Dear Ones,

Here is a video about the alliance between dwarves and elves; about home invasion and cat bothering by dwarves; and about ways I tried to get them to leave my house …

SUMMARY OF THE VIDEO

Hello, Dear Ones, It’s Alice. I Am of the Stars.

I have a little news about the dwarves and the elves. It seems that the dwarves and the elves have an alliance. This has to do with the human beings, and obtaining gold from the human beings for the dwarves.

One of the things that dwarves do, that is difficult for human beings, is that they want to own the houses and the pets of human beings. They want to take over. They want to own the possessions of human beings for themselves, and for the race of dwarves.

And so I have been having a little trouble with the dwarves lately … much more so than the elves. The elves are mischievous, but the dwarves are very … I would say … you know that word ‘ornery’, sometimes they call it. They want what they want, you know? No matter what, they want what they want.

They are very courageous, and very strong, and very stubborn. And so I have been coming home, and I have been having talks with the dwarves and the elves. I have been coming home, and they have been carrying on ceaseless palavers in my house … and also, messing with my cat … as if they owned my house and my cat!

So today I was just trying to figure out some new plan to deal with the dwarf incursion. It is kind of like ‘home invasion’ by nature spirits! [laughs]

Yesterday I tried telling them that America is no longer on the gold standard, and that we Americans do not really have any gold to speak of, anymore; the gold is all used for industrial purposes and other purposes like that. We do not have gold; they have to look elsewhere for gold.

For a while that worked, but then today they were back again, so I had to think of something new. So I tried like this, saying an affirmation firmly through my navel point energy, my will power, over and over again: This is my house! This house is mine! This is my house! This is my house!

And then my cat came around and I said: This is my cat … my cat Oreo! This cat is my cat!

… like that, over and over again. And it interrupted the flow of the dwarves that had been hanging out on my private property. After a while they got aggravated … not supremely aggravated, but rather, disgruntled and grumpy. And they left.

So I suggest assertion of will power … no more will power than is needed and necessary to the situation … in order to get the dwarves to leave your home! [laughs]

In love, light and joy,
I Am of the Stars

Dear Ones,

INTRODUCTION

Here is 1 John 2 on making good choices in life ..

1 John 2:15-17 (KJV, public domain)

15  “Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.

16  “For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.

17  “And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.”

There is a lightly edited Summary after the video …

SUMMARY OF THE VIDEO

Hello, Dear Ones, It’s Alice. I Am of the Stars.

Right now I have three verses for you that I liked very much. They are in the First Epistle General of John, Chapter 2, verses 15-17. I liked them because they provide immediate direction about the Kingdom of God, and how to be in the eternal Light of God.

A Time of Choosing. The first verse goes like this …

“Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.” –1 John 2:15

So here it is saying … you have heard this, right? … you have to choose whether to love the world or to love God the Father; that the love of the Father is capable of lighting up the heart of a person that loves the Father. But if we turn our attention and our love to the things of Creation, then it becomes much more difficult. We have to be very single-pointed. What do they say? To have ‘one eye’, right?

“The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light.” –Matthew 6:22 (KJV, public domain)

We have to be very single-pointed about what we do in life, because life is kind of short, you know? … Reading onward …

For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.” —1 John 2:16

Now this is good, because it explains what is meant by the world and mammon …

Lust of the Flesh. So, “the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life” … interesting, do you not think? And very poetic. [sighs] … Lust of the flesh most likely would be sexual desire that is not tempered by chastity or love for, say, one’s spouse. That is what I guess … You may have other ideas.

Lust of the flesh, according to Arthur Powell, compiler for the School of Theosophy, is like the desire elemental I have discussed in another blog …

Link: “The Desire Elemental,” by Alice B. Clagett, published on 31 July 2015 … https://wp.me/p2Rkym-5Ub ..

Arthur Powell’s associates always said that we have a desire elemental so that we can relate to this reality, this world. But the spiritual person needs to be constantly training and containing that energy, so that it serves the purpose of the Soul in this incarnation.

Lust of the Eyes. That might be the desire for possessions; the desire for riches and wealth and lands.

The thing about wealth and lands is that, if we think about them as something that we possess … instead of something that is assisting us, for the moment, in our Soul purpose … we get snagged up on that stuff, you know? It is better to think of the things that we see as an ever-changing Soul lesson that we are learning, than to think of them as things that we possess, because that snagginess kind of prevents us from learning our Soul lessons. That is what I think.

Pride of Life. I think that has to do with feeling that you are somebody in the world, you know? You have the social status. You have a certain arrogance of being a particular way in the eyes of other people.

You know, what do we really have, to be proud of, when life is really given to us by God, you know? We get it from God, and eventually give it back to God. So this pride of life consists of a kind of snagginess too; it is like we get stuck on what is happening at this very moment, and forget the beginning and the end of it, you know? … which is the Godliness from which we come and to which we go. So it is short-sightedness, I think; and stuckness, in the flow of the river of eternal life. You know? Last verse …

Death of the World Puts an End to Desire

And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.” –1 John 2:17

Nice, huh? So he is saying, all this snag stuff will come to an end. The minute we pass on, none of that stuff will exist. The desire for it also will pass away, because the desire elemental leaves us, at the moment of death, and goes off to be with somebody else, I guess.

Aligning with God Is a Deathless State

” … but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.” This is the main point here; the point is: Align now with the will of God. Right now, do God’s will in this lifetime, even though all these distractions exist, right?

When it says “abideth forever,” It does not mean ‘after death’, I feel. You could consider that the minute we align with the will of God, we are already in the eternal flow. So death holds no fear, because we continue, even after death, in the eternal flow of the will of God.

Very nice! See you all later. Take care.

In love, light and joy,
I Am of the Stars

  • SUMMARY OF THE VIDEO

Dear Ones,

I did a video on dreams and life, houses and trees, nature and nurture. I had concerns about putting a video up, with people’s homes in it. But then I realized it is likely ok to show the front yards and fronts of homes of people from the street in this movie because similar views of front yards and fronts of homes are offered on Redfin and on Google Maps. In addition, the addresses are not provided, so that should be all ok.

Beneath the video is a Summary …

SUMMARY OF THE VIDEO

Hello, Dear Ones! Check out the shades! … [points to sunglasses] … It’s Alice.

I’m over here in Santa Monica, on a street north of Wilshire, a residential street. And I was reminded … For 20 years I lived in Santa Monica, and I lived in a tiny, rent-controlled apartment. And I worked at UCLA as a secretary.

And I used to walk on this street. And I used to think: Wow! If I just had a place like this … or if I lived on this street … I would be really happy! Maybe one day I’ll be able to live there.

So when I retired, I could not afford to live on a street like this, which I am going to show you in a minute. But I moved to a house in the less expensive ‘burbs. And it was bigger, and it was closer to nature. And at first I was really happy, because I had achieved my dream. You know? … To move into a house in a kind of rural setting.

And then, a year or so went by, and I started to notice that everything was kind of really the same … except that I had more yard work to do. [laughs] So I thought I would show you this street a little bit. So, let’s see what I can do … Ok, here we go … All right, so I am just going to show you a couple of places here. [shows a well-manicured yard] This is one house here. It has a winding, brick walkway, and secret little places inside.

And we are going along the walk, here … facing the ocean. The ocean is just over the cliffs, at the end of the street. And you see the street is lined with beautiful, old magnolia trees. They grow pretty well here. They grow bigger down South, in the United States. Kind of beautiful … beautiful, white blossoms. Hardly any traffic on this street. Beautiful, green grass …

And the next house we are coming to … The houses are all very different here. The next house we’re coming to, is easier on the water. [shows xeriscape garden] You know, water in California is very expensive. If you look at the landscaping … and a completely different kind of house here … kind of a Spanish culture house [shows house] … and the grounds are a mixture of water and sand, with water-tolerant or low-water plants in it. Completely different. I learned a lot about plants on this one.

And then this next house [shows house] is a modern house … And that is an example of hardscape and concrete, and it hardly requires any water. And when you look closely, there are just a few drought-tolerant plants in the yard. Very modern.

So, three different kinds of houses. And there are a lot of other kinds of houses on this street. [pans around street, and to a magnolia tree] So I just thought I would mention, you know, I don’t know how much money is tied up on this street. But, quite a bit, probably.

But when push comes to shove … I mean, the houses are beautiful, but to my way of thinking, it is really the trees that are the most beautiful thing. And trees are free to walk under, everywhere.

That is all I have to say today. Blessings!

In love, light and joy,
I Am of the Stars
