Hello, Dear Ones, It’s Alice. I Am of the Stars.

We are still chatting … into the small hours of the night … with some Saturnians.

Saturnian Versus Human Energy Field Color Patterns

Some people were discussing the Saturnians’ energy field with them. The thing of it is, their energy field is from about green to about purple, and then it proceeds into the ultraviolet range, which for us is beyond the physical frame (and within it). But as far as the yellow, the orange, and the red are concerned, they do not have that in the energy field of their beingness.

So when they associate with a human … say, a human that loves wisdom … say a yogi that is a jnana [knowledge] yoga practitioner, you will find an energy overlay that emphasizes chakras seventh and sixth. And the shade of green for the heart chakra changes from the normal color to a different color.

Then below that you will find a ‘washing out’ of the colors of the human form. We talked to them, earlier today, about that, and they understood. They said that for them it feels better, and they thought that we would be better if their energy field, which looks so beautiful to them, were to be more transferred onto our energy field. They thought that we would be ‘fixed’, or ‘better’, or made more whole through that.

We explained that the human energy field … in order to function appropriately … needs to have more energy, and a different kind of green, in the heart; and that the bottom part of the energy field needs to be filled in too.

The Saturnians understood that; and I think we will see a change in that in future. So there is that.

Are Spiritual Adepts Mirroring Saturnian Color Patterns?

That energy shift about which we were talking with the Saturnians might have something to do with the pictures that I have drawn of people who are spiritual adepts who have mostly third-eye point energy. And then there is a disconnect at the heart that leads to separate functioning of the lower triangle … the ‘gut brain’. Once these repairs of the energy are washed over and made to be rebalanced by the Saturnians for people all over Earth, we may find much less of that dysfunctional energy array that used to be characteristic of so many spiritual adepts ..

The blue circle is labeled: ‘The Head – Conscious Thought Flow’. The yellow circle is labeled: ‘The Gut Brain – Unconscious Thought Flow … Chakras 1, 2 and 3 negative … Death-War-Survival, Sex-Lust, and Power Over-Male Competition. Legend: “Belts interfere with the axiatonal lines of the body. They scythe through the EMF field with a horizontal cincture, an inch-high elliptical barrier of repressed negative feelings due to the physical discomfort caused by the belt. It is the need to wear the belt so as to avoid social censure that causes the feeling of discomfort to be repressed. In the Body of Light, this looks like a compaction or darkness, a ‘density’. In the song of the body, it sounds sharp, off-key, discordant. Thus it creates physical illness.”

I am looking forward to that; I am sure you are too. It should lead to a fuller, more joyful life for all those who practice the pursuit of wisdom and knowledge as a means of Enlightenment on Earth.

Saturnian Disregard of Gender in Human Experiments

I have noted disregard by the Saturnians of gender in their design of human experiments. Possibly this is because it seems there is no gender dimorphism amongst Saturnians … It appears they are hermaphrodites that reproduce through cloning. That might mean they have both male and female qualities within one individual. Because of this, they might not be familiar with the electromagnetic variations amongst male-female, male-male, and female-female sexual bondings.

I have noticed their casual reassignment of experimental astral yoking from one category to the next over the course of an experiment. To a human experimental subject, this may feel like a sudden, inexplicable attraction to a person of an unaccustomed gender. Or they may feel that they have been forced into a mesalliance.

As well, amongst human spiritual groups that tend toward Saturnian color patterning, I have noticed energies of patriarchal domination, male homosexuality, marriage of male homosexuals to ‘housekeeping’ women, repression of the sex drives of the wives or else its redirection to a female partner, and often, no sexual reproduction. As well, I have noticed In such spiritual groups clusters of intersex individuals, cross-dressing individuals, and transgender women.

My thought is that these patterns … which I have repeatedly observed in such spiritual groups, may speak to the Saturnian experience of life.

For instance, it could be that the Saturnians, though capable of hermaphroditic reproduction, might in the main experience a quality of living that we humans would characterize as male. Perhaps near the end of their lives, as the ‘simmering’ feeling starts, they may suddenly experience an unaccustomed female quality. If it were true that their experience of femininity was fleetingly confined to end of life, then they would likely place greater value on human males than on human females, because of their own cultural outlook. It is possible, as well, that the Saturnian ‘mannish’ outlook might have, in part, spurred humankind to the experience of the Atlantean Age.

If the Saturnians conceive of themselves as each person being both genders at once, then that would explain the presence in such groups of clusters of intersex individuals, cross-dressing individuals, and transgender women.

Posited Saturnian Affinity with Color of Antisocial Personality Hearts

There has been a proposal that the heart chakra would be like the basal chakra for the Saturnians and that the color of the heart chakra of the antisocial personality … of which there are many on Earth … may more closely resemble the color of what would be the basal chakra for the Saturnians.

It could be that there was a Saturnian affinity of color for the heart chakra of the antisocial personality, because of that.

Saturnian Work with Human Social Issues: Catholicism Versus Mass Media

Here is another instance of cultural disparity or discrepancy, between the Saturnians and Earth beings: There are antisocial elements, amongst earthlings. This is an atypical pattern of the heart chakra, amongst earthlings. The color green is different from that of the heart chakra of the compassionate person

Image: Shades of Green … https://images.template.net/wp-content/uploads/2016/04/20071038/green-pantone-color-chart.jpg … COMMENT: In this image, I would pick the vibrant green color PM3 361, near the center of the display, as healthy color for the human heart chakra. I would pick PMS 385 (bottom right) as a less healthy color for the human heart chakra. That is just my thought about it. Others may know better than I.

There is a story, on the astral plane, about an antisocial person who was in favor because of his Soul learning; he was looked upon well by the Saturnians, who granted him great power in the world. Not the kind of power where people know about it, but the kind of power where the astral airs thrill with that power, and convey it to different sorts of beings on Earth.

The jinn were under his command for a while, in creating the HIV pandemic worldwide. Among humankind, leaders of governments and people placed in high positions in religions and local governments … wherever there was power, that person had influence on the astral airs … in the astral realms … because the Saturnians supported his energy wash.

His energy was mainly third eye-point. The heart chakra was sometimes very bright, and sometimes very dim. And the energies of the lower part of the body were dysfunctional for a number of reasons. But those lower parts of the body … those colors … are not important to the Saturnians. So they disregarded the fact that those shifts of colors there caused that person to engage in violent sexual activities. That meant nothing to them.

They concentrated on the great Soul learning the person had, in terms of knowledge and wisdom. Because of that … according to this astral story … this urban legend … he had great power in the world.

One of the mental filters that he had, had to do with the Catholic Church, which is a huge power across the world. My own attitude towards the Catholic Church is that it emphasizes peace and loving kindness amongst peoples; and honors women and children; and tries to uplift the poor and make sure that everyone has a roof over their heads, and work, and so forth; that everyone has better living standards … That is just my understanding of the Catholic Church.

But this person had a very different idea about the Catholic Church. He felt that it promoted wars in many countries in the world. I had never heard this; it was the exact opposite of my idea about Catholicism.

This person had great influence over the movie industry; he was very in favor of the movie industry and the mass media as ways to transform the world, and to uplift people’s knowledge and wisdom and understanding about things … especially about the foibles of human behavior, and the unreal nature of the Duality play on Earth.

These are themes that have been appearing lately in movies; so that part is a true thing, as far as my Awareness timeline is concerned: There have been quite a few movies along those lines recently.

Anyway, the urban legend went, that this person promoted mass media for that reason. And my understanding of the mass media these days is pretty much the exact opposite: Sometime, I feel, it is used for great good, and for peace and love and understanding in the world. But to my mind, most mass media have a very destructive effect on the human psyche: Increasing violence and drug use and many bad things, all across the world.

Like the Catholic Church, the mass media are reaching out to many countries across the world. So the question is: Which is true? Which is better? The Saturnians picked that person; and I picked the opposite.

Unless the Saturnians agree with us, and work together with us for our vision of life on Earth, it is much more difficult, and it takes much longer. So I have pointed out, on the psychic plane, my own point of view in that regard. I hope that it will now be taken into consideration.

Here in the world of Duality … as mass media have been emphasizing recently … for example, in the movie “Good Omens” …

Link: “Good Omens,” 2019, starring David Tennant and Michael Sheen … https://www.imdb.com/title/tt1869454/ ..

Here in the world of Duality … as the mass media have been emphasizing recently, there is always a play of Light and Dark. We are never without the play of Light and Dark. So one may expect of all the great institutions of Earth … whether government; or religion … whatever the religion; in the economic sphere … in the stock markets and the banks; in the corporations; and in countries … the governments of all the countries of Earth; and also in the great power held by the mass media, there will be both Dark and Light. It is the nature of the Dual realm.

So we are working with all of it, to uplift all of it, I feel. There is no use taking sides and pointing fingers in that manner. That is not conducive of world peace, I feel. It is the product of a mental filter and a mental outlook. it is the thought of one individual, rather than the thought of all the people … all the humankind on Earth.

It is my hope that in future the Saturnians will stand back, in a more ‘hands off’ manner, so that the course of free will may flow freely all over Earth, and the noospheres of Earth. We will see how that does! Maybe it will improve our chances for Soul evolution.

Saturnian Experiments: Wisdom Versus Compassion

The Saturnians like to perform experiments. The reason they perform experiments is that they are interested in the pursuit of knowledge and the accumulation of knowledge. And the experiments they perform, as scientists, on other groups of beings, are not always the types of experiments that we sanction through the Nuremberg Code, the international code.

Here are the ten points of the Nuremberg Code …

  1. “The voluntary consent of the human subject is absolutely essential.
  2. “The experiment should be such as to yield fruitful results for the good of society, unprocurable by other methods or means of study, and not random and unnecessary in nature.
  3. “The experiment should be so designed and based on the results of animal experimentation and a knowledge of the natural history of the disease or other problem under study that the anticipated results will justify the performance of the experiment.
  4. “The experiment should be so conducted as to avoid all unnecessary physical and mental suffering and injury.
  5. “No experiment should be conducted where there is an a priori reason to believe that death or disabling injury will occur; except, perhaps, in those experiments where the experimental physicians also serve as subjects.
  6. “The degree of risk to be taken should never exceed that determined by the humanitarian importance of the problem to be solved by the experiment.
  7. “Proper preparations should be made and adequate facilities provided to protect the experimental subject against even remote possibilities of injury, disability, or death.
  8. “The experiment should be conducted only by scientifically qualified persons. The highest degree of skill and care should be required through all stages of the experiment of those who conduct or engage in the experiment.
  9. “During the course of the experiment the human subject should be at liberty to bring the experiment to an end if he has reached the physical or mental state where continuation of the experiment seems to him to be impossible.
  10. “During the course of the experiment the scientist in charge must be prepared to terminate the experiment at any stage, if he has probable cause to believe, in the exercise of the good faith, superior skill and careful judgment required of him that a continuation of the experiment is likely to result in injury, disability, or death to the experimental subject.”

–from Link: “Nuremberg Code,” in Wikipedia, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nuremberg_Code … Text is available under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike License.

First, unless a human being objects, the Saturnians perform the experiment, instead of asking first. They will just assume that it is ok, because of the way that their culture is, with the emphasis on accumulation of knowledge.

The value of compassion that we have as a human culture is not something that they are strong on or keen on. So the experiments that they do on other sets of beings to further knowledge are not marked by compassion.

And so, here on Earth, some experiments have taken place with the help of what we call antisocial personalities, whose heart chakras, I am positing, may have a green shade of energy that is pleasing to the beings of Saturn, the Saturnians.

So you will see, through their influence, experiments on small groups of human children that may result in the children being euthanized afterwards; the purpose typically being to improve the human race through the direction of a master group of beings that are more wise.

This is a plan that would have worked well for the Saturnians on their planet. This planet Earth is a free will planet, and the colors of the energy fields of humankind and other sentient mammals on this planet make it not as likely a successful manner of proceeding as on Saturn, I feel. That is my feeling about it.

That is because the nature of Earth is that of a water world. If you listen to the NASA recordings about the sound of Earth, you will get the difference in tenor and tone of the cultures … not cultures but ‘spirits’ of the two planets … very different!

Interspecies Communication Through Hearing the NASA Sounds of the Planets

I intuitively feel that if we listen to the recording by NASA of the sounds of Saturn … and if we do so in a meditative state … we will begin to get a deeper understanding of the Saturnian values and culture, and of the people themselves. In fact, listening to the NASA recordings of the sounds of the planets of our Solar System might be a good way for our people to get in touch with the peoples of all the planets of our Solar System …

Saturnian Experiments on Lightworkers During the 2012 Shift

Lightworkers may recall that, at the time of the great Shift on Earth in the year 2012, there were groups of beings that had formed scientific experimental groups, and wanted to experiment on the Lightworkers. They assumed that it was all right to do these experiments. There were those amongst the Elohim … or perhaps the Council of Nine … that had allowed that.

When I, as a Lightworker, objected to members of the Ascension team that was assigned to me doing these experiments, they ceased to do them. My guess is that the groups in question were scientists amongst the Saturnians; and their desire to do those experiments was motivated by their appreciation of wisdom and knowledge.

Saturnian Experiment: Astral Yoking of Spiritual Adept to Person with Compassionate Heart

Speaking a little more about Saturnian experiments with humankind in order to increase humans’ level of knowledge and wisdom, and in accordance with the Saturnians’ cultural understanding that those are very important attributes, another method that the Saturnians devised to do this, was the yoking of a spiritual adept with well-developed psychic abilities, but unnoticed (to the Saturnians) injuries in the lower triangle, to a person whose heart chakra expressed compassion … the notion being that then the ‘wash-through’, the psychic cording of the Spiritual Adept to the Lightworker or Saint that expressed compassion, would change the color coding of the energy field of the compassionate person, so that it resembled more the color pattern of the energy field of the Saturnians.

This is, in fact, something that happened to me in the early 2000s, and continued on until about 2016. And then, off and on since then, it has cropped up, but not consistently so. Thus I can attest to the result for me, as a compassionate person and Lightworker, was the diminution and dimming of my heart chakra, especially after the year 2016, and the contamination of my lower triangle with the malware of the Spiritual Adept to whom I was yoked or corded.

The cording happens through a member of the negative astral entity group that is assigned to the Spiritual Adept and the compassionate person by the Saturnians.

There have been talks; and since those talks yesterday an understanding was reached. One of the ramifications of the understanding between the Saturnians and the compassionate-heart human beings representing Christed and Buddhic consciousness … as of last night, and continuing on into today, and, we hope, on into the distant future … the Saturnians have de-yoked the spiritual adept – compassionate heart pairs of people that had been linked together or chained together through, say, a demon or devil (as they usually term it) in a profane astral romantic relationship … what we Lightworkers call ‘astral rape’.

All that seems to have stopped as of last night and today. I will keep my fingers crossed for all of us, that we may go on our way with free will and with commitment to the good of the All, here on this water world we call Earth, our home.

New Saturnian Experiment to Promote Human Compassion: Predicted Outcomes

I think now that the Saturnians have accepted that the shade of green that characterizes the heart chakra of antisocial personalities is less useful of a color green for humankind, than the typical color green that includes the emotion of compassion, we may find that less power is in the hands of antisocial personalities worldwide.

This would be a good thing, because the power of the Controllers would be dimmed, here on Earth, and free will would be more accentuated. And it would be much less likely that there would be murders and deaths through violence, and wars, and so forth. I think the raising of children would be more compassionate as well. So these are all very positive outcomes for us human beings, deriving from the tentative decision of the Saturnians to promote, in humankind, the color green that includes the emotion of compassion.

Saturnian Influence on Scientific Experiments and Medical Operations

We may also see less scientific experiments that exclude compassion, and less permissiveness of life-shortening Western medical operations that derive their guiding light from the Saturnian prior understanding that that color green is more appropriate than the color green that includes compassion … because that cultural tendency of the Saturnians leads them to allow Western medical operations that are not really warranted … that are, say, based on a false diagnosis of cancer; or based on a desire to shorten a patient’s colon for the sake of receiving money from the government for Obamacare.

The iatrogenic fatalities … doctor-caused fatalities … the very high rate right now, I feel will be greatly reduced, because the Saturnians will no longer, through cultural bias, be siding with the mental decisions of con artists and gangland bosses and people who have no compassion and are in power.

In other words, an experiment will be made by the Saturnians, whose influence is felt in waves of years of sets of eleven … through the relative lightness of the atmosphere of Earth during Solar Minimums, which occur roughly every eleven years.

In future, at those times we will see improvements in the figures for doctor-related mortalities for patients, because there is no longer a push or a drive or a shove or a thought or a hint that gives the doctors those ideas; or that misplaces data regarding patients, so that the tests show positive, when in fact they are negative; or they are the tests for the wrong people, and so forth.

If you see what I mean? … There is a wide-ranging, beneficial effect that is about to flood through Earth because of this tentative, changed understanding of the Saturnians as to how they may help our race evolve.

Stories by Alice: The Case of the Two Psychologists

I could provide a case in point; I will try to do so in such a manner that no one is put on the spot. In recent years there was a case of two psychologists. One had a tendency towards crime gang endeavors … towards confidence games and so forth … and apparently, in fact, did not have a psychologist’s degree. That person was assuming that degree under false pretenses. And that person had the color green in their heart that is preferred by the Saturnians, and had also a great deal of Soul learning of a type that is accumulated by the Saturnians, and that resonates as true with that planet (and also here on Earth, but to a much lesser degree).

Then there was another psychologist who had developed a compassionate heart, and so was on a path toward Enlightenment, according to what humankind considers a strong value … like Buddhic or Christlike consciousness.

The first psychologist wanted something bad to happen to the second psychologist, so that the first psychologist could have, as a patient, a person marked as a ‘pigeon’ by a crime gang; and because this person … this ‘pigeon’ … was frequenting both psychologists.

What happened was that. through the influence of the Saturnians, five wrong diagnoses of cancer were made with regard to the second psychologist … this is how the story goes … so that more and more of that second psychologist’s internal organs were removed, until that psychologist was on the point of death, and was no longer able to practice.

At that point, mind control was used to remove that psychologist from the geographic region of the ‘pigeon’ so that … in a roundabout way … the wishes of the first psychologist who … though in a way antisocial or criminal in tendency, according to human cultural values, was closer in line to the Saturnian ideal for cultural values. Do you see what I am aiming at? Whether or not this story is true, it still represents the issues that come up, in interspecies relations, even within this Solar System.

Talking it through, and speaking in a manner that reflects respect for the cultural values of the other species is paramount to successful outcomes for humankind, and for the other species, I feel.

On Negotiating with the Saturnians: Threat of Violence as a Bargaining Chip for Social Betterment?

There is another case of a thought process that represents a conflict between the Saturnian and the human cultures. This has to do with left-brain thinking, I feel, in this case; or strong third-eye point thinking. The concept of quicker progress for humankind; higher living standards for everybody; more sharing of the wealth; perhaps better education, better jobs, and so forth; the idea of utopia on Earth.

Urban Legend About a Portable Atomic Bomb Threat for the Betterment of Humankind. The thought that I heard on the astral plane some years ago … probably merely a thought process, but nevertheless very instructive, was that there was a type of portable … transportable by one person … atomic bomb that weighed only about a hundred pounds, that had been manufactured to the south of us, in another country, and that cost $50,000. According to the story, five of these had been made. They could only be detonated by a person manually. So that person who had $50,000 to put into the project, and wanted to use portable atomic bomb as a negotiating chip in negotiating for better living standards for all humankind … or for humankind in that area … would need to be willing to sacrifice their own life if, in fact, the bargaining failed.

The person that was thinking over this concept, felt about the scenario as if it were a game … like a chess game, or a football game, or a soccer game. They felt about it, that the military authorities in the place where this putative device was, would be willing to negotiate for the greatest possible good outcome that this person so greatly desired.

I, however, through heart’s compassion, cannot but feel the great ill that might be done humankind if things went wrong in such a scenario. For instance, there might be many people who experienced sudden, catastrophic death, and carried that Awareness on to the astral plane after passing on.

There might be a long war effort after that, through which many women and children … as well as soldiers in battle … would suffer because of the depredations caused by war. So my heart went out to the people on this putative timeline where negotiations failed.

But in order to influence a situation like that, we need to think in terms of the Saturnian values. We need to think things through in a very unemotional way … a logical way … because their desire is to evolve humankind.

So my thought was to explain to the person … who was like an intermediary, a dreamer dreaming the Saturnian dream and hoping to speed things along, here on Earth … to introduce the notion that the military in a country might as easily decide to engage in a pinpoint strike on the person who is offering their life as a sacrifice, by being the person that would push the button on the portable bomb.

Then that area of the country would be inundated with nuclear fallout; so the whole region would suffer. Now for the person in question … who is dreaming the dream … that might be his very own geographic location. In his subconscious mind he might be thinking: We need more land for myself and the people in my group. We need more land, and this would be a way to obtain it.

If he were to be thinking that in his subconscious mind, then knowing that there would be fallout all over that area would be a way for him to cease thinking that.

And knowing that method would fail … in a very logical, discompassionate way, would be a way to help convince the Saturnians not to undertake that scenario.

From a multitemporal point of view, that particular timeline … that catastrophic, apocalyptic timeline … might be merged with the more compassionate timelines that are happening on Earth now that she has arisen.

So, winning all ‘round in that way, by mirroring the cultural values of other sentient species in our Solar System.

Astral Story: The Case of the Saints Consigned to Hell

I have another instance of Saturnian intervention in human affairs prior to the understanding about the optimal shades of green of the heart chakra of the human being. There was an instance where there was a group leader … long years ago, according to the urban astral legends … There was a group leader, long years ago, who sought knowledge and wisdom, much in the way that the Saturnians do.

And so there was a resonance of the higher energy fields of the human, with the lower energy fields of the Saturnians. Interestingly enough, this leader and a group of people that surrounded him, long years ago, all had dysfunctional, disease-prone lower triangles. They had imperfections in the body of Light of the colors of yellow and orange and red (beneath the heart). However, these were not noticed by the Saturnians; as I have mentioned priorly, these were not considered valuable or important by the Saturnians, whose energy fields do not extend into that type of color range.

So the Saturnians did not know that the work in the world of the wisdom-prone leader and group would be influenced by those colors in a way that is not optimal for humankind. And so the Saturnians aligned with them. Their intention in doing that … as they felt that they expressed the highest good for humankind … was to allow them to have power over other humans that they felt would not have that beneficial effect on humankind.

One of the forms of knowledge that they imparted to that group of people was this: They noticed that the leader and his followers … after passing on from physical form, and into astral form … would find themselves in great suffering, great agony, in the hellworlds.

To alleviate this unfortunate consequence … which had to do with the imperfections in the lower chakras burning off … they suggested that the living members of the group should curse people with compassionate hearts, so that they had demonic incursions into their energy fields … the idea being that a reasonable, wise accord might be effected with the members of the demon realm that were torturing the deceased members of the group … by offering the members of the demon realm the compassionate hearts of saints and mystics and Lightworkers and Pathfinders and Wayshowers and people of that sort.

So this was knowledge imparted through the Saturnians to the human beings whose energy field was not perfectly optimal in the range of the lower triangle. The knowledge of the Saturnians is far greater, and their wisdom far more advanced, than that of people of Earth. Thus for a long time there was that Soul ascendancy of Soul-wounded, imbalanced energy fields due to the teachings of the Saturnians.

Now, I believe, the understanding has been reached that the change in the wash of the colors of the lower energy field can be effected (greatly through Saturnian intervention) and that will then flow down into the lower triangle, and heal the people that have this trouble of wanting world domination and power over others, and to curse and taint and obsess with demonic presence the lives of saints and Lightworkers and compassionate hearts worldwide.

So this is very good news. A long story!

A Saturnian Concern: That ‘Rat-a-Tat’ Thing

Here is another story about the Saturnians. I heard them say something, from far off, in a plaintive way just now … They used the phrase V—- D— … It means something like ‘vicious human being’: V—- D— will do that ‘rat-a-tat’ thing for no reason at all, all the time.

They are talking about the antisocial personality, but they do not have the sensitivity to go deep into the densities … the colors … here on Earth. So they do not know that the trouble has to do with the chakras of the lower triangle. They do not observe the colors or the sounds of the colors yellow, orange and red. And that is where the ‘rat-a-tat’ happens from; that is where the killing occurs from.

So I explained that, when the color green of the heart chakra is optimal, then ‘rat-a-tat’ does not occur. And I think that will be sufficient for them, because their stores of wisdom are very great, and their understanding of things is so great, that just a brief explanation of that sort will completely change our interspecies relations.

And so we will have less prevalence of antisocial personality if they are able to make changes in the shade of green for our heart chakra; that will improve the functionality of the astral bridge that connects the lower mind (the Lower Mental Body) with the higher mind (the Higher Mental Body).

And so we will have the whole human being being, functioning in such a way that he or she is capable of having loving family relationships and nurturing the young. I also feel that, for the breadwinner in the family, the optimum shade of green will allow sustained economic endeavor that keeps a roof over the family’s head, and keeps food on the table, and does not result in discord in family life.

This will be great!

Conclusion

Well, blessings all. It has been a long night. I hope this will suffice for the near future.

Drinking Water for the California Homeless: Private Water Sellers?

Published on 21 May 2019

Dear Ones,

Partly because the water crisis in California is causing there to be less of the landscaping water the California homeless have been using as drinking water, there is in California today an urgent issue of providing potable drinking water for the homeless, and for the indigent. This is like the issue of drinking water faced in India …

Link: “Why Informal Water Sellers Are Key to India’s Future,” by Kavitha Rajagopalan, 28 December 2015 … https://www.citylab.com/life/2015/12/why-informal-water-sellers-are-key-to-indias-future/421950/ ..

Maybe here in the United States, as in India, private water sellers could step in, and provide inexpensive drinking water for those in desperate need of it? Perhaps this would be a new job category for those who need work: that of private water seller. Employment in that category might ease the burden of unemployment here in California.

Dear Ones,

Here in the United States, we are faced with lack of funds to deal with big problems of homelessness, unemployment, underemployment, and poverty-line living. For some years now, these difficult problems have been before us, and felicitous solutions, to date, do not avail.

Why is it that we have not found viable, long-term solutions to these problems? I feel it is because we have not felt desperate enough, or perhaps innovative enough, to look outside the envelope, and see what other nations that have been facing similar problems have come up with in terms of solutions.

I took a look at the United States Central Intelligence Agency’s “World Factbook,” hoping to come up with some off-the-wall offerings, and came up with the example of the dire poverty faced by North Korea, and its institution of Forced Labor for public projects. Here is part of what I found out …

HOW NORTH KOREA DEALS WITH INCURABLE POVERTY AND STARVATION

As I see it, in North Korea, the problem is intractable, long-term, incurable poverty. I have for you this quotation from the “CIA World Factbook,” with regard to the grim facts of the North Korean economy …

“North Korea, one of the world’s most centrally directed and least open economies, faces chronic economic problems. Industrial capital stock is nearly beyond repair as a result of years of underinvestment, shortages of spare parts, and poor maintenance. Large-scale military spending and development of its ballistic missile and nuclear program severely draws off resources needed for investment and civilian consumption. Industrial and power outputs have stagnated for years at a fraction of pre-1990 levels. Frequent weather-related crop failures aggravated chronic food shortages caused by on-going systemic problems, including a lack of arable land, collective farming practices, poor soil quality, insufficient fertilization, and persistent shortages of tractors and fuel.

“The mid 1990s through mid 2000s were marked by severe famine and widespread starvation. Significant food aid was provided by the international community through 2009. Since that time, food assistance has declined significantly. In the last few years, domestic corn and rice production has improved, although domestic production does not fully satisfy demand. A large portion of the population continues to suffer from prolonged malnutrition and poor living conditions. Since 2002, the government has allowed semi-private markets to begin selling a wider range of goods, allowing North Koreans to partially make up for diminished public distribution system rations. It also implemented changes in the management process of communal farms in an effort to boost agricultural output …” –from Link: “CIA World Factbook,  North Korea” … https://www.cia.gov/library/publications/resources/the-world-factbook/geos/kn.html … public domain.

FORCED LABOR IN NORTH KOREA AS A BARTER SUBSTITUTE FOR THE COINED TAX SYSTEM

Rather than asking people, who have nothing, for taxes, instead North Korea is conscripting people into forced labor situations for nothing … for free … to help with government projects …

… North Korea is a source country for men, women, and children who are subjected to forced labor and sex trafficking; many North Korean workers recruited to work abroad under bilateral contracts with foreign governments, most often Russia and China, are subjected to forced labor and do not have a choice in the work the government assigns them, are not free to change jobs, and face government reprisals if they try to escape or complain to outsiders; tens of thousands of North Koreans, including children, held in prison camps are subjected to forced labor, including logging, mining, and farming; many North Korean women and girls, lured by promises of food, jobs, and freedom, have migrated to China illegally to escape poor social and economic conditions only to be forced into prostitution, domestic service, or agricultural work through forced marriages.” –from Link: “CIA World Factbook, North Korea,” in the section: Transnational Issues … Subheading: Trafficking in persons … https://www.cia.gov/library/publications/resources/the-world-factbook/geos/kn.html … public domain.

To some degree, the ‘forcing of labor’ in North Korea, I feel in some instances may be a substitute for the coined tax system … It is more like a ‘barter’ tax, you know? We might look at this practice and offhandedly think of it as a completely evil thing, whereas, in fact, it may be a necessary thing there, so as to keep the economy alive, in a situation where everyone faces starvation whenever (as is often the case) weather conditions are not good.

Image: “A farmer inspects his ruined crops in famine-plagued South Hwanghae province, where a man is said to have been executed recently after being reported for eating his two children,” Damir SagolJ, Reuters …  http://assets.nydailynews.com/polopoly_fs/1.1250764.1359505983!/img/httpImage/image.jpg_gen/derivatives/article_1200/article-north-korea-hunger.jpg ..

HOW THE UNITED STATES EMPLOYS FORCED LABOR IN OTHER GUISE

I feel that we have various forms of forced labor here in the United States … forced labor that may be less injurious to human rights, but nevertheless forced labor. It is just that we cushion it with other terms … more aesthetic terms … according to our ideas of how things ought to be. Here are two kinds of ‘forced labor’ that we look favorably upon in the United States …

Community Service in Lieu of Prison Time

For instance, North Korea has forced labor part of the year … during which the people in the towns have to work for the government for free or for almost nothing … That has analogies to community service at, say, $40 a day, in lieu of prison time for Coloradans.

Link: “Alternatives in Imposition of Sentence in Colorado CRS 18-1.3-104,” by Colorado Legal Defense Group … https://www.shouselaw.com/colorado/CO_alternative_sentences.html ..

Prison ‘Work Release’ Programs

Then, I noticed in Mendocino County, California, there are various prison ‘work release’ programs … home detention, work release, and work furlough …

Link: “Mendocino County Sheriff’s Office” … https://www.mendocinosheriff.com/ … Click on: Corrections

ADVANTAGES OF OFFERING FELONS RURAL AND WILDERNESS WORK CAMP OPPORTUNITIES

Work Camps as Work Ethic Education

I recall that, in Russia and China, they think of forced labor as a way of educating people with regard to the work ethic … inculcating a notion of being productive members of society. And we might consider it like that too.

If we cannot house the felons in urban prisons, we could expand our programs to house them in work camps in rural or wilderness areas. These work camps might be viewed as offering education in the work ethic, and in that way, helping felons to qualify for good jobs after their release.

On Offering Habitual Offenders ‘Rough and Tumble’ Jobs Far From Urban Centers

In addition to providing work ethic education, work camp job experience would likely provide improved physical conditioning. This might help released felons find ‘rough and tumble’ jobs far from urban centers, occupations such as lumberjacking, or tramp steamer crew, for instance. Maybe, work in the mines, or in the deserts, or on oil rigs. There might be a segment of felons to whom rough and tumble jobs appeal; and this appeal might decrease recidivism.

There may be felons with many offenses, and whom we are unable to keep in prison. Yet if they are released, they might look for criminal work, and not wish to integrate into the general community. In some cases, they might fall into the category ‘antisocial personalities’. In such instances, it might be good if they found work away from the general population.

If California is unable to house multiple offenders, we might also consider offering those serving time the option to become a free person, or a semi-free person, in an occupation that is far from the general public … where the released prisoners cannot hurt the general public.

CONCLUSION

My thought as to whether forced labor might successfully be employed in the United States is this: Considering the American way of life, forced labor could never succeed here if it ruthlessly trammels human rights. I do feel, on the other hand, that the choice of modified versions of forced labor … as amongst the prison populations, or for released felons, or for the indigent … might be offered as an alternative, a free will choice, that might prove appealing, were its benefits to be properly laid out, and then offered by way of explanation to those undertaking it.

  • CONCLUSION

Dear Ones,

INTRODUCTION

I feel that the United States is experiencing a down-spiraling into what appear to be the sort of problems that underdeveloped nations have been facing all along. We are doing this in headlong fashion, while still understandably looking to the high standards of our dream that America is a land of opportunity for all.

Thus we are missing the mile markers and warning signs that action must be taken right away so as to solve the problems at hand. But what action is it that begs to be taken?

My hope is that there may be a middle path … a path neither ultra-right nor ultra-left … a path based upon viable solutions that have already proven to be of merit in other countries with problems similar to our own.

Here in Los Angeles we are looking for solutions to the issue of the waves of homeless people, some of whom have financial resources, and some of whom have not.

Then there are those who have sufficient money for food and clothing, but not enough to allow them to be housed; those people just need low-cost housing. And I believe that is in the works, in Los Angeles. But it may be some while before sufficient low-cost housing is available.

THE ADVANTAGE OF A STAGED APPROACH TO THE HOMELESS PROBLEM

I believe that taking a staged approach to solutions for the homeless problem has merit. It would empower us, neighborhood by neighborhood, to break the stalemate of not having enough money to implement a solution. It would give us a direction and a purpose. It would be cost effective. And the results would be immediate, for the homeless would no longer be camping out illegally on public and private property in our neighborhoods.

Stage One: Provide Small Tenting Areas, with Security

I feel we must begin with a Stage One plan now, that being to get the homeless off the streets, even if that means setting aside tenting areas for them, and providing tents, with some form of security to prevent violence amongst the homeless, or by others against them, such as fences, camp overseers. and law enforcement patrols. The homeless, I feel, surely ought to have safe turf to call their own, during a well-defined Stage One of the homing process.

Segregating Homeless at Stage One by Need. Stage One, I feel, it might be best to divide the homeless population up into segments, so that the needs of each segment may be more easily met; for instance, women who are alone, couples, families with children, the handicapped, those suffering from addictions, and single men who are able bodied and want to find work.

There are already plans underway in this regard. For instance, in the community of West Hills, the Neighborhood Council has established a Homelessness Committee that is working towards solutions to the issue of homelessness, and which offers information on available resources …

Link: “Homeless Committee, West Hills Neighborhood Council” … https://www.westhillsnc.org/homeless-committee.php ..

Stage Two Work Camps for the Homeless: A Lockable Shed, and Work at Less Than Minimum Wage in Exchange for Social Services

I suggest, as Stage Two, work camps with a bare minimum of lockable, ventilated shelter, as with a Home Depot shed.

Employment services might be offered, with a foreman, for day labor. The work camps might provide a very low wage similar to that offered in California prisons. The work might help fund their health care, housing, food, and water. And those employed there could use their salary that they get for incidentals.

Stage Three: Group Housing, and Employment in the Community

For those who do well in day labor, the work camp staff could be on the constant lookout for better paid employment for them. If steady work is found, then perhaps group housing could be made available, perhaps in groups of roommates or dormitory groups, to keep the cost of housing low until sufficient low-income housing has been built.

CONCLUSION

That is just one way of staging recovery from homelessness; I am sure many more suggestions are being put forth. The important thing, by my lights, is the notion that we can act now. Right now, we can do something,

Should we Angelenos get together in our neighborhood councils and decide to provide small, secure lots for the homeless to pitch their tents in, we could get them off the streets and out of harm’s way in no time.

This, I feel, would be a win-win situation, as homeowners and shopkeepers will no doubt be relieved of the unsettled feeling they may have been experiencing regarding illegal encampments on public and private property here in Los Angeles.

I Am of the Stars

Call to Action: Fabricas to Employ California Homeless . by Alice B. Clagett

Written on 25 August 2018; published on 27 September 2018

  • ARE SAN FERNANDO VALLEY THRIFT STORE THROW-AWAYS BEING SENT TO MEXICO?
  • CALL TO ACTION: RETAIN CAST-OFF THRIFT STORE ITEMS IN LOS ANGELES, AND SET UP FABRICAS TO EMPLOY HOMELESS HERE, REPAIRING OR REPURPOSING THESE GOODS
  • REQUEST THAT CALIFORNIA LEGISLATURE SEND DELEGATIONS TO AFRICA AND SOUTH AMERICA TO FIND OUT HOW THROW-AWAY ITEMS CAN CREATE AN INCOME STREAM FOR OUR HOMELESS
  • OFFER TAX INDUCEMENT FOR CALIFORNIA ENTREPRENEURS WITH FABRICAS IN MEXICO, TO EMPLOY NON-US-CITIZEN CALIFORNIA HOMELESS IN THEIR MEXICAN FABRICAS?

Hello, Dear Ones,

This is a call to action regarding fabricas to employ the San Fernando Valley homeless.

ARE SAN FERNANDO VALLEY THRIFT STORE THROW-AWAYS BEING SENT TO MEXICO?

I was just over at one of the big thrift store chains in the San Fernando Valley, and I noticed, in the donation area, this gigantic dumpster full of items that did not pass muster. And I had heard, years ago, that those items go to Mexico to be used in the fabricas (factories) over there.

I was just thinking that the situation has changed very dramatically, here in the San Fernando Valley, and that there are many homeless people here, who could be fruitfully employed in fabricas here, using those same cast-off materials, if there were a general manager here who had experience supervising people, and an understanding of how to resell those goods that were either repaired or transformed into other types of goods.

For instance, there are the clothes that are not quite good enough, that could be refashioned as many different kinds of items. And there are lots of appliances large and small, as well as furniture, that could be repaired if a person had the skill, and were working for a low enough wage (the minimum wage).

I know that, in Africa, colored paper … like glossy, colored paper from magazines … is sometimes refashioned as jewelry, and sold here in the United States as disposable jewelry. And I think that would be something else that the homeless here in Los Angeles could easily pick up.

CALL TO ACTION: RETAIN CAST-OFF THRIFT STORE ITEMS IN LOS ANGELES, AND SET UP FABRICAS TO EMPLOY HOMELESS HERE, REPAIRING OR REPURPOSING THESE GOODS

So here is my suggestion and my Call to Action: I think that, if there are items that, if there are items that are being shipped to Mexico for a nominal fee, for use in fabricas there, that we in Los Angeles ought to consider retaining them here in Los Angeles, to use in fabricas to employ the homeless.

I ask that this be looked at with all the major chains of thrift stores, here in the Los Angeles area. I think that many, many people could be employed in that way.

REQUEST THAT CALIFORNIA LEGISLATURE SEND DELEGATIONS TO AFRICA AND SOUTH AMERICA TO FIND OUT HOW THROW-AWAY ITEMS CAN CREATE AN INCOME STREAM FOR OUR HOMELESS

I would like to request that the California Legislature send a small group of people to Africa and to South America to find out how items that we throw away … junk that we throw away … is used in those countries to create an income stream, and see whether any of those ideas might be of help in employing the homeless in Los Angeles, and in other parts of California.

OFFER TAX INDUCEMENT FOR CALIFORNIA ENTREPRENEURS WITH FABRICAS IN MEXICO, TO EMPLOY NON-US-CITIZEN CALIFORNIA HOMELESS IN THEIR MEXICAN FABRICAS?

Another thought would be: Since we are having so much trouble finding a good place to locate homeless people for a place to live, and a place to work, to arrange to take those goods to Mexico, and start a fabrica there, for the people who are homeless here in the United States, and whose nationality is Mexican. That would be a way of finding them work in their own country, and relieving ourselves of the burden of non-US-citizen homeless here.

A stop-gap measure that we might offer immediately is for American employers who have relocated their businesses to Mexico: We could offer them a tax inducement for employing California homeless people who are Mexican nationals in their own country.

I can see the potential for abuse in this, in that people might actually come to the United States, in order to get into those programs; so we would have to figure out how to skirt round that threat of abuse. (For instance, this might be a time-delimited tax inducement for Californian entrepreneurs with fabricas in Mexico. ) The good point is that this would be something that could be done immediately, so as to help mitigate the burden of homelessness here in California.

Dear Ones,

ARE CALIFORNIA HOUSING COSTS UNREALISTICALLY HIGH?

Apparently, California housing costs are the highest in America …

Link: “California’s High Housing Costs: Causes and Consequences,” from the Legislative Analyst’s Office, 17 March 2015 … http://www.lao.ca.gov/reports/2015/finance/housing-costs/housing-costs.aspx ..

This is odd, because people are less in need of housing in California than elsewhere in the nation, because of the mild climate here. Why are housing prices so high?

Could it be that the housing codes here unrealistic, considering the influx of homeless and migrant workers, (1) and the release of felons onto the community due to inadequate funds to keep them in prison? (2)

EFFECT OF LOS ANGELES WATER PRICES ON HOUSING AFFORDABILITY

Stopgap measures have been initiated to fund desperately needed Los Angeles programs, including skyrocketing water prices, and increases in property taxes for homeowners …

Link: “LA DWP, Other Utilities to Raise Water Rates Because of Drought,” by Mike Reicher, published 20 October 2015, updated … https://www.dailynews.com/2015/10/20/la-dwp-other-utilities-to-raise-water-rates-because-of-drought/ ..

Thus the price of owning a home … which is out of range for the many Californians … has become about twice as high in the last decade … There is the price of the mortgage, about equaled by the increased price of utilities and property taxes.

We cannot afford lawns any more. Many people are taking bucket showers rather than ‘real’ showers. In the streets, under the river overpasses and freeway bridges, on vacant lots and in the parks, the homeless cluster, disconsolate, often drunk on rotgut liquor, posting guards in turn to prevent violence upon their small groups, beyond any hope of shelter.

SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA EMPLOYMENT OUTLOOK

I would like to take a look at the longer-term effect of the stopgap measures that have been effected, so as to keep the Los Angeles city government running …

Apparently, higher housing prices will attract less jobs to California. This means that people will be less able to afford the homes they have. Those who rent will find home ownership out of reach. And those without homes will be unable to rent …

Link: “Sky-high rents and home prices are making it hard for Southern California businesses to attract workers,” by Andrew Khouri, 22 February 2018 … http://www.latimes.com/business/la-fi-housing-costs-economy-20180222-story.html ..

WATER SUPPLY MAINTENANCE IN LOS ANGELES

Let’s look at water supply to Los Angeles …

Los Angeles is a desert town. Of itself, it is without means to provide water for its population. The water we have is imported from other places, and this may contribute to its cost.

In addition, there is the infrastructure that distributes water throughout Los Angeles. This, like the roads, is aging. Rather than providing a maintenance schedule, we are providing repairs when water mains break. My thought is, our city must not have the revenue for a preventive maintenance schedule for our water distribution system …

ROAD MAINTENANCE IN LOS ANGELES

How about road maintenance in Los Angeles? Here again, revenues are insufficient for a good road maintenance schedule …

Link: “Poorly maintained roads cost Southern California drivers $2,800 a year,” by Brenda Gazzar, Daily News, published on 17 August 2017; updated, in Los Angeles Daily News …  https://www.dailynews.com/2016/08/17/poorly-maintained-roads-cost-southern-california-drivers-2800-a-year/ ..

LAW ENFORCEMENT IN LOS ANGELES AND IN THE SANTA MONICA MOUNTAINS NATIONAL RECREATION AREA

How about law enforcement? In the cities, I feel, police response is quite good. However, there is the area of the Santa Monica Mountains National Recreation Area (SMMNRA), which is currently essentially a lawless zone. According to Wikipedia, the SMMNRA comprises 156,671 acres (63,403 ha) …

Map: SMMNRA … http://rimofthevalleycoalition.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/02/Screen-Shot-2016-02-17-at-6.17.05-AM-1-800×445.jpg ..

I have checked, and there is one ranger assigned to this area. That is, effectively, the police patrol for the entire area.

Thus, lawlessness in the mountains is on the rise, especially in areas with natural water flow, and which are contiguous to populated areas. It reminds me a little of stories of the old days in Los Angeles, when cattle rustlers and horse thieves used to establish hidden outlaw strongholds in the mountains now termed the SMMNRA.

PUBLIC SCHOOLS IN LOS ANGELES

How about schools in Los Angeles? Our schools are becoming more and more a target for gun-wielding and drug dealing, making an education a risky business in Los Angeles.

SUMMARY REGARDING CITY OF LOS ANGELES PUBLIC SERVICES FUNDING

These four areas: utilities, roads, law enforcement, and education, are lacking revenues for maintenance. I feel these are the domain of government in our country … Where these are lacking, government is lacking. Here in Los Angeles, government is doing a slow tumble. It is unable to perform its basic functions.

I feel, though, that this is not the fault of government. Were revenues available here in Los Angeles, I feel certain government would be eager to do its job. But those revenues are unavailable. Why is this?

CALIFORNIA HOUSING: A TIME OF TRANSFORMATION

We here in Los Angeles are in a time of great import … a time of transformation to the New. This is not just the case here in Los Angeles. All of California, all American, and indeed, all the countries of Earth are in a time of transformation.

Transformation can feel like Apocalypse, or it can feel like a New Beginning. (3) We, the people of Los Angeles, will determine the outcome. Will we pull together and come up with innovative solutions to the housing crisis? Or will we go with the status quo … the slow tumble … the seemingly inevitable downward spiral?

I say, let us look, with a sense of adventure, a sense of the dawn of a new era for humankind, to innovative solutions. For instance …

Might Primitive Housing Techniques Be Useful?

How about in Tijuana, the country of origin of many of our current unhomed population? From what sort of environment are they fleeing, in order to seek a better life for themselves and their families?

Tijuana also has its slum housing, where people use building materials salvaged from landfills to build squatter homes on land with no utility service. Water trucks come round with bottles of water to sell for household use. Sanitation depends on a family’s ingenuity; pit toilets are the norm …

On Revising the Los Angeles County Housing Code

I feel we here in Los Angeles can do better than this for our people. But we must face facts.

The density of population in Los Angeles is too great for sustainable living. The population of Earth must be spread out more evenly, and ways must be found to live off the land, and become self-sustaining, and to house ourselves, in and of ourselves, humbly but efficiently, using local materials. For those that have the skills and strength of character to move out of the cities, and live a sustainable life: Why not consider taking this step?

On Building Additional High Density Housing in Los Angeles

For those that choose to remain here in Los Angeles, we must come to terms with the fact that the housing code in Los Angeles makes it impossible to attract jobs to the area. Where jobs are insufficient, the standard of living will decline. The Catch 22 is this: Where the standard of living has declined, jobs will not be attracted.

So then, what is the solution? There is a clue near the end of this article …

Link: “California’s High Housing Costs: Causes and Consequences,” from the Legislative Analyst’s Office … http://www.lao.ca.gov/reports/2015/finance/housing-costs/housing-costs.aspx ..

The article suggests building more high density housing in California’s beach towns. I agree that this would help solve the problem. But in order to effect this solution, we must change the housing codes.

The Los Angeles Plan for Housing the Homeless Now Underway

Los Angeles has a plan for housing the homeless …

Link: “A plan to house L.A.’s homeless residents could transform parking lots across the city,” by Doug Smith, 9 February 2018 … http://www.latimes.com/local/lanow/la-me-ln-parking-lots-housing-20180209-story.html ..

This plan is a laudable step in the right direction. Yet it is running into snags because of local fractiousness. People do not want the homeless as their neighbors.

The $2 Billion Bond to Help House California’s Homeless Held Up by Lawsuit

I see also that a $2 billion bond to help house California’s homeless, approved by California voters two years ago, is tied up in lawsuits regarding mental health care bills as yet unpaid …

Link: “2 billion to help house California’s homeless isn’t being spent — and no one knows when it will be,” by Liam Dillon, 1 March 2018 … http://www.latimes.com/politics/la-pol-ca-homeless-housing-bond-stalled-20180301-story.html ..

The HUD Plan to Provide $2 Billion Nationwide for the Homeless

On the other hand, Housing and Urban Development (HUD) has announced a plan to provide $2 billion for the homeless, so this may to some degree ameliorate the homeless situation in California …

Link: “Ben Carson Announces $2 Billion for Homeless Programs Despite Trump’s Proposed Cuts to Housing Programs,” by Grace Guarnieri, 11 January 2018 … http://www.newsweek.com/ben-carson-billion-homeless-trump-housing-778976 ..

The Plan to House the Homeless in Guest Houses in Los Angeles County

Los Angeles County is running a pilot program offering housing assistance for homeless housed in guest houses in property owners’ back yards …

Link: “L.A. County wants to help build guest houses in backyards — for homeless people,” by Gale Holland, 11 April 2018 … http://www.latimes.com/local/lanow/la-me-ln-homeless-tiny-house-20180411-story.html ..

If successful, this might help reduce the population density in the City of Los Angeles, and help relieve concomitant issues to do with the homeless population in the City.

Employment Opportunity for the Skilled Homeless: Building That Guest Home in Los Angeles County? I would like to suggest, as well, the building of ‘Tiny Homes’ to benefit from this program, if it turns out to be approved. Perhaps this would boost employment in Los Angeles Country? Perhaps the homeless who have handyman skills might help with building additional guest homes there? Could it be that the State of California might offer financial incentives for such projects?

An Additional Idea; High Density Housing in Los Angeles County, with Busing to Jobs

If local resistance proves impossible to overcome, let us consider building high density housing in rural areas, in Los Angeles County, and providing buses to the nearest employment opportunities.

Repurpose Unprofitable Motels and Hotels as Housing for Homeless? For instance, old motels or hotels, that are proving economically not feasible, might be low-entry-cost ways for the Los Angeles County to house the homeless.

Well, that is all for now.

In love, light and joy,
I Am of the Stars

Dear Ones,

This blog is mostly a ‘what if’ based on ruminations about ‘psy in the sky’ regarding the CIA and the drug trade in America. It presents various putative scenarios, along with putative negative and positive outcomes …

CONSPIRACY THEORY ALLEGATIONS OF CIA DRUG TRADING IN DECADES PAST

I was reading an article in Wikipedia about allegations of CIA drug trading in decades past …

Link: “Allegations of CIA drug trafficking,” in Wikipedia …  https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Allegations_of_CIA_drug_trafficking ..

THE DEFEAT OF THE WAR ON DRUGS?

I have heard, here and there, that the United States is ‘losing the war on drugs’, at least in terms of the current fight strategy. For instance, here is an article from Stanford University on the topic …

Link: “The United States War on Drugs – Stanford University” …  https://web.stanford.edu/class/e297c/poverty_prejudice/paradox/htele.html ..

RHETORICAL QUESTION: WHAT IF THE CIA WERE TO SEEK TO MONOPOLIZE THE DRUG TRADE IN THE UNITED STATES?

I began to pose the rhetorical question: What if the CIA, discouraged by losing ground in the war on drugs, were to begin dealing in drugs itself, as a way of wresting power from the drug cartels and the drug lords?

Overview: Potential Negative Outcomes

Here is what I feel about that …

  • The people of the United States would begin to live in fear of the CIA, just as they now live in fear of the drug cartels and the drug lords.
  • Money from drug sale profits would flow into the CIA coffers first, and from there to other parts of the government. We might anticipate a greater than proportionate share might stay with the CIA, making it a wealthy … perhaps even the wealthiest? … branch of government.
  • The CIA might accrue unto itself so much power, that it would become ‘top-heavy’, setting the balance of the democratic process off-kilter.
  • There would thus arise a chance that our government would move from a democratic process, to fascism, such as that promoted by the Italian National Fascist Party leader Benito Mussolini, who ruled Italy from 1922 to 1943; in 1925 he established a dictatorship there. In our case, it is likely that the head of the CIA would become America’s first dictator.

Putative Use of Released Felons as ‘Soldiers’ and Drug Runner for the CIA: Potential Negative Outcomes

The CIA has unique powers, even now, to coerce local law enforcement to accede to its expectations. As it attempted to gain hegemony over the drug trade in the United States, there might be inroads on America’s legal systems along these lines …

  • The headiness of the profits flowing from the people of the United States, and into the coffers of the CIA, would contradict the mandate of the CIA to educate our children and adults about the evils of drugs.
  • The CIA might employ felons released from our prisons, when their time is up, as strong-arm ‘soldiers’ and drug runners. These might be granted CIA ID cards.
    • Having cards, and having experienced previous lives of crime, they might continue with lives of crime, and evade retribution by law enforcement in our towns and cities through immunity granted them by their CIA ID cards.
    • As released felons are more likely to have HIV than the general population, and are more likely to have a history of child molestation, we could anticipate an increase in the HIV-infected population in towns where they operated.
    • Especially, we could anticipate the children being infected with HIV. As children with HIV are not able to have children, the populations of the towns where the CIA ‘soldiers’ worked might be anticipated to have zero population growth in 25.5 years (that is, in a generation).
  • These felon ‘soldiers’ might attempt to addict virtually all Americans with drugs, possibly through our drinking water, or through bottled water sold in stores, so as to increase the CIA’s customer base.
    • This would result in downtime and a decrease in America’s available man-hours.
    • If our drinking water were poisoned with drugs, then we might have deaths of newborns, toddlers, invalids, and seniors … in other words, of vulnerable parts of our population, because of the poisoned water.

Long-Term Potential Negative Outcomes: Decentralization of Government and Establishment of Drug Warlords Owing Fealty and Tribute to the CIA

Here is a ‘long view’ of the strategy …

  • The chance would arise that small towns across the United States would become like feudal holdings, whose law would be determined by profit rather than law and order.
    • Each of our towns might be ‘captured’, as it were, by local CIA released felon ‘soldiers’. Such ‘captured’ towns might be envisioned to be warlord strongholds, much like those of some despotic African warlords. These feudal holdings would owe fealty and ‘tribute’ to a Central Intelligence Agency on the East Coast.
  • With time, centralization of power on the East Coast would deteriorate, What would remain would be local warlord strongholds, ruled by the released felons. The manner of decentralization might be like the expansion of farming culture from the East Coast of the United States, to the West Coast, only in reverse, like this …
  • Due to the addiction of the population, and the decrease in available manpower because of HIV infection, it would become more difficult for each locality to meet its agricultural supply needs.
    • We might expect, for example, struggles with starvation in lean years.
    • We might anticipate food being held by warlord strongholds, and distributed by them. Granaries are an example of food power accretion in this manner.
    • We might anticipate raids by release felons, living in mountainous areas, upon the flatland communities, with concomitant fighting and bloodshed.
    • We might expect, as food supplies became more scarce, that the population would rely less on drugs, because of their expense, so as to set aside enough food supplies. As this began to happen, then the power of the drug lords might wain, as their wealth dwindled.
      • This might give our towns an opportunity to re-establish democratic process and civil law, through overthrowing the warlords.

ALTERNATIVE STRATEGIES

As I did not much like my line of inquiry and investigation of the above scenario, I would like to present two alternative strategies, with regard to the war against drugs in America.

A Substitute Plan for the CIA to Garner Money for Our Government by Nationalizing and Administering Tobacco Sales, with Doubled Taxes

As things stand, it is illegal for the CIA to engage in business in America. As mentioned above, the concern is that the resultant monopoly and hegemony would erode our Constitutional liberties and threaten our democratic way of life.

However, if our leadership felt that the situation were such that this law must be contravened, then I would suggest that the CIA begin to sell some commodity other than drugs. One such commodity might be tobacco.

From 2000 to 2010, Americans spend about $100B annually on illegal drugs, including cocaine, marijuana, heroin, and methamphetamine, according to the RAND Drug Policy Research Center for the Office of National Drug Control Policy. This is the most recent figure I have on the market value of illegal drugs in the United States, so I will go with this.

Link: “Americans Spent About A Trillion Dollars On Illegal Drugs In The Last Decade,” by Matt Ferner, 13 March 2014, in Huffington Post … https://www.huffingtonpost.com/2014/03/13/americans-trillion-dollars-drugs_n_4943601.html ..

The retail value of 2017 annual tobacco sales in the United States was about $121B …

Link: “Market value of tobacco in the United States from 2013 to 2020 (in million U.S. dollars),” by Jan Conway, 20 February 2020, in Statista: The Statistics Portal” … https://www.statista.com/statistics/491709/tobacco-united-states-market-value/ ..

Looking at these two figures: 2017 annual tobacco sales at $121B, and 2010 estimated annual illegal drug sales at $100 billion, we might consider these to be roughly equal.

Thus the CIA might expect to profit as much from the nationalization of tobacco sales, as it might from sales of recreational drugs, were it to double the tax on tobacco sales.

There would be other upsides to this strategy as well …

  • Like recreational drug use, tobacco use causes health risks. However, I feel that increased use of tobacco might not damage the decision-making ability of people as much as drug use while they are in the workplace. Thus our workforce might more easily maintain its competitive edge in the global economy.
  • As it would have no financial incentive to promote addiction to recreational drugs, the CIA could, without quandary, set aside part of its profits from the sale of tobacco, to educate children and adults on the danger of using drugs, and to offer drug rehab programs. (However, education on the health risks of tobacco might suffer.)
  • There might be less deaths of newborns, toddlers, invalids, and seniors were we to avoid addicting the overall United States population by drugging drinking water (as in the hypothetical instance above)
  • The CIA would not need to use released felons to sell tobacco; they could simply nationalize tobacco sales, and double the tax on them. Instead, released felons might be steered in the direction of employment in less populated areas, such as forestry or fishing. Thus the danger of infecting our schoolchildren with HIV, through use of released felons who may have been infected with HIV in prison, might be mitigated.

A Preferable Alternate Strategy: Legalization and Taxation of Recreational Drugs

I suggest a second alternate strategy, that of legalizing and taxing recreational drugs. I have discussed the benefits of this strategy in a prior blog …

Link: “What Could We Expect in Federal, State and Local Revenue Increases if Recreational Drugs Were Legalized?” by Alice B. Clagett, published on 20 April 2018; updated … https://wp.me/p2Rkym-8yL ..

To recap that article, the primary benefits of the strategy are …

  • $686.2B estimated annual net improvement in the federal bottom line, and
  • $17B estimated annual improvement in the State and local bottom line due to ‘sin tax’ increases

This strategy, then, would bolster the United States economy by providing a good deal of new money for government services, in addition to money for education and rehabilitation in the arena of drug use.

Were it to be implemented along with a strategy of circumventing, insofar as possible, the presence of HIV-infected child molesters in our small towns, the combined strategy would mitigate the timeline of the AIDS pandemic, allowing a slowdown during which an AIDS-resistant American population could develop. This, then, would mitigate manpower diminution in our next generation, about 25 years from now.

This strategy would not require that the CIA contravene its edict to protect the American people’s democratic way of life. Nor would it raise the threat of fascism or dictatorship taking hold in the United States.

Thus the people of American, raised with a healthy regard for the Declaration of Independence and our United States Constitution, might happily continue on, in a restful state of mind, and in what they understandably consider to be their right to pursue personal happiness during their lifetimes.

Consequently, we might confidently anticipate our American economy holding its own in the coming decades, very much in step with the other nations of the world.

United States Call to Action: ‘Homeless Trains’ Like the ‘Orphan Trains’? . by Alice B. Clagett

Written and published on 20 April 2018
Previously titled: ‘Homeless Trains’ Like the ‘Orphan Trains’?

Dear Ones,

I saw an intriguing video about the Orphan Trains that settled orphans (some of them ‘street urchins’ or ‘juvenile delinquents’) from urban environments in farm communities at the turn of the last century …

Link: “West by Orphan Train,” (2014) in IMBd … https://www.imdb.com/title/tt4543530/ ..

I see that the Trump administration has offered 2 billion dollars’ worth of grants to help the homeless …

Link: “US Gives $2B to Help Homeless Amid Plans to Cut Housing Aid,” 11 January 2018 …   https://www.usnews.com/news/best-states/california/articles/2018-01-11/trump-administration-announces-2b-to-help-the-homeless ..

I expect it will take some time for this grant money to filter down into local communities. I have a thought about that …

Might ‘Homeless Trains’ be devised, along the lines of the ‘Orphan Trains’, to resettle the homeless from urban areas into parts of the nation that are in need of labor?

Here is a map showing where the orphans were settled …

Image: “Where the Orphans Went” … https://www.gannett-cdn.com/-mm-/67ca4560bc7bbfb330a680b71514bfe1a319da08/c=0-0-401-301&r=x404&c=534×401/local/-/media/2017/01/27/WIGroup/Sheboygan/636211244698689755–2-Map-where-Children-went.jpg ..

I wonder if this map might be a good starting place for a plan to resettle the urban homeless?

I note also that the ‘orphan train’ children sometimes needed to be resettled in new homes, and sometimes this happened several times to one child. We might anticipate that resettled homeless people might need follow-up and relocation services as well.

A Homeless Plan for the San Fernando Valley . by Alice B. Clagett

Filmed on 4 December 2017; revised

  • INTRODUCTION
  • VIDEO BY ALICE
  • SUMMARY OF THE VIDEO

Dear Ones,

INTRODUCTION

I was reading an article about how a fire at a homeless encampment alongside Fwy 405 is thought to have started the pricey Skirball fire on 6 December 2017 …

Link: “Skirball fire sparked by illegal cooking fire, California officials say,” by Julia Jacobo, 12 December 2017 … http://abcnews.go.com/US/skirball-brush-fire-sparked-illegal-cooking-fire-california/story?id=51746393 ..

I thought it might be a good time to publish the below video about a homeless plan for Los Angeles, as clearly, it’s important to find a solution to the problem of homelessness in Los Angeles, not only for humanitarian reasons (which I myself find very compelling) but also because of …

  • the threat to property owners caused by forest fires,
  • improper sanitation at encampments, which might lead to disease outbreaks, and their spread through homed populations
  • potential lawlessness in confrontations between the homeless and the homed
  • homeowner fears of falling property values,
  • and the clear need to find a way for taxable residents to pay for services for the homeless till they can get back on their feet, as has been evidenced in
    • sharp upticks in property taxes and utility prices in Los Angeles,
    • and declines in some city services, such as …
      • freeway and road repairs, including repaving of residential streets … as I understand it, the block I live on hasn’t been repaired resurfaced since it was first paved, going on 60 years ago.
      • sidewalk repairs caused by street tree roots, although partial rebates may be available for property owners who make such sidewalk repairs … see http://www.sidewalks.lacity.org/ ..
      • repair of potholes in alleys, which issue I explored some years ago and found to be, at that time, insoluble
      • and development of more frequent and more widespread mass transit facilities

If the homeless were housed and employed, they could add to California’s tax base, and assist in financing those Los Angeles City Services that are currently overburdened or on hold.

Further, their tax contributions to the State of California and the City of Los Angeles might help lower the high cost of utilities and property taxes, through a more robust the tax base.

In fact, the simple act of just one homeless person finding good employment gives the City a big lift, in terms of it’s need to support and uplift those in need.

There is an edited Summary after the video …

VIDEO BY ALICE

SUMMARY OF THE VIDEO

Hello, Dear Ones, It’s Alice. I Am of the Stars.

This is a continuation of a suggestion I had for a place to house, or allow an encampment of, homeless people, especially men, or men who are with a woman, but not families. Or maybe just homeless men, in the San Fernando Valley. I understand there are about 6,000 people that need homes there.

Anyway, I came up with this notion, and I’m putting it forth as a possibility. If you like the idea, but the location is not appropriate, then you could use the parameters that I’m choosing by, to find another location in the San Fernando Valley.

So I had in mind, as a locale, the parking lot … and maybe also, as time goes on, the building that used to be Costco, at the intersection of Canoga Avenue and Roscoe Blvd in the San Fernando Valley. That’s the southeast corner of that intersection.

It features a big parking lot, and then there’s a really big Costco building there. There’s also a special kind of fueling station … an electric charging station … there in the parking lot right now. But the Costco has closed up and gone elsewhere, and the property has been, for some time, vacant … probably for lease or for sale.

So I had some thoughts about that …

It’s kind of off by itself. It’s not next to a shopping center, like the OSH property that was deserted at the northeast corner of Victory Blvd and Fallbrook Avenue in the San Fernando Valley. So there is less likely to be complaints about it from shopping center upscale retail stores.

And it’s across the street from a Salvation Army Thrift Store and facility. And it’s also next door to a Home Depot.

And I thought a few things: I thought that, with a high fence, the part of the parking lot that’s not being used otherwise could be fenced off and used as a place where the homeless could pitch their tents.

And I also thought that the people at Salvation Army might be ideally suited to help maintain such a homeless encampment, or to provide professional advice regarding it.

Then, there’s a Salvation Army store right there, which would provide cheap goods.

And the Home Depot, I’ve noticed that there are day laborers who gather outside, ready to help people with their home improvement and repair projects. And I wondered if that might be, temporarily, a source of day labor for the homeless encampment.

Also I thought of Home Depot and Lowes, because they have inexpensive, prefabricated sheds. The smallest of these sheds might be helpful to put up as semi-permanent locations, that would provide some security for their goods if they were to go off on a day job, or other job. And that might also provide them with safety while they are sleeping, and better protection from the elements in case of rain, or like that. Although it would be pretty hot in the summertime. And it wouldn’t necessarily have electricity in it.

I feel that the City of Los Angeles might be able to provide WCs, porta-potties, of the kind that have footpumped water dispensers, so that people could wash their hands with and soap. And so there would waste disposal facilities that could be quickly set up and pretty easily managed, I think.

This is the problem: There’s no grocery store extremely close, although within walking distance for those that are not too handicapped, I feel, there are a couple of big grocery stores. The nearest, 2 blocks to the west, on Roscoe, is Vallarta Supermarkets, which is quite well stocked. But not too close, so maybe a shuttle might be provided, from the place where the people are encamped, to a grocery store … maybe once a day, or twice a day; what do you think?

But in addition, for sundries and a minimal amount of food supplies, there’s a liquor store within a block, a little to the south, on Canoga Ave,

Next to the liquor store is a Post office. I know that a lot of homeless people are depending on their Social Security, SSDI (Social Security Disability Benefits) or SSI (Supplemental Security Income) checks, and that might be a place where they could establish an address, a Post Office Box.

I also noticed there are mass transit routes on both Canoga Avenue and Roscoe Blvd., so that’s good.

So there are a lot of reasons why that particular location is a really good one, for the time being.

Then, I wondered about the Costco … A little bit farther out, a little bit later on, I wondered if there might be a way to provide an incentive for businesses to emply the homeless in stalls, or stations, in that Costco. So that it could be rented, by the year, or whatever, by any number of small businesses that are struggling to get on their feet, and that might get a tax advantage from hiring those people that are homeless.

Also I thought, as far as tax advantages are concerned: Maybe there could be a credit if, say, Home Depot, or Lowes, or one of the local lumber companies or hardware stores wanted to provide a discount on … or even provide outright … some of the small shelters that might be needed for the homeless population in the parking lot.

So basically, that’s what I’m thinking.

To the east, there’s a homeless facility that’s open only during the cold winter months, the coldest months of the year. This is an 85-bed facility in Sylmar now open only in the winter, but which is planned to be converted to a year-round bridge housing facility for women.

Link: “Homeless Shelter For Women To Open In San Fernando Valley,” by California Patch, News Partner, 3 October

But I feel that, in the encampment I’m proposing, it might be good to separate the population, even in that one large parking lot, into …

  • single men, for one large area,
  • and then families, for another area,
  • and then in another area: Handicapped people. And the reason to allow handicapped access to another area is that, there might be some roughhousing and carrying on in the men’s area, for instance. And the handicapped can’t move quite so fast sometimes … They’re not as mobile … And they might be better protected in a separate enclosure.

So those are my thoughts.

I also think that a grading system might be established … maybe with Salvation Army, at first, training people who are in the encampment, to become caretakers or people to help keep order and make sure everything is ok … to call the police if any roughhousing happens, and to have strict rules about that, so that the people that are there can feel safe and comfortable.

And also, if it turns that there are people who are either employed as day laborers for Home Depot, or else, say, in a sort of a factory situation, inside of Costco, if that were to work out … Or even if something were to be worked out in the parking lot there, for day laborers with rudimentary manual skills … then there might be these people who have been trained to help decorum during the day, and to make sure that there are no instances of substance abuse, and like that, which cause the feeling that there might be an unsafe situation happening.

I wondered further … If the homeless were employed, whether there might be a discounted training position available. That is, maybe part of the wage that a person received might be benefits for substance abuse programs, or psychological or health issues programs that might be provided ‘on campus’, as it were.

Well that’s my thought: That place, or someplace like it might prove to be quite a Godsend for the homeless population here in the San Fernando Valley.

Tell me what you think about it! This is a topic for neighborhood discussion.

Talk to you later! Bye bye …

SUMMARY OF THE VIDEO

Hello, Dear Ones, It’s Alice. I Am of the Stars.

I had a few thoughts about the current economy in Los Angeles, and also in Colorado and New Mexico.

On Reducing Landfill by Reusing Road Repaving ‘Scrabble’

I was watching the roads being scraped up in preparation for being repaved today, here in Los Angeles. And I wonder if the scrabble that’s scraped up from the roads might be used on dirt roads to improve them. That would save on landfill expenses in landfills, and it would also improve the dirt roads in outlying areas if it’s nontoxic and doesn’t cause too many problems.

I feel as if it’s worth looking into. And also, I’m thinking, other large landfill issues: If there are items that are being used for landfills a lot, let’s look at the ways to recycle them and use them to improve our lives here in Los Angeles.

On Reusing Substandard Thrift Store Fabric as Clothing and Blankets for the Los Angeles Homeless, Rather than Sending It to Other Countries

For instance, the thrift stores, such as Goodwill and Salvation Army, I think, take substandard clothes and ship them off to other countries. But yet, here we have a great problem with homeless people here in Los Angeles.

Why not use those clothes for the homeless here in the Los Angeles area? And why not use the fabric that’s otherwise unusable to make blankets for the homeless?

The Hidden Cost of Not Providing Immunizations and Infectious Disease Care for Illegal Aliens in Los Angeles

Also, with regard to the homeless, I have read that there are many homeless people that aren’t eligible for health care, such as HIV care and hepatitis care, and care for all of the infectious diseases.

My feeling is that those that are not eligible, because of, say, citizenship, or whatever, are most likely in danger of infecting the homeless people who do have health care here in the Los Angeles area … I think there are 6,000 homeless people here in the San Fernando Valley; 60,000 in Los Angeles County, and probably many more. (1)

The cost to us, in the long term, is great, for not providing health care to those, say, undocumented aliens and so forth, that don’t qualify for health care. This is because they’re living with other homeless people who do get health care, and those people get sicker.

The Importance of Counselling Centers for the Los Angeles Homeless, to Assist Them in Returning to a Productive Life

Also, I feel, … I was talking to a friend about this, and I agree … I think that counselling for the homeless is a major, and perhaps overlooked issue here in Los Angeles.

It is vitally important that the homeless here in the San Fernando Valley have centers available … small, local centers would be best; but even one center or two centers in the San Fernando Valley would be good … that help people get back on their feet by providing information about shelters (of which, I feel, there are very few), and also, especially, about jobs and substance abuse programs, and so forth.

The Hidden Cost of Hiring Illegal Aliens in the Outlying Areas of Los Angeles, Such as the Farming Community

I had one other thought regarding the economy all over the United States and the issue of illegal aliens. Here in Los Angeles, in the outlying areas and farming communities, and so forth, there’s a tendency to hire illegal aliens because their labor is cheaper, right?

I was thinking this over the other night, and it occurred to me that the money that we’re paying as United States citizens … the taxes that we’re paying, that help support the indigenous homeless population, and from which, often, this labor is drawn … these taxes that we pay for welfare, and so forth, for these people are increasing the burden of tax expense of those who employ the homeless … and of everyone else.

And so, our salaries do not stretch as far as they used to, because of the increased tax burden.

And in addition, products have increased in price … Maybe because of this. Because, basically, we’re employing cheap labor, and there are hidden costs. And one of the hidden costs consists of the taxes that we pay for the welfare of the people that aren’t paying into the taxes.

In other words, this whole homeless population is not paying into taxes. Yet, our tax dollars are helping to support them, in terms of health and housing, and so forth.

So there is a hidden cost in employing illegal aliens. So why not hire, locally, people who are citizens instead?

The Upward Spiral of Goods and Utilities, and the Downward Spiral of Living Conditions for Those Paying into Our Tax Base

The thing is that, overall, this country is based on the notion that most people will get jobs, and will pull their own weight and contribute to the economy, you see. And pay taxes and so forth.

So that that smaller percentage of people who are down on their luck and can’t get work for a while, will be able to get by. And, for instance, mothers will have enough milk for their children through the milk program, and so older people who don’t have a safety net financially, will have a minimum amount that they can get by with.

So the whole notion … that most of the people in this country will pull their own weight financially, and will provide taxes … is critical to our situation right now.

What we have is an influx of many, many people who aren’t in a position to pull their own weight. And so, taxes go up.

And so, more people come in, who are willing to work for very little, because they’re not paying taxes. And then, the people that attain citizenship during this process … they begin to bear the burden of, and begin to see the trouble that’s caused by the people who are immigrating illegally into this country.

We’re in a spiral, right now, of higher and higher prices of goods. And very few people are able to afford very much.

The utilities … the water, electricity, gas, and trash collection … are going up immensely here in Los Angeles as well.

On Resigning Ourselves to the Future Prospect of Sustainable Living, Similar to That in Our Grandparents’ and Great-Grandparents’ Time

So we need to look at sustainable living. We need to step out of the system, insofar as possible, and make friends with our neighbors, and try and get by with a lot less, as was done in the days of my grandparents. That’s what I think.

On the Prospect of a Shift in Attitude, by Those Who Have Achieved Citizenship, Toward the Issue of Illegal Immigration

And in the meantime, I feel that those people who have entered the country and attained citizenship, will become aware of, and their attitudes will shift with regard to illegal immigration into the country. I hope that’s the case, anyway.

On Starting Where We Find Our Feet to Be Standing

My own feeling is that the place to start with improvement in the economic lives of a people is at home … in one’s own country. Why should economic opportunities be scarce, south of the border? Why are they now scarcer and scarcer in Los Angeles?

We must start where we are, where we live; speak with our friends and neighbors, and do what we can to change what must be changed, and to find innovative means of subsistence for ourselves, for our families, and for our communities.

In love, light and joy,
I Am of the Stars

Dear Ones,

WORK CAMPING

I just read an article in “AARP the Magazine,” Dec/Jan 2015, called “Mixing Work and Pleasure on the Long, Winding Road.” This is about ‘work camping’, which I thought might be of interest to some of us as we go through the Ascension process. Reason being, a competitive career lifestyle is not always compatible for all of us as the process unfolds. Work camping offers a chance to ratchet down on housing cost … by living in a trailer … and at the same time work for minimum wage at a low key job, and garner enough money to pay for food and gas. With some employers, part time work is available.

I could not find the AARP article online; It looks like you have to become a member to get it. However, in the article they mention Amazon.com has a CamperForce program, providing free campsites and about $10 an hour, plus overtime, for seasonal work in its warehouses all across the US …

Link: “Amazon Camperforce” … http://www.amazondelivers.jobs/about/camperforce/ ..

Some campers do seasonal work for KOA; you have to be willing to clean bathrooms and empty trash.

Link: “Live the Life You Love: Become a KOA Work Kamper” … https://workatkoa.com/ ..

When I was camping at Mesa Verde last summer, I found out that Aramark offers seasonal jobs at National Parks and elsewhere. This sometimes includes a campsite, minimum wage, and part time or full time work in a laundry or gift shop or snack shop, etc …

NATIONAL PARKS AND FEDERAL RECREATION LANDS CAMPING

For those that do not need to work, passes are available to National Parks and Federal Recreation Lands …

Link: “America the Beautiful Passes,” by National Park Service … https://www.nps.gov/planyourvisit/passes.htm ..

However, and this is pretty important, passes do not include camping costs, which can be hefty at National Parks.

Typical camping costs for National Forests, which tend to offer less developed campsites, vary from free to $12 a night …

COLORADO, NEW MEXICO, AND NEVADA STATE PARKS CAMPING

State Parks sometimes offer great opportunities for campers. I noticed on both the Colorado and the New Mexico banks of beautiful Navajo Lake State Park, sites with amenities and an incredible view are offered.

On the New Mexico side, annual camping permits are $180 a year for New Mexico residents, $100 a year for New Mexico resident seniors and disabled, $225 a year for out of state residents. More information here …

LInk: “Navajo Lake State Parks” by New Mexico State Parks …  http://www.emnrd.state.nm.us/SPD/navajolakestatepark.html ..

On the Colorado side of the lake, camping is apparently just $70 a year for one vehicle. For more on the amenities there, see …

Link: “Navajo State Park,” by Colorado State Parks and Wildlife … https://cpw.state.co.us/placestogo/parks/Navajo ..

Looks like that fee will get you the right to camp in other Colorado State Parks as well …

Link: “Annual Pass Information,” by Colorado Parks and Wildlife … https://cpw.state.co.us/buyapply/Pages/AnnualPassInfo.aspx ..

I gather from this chart that Nevada State Parks offer seasonal low entrance fees with free camping. Annual permits for camping in all Nevada State Parks are $200 a year ..

And maybe other state parks have good camping opportunities too.

Dear Ones,

A video about the homeless encampments of the Great Depression, the situation in America today, and the solutions implemented by President Theodore Roosevelt long ago. What answers to this problem might be usefully considered today? Also, American work furlough programs as the wave of the future for prisoners convicted of less notably violent crimes.

There is an edited Summary after the video. Then there are additional sections that supplement the topic of the video.

SUMMARY OF THE VIDEO

Hello, Dear Ones, It’s Alice. I Am of the Stars.

I thought I would tell you a story that my mom told me, in relation to a newspaper story that I saw the other day. The two are related, but they are miles apart in terms of years and generations …

My Mother’s Story About Employment of the Homeless for Public Works in the Great Depression

When I was very young, my mother told me the story of the Great Depression. That was the time she lived through before I was born. In the time of the Great Depression, there was no work to be had. There were a number of reasons why many men could not find work at all. And so, she said, they left their homes and their families, in hopes of finding work elsewhere. And they roamed around and lived under bridge abutments, off the sides of roads, in crude encampments of tent dwellings … and looked for work from there, in hopes that they could get money to support their families.

These tent villages were huge sometimes; and there was some lawlessness there …  sometimes fighting and brawling and alcohol drinking, and maybe even occasionally murders … and of course there was a problem with sanitation, and how they might find enough food to eat; and whether their tents would hold up in a rainstorm, whether they could be warm in the snow, and so forth.

These were desperate men. And the people in the towns, who lived near these homeless encampments, would come to the tent villages, and there would be huge fights and killings and drivings off of people, and so forth.

Then finally it came to the attention of the government, and they tried to think of a solution to this problem. One of the things they came up with, was the idea of hiring these people to do public works projects all over the United States … and often in areas that were rural.

So they would hire them. And in that way these people would have just enough money to support their families. And the Works Progress Administration would hire them; and in that way these people would have just enough money to support their families. And they would transport them to very rural locations.

One of the ideas I have is that then they could get into no trouble; there would be no alcohol; they could get their food supplied for them; and they would be with other people who were in equal economic straits, in a place where there was really nothing to be done but very hard work … with good results too, because among these public works projects of the 1930s, many still remain today. Bridges were built all over the United States. They worked on all kinds of public projects, including roads. And they did great work, very enduring work that is still there. They built the transportation system of America.

Link: “The Living New Deal” … https://livingnewdeal.org/ ..

During a time when there was no hope, the government helped to supply them with a living for themselves and their families.

A Recent News Story about a Homeless Encampment

That is mom’s story. And so now to get to the story that I saw in the newspaper that I saw in the newspaper the other day: I saw a story about a homeless encampment in San Francisco. There wree problems that were reminiscent of the homeless encampments in the 1930s, problems with lawlessness, sanitation, the use of drugs, and so on.

Consequently the government ordered that everyone leave that area. Some people complied, and some people would not comply. At the time that I read this newspaper article, there were people who were determined to stay and express their right to be where they were.

I feel it is time for the government to consider what can be done to employ these people. For instance, there was a nurse there who had lost her work. What can be done to turn around this situation? How can these people be housed? How can they receive medical care? How can they get hope back into their lives?

It is important. This time is now. We do not want homelessness and lawlessness in our cities. But the answer is not violence. The answer is not government edicts to move on. The answer is some constructive thing that can help them to achieve whatever goals they may have that are positively oriented towards society.

I hope this will be considered in the near future, for America. We thought of it long ago. This is just like a redux; it is a return to something to help them maintain their ideal of the American dream, just as we who are homed hope to maintain that ideal.

On Restorative Justice and Work Ethic Education of Prisoners

There is one more thing that I found out during my recent road trip north through California. I was in Ukiah, the county seat of Mendocino County, where there was a work realignment program that allowed all but violent criminals to work at jobs like emptying trash receptacles and road work, and so forth, and then just be in prison at night.

Link: “Corrections: Alternative Programs,” at Mendocino County Sheriff’s Office …  http://www.mendocinosheriff.com/corrections/workrelease.html Home Detention, Work Release, Work Furlough

I believe this was for people who had been convicted of crimes that were not notably violent. This seems to be the wave of the future for criminal justice: Not so much to house people in hopeless circumstances, where they simply scheme to get back at society for what has been done to them, but instead to allow them a chance to work towards a change in their attitude … a chance to have jobs like other people have, and a chance to be treated more humanely, so that they can begin to learn the true rules of society. I say this because I feel it likely that people who operate from the perspective of the criminal mind have not been granted that kind of view of the way that society functions, that most people get. So this is a chance to do that.

You all take care. Love you lots. Bye bye.

[This is the end of the video. The following are supplemental sections …]

HOW SAN FRANCISCO IS DEALING WITH ITS 6,000 HOMELESS

I recently perused an article that mentioned there are now 6,000 homeless in San Francisco …

LInk: “San Francisco Wants Homeless to Leave Tent Camp, But Some Vow to Fight,” by Thomas Fuller, 26 February 2016 … http://www.nytimes.com/2016/02/27/us/san-francisco-wants-homeless-to-leave-tent-camp-but-some-vow-to-fight.html?_r=0 ..

San Francisco’s response to this problem was to evacuate a tent city on Division Street, citing health problems. Of course, the larger problem is: What to do about the homeless all across America.

THE SHANTYTOWNS OR ‘HOOVERVILLES’ OF THE GREAT DEPRESSION

This Wikipedia article describes the homeless encampments of the Great Depression …

LInk: “Hooverville” … https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hooverville ..

In the early 1930s, millions were homeless. Those living on the streets numbered in the hundreds of thousands.

In bitter derision of then-President Herbert Hoover, homeless shantytowns were termed ‘Hoovervilles’.  Homeless families were camped out in New York’s Central Park. There were eight Hoovervilles in Seattle. There was a very large Hooverville in St. Louis as well, with 4 districts and its own mayor.

“The Bonus Army” was a group of World War I veterans who established a Hooverville in the District of Columbia. At its peak, this shantytown numbered 15,000 veterans seeking their benefits. Apparently, there was much violence surrounding this encampment. Here is a very famous photo of veterans fighting with law enforcement …

THE NEW DEAL AND PUBLIC WORKS TO EMPLOY THE UNEMPLOYED

The New Deal was President Theodore Roosevelt’s answer to the Great Depression. See …

LInk: “New Deal,” in Wikipedia … https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/New_Deal#Public_works ..

President Roosevelt’s Public Works program, mentioned in the video and in the Wikipedia article, put many homeless men to work building bridges, dams, courthouses, post offices, and roads. It might be good to have such a government program today to employ the homeless and help build a better America.

Dear Ones,

THE PROPHECY OF THE POPES, BY SALVATORE RUSSO

In 2013 Salvatore Russo had some predictions regarding global and personal changes resulting from the Shift, that to me, are some of the best that anyone has channeled regarding the changes now taking place on Earth, and the concomitant choices available to each of us who are in form on Earth today.

Salvatore Russo’s Section “Coming Changes”

Salvatore Russo’s section “Coming Changes,” I feel, had best be read in its entirety, so that it can be cast in the light of each reader’s understanding of the history of Earth so far …

This section has a list of changes we may look for in the coming years, including changes in …

  • the financial arena
  • economic blocks
  • third-world debt
  • upgrades in the Light quotient of world leadership
  • currency market fluctuations
  • turning of people inward, toward communion with God; this more so than adherence to form and societal expectations with regard to participation in religious institutions
  • less coercion and more free will in dealings of nation with nation
  • deaths [and to this I would add ‘going to ground’ or faked death] of what he terms ‘masonic leadership’ [My term for this is ‘Controllers’.]
  • freeing up of world resources such as food, medicine, and money, for more egalitarian use by all her peoples
  • greater freedoms, and stronger human rights, for the peoples of all nations
  • and worldly signs … such as fire, flood, and so on … that are sent by God to help people achieve greater brotherly love, and a stronger sense of family and community, so that they may together build a greater and brighter future for themselves and for their children

Salvatore Russo’s Section “Microcosmos”

I also liked the section “Microcosmos” in Salvatore Russo’s prophecy, That section lists the many personal, individual themes that will be clearing in the coming times. One need only look to the titles of movies now playing in the theaters to know which these may be.

The table of contents in my blog lists many of the items on Mr. Russo’s list as well, such as: transformation, crime, fear, vengeance, psychology, health, empowerment, clair gifts, and mastery of mind.

I like Salvatore Russo’s list very much, as it is quite complete, and eloquently phrased, in case you would like to read it …

PROPHECY: TEMPORAL PREDICTION AND TIMELINE FLUCTUATIONS DUE TO THE MULTITEMPORAL NATURE OF THE UNIVERSE

I see that Salvatore Russo’s blog refers to a time of Saturn retrogrades in the year 2013, and is continuing to unfold, for most people on Earth, into the year 2019 and onward.

I would like to explain a little about prophecy and the multitemporal nature of the universe. People sometimes say to themselves: This was prophesied to occur in such-and-such a year. That year has come and gone, and the prophecy has not occurred. Clearly … they say … the prophecy was false. This way of thinking occurs when people are trapped in the causal network, through use of their left brain solely.

On Expanding Our Understanding of Time Through Whole Brain Thinking

As we develop whole brain thinking, we begin to get a feel for multitemporality, and for timeline merges and splits and jumps; for rollbacks and roll-forwards (‘previews’) and repeating loops.

We start to have fun with time, much in the way that a child might play with a skateboard in a skateboard park, or a surfer might play with the ocean waves when the surf is up. We begin to have confidence in the notion that we can choose an optimum Awareness timeline; that we can create a prophecy, select a timeline, and change our future.

My blog category: Mastery of mind – subconscious – unconscious mind has more on achieving whole brain thinking.

Timeline Transformation as a Cause of Dark Prophecies Not Manifesting

When we prophecy, and then for masses of people, that prophecy does not immediately manifest, there are several possibilities. Especially in the case of very Dark prophecies, the timeline, through God’s grace, is often merged with a brighter timeline, and transformed to the Light.

I notice, today, that the movie industry is bringing forth Dark timeline after Dark timeline, and placing them before the public eye. We Lightworkers encounter the Dark dreams so manifest as astral stories sometimes sparked, in the movie plot writer’s mind, by single instances in the news, or by a word or phrase they read or hear, which brings forth the emotion of fear or the desire to injure others.

In my understanding, their subconscious mind then creates a plot based on that feeling of fear or anger, with a tiny spark seed of truth in it (the event about which they read or hear, or which they see).

It is up to the Lightworkers, pathfinders, wayshowers, and healers to transform these Dark story lines to the Light, when we encounter them as astral stories in Earth’s noosphere. In that way, the emotions of fear and anger may be transformed to the emotions of love and Light. In that way the noosphere is cleansed, and the energy field of Earth is uplifted.

A Very Delayed Timeline: The Second Coming of Christian Prophecy

In many other instances, there is a ‘news headline’ disparity to do with prophecy: The news of the prophecy does not happen for most people until some time later.

This happened with Christ’s prophecy of the Second Coming. His followers sold all their possessions; they endured harsh poverty, travels through difficult and unsafe terrain, imprisonment, and death. They forewent family life as well, because they felt that the Second Coming would happen during their lifetime. Yet the Second Coming is only just now manifesting, some 2000 years later.

The Hathor Channelings: Tom Kenyon’s Prophetic Timelines

Along similar lines, in Tom Kenyon’s work, the Hathors channelings are dated from 2003 onward …

Link: “Tom Kenyon,” by Tom Kenyon … https://tomkenyon.com … Search the section: Hathors

These channelings include many prophecies that I find to be very much ‘on the mark’. In Tom Kenyon’s Awareness timeline, they were manifest as early as the year 2003 and the years that followed. Yet for the Awareness timeline of many people of Earth … as evidenced by mass media and newspaper headlines … the prophecies are still in the process of unfolding, and are not yet evident to their mental minds.

Signs in the Clouds: Alice Clagett’s Prophetic Timelines

In the same way, my prophecies feel to me as if they are unfolding in the Now, yet it may be some years before I see them in newspaper headlines, which to me represent the Awareness timeline of many people on Earth (although not my own Awareness timeline).

Salvatore Russo’s Prophetic Timelines

As mentioned above, the events named in Salvatore Russo’s work began to manifest in 2013, and are still in the process of playing out, in many timelines. The temporal lag, as explained above, is typical of multitemporal timeline prediction.

Thus for me, his predictions are as true today, as they were in 2013 … in fact, perhaps more so, as to my seeming, a prediction past its predicted time of occurrence adheres to itself greater and greater urgency of its unfolding, like a swooping down of great and inevitable forces, or a marching onward of the unfolding laws of the ever greater love and Light in our Multiverse.

This feeling of impendency and of ever greater pressure of inevitability has to do with Light prophecies rather than Dark prophecies, as the onward course of the Universe, and that of almost all Souls, and of all sentient beings, has the force of evolution towards greater understanding of God through which Creation emanates.

MY THOUGHTS ON SAFELY NAVIGATING THE ROUGH WATERS OF CHANGE

I note the timeline of Salvatore Russo’s predicted changes was apparently pretty brief. By my lights, they have only just started to manifest from 2013 through 2019, in the general arena of humankind. I suppose it depends on the timeline each person chooses, as to how quickly they appear to manifest for that individual.

My own recommendation is to stay out of the political-economic-financial scene insofar as possible. Where the personality intersects with these, maintain a low key, I feel. Disclosures may unfold, as Salvatore Russo predicted. The global economy may change, as may finance, the political scene, and so on. But what are these to you, in actuality?

Far more important in these times of change, I feel, is to be of clear and steady heart, to transform all incoming dense energy strands with love and Light and joy, and to promptly forgive each and every instance of judgment or blame coming my way. To be like Christ, insofar as possible. To manifest Christ consciousness. To be that Light by which all may rise to conscious Atransforwareness. To just be that.

A person’s job may change, or they may hold their job differently, Their family grouping may change, or they may hold their family differently. Their timeline may shift completely, over and over again, if they use the timeline optimization technique …

Spirit to Team,
Optimize timelines!
For the All, through Free Will!

For me, the notion of change became a pretty cool event, once I got used to it. Every day is, to me, the very best of all possible days. Everything new is totally cool. I am into it!

Like the familiar call: Surf’s up!
Like a grand slalom down a snowy slope,
Life’s full of twists and turns, and wonderful surprises!

And so, I greet each of you on this beautiful day, in this best of all timelines, for …

In love, light and joy,
I Am of the Stars
