COMMENTS: This Celtic god reminds me of the English legend of Herne the Hunter. From this and other depictions of Cernunnos, I see qualities both feminine and masculine, possibly expressed as intersex; eyes in the back of the head (a good quality for a hunter, or for one who is being hunted), expressed graphically as polycephaly. I see affinity for wild animals, strong sex drive, ability to conceal oneself as if an animal, perhaps expressed graphically as changeling, therianthropy or shapeshifting. In the person below, this expresses not as shapeshifting to a deer, but as shapeshifting to a cat, perhaps feral, perhaps domestic, expressing affinity as predator rather than prey. I see a man who changes into a wild cat when sexually aroused.
