Dear Ones,

I found a great prayer to Saint Michael on the topic of Spirit Warfare. It is from 1890. I have converted it to daily shorts for a little while. This is the first short. It goes like this …

“O glorious Archangel Saint Michael, prince of the heavenly host, defend us in battle, and in the struggle which is ours against the principalities and powers; against the rulers of this world of Darkness; against spirits of evil in high places.

“Come to the aid of men, whom God created immortal … made in His own image and likeness; and redeemed at a great price from the tyranny of the devil.

“Arise then, o invincible prince. Bring help against the attacks of the lost spirits. Bring help to the people of God, and bring them the victory.”

That is today’s quote from the 1890 Prayer to Saint Michael. That is “Short No.1” (although I will admit that it might be shorter). The Biblical references are …

“For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.” –Ephesians 6:12 (KJV)
