Here is the weather where I live right now: Sylphs of the wind at play. Tumbleweeds flying about! …

Check it out, you all … There is this big, big wind here today. All night long the wind was blowing … the sylphs of the air cavorting over the hilltop here. And the tumbleweed from the neighboring reservoir is everywhere. It is blocking the street. it has turned my rose bed into a tumbleweed bed. Let me show you …

There is the tumbleweed. That used to be a rose bed there. Coming down into the street … [Walks down into the street] … There is the reservoir … [Shows one of the gates to nature preserve.] … And look, there is the tumbleweed piled against the fence …

Every once in a while one jumps over the fence and comes caroming down the street. It covered the entire street here. Nobody can get through without moving the tumbleweed …

That is pretty cool, right? Every once in awhile I hear a clunk, and I have to go look, because another tumbleweed has come and hit the back of my car.  [Laughs.]  Fortunately no damage yet! The electricity has gone off once or twice.
