in good physical condition than for a woman.
I also note the transcript of that video mentions that Mountain Lions may go for a person’s vital organs with their hind legs once they latch onto the head or hand with their teeth. So the hind legs must somehow be pinned down and immobilized at the same time that you step on the Mountain Lion’s neck.
