As you doubtless know, Halloween is coming up on 29 October 2023. I have never noticed such dark, cruel Halloween energy bubbling up in prior years as has come to be purified by the Light for the last 7 weeks.
Every year on November 1st, the energy of All Saints Day ‘breaks the back’ of the Dark. This year I feel … might you have noticed this too? … that All Saints Day may need a little boost in advance of the actual date.
Yesterday I searched around online and found an All Saints Day Novena that really fills the bill for me, by bringing what is Light and bright and holy in, through prayer, in the 9 days prior to the feast day.

It’s a little late to be beginning, but the next few days may prove trying, both for me and for those of my readers who may be experiencing numbness of the hands and fingers right now.
I read it’s fine to start this very helpful Novena any time. Now would be fine, for instance, and then continuing on past All Saints’ Day.
For those of you Catholics, Lutherans, Anglicans, and Eastern Orthodox Christians who are steeped in the Novena tradition, I heartily recommend this practice.
