INTRODUCTION
Dear Ones,
This HD video shows a Red-Tailed Hawk, claws extended, as it soars over the Chatsworth Nature Preserve and searches for prey. You can hear the frightened cries of the dog that lives down the hill. Word must have got round from the commotion amongst the dogs on the hill above me that the Hawks swoop down and peck the dogs’ eyes out.
If ’twere true, then no dog be safe in the San Fernando Valley! I hope this is fear, not fact. It is not just the dogs I worry about, but also their unobservant humans.
