I took a look at the first movie in the series “Psychic kids: Children of the Paranormal” …

I liked it for showing the problems that mothers of psychic children have fitting in to society, in the Midwest, and for showing the trouble that psychic children have dealing with second sight and fitting in at school.
There is a big debate about psychic abilities in the United States today. Some people feel very strongly that psychic abilities are a symptom of mental illness. Psychologists and psychiatrists tend to stand in that camp, and may diagnose psychically gifted children as if they were mentally handicapped.
For a child who is struggling to fit in, despite being psychically gifted, I feel such a diagnosis may make their ability to cope with social opprobrium far worse.
The psychic medium Chip Coffey and the clinical psychologist Dr. Lisa Miller, who is the director of the movie series, do quite a good job of helping the mothers and the young daughters in the movie series to understand and deal with clair abilities.
They also do some historical research that helps validate ghost sightings by one of the young girls. It seems to me this helps all three families validate the children’s paranormal gifts.
I like the way the first movie in this series sets up a win-win scenario for children with paranormal abilities. I hope to see more openness to psychic gifts amongst traditional healers in the years to come.
In love, light and joy,
