INTRODUCTION

Dear Ones,

Here is a new song channeled by Mother and Father Raven through me, Alice B. Clagett. The song is titled “Moder Hrafns Mon (Mother Raven’s Lament) .” The song is in Middle English. Near the end of the song, the word ‘keening’ pertains.

The Song is Standard Copyright by Alice B. Clagett.

The first version of this song is standard definition or SD.

Beneath that is the Take 2 video. In Take 2 I changed the melody a little and added a time-delay breath effect between the stanzas to add emotional wallup. It as if the singer were struggling to breathe. I also changed the verb ‘might’ in the lyrics to ‘may’ as the verb ‘might’ is not found in Middle English.

After the videos is an edited Summary that contains both Middle English and Modern English Lyrics.

I have for your today a song called “Moder Hrafns Mon.” It means “Mother Raven’s Lament.”

The first stanza is from “The Falcon Carol” as was written down by Richard Hill in the early 1500s. The rest of the lyrics I channeled through Mother and Father Raven, who were overseeing the musical composition in my backyard this afternoon. I think they liked it.

It goes like this …

About the Term “Lully Lulley. Lully Lullay” in the Chorus of “Moder Hrafns Mon”

There is a Russian folk song that has a chorus with the words ‘Lyuli, Lyuli’ in it …

Video: “U LIKE – Vo pole bereza stoyola / Birch – acapella cover,” by ULIKEOFFICIAL, 17 July 2022 … https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yt5mV8TKR08 ..

The words ‘Lyuli, Lyuli’ in the Russian folk song are reminiscent of the words ‘Lully Lulley. Lully Lullay’ in my Middle English-language song “Moder Hrafns Mon.”

Here is the English translation of the Russian folk song …

I note from Assistant Bot in Quora that the Russian word ‘lyuli’ (люли) suggests motherly love, or tenderness. They are soothing words, as in a lullaby that is softly sung to calm her child.

The derivation of the Modern English word ‘lullaby’ gives a hint of this. I note from noncopyrightable generative AI on Google: “The word ‘lullaby’ comes from the Middle English words lullen (‘to lull’) and by (‘near’). It was first recorded around 1560.”
