. . . . .

1. PRAYER OF A YOUNG FATHER AND MOTHER
Channeled by Alice B. Clagett
10 December 2019

Dear Lord, we depend on you
To find us a way to get through

Help our children grow sturdy and strong;
No matter what curve balls life lobs along
Teach each of them to get up and go on

Let trust grow between us; keep our hearts so warm
That we’ll know we can weather every storm
And find in each other the means to survive
The strife and the struggle, the hubbub and jive

May we say to each other, and know in the end, it was …

Job well done!
Job well done!

In God we live
In God we trust
May He be blessed
As He blesses us.

. . . . .

2. PRAYER OF AN ELDEST DAUGHTER AFTER SHE GROWS UP
Channeled by Alice B. Clagett
10 December 2019

Mom asked me
to take care of them
and I did.

Job well done!
Job well done!

Now it’s up to their husbands
to do that work.

Now it’s up to their children
to do that work.

May God be blessed
As He blesses me.

. . . . .

3. PRAYER OF A BROTHER WITH AN ELDEST SISTER AFTER THEY GROW UP
Channeled by Alice B. Clagett
10 December 2019

I did a good job
of evading her clutches

Job well done!
Job well done!

There’s no one to tell me what to do!
I became a man! I escaped her!

May God be blessed
As He blesses me.

. . . . .

4. PRAYER OF THE MIDDLE CHILD AFTER GROWING UP
Channeled by Alice B. Clagett
10 December 2019

I got it from both ends
But I am the most well adjusted

I know how to deal with the Lord it over
And how to take care of the weeping youngster

They say that as a child I walked
Into the house with a yellow nose
From the pollen on the garden flowers …

I know which is the sweetest rose
And which the most beautiful flower!

Job well done!
Job well done!

Now I find I can juggle work with joy
I deal well with girls and also with boys
I am cream of the crop, and top of my form
For, raised in the middle I found out the norm

May God be blessed
As He blesses me.

. . . . .

5. PRAYER OF OLDER SIBLINGS FOR A YOUNGEST BROTHER WHO HAS GROWN UP
Channeled by Alice B. Clagett
10 December 2019

We did what we could
When he was young
To wake him and clothe him
And put bandaids on

And hug him and love him
And wipe off those tears
And mind him and scold him
And quell every fear

Job well done!
Job well done!

Now that he’s grown
It is up to him
To do as he wants
In this wide, wide world
And land as he must
on his own two feet

May God be blessed
As He blesses us.

. . . . .

6. PRAYER OF A YOUNGEST BROTHER AFTER HE GROWS UP
Channeled by Alice B. Clagett
10 December 2019

When I was young
I was shoved around
But no matter what
I held onto my dream
That one day I’d be
Footloose and fancy free

Job well done!
Job well done!

Now it’s up to me
to get it on
Any way that I can
All day long

May God be blessed
As He blesses me.

. . . . .

7. PRAYER OF A YOUNGEST DAUGHTER AFTER SHE GROWS UP
Channeled by Alice B. Clagett
10 December 2019

I was the youngest! I was loved best!
I was the apple of my folks’ eye.

I don’t like to talk a lot
Because then my siblings would give me a swat,
But I love to create things.

Job well done!
Job well done!

Now my husband
Sweetly coddles me;
I’m cool and collected
And happy to be
Loyal to family
And cleverly me!

May God be blessed
As He blesses me.

. . . . .

8. PRAYER OF A MOTHER AND FATHER WITH GROWN CHILDREN
Channeled by Alice B. Clagett
10 December 2019

We provided for them
for a long, long time.

Job well done!
Job well done!

Now it’s our children’s turn
to provide for us.

May God be blessed
As He blesses us.

. . . . .

9. PRAYER OF A CHILD ORPHANED IN LATER LIFE
Channeled by Alice B. Clagett
10 December 2019

When I was young my parents told me
When to get up and when to sleep

Go to school … Go to church …
Don’t swallow that gum
And whatever you do,
Don’t put your feet
In the x-ray machine
In the back of the Marlboro shoe store

Play well with your friends
Smile when you speak
Be a good neighbor
Treat your folks well.

And mom said:
We may be poor
But we brush our teeth
And watch what we say
And watch what we eat

And dad said:
Though we have naught to spare
We stand by our deeds!
We’re poor as church mice
But honest and clean!

And we were.

I say to them
Now their work is o’er:

Job well done!
Job well done!

Now it’s up to me
to play that role
for the little child
that abides in me.

May God be blessed
As He blesses me.

. . . . .

In love, light and joy,
I Am of the Stars
