INTRODUCTION

Dear Ones,

Here is a video about a walk in Malibu Creek State Park after the great rains of early February 2024. There is talk about naiads (water nymphs) and about guardian forces such as our Ascension Team and helpful nature spirits.

VIDEO BY ALICE

SUMMARY OF THE VIDEO

NARRATIVE: Hi, everyone!

I am over here at Malibu Creek State Park right after the deluge. I have to show you what has become of the creek here, where children usually bathe in placid waters … [shows torrent].

Yes, it is a torrent, going down that way. And across the road the bank has been overcut. This is where the hiking path used to go through over here. Of course, it is just a social path. The trees [along the bank of the creek] are all knocked down [well, 2 trees were knocked down]; and over there [at the side of the approach road] the bulldozer has pulled up the detritus that had been all along the bank here when the creek overflowed its banks.

[The edges of the creek] look very clear now.

. . . . .

Look at this one … it is the same creek, and there is usually hardly any water at all in here. You could not even see the water usually. This is after the deluge. [Shows swollen creek.} See, that is all water there, going around. It has even made little islands for itself. This is very rare.

I do not know; maybe we are turning into the Garden of Eden in California.

This is an incredible sight. There is hardly any water down here usually … just a few ducks swimming around in isolated pools where there used to be a stream in the wintertime.

The road down here has a rivulet flowing through. I have to just show you where it ends up … Ok, here is the road, and there is the rivulet, all dug deep into the dirt. The rivulet is going down to this huge flood down here, where usually there is hardly anything at all; really nothing at some times of year.

Ok now, you are not going to believe it. Hold onto your socks! Here it is. It is really huge. It is hard to get the visuals because this is as long across as a football field, I would say. It is a huge, raging torrent.

And way down this way [to the right], kind of a rapids is flowing around a bend in the creek … around the curve.

As it goes down [to the left] the current gets deeper and swifter. I am very glad I am not crossing this stream today. It looks like a very dangerous proposition, is it not? Gosh!

There are a lot of people out walking in Malibu Creek State Park today, considering it is right after the huge rainstorm that we had for many days. The funny thing is, they all have big smiles on there faces. Everyone wants to talk and socialize. It is terrific!

The man at the front kiosk said there was hardly anyone here, but I am amazed, considering how the weather has been until today. It is a great experience; very exhilarating.

[Shows panorama of mountains.] Nice, is it not? There is someone far along the path, hiking along. I just saw two others, and before that, two others.

I am going to show you another video clip of this same creek. The water divvies up into three separate streams up here. I have never seen it do that before. I have seen the watercourses, but I have never seen the water high enough to flow through all three courses.

Ok, that is the one [shows the first]; and this is the second one [shows the second]; and higher up is the third one [shows the third]. I imagine it looks like an ancient hieroglyph from far above.

And over there [top left, white building with green roof] is the Visitors Center, so you know where you are.

A family just went by, and the person before that, and the person before that … a gentleman walking by himself … warned me about this little landslide that partially blocks the hiking road. [Shows landslide.] You can see it is not too bad, because there is room to walk around it. It is not still moving, like some of that stuff we saw on the news. The footing is a little tough here though. So, what do you think?

HYPNOTIC BEAUTY OF THE NATURAL WORLD

[Shows leaf spinning on a tendril of a chaparral bush.]

HOW NAIADS OR WATER NYMPHS SHAPE RIPPLES IN A CREEK

. . . . .

[Shows ripples in the water of the creek.} You can see in these wavelets the guiding influence of naiads or water nymphs at play. They shape the graceful curves of the water. It is no wonder they used to depict the naiads as beautiful young women, luring unwary young men towards the edge of the waters.

. . . . .

NARRATIVE: [Shows grey heron by creek.]

[Shows black water bird with wings outspread.} This bird reminds me of a cormorant or snake bird or anhinga that I saw in Brazil a long time ago. I think they have to dry out their wings after they dive.

[Shows small hawk (?)flying away from an oak tree, making quite a bit of complaining noise.] Looks like I scared that hawk off. It is still over by the Nature Center, complaining to its friends who are airborne over the other way [points to left].

What do we have here? Is that woodpeckers?

All the birds are so happy! They must have been very cold when it was raining. They must have gotten their feathers right wet. Now they are just glad that their feathers are drying out, I think.

[Shows turkey vultures circling overhead.} See? Turkey vultures. These are searching for dead animals to eat.]

. . . . .

WARNING FROM INVISIBLE GUARDIAN

. . . . .

CAPTION: Someone small and invisible who was hovering above the right top of my head said,” That man over there might be armed!” and pointed to the right. [The creek was to the right, but my view of the creek was obscured by a Creekside border of trees and brush.]

NARRATIVE: And more … [Shows turkey vultures circling overhead.]

CAPTIONS: These types of warnings happen from time to time. Likely it was one of my Ascension Team members, or maybe a nature spirit.

These beings are always looking out for me.

So I looked to the right, and sure enough, there was someone striding across the land on the other side of the creek.

NARRATIVE: There is someone sitting on the opposite bank there. He was walking along the side of the creek priorly. I am right sure that man is armed.

CAPTION: As my small guardian had said, it did not look quite right.

For one thing, what if the man was armed? Visitors to the Santa Monica Mountains are not allowed to carry firearms.

. . . . .

SCRYING AND AUGURY IN THE NATURAL WORLD

Scrying – augury

. . . . .

As a scryer or augur, you can discern the meaning of a pattern in the air, in the water, or on the ground. The mediums into which you gaze can be many.

Image that the pattern of the circling turkey vultures is like the pattern of tea leaves at the bottom of a tea cup … or like the pattern of bones tossed on a cloth placed on the dirt by a shaman.

Use your intuition to discern the deeper meaning of the pattern of turkey vultures, tea leaves, or bones.

NARRATIVE: [Shows turkey vultures circling high overhead.]

Well, the turkey vultures would be an omen, do you not think?

[By this I meant a bad omen, which leant support to what my small, invisible guardian being had just said.]

Let’s see … [Looks to right, through a break in the trees.]

IS HE ARMED OR NOT ARMED? YOU DECIDE!

NARRATIVE: There he is! See what you think! Is he armed or not armed?

CAPTIONS: Remembering what had happened long ago when I ignored a warning from two larger invisible guardians, I quickly hiked out.

At the creek crossing near the parking lot, two rangers had just cleared the road of detritus from the floods.

A happy ending to a great hike after the rains!

In love, light and joy
