Alice: There is that cranky Raven again! Mad [i.e., ‘angry’] at me? Why are you mad at me? What did I do?

[Looks at tree.] That’s your place!

Raven (crankily): Dang right!

Alice to Raven: BRAVE hrafn! STRONG hrafn!

Raven to Alice: STOP TALKing!

Alice to Raven: GOOD hrafn! GOOD hrafn!

Raven (flying closer, but starting to be amused): Stop that now!

Alice to Raven: Hrafn? Not my friend?!

Raven: Not!

Songbirds are interceding for me. You can hear them faintly.

Alice to Raven: I love youuuu!

Raven to Alice: Awk.

Alice to Raven: Yup!

Alice to Raven: Hrafn! I love youuuu.

Raven to Alice: All RIGHT, darn it!

Alice to Raven: Hrafn, Hrafn! What’s wrong? What happened?

Raven to Alice (in a voice like gravel): HAWK ATE FRIEND!

Alice to Raven (in an expression of sympathy): Awwwww!
